30 Days of Prayer – Day 28

Pray that the church fully possess the territories that God has given to us. “Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee” (Genesis 13:17).

Psalm 49

1 Hear this, all ye people; give ear, all ye inhabitants of the world:

Both low and high, rich and poor, together.

My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding.

I will incline mine ear to a parable: I will open my dark saying upon the harp.

Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil, when the iniquity of my heels shall compass me about?

They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;

None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:

(For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth for ever:)

That he should still live for ever, and not see corruption.

10 For he seeth that wise men die, likewise the fool and the brutish person perish, and leave their wealth to others.

11 Their inward thought is, that their houses shall continue for ever, and their dwelling places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names.

12 Nevertheless man being in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts that perish.

13 This their way is their folly: yet their posterity approve their sayings. Selah.

14 Like sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed on them; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their beauty shall consume in the grave from their dwelling.

15 But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah.

16 Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased;

17 For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him.

18 Though while he lived he blessed his soul: and men will praise thee, when thou doest well to thyself.

19 He shall go to the generation of his fathers; they shall never see light.

20 Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish.

    Music

    4 I will incline mine ear to a parable: I will open my dark saying upon the harp.

    Music is ingraved with deep messages…whether it be anointed music blessed of God or worldly music inspired by the fallen worship leader, BECAREFUL what we allow into our spirits.

  2. 20 Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish.

    we should always kow what God is teaching us through our pleas and prayers and His Word.
    So we can go out to this world and spread the Gospel of Peace~ with all knowledge and understanding.
    If we dont we are Idling (just sitting).~perishing.

  3. 14 Like sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed on them; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their beauty shall consume in the grave from their dwelling.

    Sheep are the stupidest animal I know they are always getting into trouble because where one goes the others follow blindly. The psalmist is comparing the unrighteous to sheep that don’t care where their actions take them they just do it until they are consume by death. For that is the result of sin death. When you ask some of the people why they do what they are doing sometimes the answer is “everyone else is doing it” so in their mind that justify their actions. Don’t be a blind follower, doing things because everyone else is, don’t be a sheep blindly going to the slaughter. Stand for what you believe!!! Stand in the word of God and His righteousness!!! Dare to be right, dare to be different, dare to be set apart from the world!!! Live for Christ!!!!

  4. But God will redeem me from the power of Sheol (the place of the dead); for He will receive me. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! (Psalm 49:15 AMP)
    ThanK you JESUS! For I know in whom I believe in. My GOD that is righteous and faithful to His word!

  5. 17 For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him.

    This scripture reminds me of an old song…

    “This place is not my home I’m just passing through!”

    We will have treasures untold when we reach that glory land. Don’t worry about the treasures here they won’t even compare to what’s in heaven!

  6. What are you listening to?

    4 I will incline mine ear to a parable

    The word of the Lord explicitly states that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. It is safe to conclude that whatever voice is contrary to the word of God decreases faith.

    This is the voice of fear. Fear produces a mistrust, and desire to question the word of God. Yet God did not give us the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.

    If you find yourself afraid, weak, and confused turn the radio station to Faith FM, and let God arise! The psalmist had to choose to listen. The only fear we should ever concern ourselves with is the reverential fear of God.

    Micah 6:9 The voice of the Lord cries to the city
    and it is sound wisdom to fear your name

  7. Leave More Than An Inheritance

    For when he dies he shall carry nothing away;His glory shall not descend after him.
    Psalm 49:17

    God encourages us to fix our eyes on the things that endure. In light of eternity,leaders cannot become consumed with the temporary.
    Only a vision that outlives them, a vision connected to eternity ,will fulfill a godly leader.In other words, we must build a legacy.

    Inheritance-Something you give to others
    Legacy-Something you place in others

    Plant a seed NOW in someone! God will water it! Thank you Jesus!

  8. Only what is done for Christ will last. Every soul has an appointment with the cemetery, save the rapture take place. Things acquired in this life will pass away, we can’t take them with us when we go, but those who have laid up treasures in Heaven have the promise in verse 15 “God shall redeem my soul from the grave….”

  9. HEART AND MOUTH

    My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding. (Psalms 49:3 KJV)

    Jesus gives us understanding in regards to the connection of the HEART AND MOUTH.

    O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. (Matthew 12:34 KJV)

    Basically JESUS says that whatever goes into the heart, will eventually come out of the mouth. In order for my mouth to speak wisdom, I cannot continually confuse my heart with carnality, negative influences or selfish ambition. My meditation should be focused on the holiness, goodness and greatness of our God.

    Speak the positive! Know the TRUTH! Love the LORD!

  10. And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

    Some [trust] in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

    Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because [they are] many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!

    This chapter affirms where our heart has to be. We have to develop a personal relationship with God. Nothing can take the place of it. There’s not enough praise from men to get me into heaven. I have to seek the mercy of The Lord.

