Psalm 50

1 The mighty God, even the Lord, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.

Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.

Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.

He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.

Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.

And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah.

Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am God, even thy God.

I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before me.

I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds.

10 For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.

11 I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.

12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.

13 Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?

14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:

15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

16 But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?

17 Seeing thou hatest instruction, and casteth my words behind thee.

18 When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers.

19 Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.

20 Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother’s son.

21 These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.

22 Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.

23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.

  1. In this scripture, “Wow”….lets keep God happy or pleased with our praise and set a guard upon our lips. Because we do want to see his salvation as in the last verse.

    “Now”………..

  2. Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. (Psalms 50:14, 15 KJV)
That I will not offer you anything less, in Jesus name!

  3. My God reigns over everything, it is ALL His!!!!!!

One of my favorite Sunday school song:

My God is so big, so strong and so mighty
There’s nothing my God cannot do
My God is so big, so strong and so mighty
There’s nothing my God cannot do
    He made the trees
    He made the seas
    He made the elephants too
My God is so big, so strong and so mighty
There’s nothing my God cannot do

My God is so great, so strong and so mighty
There’s nothing my God cannot do
My God is so great, so strong and so mighty
There’s nothing my God cannot do
    The mountains are his
    The rivers are his
The skies are his handy works too
My God is so great, so strong and so mighty
There’s nothing my God cannot do
There’s nothing my God cannot do
There’s nothing my God cannot do
    For you

    Simple and to the point.

  4. ILove to eat the book

All the money in the world doesn’t equal praise.

14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:

23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.

God is looking for someone to worship him in Spirit and Truth. Looking for a WORSHIPPER…

  5. Make thankfulness your sacrifice to God, and keep the vows you made to the Most High. Then call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory.” (Psalms 50:14, 15 NLT)

Continually give thanks to The Lord!

  6. 3 Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.

As the flames of revival begin to ignite, and sweep our lands, the closer we are to God the more safe we are when the enemy counter attacks.

    Isaiah 26:1
    Chapter 26
    1 In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah;
    We have a strong city;
salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks.

    The word salvation here is

    h3444. ישׁועה y su‘a;

feminine passive participle of 3467; something saved, i. e. (abstractly) deliverance; hence, aid, victory, prosperity: — deliverance, health, help (- ing), salvation, save, saving (health), welfare.
    AV (78)- salvation 65, help 4, deliverance 3, health 3, save 1, saving 1, welfare 1;
salvation, deliverance welfare, prosperity deliverance salvation ( by God) victory

Yeshua is our safety! Jesus is our safety!

  7. For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine. If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof. (Psalms 50:10-12 KJV)

Why do we think that we can give God anything that He has made to make Him happy? That is why we have free will and we choose to work for Him. He already owns everything. When we choose to do His will it tells him that we are surrendering ourselves to Him.

  8. 16 But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?

    Willing sacrifices

Many times people want to know just what they have to do, to achieve their goals. People want a laundry llist of black and white do this don’t do that, that they might do just what they need to get by.

Many people in the church are this way too. They want to know what they “have to do”, to be able to teach this class, or to sing on the platform, or to get behind the pulpit. Sadly enough what is expected of the leaders who fill these positions on the church, only do the bare minium of what is expected, and don’t consider the blessing of going further, and doing more than is expected…

As we work to grow the kingdom, it becomes evident as to who these people are, because they are about the building their own kingdoms…

  9. v14-15 Offer unto GOD thanksgiving ; and pay thy vows unto the most High:
And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

Thanks be unto GOD for his unspeakable gift. ( HIMSELF ). 2 COR. 9:15

Because HE willing gave, we NOW can live
Acts 11:18. When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified GOD, saying, Then hath GOD also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

One who loves GOD will offer HIM THANKSGIVING and seek to glorify HIM in his whole body, mind, and spirit.

    GOD IS SOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOD !!!!

    NOW!!!

  10. 17 Seeing thou hatest instruction, and casteth my words behind thee.

16-21 Next, God calls up the wicked:
“What are you up to, quoting my laws,
talking like we are good friends?
    You never answer the door when I call;
you treat my words like garbage.
    If you find a thief, you make him your buddy;
adulterers are your friends of choice.
    Your mouth drools filth;
lying is a serious art form with you.
You stab your own brother in the back,
    rip off your little sister.
    I kept a quiet patience while you did these things;
you thought I went along with your game.
I’m calling you on the carpet, now,
laying your wickedness out in plain sight.
    Message version

Wow! He ” kept in quiet patience” thinking just maybe you would see the error of your ways. As a parent sometimes I know one of my children is about to do something wrong and instead of correcting them before they do it, I sit and quietly watch to see if they will change their mind. Sometimes they realize I am watching and make a great choice to find something else to do. Other times its “out of sight out of mind” and they go ahead and do it.

There are two ways to be called out by God
    1. He sees your ways of righteousness and calls you to a new place of leadership; A new season, a Due Season or…
    2. He sees your wickedness and calls you out to expose your ways.

  11. _ pride, laziness, sadness, frustrations, worries of life,(bills, family, fights, revelion….)a loss, anger, are just some of the reasons that sometimes instead of crying unto The Lord, we ran out…..
    —-but he says: psalm50:14,15
    SACRIFICE THANK OFFERING TO
GOD,FULFILL YOUR VOWS TO THE MOST HIGH(15) AND CALM UPON ME IN THE DAY OF TROUBLE. I WILL DELIVER YOU AND YOU WILL HONOR ME.
(We need to know to recognize when we are in trouble;not necessary a visible hurting trouble situation.
I think slime times we are just not doing what we suppose to….”Then we are in trouble”!
—- I will praise the LORD at all times, and
His worship shall continually be in my mouth!.
    God bless!

