Psalm 45

1 My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.

Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.

And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.

Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king’s enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.

Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.

Kings’ daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir.

10 Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father’s house;

11 So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him.

12 And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall intreat thy favour.

13 The king’s daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold.

14 She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee.

15 With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king’s palace.

16 Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth.

17 I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.

  1. 7 You love the right and hate the wrong. And that is why God, your very own God, poured fragrant oil on your head, Marking you out as king from among your dear companions. MSG

This verse reminds me of the song Albaster Box. We have to turn away from sin and wickeness. If you (me) are hanging around with someone that is always doing the wrong things and pulling us down its time to change friends. We love the sinner but we hate the sin. When we are clear of sin God hears our cries.

  2. 13 The king’s daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold.

It’s easy to get lost in our reality and forget that we are children of the King. Imagine that when we walk in righteousness following after the Spirit of God this is how God sees us. Clothing changes the demeanor of a person. If you were to take a person in old ratty clothes and dress them in gold. It would transform them on the inside as well. They would stand taller, walk prouder, smile and show confidence. When God saved us from sin he dressed us in gold. Lets walk in the confidence and beauty of holiness.

  3. 6 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord : (Deuteronomy 6:4 KJV)

  4. Ladies we are the daughters of the King of kings and Lord of lords, never forget to whom you belong to, and who you serve, keep your virtues to Him only and at all times Praise His Holy Name!!!!!!

  5. 1 My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

Bro. Ward taught an astounding message last night. Once God has introduced himself to us, we then must get to know him.

The psalmist had spent time with God, had grew in his relationship with The Lord, and was bursting with excitement, and anticipation to share what he had learned with others.

He spoke of the things which he had made touching the king.

    The message versions says this.

    Psalms 45:1
A wedding song of the sons of Korah
1 My heart bursts its banks, spilling beauty and goodness.
I pour it out in a poem to the king,
    shaping the river into words:

The writers of this song had a heritage of rebellion. They did not let their past define them, but rather let their relationship with God define who they are.

  6. ETERNAL ROYALTY

6 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

When we consider the influences and instructions for life that we will follow. We will be wise to consider ETERNAL ROYALTY. Our understanding of this life on earth is imperative to understand ETERNAL LIFE.

In consideration of habits, lifestyle and possessions we must keep in our minds the fact that ALL of this is temporary. GOD alone and HIS Kingdom are ETERNAL.

Our LIFE GOAL should include a continual consideration of the approval of GOD. Our ETERNITY will be determined by what we do in consideration to HIS throne. HiS rules, royalty, and majesty.

Continual consideration of HIS HOLY NATURE will keep us in HIS protected pavilion of peace. We are a royal priesthood, an Holy nation and we should live our lives as such.

Father forgive me for the times and areas where I have offended your HOLY nature. Your throne is ETERNAL and my life is temporary. Live in me today iPray.

  7. 11 So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him.

Four different places in the bible I find the reference worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. There is something about coming into the holy presence of the Lord and worshipping him from a holy, righteous vessel. I want my hands to be clean, and my heart pure everytime I utter a word of praise and worship unto the Lord. I want my life to separated, cleansed from all unrighteous everytime I step into His inner most chamber so that I can offer a sweet fragrance of pure praise unto His name.

This is what I feel He desires when this scripture says the King grealy desires thy beauty…..

My prayer is my actions, thoughts, deeds and responses would be the nature and characteristics that continually keep be beautiful in His sight.

  8. 13 The king’s daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold

I am a child of the King ! If you are glorious within,it will shine on the outside ,in attitude and holy living!!!Thankful for my father the King of Kings!!

  9.  Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.
7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

God’s people are privleged above all others and we should be honored to display the beauty of holiness. We should be a happy or glad people and allow our worship to show him our love and appreciation.

  10. Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father’s house; (Psalms 45:10 KJV)

I want to make myself available. I dont want to forget my purpose.

If any man have an ear, let him hear. (Revelation 13:9 KJV)

  11. 8 All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.

When the wise men came to Jesus they brought myrrh. I was looking when Mary went to anoint Christ after his death and it only said spices.

“HOW DO WE RIDE THE WAVE OF PROSPERITY?”

4 And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.

This scripture is talking about the King of Glory riding prosperously…HEY…The King of Glory lives in us therefore we are also prosperous IF WE LET HIM OUT!

    What does “prosperous” mean?

    06743
    TWOT – 1916,1917

    (Hiphil)

to show or experience prosperity, prosper

To PUSH FORWARD…Take authority over the situation…

    HOW DO WE GET PROSPERITY?

This prosperity is not only in finances, but in context prospering is advancing the Kingdom.

4 And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.

    TRUTH
    MEEKNESS
    AND RIGHTEOUSNESS

This is how we prosper the kingdom

  13. This chapter illustrates magnificence. “Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre”. One hath only to read the Word to see the splendor of God. May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  14. my tongue is the pen of a ready writer. king david is ready to elaborately discribe God’s goodness and majesty and rightousness. we should also be ready to tell everyone of God’s greatness

  15. 17 I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.

As I read this verse, I had to sak myself, whose name am I trying to lift up? What will my girls, the next generation, thnk about that? Who will they praise?….

  16. 10 Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father’s house;

This verse made me think of my own life and the journey God has me on. Though I was raised in a church my whole life when i received revelation of the oneness of God I had to make a choice: either continue to stay at my old church where I was spiritually starving or take a chance and step into this new life even if it meant leaving my family behind. My family hasn’t necessarily been kind about my choice but I believe God approves and that’s all that matters. And I know he is working on my family, my mom who was raised in the same church I was never would get baptized but now she overcame her fear of water and recognized the necessity of it and was baptized in Jesus name! I may have had to forget some people in my past and even the father of this worlds house but I have found My father to be a true king and His house is worth dwelling in.