    I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise [shall] continually [be] in my mouth.

    What is important to you will come out of your mouth. And you are what you eat.

  11. Verses 5-6 MSG read:

    “So why should I fear in bad times,
    hemmed in by enemy malice,
    Shoved around by bullies,
    demeaned by the arrogant rich?”

    We need to praise whether in good times or bad times. God does not give us the spirit of fear; so, why fret over things that you have no control over. Leave it to the One who controls all things….Jesus.

  12. We cannot save ourselves. It was a popular thing in the home of my youth; protect yourself, stand-up for yourself and pick yourself up and dust yourself off and try again. However, in verse 7 it states we cannot redeem our brother; or in other words, we have no say-so over our brother’s well-being. I understand that we can plead the blood around our family members for protection but if God decides they are needed in Heaven, who are we to argue with God’s plan?

  13. There are two eternal things in this life. That’s the soul of each individual and the Word of God. If I was a wise investor I would pour my life in these two areas.

  14. Vs. 16-20, “Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased; For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him. Though while he lived he blessed his soul: and men will praise thee, when thou doest well to thyself. He shall go to the generation of his fathers; they shall never see light. Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish.”

    These scriptues made me think of the scripture in Matt. 16:26, “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or What shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”

    There is nothing in this world that is worth losing our soul over. We came into this world with nothing, and it is certain, that when we die, we will take nothing with us. The only thing that matters is what we are doing for Jesus and his kingdom, and that we are laying up our treasures in Heaven.

  15. 16 Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased;
    17 For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him.

    Philippians 3:8
    King James Version (KJV)
    8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

    HALELUJAH!!! THANK YOU JESUS!!!
    IF I HAVE YOU, I HAVE EVERYTHING!!!
    WHAT WOULD I HAVE WITHOUT YOU??? depression, hate, strife, anxiety, unforgiveness and so on ……….. nothing BUT THE BLOOD OF JESUS!!!!!!!!!

    THANK YOU MY PRECIOUS DADDY!!! YOU FREED MEEEEEEE!!! THANK YOU, I LOVE YOU MY SWEET JESUS…… =)

  16. This chapter illustrates tomorrow. Trust in this life alone is unwise for death is sure, and tomorrow is not; “Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth”. One need not fear as long as one has followed the Word of God (Baptism in Jesus name and infilling of the Holy Ghost), whereas one that has not only has this life; “Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away”. May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  17. 15 But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall recieve me. Selah
    16 Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased;
    17 For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shal not descend after him.
    19 He shall go to the generation of his fathers; they shall never see light.
    20 Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish.

    wealth doesnt matter, your clothes, your nice phone the things in your life that cost the most dont really matter. when we die we take nothing, all that is left is our hearts and our souls. thats why its so important not to let expensive things, worldly things be a big part in your life because they wont last forever and they take away the time and attention that should be given to GOD. Thank God for being our redeemer, for being forgiving, without him we have nothing. We are nothing. Take this whole world and give me Jesus. the LORD is all i need to be happy!!

  18. In this scripture, in verse 15, and he shall redeem my soul from the grave. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so……..

    “Now”…………..

  19. 16 So don’t be impressed with those who get rich and pile up fame and fortune. 17 They can’t take it with them; fame and fortune all get left behind. 18 Just when they think they’ve arrived and folks praise them because they’ve made good, 19 They enter the family burial plot where they’ll never see sunshine again. 20 We aren’t immortal. We don’t last long. Like our dogs, we age and weaken. And die.

    Sometimes God test us to see how we are gonna handle a blessing are we gonna get greedy and depend on our wealth and not give God his part or are we going to give God his part and do what we know to do is right. We can’t take anything with us when we go. Don’t make the world your home and the things in the world. All I need is Jesus Christ and as that song goes:

    This world is not my home I’m just a passing through
    My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue
    The angels beckon me from heaven’s open door
    And I can’t feel at home in this world anymore
    Oh Lord you know I have no friend like you
    If heaven’s not my home then Lord what will I do
    The angels beckon me from heaven’s open door
    And I can’t feel at home in this world anymore

    I have a loving mother just over in Gloryland
    And I don’t expect to stop until I shake her hand
    She’s waiting now for me in heaven’s open door
    And I can’t feel at home in this world anymore
    Oh Lord you know…
    [ guitar ]
    Just over in Gloryland we’ll live eternaly the saints on every hand are shouting victory
    Their songs of sweetest praise drift back from heaven’s shore
    And I can’t feel at home in this world anymore
    Oh Lord you know…

  20. 15 But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah.

    He is my redeemer, and the lifter of my head. When trials come, I know where my trust is….

  21. Rich or poor we all die and can take nothing with us. The redeemef have life everlasting with Jesus and what we’ve done for him will go before us. Those lost have their sins ever before them. Choose this day to serve the Lord.

