Psalm Chapter 34

30 Days of Prayer – Day 13

Pray  for a revelation of the name of Jesus and who He really is to manifest to this world, and that many will be converted unto the Lord. “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

Psalm 34

1 I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.

I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.

11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

12 What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?

13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

15 The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

16 The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

17 The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

18 The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

20 He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.

21 Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.

22 The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

  1. v1 I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth .

As we focus on GOD to the point that we live in a continuous attitude of worship and praising HIM from a repentant heart that is pure and honest, then our daily stresses and worries will not overwhelm our hearts, souls and minds.

    iPray
    iRepent
i Will Bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
    NOW!

  2. v17 The righteous cry, and the LORD hearth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

When we encounter difficult days and circumstances that are troubling, we cry out to the LORD . HE has promised peace and joy. The Spirit helps our infirmity and we can triumph over any trail, trouble, or opposition.

HE IS the source of strength and comfort and GOD will direct us through them if we trust and acknowledge HIM.

    iPray
    iTrust
    iWill Triumph through JESUS!
    NOW!

  3. 😯 taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the
    man that trusteth in him.

Try Jesus and you will see how Good He is!

    • 1 Iwill bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.

David was saying I will bless the Lord at all times, then he looked at the congregation and said “do i have a witness? Oh magnify the Lord with me.”

  4. 13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

Prov 13:2 A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth: but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence.

The best way to keep your tongue out of trouble is “1 I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.” This leaves no room for mistakes, gossip, false witness, etc. If there is a Praise in your mouth constantly there is no room for negative report only for Blessings from above.

  5. 9 O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.

11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

The fear of The Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Lord help me to walk in the paths of righteousness that you will take care of me because I reverence and fear you with a Godly fear that I shall not want.

  6. 1 I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. 3 O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.
I have a song in my heart and a praise on my lips at all times! Oh bless The Lord with me!

13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. 14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
Guard your words. Prayerfully consider the things that come from your lips. This is easier in church than outside of church, but it is to be done everywhere! Lord help us all to prayerfully consider what we say.

18 The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
While this verse should comfort us it was not intended for us to stay in a state of having a broken heart. We were sent to seek the lost and guide them to Christ. How do we do that if we always need comfort. I understand pain. I understand brokenness. I also understand that God wants us to tell the gospel and how can we tell of the good news when we have a broken heart?

  7. 11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
12 What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?
13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

David teaches here what the fear of the Lord is, and how to have it. I pray that this generation of people will hear what the scriptures say. Life and death are in the power of the tongue. we must be careful in all that we say and hear.

  8. I WILL BLESS THE LORD NOW

1 I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

This verse has been a source of revival, inspiration, encouragement, accountability, correction, understanding, hope, help, peace and joy over the past 20 years for me.

Shortly after the LORD called me to Ministry, I was preparing a sermon on Praise and the LORD spoke to me trough this verse; as a theme verse for my life. If I “will” have the desire, drive and determination to BLESS HIM in any and every circumstance, HE WILL keep, protect and cover me. GOD is FAITHFUL!

There have been a few seasons in my life that this verse has been a challenge for me. However, by the grace and help of GOD, he has always brought me right back to our encounter and provided me the strength to “will” BLESS the LORD at all times. GOOD, BAD, HARD, LONELY, BETRAYED, CONFUSED, all times.

I encourage you today to WIIL yourself to BLESS the LORD. Keep praises in your mouth and not complaints, keep positive thoughts, not negative thoughts of fear and doubt.

I WILL BLESS the LORD at all times is NOW.

    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  9. 7 The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

The angels of God are literally waiting, surrounding us, ready to save, deliver, and rescue us from the enemy. The word encampeth is the Hebrew word [2837] 1 חנה hana which means to set up camp. It is very similar to the word [2839] חנה hanna which means favor.

When we honor, fear, reverence, respect, and live in awe of our Holy God we have no need to cower at the wiles of the devil.

In II Kings 6 the Arameans surrounded Elisha and his servant. The servant cried out “They have us surrounded we will surely be defeated!” Elisha responded wisely, with faith in God when he told him “there are more that be with us than there are with them.”

