  1. ILove to eat breakfast with Jesus

We could add another son to the list of Benjaminites… Paul

Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; (Philippians 3:5 KJV)

  2. Vs. 33-40 depict a line of men that lost their royal privilege.

Saul’s choice was so powerful it removed generations from the opportunity to be king.

Saul was of the tribe of Benjamin. Benjamin means “son if my right hand.” The right hand is a symbol of strength, virtue, and power.

When Saul fell, God raised up a man after his own heart from the tribe of Judah, which means praise.

God does not look on the outward, but the inward man. To lead effectively in the kingdom it takes more than strength. God’s kingdom operates on the principle of the Father.

Jesus said “I do nothing, except I see the Father do it.”

Praise places God first in our lives. He takes the front lines, and helps us to lead. Praise helps us to keep things in proper perspective.

40 And the sons of Ulam were mighty men of valour, archers, and had many sons, and sons’ sons, an hundred and fifty. All these are of the sons of Benjamin.

If time was committed we would find unique meaning to each and every name listed so far here in the book of Chronicles. I chose to look at Ulam today and found a Leadership principal.

    The name Ulam means:

    Ulam = “their leader: vestibule”

    Vestibule means entrance.

I was curious as to why the writer lists name after name, generation after generation, then all of the sudden add a description.

In verse 40 Ulam was a Leader and the obvious is that his sons were followers and it BLESSED them.

Valour – strength, might, efficiency, wealth, army

  4. This chapter illustrates recognizable. While we do read many names, the sons of Ulam are recognized as being great warriors. Just as there will be many remembered in our time, what a great recognition it would be, if one was recognized as a prayer warrior for Jesus. May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  5. The only thing I keep thinking in this chapter was that there were mighty men of valour that were over certain men chiefs of the sons of men ect.
I’m glad that the church of yhe Living God there is men, elders ptophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers…that look after us and teach us and are heads over us.I thank the Lotd for ministries too that God has for us .
At the the “chutch of Jesus” (pofw) thare id safety in my eyes.
Thank you Lord for putting me in a place of safety .

    • Sorry for all the miss spelled words. Nrw phone.:( thank the Lord for the blog this is my daily bread.:).

  6. This chapter continues with the descendants of Benjamin and the family of Saul. It lists generation after generation and how the next would become leaders of their clans. The young people in our church are that future generation of leaders. We must teach them, instruct them and guide them to know the one true God! We can do these things by following the Leader OURSELVES that God has placed in our lives.

  7. 40 And the sons of Ulam were mighty men of valour, archers, and had many sons, and sons’ sons, an hundred and fifty. All these are of the sons of Benjamin.

We can look at this and say,” More reading of names.” But as I was reading in hit me. These are the sons, and grandsons of Benjamin. Now that might not be significant to some, but it is. For the reason that we are the sons and daughters of them spiritually. We can also look at it and say that we are the sons and daughters of our spiritual leaders. Remember those that have gone before you.

  8. Divorce

OT law allowed a man to divorce his wife if she became “displeasing to him because he found something indecent about her” (Dt 24:1). It seems way too easy doesnt it? But this law of Moses was enacted to protecet women, since husbands were in the practive of abandoning their wives without explanation, of course because its simply too easy to dismiss a women once she because the toy no longer fun to play with. A husband had time to think about decisions as he prepared a “certificate of divorce” and gave it to his wife. Jesus says divorce is allowed because those involved have hard hearts (Mt 19:8). The rabbis tried to drag Jesus into their continuing debate about “something indecent”, but he refuses to join thier argument (Mt 19:3-6). He simply quotes God’s original intent for marriage: “A man and women are to leave their parents and come togethere as one (Gen 2:24). The fall of Adam and Eve has blighted the beauty of the relationship, but God’s exquisite design for marriage can still be fulfilled, and couples can still enjoy a mutually joyful and permanent relationship.

  9. v28″ These dwelt in Jerusalem.”

Thank you JESUS for dwelling in our hearts
For your peace and comfort of the
    Holy Ghost.