  22. 16 Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased;

    17 For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him.

    These scriptures remind me that as the old saying goes “I came into this world with nothing and Im not taking nothing with me!” No matter what we build up and increase ourselves with on this earth nothing is more precious that God nothing can take the place of him in a persons life.
    Another song says “Only whats done for Christ will last”

  23. 6 They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;

    7 None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:

    Where does your trust lie?

    If we trust in material possessions our end will be empty. Everything we have will pass away even our names. Only when we put our trust in God do we have a hope for an eternity with Him. We choose to live for Him and trust that His way is the best way.

  24. All men are equal in God’s eyes. We are all sinners in need of a redeemer. We cannot redeem ourselves except by coming to Jesus and obeying his Word; repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus and ye shall receive the Holy Ghost.

  25. v17 For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him.

  26. money can’t buy you everything
    6 They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches; 7 None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:

    Many times people think that if they only had more money they could buy thier way out of situations. I have heard rich people comment that they could buy anything they wanted. Both of these statements have the potential for being incorrect. While I think that money is nice and that God blesses people with movey so they can be blessed and be a blessing, I don’t agree that money is everything.

    According to this scripture you can not buy for yourself or others the free gift of salvation. Other scriptures tell us how we can choose to follow God, but because of our own selfish desires we choose not to follow Him.

    Mark 10
    21Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
    22And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.
    23And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
    24And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
    25It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

    What would ever make someone think that they could use the things of earth to pay for things that were not created here. Why would God want a bunch of gold to pay for your salvation when that is what His streets are made out of? Do we not realize that our creater also created the things that we simple humans use for currency? How could our extrememly small amount of things ever pay anything toward Jesus’ death?

  27. 10 For he seeth that wise men die, likewise the fool and the brutish person perish, and leave their wealth to others.

    11 Their inward thought is, that their houses shall continue for ever, and their dwelling places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names.

    12 Nevertheless man being in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts that perish.

    Only what we do for Christ will last!

    For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? -Matthew 16:26

    But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? -Luke 12:20

  28. 15 But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah.

    Only God can bring about true redemption. A God that can do all things.

  29. True Life

    7 None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:

    8 (For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth for ever:)

    9 That he should still live for ever, and not see corruption.

Selah.

    There is a saying that is floating around on social media: “you have never really lived until you have done something for someone who can never repay you.” I, however, submit that it is the inverse that is most true: “you have never really lived until someone has done something for you that you can never repay.” We do not get to have true life until it is God who redeems our soul, canceling the sin debt that we could never repay.

    “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” John 10:10 AMP

    “19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

    20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

    21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Matthew 6:19-21 KJV

    This Psalm exhorts us to keep our hearts in line that our treasure would be in heaven and we would not trust in our natural understanding. A simple lesson but so easy to forget in our humanity!

  30. No matter who you are: male or female. No matter your age: young or old. It doesn’t matter what your bank account looks like. God is no respector of persons, He doesn’t discriminate but judges all by the same spectrum, because all humanity no matter their status needs God. A close relationship with God means that His character will rub off on us like it did Moses when he came down from Mount Sinai witue the 10 commandments. We cannot give into trusting in worldly things or objects…running in the opposite direction when we don’t feel close to Him. Don’t become afraid when people come into money because its only useful here. We can only make a difference with our money to help others here as a tool. God wants to prosper us so that we are without need. He doesn’t want us to trust in that resource ‘$’ and make it our God our desired company. God wants us to trust in Him. Trust in faith that He will provide and if we are trustworthy by his account then He may trust us with much. If we can slay the thought of building up a golden calf to admire and worship then we may display to God that we value His blessings He so graciously provides for us. God provided the gold jewelry to the Israelites to take with them from the Exodus most likely to build up the temple later. God has a plan if we are in sync with Him then we won’t be trying tp stray from His Ways even when we can’t see Him moving in purpose lives. Don’t let go!

  31. 1 Hear this , all ye people ; give ear , all ye inhabitants of the world : 2 Both low and high , rich and poor , together . 3 My mouth shall speak of wisdom ; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding .

  32. 1-2 Listen, everyone, listen—
    earth-dwellers, don’t miss this.
    All you haves
    and have-nots,
    All together now: listen.

    You miss one, you may miss all!

    So we need to listen for Gods voice when he calls us to do his work.

  33. Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish.

    This reminded me of what proverbs talks about. It is much more beneficial to acquire knowledge and wisdom and understanding of the Lord. Wisdom is knowledge applied. It will help you live life. The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the lord

    Proverbs 1:7
    The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge:
    but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

    Proverbs 2:1-5
    My son, if thou wilt receive my words,
    and hide my commandments with thee;
    So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom,
    and apply thine heart to understanding;
    Yea, if thou criest after knowledge,
    and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
    If thou seekest her as silver,
    and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
    Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord,
    and find the knowledge of God.
