Psalm 20

1 The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;

Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;

Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.

Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.

We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: theLord fulfil all thy petitions.

Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.

Save, Lord: let the king hear us when we call.

  1. v7-8 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses : but we will remember the name of the LORD our GOD.
They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.

With JESUS on our side we keep our stand.
As it as been said before the Apostle Paul
used the phrase” so box I”

1 Cornthains 9:26. I therefore so run , not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:”

    ” You Can’t Keep A Good Man”

    iPray
    iTrust
    iPraise
    i’m still standing

  2. v6 Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strengh of his right hand.

Our sacrifice is never wasted when we lay it at JESUS’S feet. You never wasted a minute you spend in the house of GOD every prayer, outreach, choir practice every dollar you gave to the work of GOD.

2 Corintians 1:11 Ye also helping by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.

GOD keeps record of every sacrifice we offer HIM.
We can say,” NOW know I that the LORD saveth his anointed.”
There’s an assurance that comes when we posses ultimate faith and confidence in GOD
    we will experience the VICTORY!

    iPray
    iPraise
    iTrust
    iReap The VICTORY! NOW!!!

  3. 7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.
8 They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.

Some people trust in the world , and all that is in it. But as it has been said, we are not of this world, we are just passin through. Stand on what the Word of God says for it is truth and Holy, and we must realize the power that we have. When the world brings down one of its own, the only thing left standing is that of God. If God be for us, than who can be against us? NO ONE!

  4. WE NEED THE CHURCH

    2 Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;
3 Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.
4 Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.
5 We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the Lord fulfil all thy petitions.

Help, salvation and strength comes from the Church, it is so frequent that the Church is criticized for it’s convictions and commitments to righteousness. We find here the church; the sanctuary, Zion is the place where offerings are given, salvation is granted and prayers are answered.

WE NEED THE CHURCH more NOW than ever before in time.

NOW is the time to CONNECT yourself to a BODY of believers and enjoy access to the most powerful, faithful organism ever to be offered to humanity.

  5. In a big storm, we need more help than friends can give us—-or money can buy —or great personal resources can provide. We need help from the Lord.
“Some trust in chariots and somr in horses,”, says Psalm 20:7, “but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.” He is bigger than any storm we will ever face.

  6. No matter the situation, no matter the circumstances, no matter the problem remember put your trust IN JESUS He will stand us upright and we will rise in VICTORY with HIM.

6 Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

8 They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.

9 Save, Lord: let the king hear us when we call.

  7. The blessing from the crushing

6 Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

God stands at the balcony of heaven looking on his children. With quicker than lightning reflexes, at his will he will save, and protect with the strength of his right hand!

    Who?

His anointed. Those who have allowed God to press them, crush them, and refine them in fire.

This promise of saving strength cannot be expected without the process of the crushing!

  8. This chapter illustrates trust. David expresses on whom, what and why he will trust, which is Jesus. One is wise to put ones trust in God, for all else will fail. May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  9. Psalm 34:15
The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

The Lord is ready, willing and able to attend unto our cry, it that is His will. Those that trust in Him, will find Him to be their delivered. Where we get into trouble is when we trust in other things and place our ways above His ways.

  10. 6 Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

The saving strength of his right hand.

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. (Colossians 3:1 KJV)

All power in heaven rest in the right hand of God.

  11. 7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we
will remember the name of the Lord our God.

In the time of trouble i will call on the name of Jesus for He is my savior.

  12. 6 Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

I will trust in The Lord.

  13. 7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

What do you trust in? Pastor was talking to us about our giving. What you give to is what you trust. Do you trust the bank more than God? Do you trust your job more than Our Provider? Some may trust in horses and some may trust in chariots, but I will trust in Jesus!

  14. ILove to eat supper with Jesus
    1 The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;

    2 Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;

The Lord always hears from his sanctuary

  15. Psalm 20:5 KJV

We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the Lord fulfil all thy petitions.

I like the faith that is felt in this verse. “We will rejoice” and “We will set up” that is diving deep into speaking in faith. Rejoice with them that rejoice (Rom 12:15). I like Message version

    Psalm 20:5 MSG

When you win, we plan to raise the roof and lead the parade with our banners. May all your wishes come true!

  16. 5 We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: theLord fulfil all thy petitions.

I will rejoice in the salvation that has been granted to not only me but also to so many others around me. Praise God I get to be a part of the PoFW and get to see the wonderful miracle of someone getting all their sins washed away, and getting to see people filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost, evidenced by speaking in other tongues.

  17. That Name

7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

    Proverbs 18:10
10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

For [the proclaiming of] this [Gospel] I was appointed a herald (preacher) and an apostle (special messenger) and a teacher of the Gentiles. And this is why I am suffering as I do. Still I am not ashamed, for I know (perceive, have knowledge of, and am acquainted with) Him Whom I have believed (adhered to and trusted in and relied on), and I am [positively] persuaded that He is able to guard and keep that which has been entrusted to me and which I have committed [to Him] until that day. (2 Timothy 1:11, 12 AMP)

    Daniel 11:32
32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

    Do we know the Name?

    Acts 4:10-12
10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other:for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

    Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

When we *know* the Name, it changes us and how we see the world. There are many things to trust in but the name of Jesus is true.

    iTrust

  18. Verses 7-9 NIV read “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm. Lord, give victory to the king! Answer us when we call!”

Proverbs 3:5-10 MSG says “Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. Don’t assume that you know it all. Run to God! Run from evil! Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life! Honor God with everything you own; give him the first and the best. Your barns will burst, your wine vats will brim over.”

  19. Trust God

David leads and engages in many military battels in his lifetime, but he is equally well acquainted with the moral battles common to us all. In any altercation with an enemy, be it physically or spiritual, David’s confidence is not in himself or his resources, but in the power and authority of the Lord. When he is a mere boy, facing the giant Goliath, he proclaims that “the battle is the Lord’s” (1Sa 17:47). He knows he is no match for the Philistine; he doesn’t boast in his own strength or cool gadget weaponry. Instead he has absolute confidencein his victorious God. In that early face-off and during the battles against and with Saul, and future battles as king, David recalls his conviction that only God’s strength and power can be fully trusted. When we encounter spiritual battles in our own lives, we can use David’s battle approach with proclamations of faith to remind ourselves who rules the battleground “Jesus”. Satan may launch all his dark resources against us, but God will have the victory…for He Himsef declares it in His Word. We Win ..Depend on it!

  20. Psalm 20

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses:
but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

The worldly put their trust in the things of the world,  logic, the things they see and science explains, but the righteous put their trust in the Almighty God.  The Power that breaks all levels of understanding, a hope in a God that saves, where sickness disappear and demons flew at the mention if the name Jesus. Jesus in whom we put our trust in.

  21. 6 Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

I have been kept too many times to try to list, but just because God will save His anointed, does not give His church the right to run around acting like a bunch of unholy people, because God did destroy the Israealites in the desert that doubted when He told them to enter the promised land. So why would we be any different?