As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is around about His people from henceforth even for ever. Ps.125:2

HE promised never to leave us nor forsake us.
    iGive Thanks

  10. Tammy daughter of James and Brenda wed Bryan son of Janis and Jimmy and begat Jaci and Tiffany.

Seriously, what kind of heritage are we leaving for our generation? I want my kids to say that their parents left them a heritage and they live for God all the days of their life.

  11. Lineage of the mighty men of valor, not only in physical war but for the Kingdom of God; lineage from where the first king of Israel was chosen… Up untill this day God is choosing people for His kingdom. Will we obey the call and present ourselves approved?

  12. And my fathers mother begat Albert,Henry,Alex,Rudolfo, Eva.Marie,Sarah, and Barbara And my Mothers Father begat Paul, Gilbert, Paul, Rudy,Salia,Virginia,Aurora, and Reina which means Queen for she was the oldest. And also she begat Henrietta who was the mother of Arturo,Rudy,Irene Elena, and Margarita. Now they begat many chidren. The children of Arturo where Leah, Abigail, Crystal,Rebba, and Jamie. But sin came into the world and Began to turn man from marrying and multiplying. They chose money and possession over family. They began to abort what they could begat. Men with men could have no children ,women with women could not begat offspring, So the land became barren and full of idols,Television computers entertainment Xbox took the place of chidrens laughter. And the Lord was not pleased.

  13. You should never forget where your family comes from! We should be cautious of the history we are going to leave for our families!

  14. What a testimony, that God would take a chapter and devote it to sharing with every generation that would read his word, that those named here were declared to be mighty men of God.

40 And the sons of Ulam were mighty men of valour, archers, and had many sons, and sons’ sons, an hundred and fifty. All these are of the sons of Benjamin.

  15. 8 And Shaharaim begat children in the country of Moab, after he had sent them away; Hushim and Baara were his wives.

Moab, why is it that sin is so appealing? The Moabites were wicked people, yet here goes this man of God chasing after his on sinful desires. Many times, we all fall to our sinful desires, but we must fight to withstand our flesh. The bible tells us to resist the devil and he will flee. When people talk about me, I don’t want them to say he was a good guy but he had a problem keeping his flesh under control… Instead I want to be known as the man of God that he called me to be…

  16. 40 And the sons of Ulam were mighty men of valour, archers, and had many sons, and sons’ sons, an hundred and fifty. All these are of the sons of Benjamin.
I pray that when people look at me and my family they will say that we were mighty men and women of valour and were champions for the kingdom of God.

  17. It is amazing the significance of some that there is a little pertinent information regarding their name, and others are just listed by name. I want there to be signifigance about my life, and not just another name in the history books of POFW.

  18. We all are subject to someone’s opinion, but when God decides to make reference to you in his book it is not just a subjective opinion, it is the truth. What a blessing to have God almighty take the time out of the lessons to make reference to his mighty. Most of these names we know nothing about. We can pick a few out of the entire passage that we know something about but most of them nothing. How many doors are thereto unlock in this word? How many paths could a person take to discovering the hidden treasures beneath the mention of a name? The time that I spend in the word has to increase if I want to start unfolding these marvelous accounts and their lessons.

  19. 40 And the sons of Ulam were mighty men of valour, archers, and had many sons, and sons’ sons, an hundred and fifty. All these are of the sons of Benjamin.

Benjamin had many descendants, the Lord blessed him with warriors and many grandchildren.

Lord pour your blessings over me and my family. Bless us with brave warriors.

  20. Ben-oni verses Bengamin
Ben-oni was the name given to him by his dying/dead mother. It meant son of my sorrow.

Bengamin was the name his father called him meaning son of my right hand.

The right hand is the blessing hand, see Gen 48:13-end

  21. I read in this chapter hints of deep family issues that surely influenced those in the family line. Exile, divorce, men whose chose lives of sin… It can be hard to imagine life several generations into the future yet we are wise to be mindful of what it is that we are laying up as inheritance for those following. No, our mistakes may not absolutely doom our children to the same sort of fate, but why put a stumblingblock before them as just one more thing they must overcome?
