Job 25

1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places.

Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise?

How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?

Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.

How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?

  1. Bildad reminds Job that God is Holy and man is not.
vs. 4 Praise the Lord that we can be justified through faith, repentance, baptism and the Holy Ghost.

  2. Mercy
    Vs 4

    Romans 9:14-16 AMP

What shall we conclude then? Is there injustice upon God’s part? Certainly not! For He says to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy and I will have compassion (pity) on whom I will have compassion. So then [God’s gift] is not a question of human will and human effort, but of God’s mercy. [It depends not on one’s own willingness nor on his strenuous exertion as in running a race, but on God’s having mercy on him.]

Thank you Jesus for you are good and your mercy endures forever! I’m so glad that our future is not predicated by what others say. Since the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And He is and has the Last Word in our lives.

3 Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise?

Even though 1/3 of the angels fell to deception and were dismissed, disfellowshipped from heaven. Bildad confesses that there is no way for man to know how many Holy Angels are waiting at the command of GOD to serve him and war for HIS will in our lives.

Hebrews 2:6 It says in Scripture,
    What is man and woman that you bother with them;
why take a second look their way?

7 You made them not quite as high as angels,
    bright with Eden’s dawn light;

8 Then you put them in charge
of your entire handcrafted world. When God put them in charge of everything, nothing was excluded. But we don’t see it yet, don’t see everything under human jurisdiction. MSG

The revelation that Angels WAR for us at HIS command and cannot relate to the outcome. They know only GOD (Good). The Armies of GOD are so many, powerful, and available that they are anxiously waiting to perform his will and execute HIS command, not knowing or concerned with the outcome only obedience to their Master and Maker GOD.

iPray this attitude and spirit would overtake the Church of the Living GOD in these last days. The church woking in harmony with the Angels (Armies of GOD) we WILL accomplish HIS WILL in the heavens and in earth.

I am not sure if Bildad intended to be a FAITH builder or not, but I am inspired by the thought that there are INNUMERABLE ARMIES OF GOD prepared to war on my behalf today.

We simply need to show up for the battle!

1Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

GOD will direct HIS Heavenly Armies (Angels) and HIS Earthly Armies (Church)!

I choose today to obey HIS command and perform HIS will for today, I trust HIM for the outcome.

  4. How can man be justified by God……Isaiah 64:6 KJV

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags;…..
So true, but thankful that we serve a merciful God. His love for me. That Jesus would shed his blood on calvary, that his Holy Spirit would draw me to a place of repentance, a place to be baptized, and a place to be filled with the Holy Ghost!! Gloria a Dios!!!!

  5. This chapter illustrates self. Bildad’s counsel to Job was of self and not of God. One would be wise to seek counsel from one that charges one to pray and seek the Lord, and states let us see what sayeth the Word of God. May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  6. Bilgad’s onslaught against God to his “friend” Job continues in this chapter. We must be aware of “friends” that continually judge our relationship with Lord by trying to convince us that the things we feel compelled to do, or not do, doesn’t matter to God. Everything does matter and we can’t allow the influence of people determine our belief system and our conviction system.

  7. ILove to eat Turkey leftovers with Jesus

    The Armies of The Lord

3 Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise?

And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. (Revelation 19:14 KJV)

But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, (Hebrews 12:22 KJV)

We out number the devil…we just have to overcome our flesh

  8. The moon
The Moon is in synchronous rotation with Earth, always showing the same face with its near side marked by dark volcanic maria that fill between the bright ancient crustal highlands and the prominent impact craters. It is the brightest object in the sky after the Sun, although its surface is actually very dark, with a reflectance similar to that of coal.

The moon only reflects the light of the sun.

This is similar to us. We have no light of our own.

Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. (Psalm 51:5 KJV)

When we repent, are baptized in Jesus name and become filled with the Holy Ghoat we are cleansed by God and we begin to shine his light. We reflect God’s light to the world like the moon reflects the light of the sun.

  9. I would like to say I hope everyone at POFW had a Happy Thanksgiving

These scriptures are filled with great thoughts from how great our God is.

First of all is there any number of his armies, I am reminded of the opening of the eyes of Elsha’s servant when he said open his eyes where he can see the army of God that is with us 2Kings 6 :16 & 17. God will always have our back!!!!

Verse 4 How can a man be justified with God? What a question . The only way man can be justifed would be thru the mercy of God, that he showed us on calvary and made a way of escape for us all.

    Thank God for calvary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. v2 Dominion and fear are with, he maketh peace in his high places.

Here is another oneness scripture. GOD is not divided . ” I and my FATHER are one.”

“The fulness of the Godhead” Col.2:8
    We are complete in JESUS.
There’s just something about His Name . We haven’t even scratch the surface . There is something about believing in His Name.
Know it, Believe it ,don’t live beneth your privilege . The name of JESUS IS THE NAME OF THE FATHER AND THE HOLY GHOST.
    Above every name.
Let GOD shine through you . We may be living in bad times and days that’s okay
GOD IS HERE! HIS Gospel Is Here!
    Thank you JESUS …. that’s security .
I thank HIM for His precious BLOOD!

