Psalm 19

1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,

Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.

His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.

The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

12 Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.

13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.

14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

  1. 14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

I want to live everyday to speak those things that edify and lift up, to bring hope and comfort, not tear down, wound and dismember the body of Christ or anyone with sharp words . I especially do not want to grieve the Lord with careless words.

Jesus Hold me accountable. I want people to know your love when they hear me speak.

  2. 7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

I used to think I had it all figured out. Headstrong and full of my own desires. My God has converted me to his kingdom and shared with me his ways.
His ways turn secrets of truth into reality. He makes the impossible possible. He turns the bad into good. He makes the seed tree. By his word he has turned me from a child to a man. Thank you Jesus for your wisdom that passes my understanding, and letting me in to your presence to learn more today.

    “Everyone Knows, But Few Acknowledge”

According to the Word, “1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.”

    WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

Every person on earth, despite their language or culture have an opportunity to see the Glory of God. Every day God is speaking to all people… But who listens?

On the day of judgement who can escape?

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: (Romans 1:20 KJV)

  4. Psalm 19:13-14 NIV

    Keep your servant also from willful sins;
may they not rule over me.
    Then I will be blameless,
innocent of great transgression. May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart
    be pleasing in your sight,
Lord , my Rock and my Redeemer. Yes Lord!

  5. 14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

I think that most of us guard our mouth as commanded, pretty well, but we can not forget to guard what we meditate on, as well. Just because you didn’t speak or act upon your thoughts does not make you innocent in the eyes of the Lord. Our mind should be purified, as well. Touch the coal yo my lips and my mind.

  6. FREEDOM FROM “I AM SORRY”

Some people are infected with a disease with various names, “foot in mouth”, “loose lips”, “big mouth”, “acid tongue”, and so on, you get the picture.

I have suffered numerous times from this infection, in fact it daily attempts to infect me. However I have found an antidote to and for this that if applied daily will undoubtedly provide protection from the harmful side effects of this infection. Which include; offended friends, family and acquaintances, hurt feelings. confrontation, judgement, accusations and so on. The antidote is found in Psalm Chapter 19:

14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

If I will get my thoughts approved by GOD before I become too connected to them and my words accepted by GOD before I become accountable for them speaking them, I will always find myself successfully avoiding this infection. The key to VICTORY is think (pray) before you speak and remember.

Proverbs 15:1 A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.

Practicing this preventative thought and speech process through prayer will definitely assist us in FREEDOM FROM “I AM SORRY”

Lord JESUS, help me today to accomplish this. In JESUS name.

  7. MSG – There’s more: God’s Word warns us of danger
and directs us to hidden treasure.
Otherwise how will we find our way?
Or know when we play the fool?
Clean the slate, God, so we can start the day fresh!
    Keep me from stupid sins,
    from thinking I can take over your work;
Then I can start this day sun-washed,
scrubbed clean of the grime of sin.
    These are the words in my mouth;
these are what I chew on and pray.
Accept them when I place them
    on the morning altar,

Everything we have need of or question of we can find in His word. We just must be willing to search it out and discover it. It will lead, guide, protect, and direct. His word is powerful, pure and strong.

Lord, help us to eat your book daily!

  8. Living in God will always be better than living in the world. God gives me life sweet and full of Joy life. Life everlasting. Let my mouth always be praising His Name.

14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

  9. This chapter illustrates splendor. David describes how glorious and mighty God is and then he humbles himself. One need only observe God’s work to witness his splendor; however one must also remember to be as humble as David. May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  10. v1 The heavens declare the glory of GOD; and the firmament sheweth his handiwork.

This makes me to think just as GOD spoke natural light to existence at creation.
” the moon, stars, the sun” HE can bring spiritual light into our lives. HE IS THE LIGHT! And THE WORD.
HIS PERFECT WORD is a light unto our feet that reveals ALL the evil and sins in our lives
but thank GOD FOR HIS BLOOD that washes them all away.

We are GOD’S wonderful creation also and HE desires hungers for our fellowship, and in doing so we can have a continual cleansing of hearts and mind.
As we reflect HIS LIGHT we represent HIM while reaching others.

    iPray
    iSpeak GOD’S Word
iReflect THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD
    iReap others to JESUS.
    NOW!

  11. 14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

  12. 14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

Often I think about what He feels about what I am saying, or what I am thinking. Through His grace I have been able to adapt my language so that it is not near so rough as it used to be, and my thoughts have gone from those of dwelling on negative things, to trying my heart, to make sure my intent and motives are pure.

  13. 1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
The heavens or the universe shows the granduer of God. He is almighty sweeter than the honey on the honeycomb great and mighty. I am greatful to serve such a mighty God!!

  14. 9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

    Fear The Lord.–reverence

  15. All one has to do is look around and see the glory of God in all that he has created. He is so awesome that he can see and know every little thing we think and do and through the blood of Jesus he also cleanses us of all our sin.

  16. 9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

Some fear the judgment of God. The psalmist here says they are desired more than the most expensive precious metal, and the sweetest food.

    Why?

Because judgement in eternity means it is too late to change anything you want to change.

The judgments of God here are wonderful because it gives us a chance to repent, and get it right!

Once of my favorite scriptures is in 2 Peter 3:9.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us- ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

The grace, mercy, and love of God is revealed through him granting opportunity for us to get it right. It shows not that he wants to punish us, but that he wants us to be with him forever!

