Psalm 29
1 Give unto the Lord, O ye mighty, give unto the Lord glory and strength.
2 Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
3 The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the Lord is upon many waters.

The joy of the Lord is our strength. The strength of the Lord is given unto His children and His children rely upon Him.

There is always something to rejoice in the Lord about . To give honor and Glory due to his name, it’s just simply acknowledging him for who he is. He is Lord above all, King of Kings! There is none more righteous and holy and praiseworthy then our God. No God like Jehovah

The Voice of God- This speaks of a storm of judgment. The day of the Lord shall come as a great tempest, but following it will be the calm of the Messianic Age when the Lord is King.
When you humble yourself to him, and pray he will hear, His voice is mighty and strong, always praise him, worship him, thank him, and give him all the Glory and Honer.
For this Day that the Lord Has Made and I Will rejoice and Be glad in it !

Do you ever complain about the weather? As David watched a thunderstorm sweep down over Israel it inspired him to praise rather than grumble. He calls upon all the hosts of heaven to worship the Lord in full recognition of His glory and strength as revealed in the storm.

The 2 things most people seek in life. POWER to overcome life’s challenges and obstacles and PEACE to live by. The psalmist declares here that both come from the LORD.
BOTH come from the LORD. Not professions, relationships, riches or positions. BUT. How do we access these highly desired attributes. The answer is found in the promise.

PRAISE JESUS and LIVE HOLY… BOOM!
The Blessing of PEACE and POWER is Born when we PRAISE the LORD. Get up out of that cave and get to JUDAH!

This chapter is very poetic. Psalms like this one is the very reason the Jewish people miss the fact the Jesus is the Messiah. You might be wondering, “How’s that?” Well think about it, we have a very poetic psalm here with multiple metaphors. So what happens when we go to a psalm talking about something prophetic? Most folks miss the point altogether. They (the Jewish people) think it’s just poetic language when the Psalms prophesy about the Messiah being beaten, pierced, and his garments being divided or they think that it is David himself complaining to God about being mistreated by the heathen.

We read about the power of the voice of the Lord and know he is all powerful. We heard Pastor preach last night about power of our voice in praise and worship that can activate the power of God into our lives. While we don’t have the power of God, through giving him our praise we can active his power and “declare or decree a thing” into our live our the lives of others. I give him praise!
Psalms 29:2 (KJV), “Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.”
Psalms 29:11 (KJV), “The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.”
When we Give the LORD the Glory, the Honor, the Praise that is due unto HIM, and we Worship Him in the beauty of Holiness with clean hands and a pure heart, then “A BLESSING IS BORN.” The LORD will Bless us with Strength and Peace.

You can almost imagine David writing this psalm as he watches a storm blow in from the sea. The power of the wind pushes against him and he is reminded of how God’s power moves us and guides us. As he hears the thunder David is reminded of the roaring of God’s voice. The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace.
Psalm 29: A thunderstorm towers majestically above the Promised Land arousing David’s praise and sparking the realization the it’s the Lord who is enthroned in nature. Surely so great a God is able to strengthen and bless His people.

The voice of the Lord can speak to you so quietly, yet be so powerful and clear, you know that the Almighty is speaking, no doubts that He is giving you a revelation, or a conclusion or direction, you know without a doubt that it is Him. Listen, He is speaking, open your heart to what He is saying, obey as He is directing and be thankful for His guidance. Thank you, Jesus.

Having strength and peace from God is so wonderful. He helps us with our needs. I bless our Lord for all he has done, and is doing for me. I am grateful such a loving and caring God.

There are times it feels like the winds and waves of life are beating against us, but if we just look to God he will give us strength and peace. It is time to speak peace and strength into our lives, and know he is there through every situation.

God is a just and fair God, he knows when to be assertive and when to be gentle. God can do all things.

i took a step back in fear of everything that has happened this year. But God I’m trusting you with everything. I know in the end there are greater things to come and I will receive that peace in my mind and body and my hurt. Thank you Jesus for everything. For never leaving me. For allowing me to be able to see another day. For being able to feel and grasp this thing called life. And be able to reach my family and anyone who steps into my life. I know your not done with me. I know this pain will turn into joy. Something beautiful and shape something better yet to come..
I FEAR YOU GOD!!! I TRUST YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING!! AND ILL WORSHIP YOU AND PRAISE YOU THROUGH THIS STORM! THERES NO ONE GREATER THEN YOU!! NO ONE LIKE YOU WHO CAN MAKE THOSE MIRACLES APPEAR LIKE YOU GOD!!