  11. 6 How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?

And yet He calls me friend. God loves us so much that He died for us. This is the God that I serve.

  12. Bildad’s last words cut to the chase claiming: All humans are maggots, worms. Not a pretty picture, but Bildad is in a way right. No human being can be righteous on his/her own. But Bildad doesn’t know the rest of the story. Jesus Christ came to pay the ultimate price for human unrighteousness by dying for a lost world. Because we are declared righteous through the shed blood of Jesus (Ro 3:21-25), we don’t need to settle for being mere “worms” again! Christ did not die for worms, but for people he loves with abandon (Jn 3:16; Ro 5:8).

  13. Bildad’s is simply reinforcing the importance of blind faith, for even if we don’t know the plan, there is one . He doesn’t need to consult us or justify his reason for we are only servants (worms). Jesus gave us a prefect example of giving his all without questioning. For God has promised to peace in high places and his will be done.

  14. Verses 2-4 NKJV “Dominion and fear belong to Him; He makes peace in His high places. Is there any number to His armies? Upon whom does His light not rise? How then can man be righteous before God? Or how can he be pure who is born of a woman?”

Psalm 112:1-4 NKJV “Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, Who delights greatly in His commandments. His descendants will be mighty on earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches will be in his house, And his righteousness endures forever. Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness; He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.”

  15. Can his armies be numbered? On whom does his light not rise? -Job 25:3

Jude 1:14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

I am glad to be in the Army of the Lord

  16. How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?

Little hope is present with a verse like this. We are all born into sin, our righteousness as filthy rags from the very beginning. But our hope lies in the blood of Christ. The season is upon us that we focus our celebration on the birth of the saviour, but we remember it is beyond the miracle of His birth and within His death we are saved. We don’t stop at the manger but rather carry on to the cross and beyond. Who can be clean that is born of a woman? None unless they be born again of Christ.

  17. In this chapter, you see that in vs. 4. It was stated how can man born from woman be justified. Theres only one way, and through our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the only Way…

    “Be Church”…iwork…igive…ipray…ireap…

  18. Job 25: 4 How then can man be justified with God? Or how can he be clean that is born of a woman. This scrpitures shows us that we should never think that we are to holy or too righteous as job said every man day is few and full of trouble.

  19. 2 Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places.

Psalm 145:13 Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.

  20. 2 Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places.
Fear God he’s in control of everything, he rules the heavens. Those who don’t fear God, are up for a rude awakening. Lord use me to do your will.

  21. 4 How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?

We are justified through the wonderful bool of Jesus. It is up to us, the church, to get the word out to the hurting and lost people of this region so that they too can to come to the wonderful knowledge of Christ and walk in his ways too, and be baptized, forgiven, and filled with the Holy Ghost…

  22. Greatness

6 How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?

Bildad has a dangerous attitude of acceptance. He seems so quick to accept man’s fallen state as his eternal state, that there is no hope for anything better. It is true that without Jesus, we would be lost for eternity, but there is more to the story than that.

    Let me pull from history:

After much toil and trial and error, on December 17, 1903, the Wright brothers experience firsthand a great turning point in aviation and world history with the first controlled, powered and sustained heavier-than-air manned flight of the world’s first successful airplane. It marked the beginning of an era when mankind, created with his feet on the ground, found his wings in the sky in a way that even the Wright brothers at one point doubted they would see in their lifetime.

By the age of thirty, Alexander the Great had created one of the largest empires of the ancient world, stretching from the Ionian Sea to the Himalayas. He was undefeated in battle, despite typically being outnumbered, and is considered one of history’s most successful commanders. He died while still casting his vision towards more land to conquer, and though he held a great record of victory, those in command after his death deemed his plans to be too ambitious and unrealistic to pursue.

With beginnings as a nurse and later an English instructor, Amelia Earhart’s life was changed when she stumbled upon aviation, a change that would later change the world. In 1932, she crossed the Atlantic Ocean solo and set a new record for time (earning her an award from President Hoover) and a few years later should would become to first woman to successfully fly from Hawaii to California. In 1937, she began her fateful trip to fly around the world, famously vanishing mysteriously partway through the flight.

These are just a few examples of what mankind knows as greatness. It shows a common thread: great ambition. Not everyone actualizes it, but there seems deeply rooted in the heart of man a yearning for greatness, even the sense of a right to it. But where did it come from? Is it all just pride?

That inner hunger for greatness may be polluted by pride in our fallen state but I believe the Bible reveals it began with God. We were not created to be sinful, we were created to be sinless in everlasting communion with God Himself. We were created to have relationship with the Almighty, and by choice at that, something not granted to even the angels. We were given dominion over the earth and were told to subdue it. God created us for greatness, not the wretched ugliness and brokenness of fallen humanity. He loved us so much that He gave the only flesh He had so that we might have the choice to return to Him.