Elisha prayed for God to open his eyes and he saw flaming chariots of fire, horses, and the armies of the angelic host ready for battle.

It was Elisha’s fear of God that gave him favor, and guaranteed him the victory.

No matter the trial, or situation, when it feels like the enemy has us surrounded there are more of us than their are of him.

    Psalms 118:6
The Lord is on my side; I will not fear:
what can man do unto me?

    Romans 8:31
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

  10. We win!
Praise goes before the victory. The Lord makes it known all over the Bible that if we just praise Him, He will give us the victory. I’d rather praise than fight any day. He turns enemy upon enemy. LET’S PRAISE HIM!
    –Jessie

14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
We must go after peace. The way to peace is God. He gives a peace that passes all understanding. It is peace of mind and peace in your heart and soul when the storm rages around you. We must not just seek it, but we must go after it with all that is within us. When we seek Him with our all we will be doing good, for God is good.
O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. (Psalms 34:8 KJV)

  11. 1 I will praise the Lord at all times. I will constantly speak his praises.
2 I will boast only in the Lord; let all who are helpless take heart.
3 Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness; let us exalt his name together. (NLT)

1 I bless God every chance I get; my lungs expand with his praise.
2 I live and breathe God; if things aren’t going well, hear this and be happy:
3 Join me in spreading the news; together lets get the word out. (MSG)

  12. 22 The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

    What a promise!!!

None of the souls of His servants whom trust in God will be desolate. There is hope for us all, we just have to trust and serve Him.
Many times I have seen people who served, but didn’t trust, and many times I have seen those who trust but don’t serve… The word says that faith without works is dead. And it also says it is impossible to pleas God without faith. If our works show our servant hood, and our faith is our trust…. Wow!

  13. In this scripture, there are many references to the conduct of our mouths. It is important to conduct ourselves as Christ Jesus did, and to grow in a closer walk with him. Although, there many times we make mistakes and even grieve him. But, at the most don’t quit nor turn and run from him. Keep the faith, for God works all things out for our good to those who love him. The worst thing that might happen, you might have to re-take the test given.

In vs. 8, a thought came to mind immediately, and that was Jesus Christ is the Bread of Life, and he is the Word made flesh. So, in this you can clearly taste and see, the Lord is good.

    “Read the Word”………”Taste”……..”Bread”……”Hmm Hmm Good”

1 I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

8 O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

    “Guard those lips”………….”Now”……………………

  14. This chapter illustrates victory. David explains how there is victory in all things with God. If one will praise, worship and do as the Word of God instructs, one can have victory as David did. May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  15. God always takes care of us so need to worry. This passage sounds to me like He has tremendosly amounts of love/care for us. I love you JESUS!@NOW. THANK U 4 SAVING ME.

  16. God always takes care of us so no need to worry. This passage sounds to me like He has tremendosly amounts of love/care for us. I love you JESUS!@NOW. THANK U 4 SAVING ME.

  17. 34-6
The key is when we call. David could have called on God while still in the homeland. Not after he went into the land of Israsels enemies

  18. I love to eat spiritual cheeseburgers for lunch

7 The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

This chapter of psalms is one of my favorites… Wish I had more time to elaborate on it.

Everyday quote over your house that there are angelic guards protecting your family.

  19. Vs.7, “The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.”

Isaiah 63:9 says, “In all their afflictions he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them; in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.”

So many times in my life, I have been so thankful for the angel of the LORD that has protected me and my family.

  20. 13 Guard your tongue from profanity,
and no more lying through your teeth.

14 Turn your back on sin; do something good.
Embrace peace—don’t let it get away!

I think these verses said it very well from the message bible. We are to guard our tongue and watch what we say. Turn away from sin and don’t go back. If it was a sin years ago it is still a sin today. Nowadays people wanna say well it was different back in the day, but the way I read the word is Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever.
Lord help me to light to the world. Thank you Jesus

  21. 1 I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

3 O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.

My mind is made up that in every situation and under every circumstances Im determined to serve the lord! The blessing of the lord will not just be in my heart but his praise shall continuely be in my heart!!

  22. Seeking God

18 The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

Proverb-of-the-day #13 gives a comparison between the fruits of righteous living vs wicked living. This Psalm seems to echo that message, speaking of God honoring those that honor Him, specifically with a broken heart and a contrite spirit.