    Proverbs 3:11-12
    My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord;
neither be weary of his correction:
    12 For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth;
even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

    Lord send your judgments!

  17. 1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Our God is great!! There is none besides him. The only wise God!

We know him and clearly can see that he is God through creation.

  18. I love David’s structure for this chapter. A wonderful sequence for a prayer.

1st: Depicting God’s glory in His creation ..which is everywhere.

2nd: Every Word from God is perfect and needs to be perfectly followed; laws, statutes, precepts, commands, commandments, fear, ordinances and by them we are warned, and by keeping them there is great reward.

3rd Repentance..even when we don’t understand what we’ve done wrong, sounds like Lk 23:34 “Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” and keep me from willful sins (vs13) (which reminds me of: Mat 26:41 “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak) ..that they may not rule over us (vs13) 42Jesus told them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, because I have come to you from God. I am not here on my own, but he sent me. 43Why can’t you understand what I am saying? It’s because you can’t even hear me! 44For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies. 45So when I tell the truth, you just naturally don’t believe me! 46Which of you can truthfully accuse me of sin? And since I am telling you the truth, why don’t you believe me? 47Anyone who belongs to God listens gladly to the words of God. But you don’t listen because you don’t belong to God.”

4th I desire to please you God. Thank you, I Love you, I Trust you will work for the good of those you love, with favor. I claim and declare the victory you have already promised, in the confidence which stems from the joy of your loving care.

  19. In this scripture, you can see the power of God’s law and also your testimony is important enough to make wise the simple. So, go ahead and share Jesus. “Give that testimony”. So, who could understand his errors! Wow, how true that is and the only way we will learn this is by the Word of God, and his Spirit. “The Holy Ghost”. I just pray the Holy Spirit won’t give up on me!

Talk about being a clay pot…it’s OK Moses was a basket case too. So theres hope for this crack pot.

  20. Grace & Trust

1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,

Just as there are language-less signs without, there are language-less secrets within, bound together by the commonality of mankind and not divided by unique cultural or racial groups. Even after centuries of gazing up at the likewise “common” sky, combined now with advanced technology, man still has yet to scratch the surface of all there is to know of space. We have made great progress yet still stand in awe of the mysteries we see and the things we realize we don’t understand. If even our most esteemed scientists can’t make heads or tales of so much that is *observed*, how can man think to know his own heart?

Our most powerful cameras and telescopes can still only reach so far into space, surely we are at a loss for properly searching the heart. Theologians, philosophers, poets, and many other thinkers have attempted through your history to capture the heart, yet the only one who holds the complete picture is its Maker.

It is an act of worship to surrender our heart to God, and certainly something much needed. Yet more, it is an act of great trust to give permission for the Lord to search our heart, knowing there are wicked things to be found. That’s the beauty of grace, finding us in the frailty of humanity and working in us divine beauty so that not simply our souls but our lives altogether can partake of His redemption.

    Philippians 2:12-13
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

We can say with confidence and a clear conscience that we have lived with a God-given holiness and sincerity in all our dealings. We have depended on God’s grace, not on our own human wisdom. That is how we have conducted ourselves before the world, and especially toward you. (2 Corinthians 1:12 NLT)

    2 Thessalonians 1:11-12
11 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: 12 That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

    Ephesians 3:7-8, 16-21
    7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. 8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. 20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

It is grace that operates by the working of His power that allows us to walk in His ways. The more we surrender to Him, the more He can work in us and through us. Living for God and being used of God through grace is a result of relationship; the more of our heart He gets, the more of Him we can experience.

    Psalms 34:8
O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

    2 Peter 1:2-11
2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises:that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. 10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure:for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: 11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

  21. Sweeter than a honeycomb

    Psalm 19:9-10 NLT

Reverence for the LORD is pure,
    lasting forever.
    The laws of the LORD are true;
each one is fair. They are more desirable than gold,
    even the finest gold.
    They are sweeter than honey,
even honey dripping from the comb.

    Eat this Book!

    Jeremiah 15:16 KJV

Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.

  22. 19:10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Sweeter than honey. By contrast ,those who abandoned the law turn justice into bitterness.

  23. Verses 6-9 MSG read “That’s how God’s Word vaults across the skies from sunrise to sunset, Melting ice, scorching deserts, warming hearts to faith. The revelation of God is whole and pulls our lives together. The signposts of God are clear and point out the right road. The life-maps of God are right, showing the way to joy. The directions of God are plain and easy on the eyes. God’s reputation is twenty-four-carat gold, with a lifetime guarantee. The decisions of God are accurate down to the nth degree.” God will direct us if we are willing to follow.

  24. Psalm 19

Let the words of my mouth,
and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight,
O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

Glorious, and what an Awesome Wonder our God is!   The whole earth is filled with His glory.  Through all the earth the praises of the Lord are heard. His handy work glorifies Him. His ways are perfect. His law is perfect.   Keeping the Lord’s commandments give great rewards this can pretty much be a praise song that describes the greatness of God. A most righteous, perfect, holy God.  How can we approach a most Holy God?   He knows the intentions of our heart.  Out of the abundance of the heart we speak.  Let’s fill our heart with praise unto His Holy name and let us approach with gladness.
