Psalm 21

1 The king shall joy in thy strength, O Lord; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!

Thou hast given him his heart’s desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.

For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.

He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever.

His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.

For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.

For the king trusteth in the Lord, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.

Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.

Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the Lord shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.

10 Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.

11 For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.

12 Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.

13 Be thou exalted, Lord, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.

  1. v 13 Be thou exalted, LORD in thine own strength : so will we sing and praise thy power.

One should come into the house of the LORD with excitement and joy.
Come dancing and singing on our way to worship HIM. Rejoicing because of ALL HIS GOODNESS.

I was glad when they said unto me Let us go into the house of the LORD. Ps.122:1

    iPray
    iPraise
    iSing

    iRejoice in all GOD’S GOODNESS

  2. v6 For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance .

Look at GOD!!!! The Psalmist was most blessed for ever and made him exceeding glad with his countenance.

First the Psalmist had put his faith in GOD.
Second the Psalmist Praised and Worshiped
    GOD.
As GOD’S church the POFW will continue to succeed as it continues to worship and praise GOD. In doing so it puts us in position to access GOD’S blessing and benefit from HIS GLORY in our lives.
Talk about having GOD’S favor. .Now to reach the lost.

Praising GOD, and having favour with all the people. And the LORD added to the church daily such as should be saved.

    iPray
    iTrust
    iWorship and Praise
    iReap HIS FAVOR.

2 Thou hast given him his heart’s desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.

The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath. (Proverbs 11:23 KJV)

Delight thyself also in the Lord ; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. (Psalms 37:4 KJV)

And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. (1 John 5:15 KJV)

  4. Have you ever gone to the store and people begin to look upon you with curiosity then you see them whisper… some will even point like we are from another planet… It used to upset me but then I realize that there is something we have that set us apart, different from them, and they notice. It is not the way we dress or our long hair although that does makes us different, but it goes further than that they notice and see His presence in our lives. You know how I know that because perfect strangers will ask me to pray for them, for their situations, to put them on our prayer list. How do they know we got a prayer list??? Because they know… They observe us daily, watch for our daily reactions to the happenings of this world. Co-workers will ask questions like where is your God when this crazy guy walks in a school and kills those babies. I find myself answering with words that I myself say “where did that come from?” ; but they leave with a word of thanks saying “no one ever explained it that way thanks”… I say all this to let you know that we MUST put our trust in GOD always. That our enemies might be watching but our GOD will set them straight that among those that wish us harm are also those that are curious and it is that curiosity that will bring them to Christ. That desire to have this JOY, a JOY that can’t be corrupted by the evil of this world. Help your fellow brother and sister and I don’t mean the ones from church for those are easy to love and help. I mean the poor, the lonely, the addict, the widow, the fatherless, those that need that Joy. Proverbs 31:9 Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.

Next time you see someone looking at you with curiosity, smile, offer a helping hand, they might just open themselves to you and learn to trust.

  5. 3 For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.

Whenever I first came to Jesus I found myself saying that it was a sacrifice to not go do the things I used to do and come to church in their place. Although at that point on my life
It was a sacrifice because I was sacrificing my flesh to grow closer to him. The real truth about how great he is took a while to come out. Now I find myself as in this scripture, he prevents me with goodness. Prevent seems to be a harsh word , like someone is withholding something from you. They are if they are preventing you from doing something.
But my God is preventing me from Hell. He’s preventing me from an eternity of damnation. He has prevented me with goodness. I saw my Mother this year get baptized and receive the Holy Ghost. My friends Aarron and Amy Butler, my friend Joshua Wolfe, my friend James Moss, my wife, my children all have come to God fallowing me. I say that that kind of prevention is the greatest gift I’ve ever had. Thank God for preventing me in his goodness.

  6. 11 For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.
12 Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.

Many people have had evil intended against them. Mnay men and women of God face great opposition daily. The only reason these that are attacked can stay mighty men and women, is because they know that they are not fighting against flesh and blood, but against princes of palities, and wicked spirits in high places.

Many times the enemy wants to get our focus on the people, when the battle is not with them. The word tells us that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, so none of their imagined schemes will work to cause to take us out, as long as we continue to “run the race”. Vengance is God’s, and if we allow God to be God, He will repay us, for He is a righteous and Holy God.

  7. POWER DISPLAYED THROUGH PRAISE

13 Be thou exalted, Lord, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.

When I think about the the strenth of the LORD, I think about the Red Sea being parted and dried, I think about a pebble from an young man’s sling that kills a giant, I think about the earth opening to swallow a group of contenious, rebellious people, I think about numerous adversaries being leveled and I think about an that has deteriorated and scattered being reassembled and armed with life.

In my mind there is nothing stronger than the strength of the LORD.

This thought and fact alone empower me to EXALT the LORD JESUS through singing, praying and giving.

    This is how we praise!

Joel 3:10 Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.

2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.

Praise to the world may appear to be a sign of weakness and dependance on something we cannot see. FAITH

When we understand that the of our strength is the beginning of HIS strength and that HIS strength is activated through our praise. We refuse to accept defeat, because we KNOW in JESUS.

    POWER DISPLAYED THROUGH PRAISE

Sing aloud today, praise fervently today!

  8. Because David trusted in God, God would not let him be shaken. When we trust in God, we have stability. We may loose a great deal – families, jobs, material possessions, etc – but we cannot be shaken from God’s favor. He will be our foundation of solid rock. He will never leave or desert us.