We were not born for death and smallness, we were born for Jesus and greatness. Before he fell, Lucifer was the anointed cherub, given a position and beautifully adorned, all for the sake of leading in that heavenly praise and worship to bring God glory. He was made great for God’s glory, but his pride brought him low because his heart shifted towards ambition for being great for himself, not God. Likewise, we must have the proper attitude and not be mixed up in carnal ambition but do all to the glory of God.

But it still displays the principle, God is glorified in greatness. When He created an angel for the purpose of glorifying Him and leading a third of the angels in doing likewise, He made him great. Jesus made us not just for praise and worship, but relationship by choice. Why would we not want to be everything He desires for us to be so we can reflect the greatest amount of glory back to Him? Who are we to say “I’m nothing, just someone small, just some dot on the map…” when Jesus robed Himself in flesh and suffered death on the cross for the sake of saving each one of us individually? Who are we to say the love of God made a mistake in coming to us by trying to minimize what God called worthy of the greatest sacrifice that could ever be made?

Our worth is not in us, it is in His love for us.

Too many are left on the sidelines, only watching others pursuing the sense of greatness that they too desire at the core of their being. We are taught greatness is highly prized but only achieved by few. We try to mark its accomplishment with various measures or rules (you will be great when you have done *this,* earn *that* much money, work at *this* job, drive *that* car, etc) and so narrow greatness down to an elite group of people. If we reach it, we have the pride of touting the title of great; if we miss the mark (as many do), we carry the shame of not-greatness.

Yet the reality in Christ is that we are *all* made for greatness. We were made to love God, which requires allowing Him to love us first. We were made to desire His love, and it is that love that will bring that sense of security, humble authority/rulership, and greatness that nothing else can or ever will. Yes, we are born into sin and the essence of humility is having an accurate view of ourselves, but we must also look by faith through God’s eyes at what He desires for us. When we are “yet in sin” we are still so very loved that He offers His sacrifice for us. When we are born again, we are His children and He holds His arms open for us if we stray as the prodigal son.

The point is that the love of God remains, no matter what state we are in, and that is the essence of the greatness we were made for: greatness based on the love of God for us, greatness not based on what we deserve or could ever earn.

I said all that to get back to the message of Bildad. He seems to have the attitude common to so much of mankind (and sadly even among many Christians) that says “I’m messed up, and I’m willing to admit I’m messed up, and now I’m going to die in my mess because I have no hope for anything better.” Bildad seems to have simply accepted the fallen state of humanity and tried to call it humility all the while denying the ultimate plan of God for us. False humility will kill us; shame is really a form of pride in disguise, it says “I’m a miserable retch, and God I know better than You how bad I am so quit trying to tell me You love me regardless of my actions, I don’t believe You when You say my worth is based on Your love and not my actions.”

It is harsh but true. It can cause us to forfeit our salvation and the greatness God desires for us. It says “I can never be great; I don’t deserve to be great; I’m a lost cause; I’m worthless” when all the while God is saying “I made you to be great; I offer My blood to atone for your sin and My robe of righteousness to cover you; today is the day of salvation, I still have hope for you; I love you.”

His mercies are new every morning and so is His call to greatness; we must choose each day to die to self and awaken to greatness in Him. We can choose to accept our natural birth and the destiny of death that sin brings, or we can choose to receive God’s love and His sacrifice for us so we can apply the new birth and enter into the abundant, everlasting life with Him He made us for.

2 Corinthians 6:1-2 NLT “As God’s partners, we beg you not to accept this marvelous gift of God’s kindness and then ignore it. 2 For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation.”

Jeremiah 31:3 “The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. ”

1 John 4:16-19 “16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

19 We love him, because he first loved us.”

  23. How then can man be justified with God?
or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?

Here Bildad describes the greatness of God and how man with all his ways cannot compare to God

The beauty of God is great, far above and beyond.  He is three times holy.  How can we approach a great and mighty holy God.  The Word speaks of how no men can see God and live.  Imagine the greatness of our God, and yet in that greatness He seeks to have a personal relationship with His creation.  I thank God for the blood that washes me clean, and that He came in flesh to be my savior and redeemer that u may be justified , that I may enjoy a relationship with Him.

  24. HALELUJAH!!! I am justified by the blood of JESUS!!! The world (the lost) will always be curious about the plans that GOD has towards us (which are ALWAYS to give us an expected end!!!) They (the world) cannot comprehend the things of the Spirit.
1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
HALELUJAH!!! ……. But if we the Church would continue to live a sanctified life, let our light shine and PREACH the WORD of GOD (always striving to please GOD….. therefore giving GREAT fruit) then the world would be so curious that they would draw near to the LIGHT, not knowing that they finally could have the peace that surpasses alllllll understanding!!! WHICH IS JESUS!!!!
