Deuteronomy Chapter 7

30 Days of Prayer

Day 27

Pray for the manifestation of healing, signs, wonders, and miracles for God‘s glory: “My speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (I Corinthians 2:4)

Deuteronomy 7

1When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;

2And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:

3Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.

4For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.

5But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.

6For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

7The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:

8But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

9Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

10And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face.

11Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them.

12Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers:

13And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

14Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle.

15And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.

16And thou shalt consume all the people which the LORD thy God shall deliver thee; thine eye shall have no pity upon them: neither shalt thou serve their gods; for that will be a snare unto thee.

17If thou shalt say in thine heart, These nations are more than I; how can I dispossess them?

18Thou shalt not be afraid of them: but shalt well remember what the LORD thy God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt;

19The great temptations which thine eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the stretched out arm, whereby the LORD thy God brought thee out: so shall the LORD thy God do unto all the people of whom thou art afraid.

20Moreover the LORD thy God will send the hornet among them, until they that are left, and hide themselves from thee, be destroyed.

21Thou shalt not be affrighted at them: for the LORD thy God is among you, a mighty God and terrible.

22And the LORD thy God will put out those nations before thee by little and little: thou mayest not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee.

23But the LORD thy God shall deliver them unto thee, and shall destroy them with a mighty destruction, until they be destroyed.

24And he shall deliver their kings into thine hand, and thou shalt destroy their name from under heaven: there shall no man be able to stand before thee, until thou have destroyed them.

25The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therin: for it is an abomination to the LORD thy God.

26Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.

  1. If we will obey God and follow him, He will go before us and protect us. He will keep us from harm.

    Mark 16:15-18 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

  2. 2And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:

    3Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.

    4For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.

    5But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.

    Burn ALL bridges that will cause seperation from God.

  3. A LOVE COVENANT

    v7 NIV the Lord did not set his affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples for you were the fewest of all peoples. v8 But is was because the Lord loved you and kept the oath he swore to your forefathers that he brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the land of slavery from the power of pharoah king of Egypt. 9 Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his convenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.

    What an awesome revelation. Love that knows no measure and faithfulness throughout the ages.

  4. 12Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers:
    13And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

  5. And you shall not bring an abominable thing into your house and become devoted to destruction like it. You shall utterly detest and abhor it, for it is devoted to destruction. (Deuteronomy 7:26 ESV)

    Bringing things into our house contrary to the nature of God devotes us to destruction.

    By our decisions we can choose to destroy ourselves.

  6. 9Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

    THis is so true. I can say that He is faithful and He does keep all of His promises. Take this to heart and know that it is true.

  7. 6For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

    How the Lord loves us! To choose us, even as gentiles, we have been adopted by a King. What a privilege and blessing!

  8. Deut.7.21thou shall not be affrighted at them.for the Lord thy God is among you,a mighty God an terrible.
    I would repeat and repeat this verse specially when all hell and his demons come against me because that’s what this verse mean.alejandra do not be afraid.for I am with thee.

    GREATeR is HE(Holy G) than you(percecutio

  9. MEN CHOOSE YOUR SPOUSE WISELY

    3 Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.
    4 For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.

    The LORD clearly states what many of us have witnessed over and over again. The POWER of the “influence” of a woman. While the woman is the weaker vessel, the second created and second in authority, we learn a principal in the garden of Eden. The WOMAN has “influence”!

    Men when considering a wife, based on this scripture you must establish first and foremost is of the same FAITH “belief system”? How can 2 walk together except they agree?

    iPray

  10. v15 ” And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness ,”

    In The Name of the LORD.
    There’s only one divine healer.
    The LORD shall raise you ( me) up.

  11. This chapter illustrates straightforwardness. “For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.” It was made very clear of the blessings OR the curse, which was in the hands of the children of Israel. God’s Word also makes it very clear of the blessings OR the curse, which is in our hands; IF ipray, IF iwork, IF igive, then ireap. May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  12. 13And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

    God promises us blessings that we can’t contain, his will be done, his love is unconditional, but he his a jealous god, we shall keep his commandments and have no idols before him, or we will assume consequences, there will always be consequences when we choose to make wrong choices. Lord I worship you and love you with all my heart and all my soul. Lead me and guide me to do your will, I seek you, I want to be close to you now and forever.

  13. 8But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

    THE LORD WILL DELIVER ME FROM PHAROAH’S WORKAHOLIC SOON

  14. vs. 6 says, ” For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God: the Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.”

    We as the children of God, are a special people unto him. I Peter 2:9 says, ” But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.”

  15. 3Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.

    4For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.

    Biblical principle for not being unequally yoked!

  16. V8 “But because the Lord loved you…”

    Beginning of story, end of story. Catching ahold of the revelation of God’s love for us will change us. For too many “Jesus loves you” are just empty words we try to treat as important, not powerful words of life that *are* important to us.

    The children of Israel would continue on to live as if they hadn’t received the message of God’s love, and indeed it isn’t until we meet God (who *is* love) in way that we begin to *know* Him that we see true, deep change emerging in us. More than a miracle that changes our situation or actions, it is something that transforms us on the inside.

  17. Verses 12-13 in the Message Version reads…”And this is what will happen: When you, on your part, will obey these directives, keeping and following them, God, on his part, will keep the covenant of loyal love that he made with your ancestors:

    He will love you,
    he will bless you,
    he will increase you.”

    When we obey, when we do our part, when we keep, and when we follow; then, God will keep, God will love, God will bless, and he will increase YOU!

  18. 8But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

    9Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

    The only thing that God CANNOT do is lie…and if God says He will do it, we can put our faith in His word.

  19. Stay seperated from others who are not of like faith. Don’ t intermarry because they will lead you astray.

    v15 Does this mean that the people who are so sick in this generation has not kept the commands, statues, and judgments of GOD? I think that it just might mean that because there are so many people with strange diseases and other sicknesses now.

  20. God is terrible when your on the wrong side. This is why its so important for us to win our city to the Lord. If we dont he will destroy them