  9. MSG 13 Show your strength, God, so no one can miss it.
We are out singing the good news!

When God shows up in a situation and bears His mighty arm, no one can deny that God has been there. We must learn to allow Him to flight our battles, and not take matters into our own hands. Sometimes God is waiting on us to get out of the way so He can work.

  10. I LOVE TO PRAISE JESUS AT WORK AND IN THE CAR AND AT HOME. I THANK GOD EVERYDAY FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE FOR ME. IM COMING BACK FOR MY PROMISE. PRAISE U JESUS! AMEN

  11. Vs 5 We glory through our salvation in the Holy Ghost. Also, the miracle God has provided in our salvation declares in glory in our lives as do the heavens.

  12. This chapter illustrates gratefulness. Thanksgiving to God from a sincere heart is illustrated. One should be grateful for all God has done, for God can surely do more than one could ever ask for and will if one is obedient to his Word. May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  13. Verse 13 CEV reads “Show your strength, Lord, so that we may sing and praise your power.”

Psalm 59:16 says “But I will sing about your strength, my God, and I will celebrate because of your love. You are my fortress, my place of protection in times of trouble.” Sing unto the Lord!

  14. The King chooses to work with The Lord, or against him. God has the King’s heart in his hand and can turn it withersoever he wants.

Pray the President, or King if you will, of this country will follow after God and benefit from his benefits.

  15. 7 For the king trusteth in the Lord, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.

The Lord is my strength and shelter. No matter what 2013 may bring to us God will not allow us to be moved if we trust in him.

  16. This chapter reveals once again the mighty power of God. He destroys all his enemies but saves all those who serve him. This chapter reminds me of the omnipotent power of God, I am thankful I have a relationship with him.

  17. My prayer is that we would be able to say this about our nation and its president.

7 For the king trusteth in the Lord, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.

God, lead and guide our country in the way that it should go. Let our leaders listen to your voice and obey your commands. Amen!

  18. HALELUJAH!!! YOURS IS THE VENGEANCE LORD. This Chapter reminds me that Even if I wanted to take vengeance it would be as nothing compared to yours. Gracias PADRE PRECIOSO. I love you and I thank you for your great mercy.

  19. This is Angel, its my first blog 🙂 ….. God gives us the strength to do those things which he has called us to do. He is our strength and as long as we are doing his will and obeying his word he will protect us and provide for us. If only the whole country would have this mindset he would provide for us and destroy our enemies and those who do not obey God. God bless America and I just pray that our country find its way to Christ, to the church. There is nothing too hard for God, I have faith he can save this country… If only enough people prayed for it.

  20. 4 He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever:

thank you LORD for giving me life
    SUZY TIJERINA :))))))

  21. Glory

1 The king shall joy in thy strength, O Lord; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!

13 Be thou exalted, Lord, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.

    2 Corinthians 12:9-10
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee:for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake:for when I am weak, then am I strong.

It’s human nature to try to hide weakness but God says “let Me have it, I’ll redeem it.” It reminds me of an illustration I once heard of someone who likened how Christ was working in their life to light pouring out of a cracked vase. Truly it is in our infirmities that the power of God shines the brightest. The more we give ourselves to Him, the more He can be glorified by His light filling us and shining out from our lives. We ask for more of Him and He in turn asks for more of us.

    John 3:30
He must increase, but I must decrease.

Places where we would receive the least glory are opportunities for Him to receive the most glory.

    NOW…

    iSurrender
    iDecrease
    iPraise
    iRejoice

  22. Psalm 21:13 NLT

Rise up, O LORD, in all your power.
With music and singing we celebrate your mighty acts.

Celebrate His Power. Praise Him. What a great way to start 2013!

    Psalm 150:6 MSG

Hallelujah! Praise God in his holy house of worship, praise him under the open skies; Praise him for his acts of power, praise him for his magnificent greatness; Praise with a blast on the trumpet, praise by strumming soft strings; Praise him with castanets and dance, praise him with banjo and flute; Praise him with cymbals and a big bass drum, praise him with fiddles and mandolin. Let every living, breathing creature praise God ! Hallelujah!

  23. 7 For the king trusteth in the Lord, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.

We must be unmoveable in these last days. God is looking for a church that has prepare to stick it out for the long haul. Be not deceived God is not mocked. If we will just do what the Word says and follow His will, all will be good.

  24. Psalm 21

Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth,
and their seed from among the children of men.
11 For they intended evil against thee:
they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.

This reminded me of Mordecai from the book of Esther.  Mordecai was a righteous man that feared the Lord and  Haman wanted to kill all the Jews especially Mordecai because he did not bow down to him.  He plotted a great scheme to kill the Jews and had something specially built to hang Mordecai.  The Lord, however, stepped in and saved His people by giving then grace and favor using Esther to talk to the king.  Haman was hanged in what he had built to hang Mordecai.  The Lord saves His anointed.

    No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper;
and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. Isaiah 54:17

  25. I here an echo of Hosea 7 13“What sorrow awaits those who have deserted me!Let them die, for they have rebelled against me.
I wanted to redeem them, but they have told lies about me.
14They do not cry out to me with sincere hearts.
Instead, they sit on their couches and wail.
They cut themselves,d begging foreign gods for grain and new wine,
and they turn away from me.
15I trained them and made them strong,
yet now they plot evil against me.
16They look everywhere except to the Most High.
They are as useless as a crooked bow.
Their leaders will be killed by their enemies
because of their insolence toward me.”

For at the time of His appearing or Day of Judgment, He will punish those who have strayed away from Him for the enemy will not succeed. One Sweet Day when the Lord calls us home we will continue to exault Him in His strength; we will sing and praise your might! vs13