  17. v2 ” Grace is poured into thy lips:”

    Awesome teaching Bro. Ward!!!
GOD has a plan and purpose for all of us that will.. to Know HIM.
GOD has set us apart for HIMSELF. HE knew us before HE formed us in the belly, sanctified and ordained us.
NOW…. We can dream what GOD desires us to be and do for HIM.
” LORD pour your Grace into our lips as we minister to others of your greatness .”
When people see us they should see something different in us like GOD’S Favor.
As the examples that were used in last night’s teaching, Moses and Joseph the people recognized that GOD’S Favor rested on them.

HE must increase i must decrease.

iPray that i may know HIM more and the plans and purpose HE has for me.

    iAm highly favored and prosperous
    iAm thankful for HIS GRACE
iAm a child of the KING!!!

  18. In this scripture, there are many exaltations made unto God, and explanations of how Great God really is. “How would you like to be annoited with the oil of gladness above your counterparts. One word “Wow”, or how would you like for your name to be remembered. But, the best thing of all is to difinately make Jesus Christ name known throughout the entire world. “To Save”……………………………………

7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

17 I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.

“So, lets make his name know”.

    “Now”……………………………………………………………..

  19. Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father’s house;

So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him.

    He calls me a daughter!

When you grow up with a false idea of what a father daughter relationship is and God has to show you rhe true love a father should have for his daughter. The idea that He calls me daughter has a very humbling meaning.

He thinks im beautiful and worth more than i can imagine. He amazes me more and more each day. He calls me daughter but in return i call him daddy!

  20. 6 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

We serve the King of kings and Lord of lords. He is the Great I AM.

  21. Habakkuk3:2~3

2 O Lord, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O Lord, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.
3 God came fr6 Te’man, and the Ho’ly One from mount Pa’ran. Se’lah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise.

This chapter is a reminder to me when we I think there’s no way ov start my praising and dancing then God will do the rest.
    Thank you Jesus.

  22. I am so glad to be a child and daughter of God! I remember being reminded in class a few Sundays ago that God is our Father and was challenged when praying to pray to Him and talk to Him in that fatherly manner because not only is God so great mighty and powerful, he is our compassionate loving Father who cares, loves, and has grace and mercy for us.

  23. 6 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

You are GOD and you change not. Your word is your word and you said you would never leave me or forsake me. In order to receive your ultimate blessing which is everlasting life, I must obey your every word. You are the truth the light and the way.

  24. 1 My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

I have a praise, I have a praise, I have a praise and I gotta let it out!! I’ve literally have had this feeling before. Overwhelming joy, even in the midst of traials and tears..and overflow that the heart cannot contain. A fire that it cannot be quenched. A worship from the most intimate place in your heart. A prayer, from the most profound of your being…pouring out a beautiful aroma of worship. There was a time about a year ago after coming home from church that my heart felt so in love and touched by God that I could hold my emotion and I let it out in a song that I wrote for Him called Beautiful Wonderful. The Lord is worthy to be praised!!!

  25. 6 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. -Hebrews 1:8

Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: -Colossians 1:13

And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. -Revelation 5:10

  26. Now

Listen to me, O royal daughter; take to heart what I say. Forget your people and your family far away. For your royal husband delights in your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord. (Psalms 45:10, 11 NLT)

There must come a time when we as the church make up our minds that what God has for us now and in the future is more than what our past holds.

    Hebrews 11:13-16
13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. 14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. 15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. 16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

    Hebrews 12:16-17
16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. 17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

The promise is coming! It’s not time to sell out but rather hold faith!

    Philippians 3:7-14
7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. 8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord:for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, 9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: 10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; 11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. 12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. 13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended:but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Listen to me, O royal daughter; take to heart what I say. Forget your people and your family far away. For your royal husband delights in your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord. (Psalms 45:10, 11 NLT)

    1 Chronicles 16:29
Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

Jesus delights in the beauty of our holiness unto Him; now is not the time to forsake holiness, or separation unto God, but now is the time to run with everything we have and keep doing good and refuse to grow weary in it.

    Isaiah 40:29-31
29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

NOW is not the time to fade away, NOW is the time to arise!

  27. Verses 6-7 MSG read:

    “Your throne is God’s throne,
    ever and always;
The scepter of your royal rule
    measures right living.
    You love the right
    and hate the wrong.
And that is why God, your very own God,
poured fragrant oil on your head,
    Marking you out as king
    from among your dear companions.”

When you turn your life to Jesus, you too love the right and hate the wrong. People will see that you are the daughter of a King, not only from your outward appearance; but, by the loving compassion and care that you have for their soul.

  28. Being a true servant of the king is what it is all about. Someone who is willing, ready, and able. Praise the name of Jesus.

  29. A Wedding Song

Most brides and grooms want their weddingsto be graced with music- beautiful music with meaningful words. In the ancient Israel it was no different, especially when the wedding was between a king and a princess. Grandeur and splendor can be expected to characterize such an event. The song that is sung at the royal wedding depicted in this psalm is a clear foreshadowing of the eternal union between the King of Kings, and his spotless bride (us the church) Rev 19:6-8; 21:2. While we wait for that glorious wedding day, we can rejoice in the truth that our Lord, our husband forever, is “enthralled” by our churches beauty (Ps 45:11). He sees is, mere sinful human beings, through loving set of eyes.

  30. 1 My heart is inditing a good matter : I speak of the things which I have made touching the king : my tongue is the pen of a ready writer . 2 Thou art fairer than the children of men : grace is poured into thy lips:therefore God hath blessed thee for ever .