    Matthew 5:4
4 Blessed are they that mourn:for they shall be comforted.

Having a heart sensitive to God and responsive to grieve over sin as He does is important in our walk with Him. It is hard to be consistent in a repentant lifestyle if we refuse to be led back to the right path when we stumble and wander off. David was a man after God’s own heart, not perfect but one who sought God, whether it meant in continued worship or in turning in repentance.

    Philippians 3:7-8
7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. 8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord:for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ

8 O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

    Romans 2:4
Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

When seeking the Lord is a lifestyle, we get to truly see how good He is; we become more sensitive to His ways and learn to see blessings where we might have been previously numb to them. Part of that is learning just how good He is when we mess up and make mistakes! Sensitivity to Him helps us “taste and see”; we realize our sin, feel the grief, but are embraced by His awesome love in repentance instead of remaining cold and distant to God and resisting the draw of His love for us to turn.

    Hosea 11:4
I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid meat unto them.

    Jeremiah 31:3
The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.

    Isaiah 55:6-7
6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

    NOW Seek
    NOW Commit
    NOW Repent
    NOW Love the Lord

  23. Psalm 34

I will bless the Lord at all times:
his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
My soul shall make her boast in the Lord:
the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
O magnify the Lord with me,
and let us exalt his name together.

David had a genuine, unique heart of Worship, perhaps this is why he was called a man after God’s own heart.  I  think of David and picture a passionate man that lived life to the fullness of extremes. He experienced most of everything.  With a harp on one hand and a slingshot on the other when he was a boy, and when he became a man with the sword on one hand and still the same harp on the other, not literally carrying it with him always but figuratively by the posture of his heart.  I imagine him in the times if trouble in the middle of a battle going off alone away from the company of the army up on a hill and he would take his harp out and sing unto the Lord.  He would pour his heart on a song.  A worship a praise, a declaration that YOU LORD are my hope and my salvation.  I don’t know what to do, I love so much to sing to you.  Your presence is my delight.  In your presence I feel loved, protection and I am lifted up.  I believe with out a doubt that David learned the key to victory.  Yes he was a man of war, he was courageous, mighty, but it was probably on those intimate times of praise where the Lord took over and fought for him, delivered him. Through the ups and downs he learned to say:
I will bless the Lord at all times:
his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

  24. Verses 2-3 MSG read “I live and breathe God; if things aren’t going well, hear this and be happy: Join me in spreading the news; together let’s get the word out.” If we are in unity, live and breathe God; we can spread this news to this city and get the word out.

  25. David is wanting to be put away so his son won’t kill him. How devastating to know that our own children are wanting to murder us just because it’s in their minds that are better that therir parents.

I can’t imagine how David felt, it was his was to escape from death pretty much.

David knew that God was able and is truly able to get him through the tough times so by faith he would begin to praise the Lord and honor him just like it should be for everyone one else.

Lord I fear you. May your, holy spirit rain on me .

  26. No Shame

5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

“Shame on you!” How many times have we had those sentiments aimed our way or said those belittling words to ourselves? Sometimes we behave badly and we need to make amends, but often the shame we feel is illegitamte and toxic. We want goodness from someone who and when ~ he/she lets us down, that shameful feeling creeps in. A mere human beingd will let you down. In a relationship with God there is NEVER shame. Christ has dealt once and for all with our guilt, and now we can interact with our Father without shame. In fact. when we look to Him, and depend on Him, our lives will reflect the brilliance of His love because “all those who look to Him are radiant.” (Ps 34:5) and Moses can back this up.

  27. 22 The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.
    SANTO! SANTO! SANTO!!!
THANK YOU JESUS!!! Because when I think about the GOOOOOODNESS of my JESUS!!! OOOO THERE IS NOTHING IN THIS WORLD THAT CAN SEPARATE ME FROM THE LOVE OF MY JESUS !!! HALELUJAH!!! Thank you DADDY!!! Te AMO MI REY!!!

  28. 13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
15 The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

Righteous is : keeping you tongue from all forms of evil
    not lieing
    departing from evil
    doing good
    seeking peace
    pursueing peace
