Genesis Chapter 7

Genesis 7

1And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

2Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.

3Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.

4For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.

5And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him.

6And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.

7And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.

8Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth,

9There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.

10And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.

11In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

12And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

13In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;

14They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort.

15And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.

16And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.

17And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.

18And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.

19And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.

20Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.

21And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:

22All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.

23And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.

24And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.

  1. 22All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.

I don’t want to be on dry land, but I want to dive into the deep with Jesus. Pofw is walking into a new dimension of revival and if we stay behind on the dry ground a spiritual death will consume us. I believe that pofw will see a revival that is greater than the Day of Pentecost outpouring. Dive into the deep and experience the miraculous! Be church!

  2. 6 Noah was 600 years old when the flood covered the earth. Noah shows obedience to God at his old age. Obedience to God is a requirement throughout our life. No matter how old you may be, lets obey God at all times.

  3. 23And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.

  4. It took Noah 125 years to build the ark. Imagine waiting 125 years for it to rain. Noah knew that God had made a promise and that God was going ot keep his promise so he stayed steadfast in what he was commanded to do. Imagine the patience to wait 125 years for a promise. Even Abraham in the Bible could not wait that long.

  5. The word says that the deep was broken up and the rains came down. In God’s purifying act it can from above but also below. I believe that the revival coming that God wants to send, the flow will be so momentous it will come from above and below, surrounding us, and those not in the Ark, the church, will drown.

  6. 7. And Noah went in and his son’s ,and his wife, and his son’s wifes with him…..
I see in this scripture that Noah not only lived a righteous life before God but he had the respect of his family and even his in-laws. They all followed him into the ark. God spoke to Noah to build the ark and on the word of their husband, father and father-in-law, they all went into the ark. What a testimony of the spiritual head of the home!

  7. v1 ” For thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation”

We are living and walking with a promise
    ” GOD’s WORD”
A great way to exercise our faith. His word will makie us clean. If we obey, and have faith in GOD’s WORD, as Noah did.
The worst thing about doubt it offense, hurts, and griefs GOD.
Bilieve obey, and have faith in GOD’s word.
It’s yours GOD wants to do it for you.

“And became heir of the righteousness which is by faith” Heb.11:17

  8. 15And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.
22All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.

Obedience to God brings breath of life. Disobedience brings death.

  9. 5And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him.

9There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.

16And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.

23…and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.

Obedience to all that God commands brings life.

  10. GOD IS SERIOUS

23 And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.

24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.

Consider 40 days of rain and another 110 days to begin to clear. 150 days on the ark with those animals and no doubt the stench of death all around them. 5 months on the GOD ordered saving vessel.

Everything else was dead. Judgement is real; GOD has already judged once, we best believe he will judge in the end. BE Ready!

Repent and get in the church with a full time, full hearted commitment.

  11. Be A Man; Your Family Depends On It

    Genesis 7:1

It is obvious that Noah was doing something right and happened to be the only one doing something right in all of that generation. Noah and his family was called into the ark. Noah saved his HOUSE (Family) because he obeyed the LORD. He was a Righteous Man, not a highly esteemed man, who pleased the Lord regardless of what others thought he should do. If Noah wouldn’t have been sensitive enough to obey the direction of the Lord completely his whole house would’ve been lost.

  12. Thinking of what Pastor said at the close of warfare prayer, Achan’s decisions cost him his whole family in addition to his own life, yet here we see Noah’s decisions put him in position to be favored of God to save not just his life but all his house. Two men, two drastically different outcomes, and a choice still before everyone of us today. Following God requires sacrifice, a made-up mind, a fixed heart, and a vision of faith.

  13. Let it flow, He makes all things NEW!!

Rev 22:1 Then the angel showed me a river with the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb.2 It flowed down the center of the main street. On each side of the river grew a tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit,* with a fresh crop each month. The leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations.

7 “Look, I am coming soon! Blessed are those who obey the words of prophecy written in this book.*”
    NLT

  14. Verse 5 says that Noah did all the Lord commanded him. It’s important to do what God says because it’s the only way to stay safe.

  15. There seemed to be no problem gathering the animals, God took care of the details of that job while Noah was doing his part by building the ark. Often we do just the opposite of Noah. We worry about details over which we have no control, while neglecting specific areas that are under our control. Like Noah, we should concentrate on what God has given us to do, and leave the rest to God.

  16. 23And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.

Noah and his family remained alive because of their obedience to God.

  17. This chapter is sobering. God doesn’t play why do we? The Lord is coming back and he will not play then either. We all have a lifetime (our lifetime according to God), we must Be-Church and spread the Word, before the door is shut again and it is too late. May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  18. 2Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.

3Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.

4For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.

God takes care of all his creations. Only a fool wouldn’t want to serve a God like that.