    • —-Even though God is talking about (to) the wicked people.
—Many times we say: God told me to do this or that, or God said for us to go over there or God put you in my way so that I can bless you or whatever these are just exemples……
—WE are so sure that its God’s guidance, will to do that one thing right?
—We’ll; how come sometimes we go:
“”I am not 100% sure what God has been trying to tell me lately.I am not so eyre if its him talking to me……
Well we have the Holy Ghost in us,God will make sure it’s him talking to us, and this is the verse I think it goes with my thought:
      Psalm50:17
      YOU HATE MY INSTRUCTION
AND CAST MY WORDS BEHIND YOU.

WE want Gods will in our life, but when it come for us to obey, or do something we think we really can’t do, we show rebellion, and ignore the hole thing….And this is what I think…

  12. Liar-Liar pants on fire…
19 Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit. Is it so hard to be truthful? I can remember lying when I was younger. It was nerve racking. Trying to ensure what I was saying was believable and something that I could remember if asked about, it was hard work. However, time and age has taught me there is nothing like the truth. We have all heard the saying “The truth shall set you free”. It truly does. There is no worry associated with truth. Sure they may be consequences associated with actions that may be under question but lying about circumstances only increases the potential risks.

“It requires a fertile and high-functioning brain to take something as simple as the truth and twist it.” Let’s put that energy into something other than fabricating stories…

  13. 19 Your mouth drools filth; lying is a serious art form with you. 20 You stab your own brother in the back, rip off your little sister. 21 I kept a quiet patience while you did these things; you thought I went along with your game. I’m calling you on the carpet, now, laying your wickedness out in plain sight. MSG

What makes a person want to lie on someone? How come they can’t just tell the truth?
Proverbs 28:13 “He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy.”
It is time for us to take a stand for what we believe and if we are hanging with someone that can’t tell the truth its time to move on cause we become the company we keep. I have been around people that have lied so much that they don’t know the truth and have to tell one lie after the other to cover up the lies they have already told. That has to be a sad life to live?

  14. 14 Offerunto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:
15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee and thou shalt glorify me:
16 But unto the wicked God sayith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?
17 Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.
20 Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother’s son.
22 Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.

Some people forget that to love thy neighbor as thyself is one of the ten commandments and when it comes to God and his rules for us we cant pick and choose which ones we want to fallow. It is wrong to speak against another person, especially a brother/sister in Christ. We are supposed to love everyone and what does that make us if there is someone we see often whom we dont like or we talk bad about.? God is not the only one who notices. Dont forget God, dont loose your fear for him because he is the almighty.

  15. 14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:
15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

Offer!!! Offer up a praise of THANKSGIVING, FOR THE LORD OUR GOD IS SOOOO WORTHY!!! HE HAS BEEN MORE THAN GOOD TO PEOPLE!!! Offer up to GOD A GREAT PRAISE!!! Annnd PAY thy vows…. Then after being obedient we call upon HIM on the day of trouble and HE DELIVIERS US!!! HALELUJAH!!! Thank YOU JESUS!!! I love you DADDY!!!

  16. This chapter illustrates viewpoint. Man will not judge man, God (Jesus) will; therefore God’s viewpoint is all that matters. One must study the Word and seek God while one can; “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death”. May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  17. Here’s written evidence you cannot out give God. 1st off everything in creation that we could offer Him is already His. Its like giving your children money to get Christmas gifts. They are going to get you a present with money you already gave them…. That is if you taught them to be selfless in their giving since you have entrusted them with it. God has entrusted us with it. This is why we have to show our children the importance of obeying and acknowledging Gods provisions are found in our $. If Jr sees daddy giving his tithe and offering and get taught Why he does it…that will make the difference for years to come. We must respect the tithe and offering if we expect to see the future generation to. Monkey see. Monkey do. Teach them why. Why, takes teaching. Teach up a child in the way he should

    • go and he will not stray. Eli discipline your children of that path they should stay on and they will prosper. You will have to answer for the way you have sheparded His children..He’s blessed you with. Even if they are not biologically yours. You never know if that child will be the next Samuel. Be faithful now!

  18. Verses 22-23 MSG read:

“Time’s up for playing fast and
    loose with me.
    I’m ready to pass sentence,
and there’s no help in sight!
It’s the praising life that honors me.
As soon as you set your foot on the Way,
    I’ll show you my salvation.”

We need to remember to stay firm in Jesus and have a praising life because this honors him. Even if you have gone down the wrong path, the end of this chapter says “As soon as you set your foot on the Way, I’ll show you my salvation”. If you ask God to forgive you, he will; but, don’t forget to forgive yourself too and move forward NOW.

  19. 21 These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.

I pray I never see God as low as humanity. I may not understand all His majesty and glory but I hope I never humanize him. God robed Himself in flesh humbling Himself so that we could be saved, showing unconditional love between creator and created. However even though He walked this earth as a man He has always been so much more.

1 The mighty God, even the Lord, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.

How ridiculous it would be to bring God down to our own level in our minds.

  20. IT’S DUE SEASON

1 The mighty God, even the Lord, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.

“Hear the Voice” was the theme of the Because of the Times conference we attended last week in Alexandria, LA. I have sought the voice of the LORD more intently since having this incredible principal reiterated in my mind and spirit.

Sincerely I believe I heard the voice of the LORD say to the congregation at The POFW that it is DUE SEASON. This will not mean exactly the same thing for everybody, however it does mean “something” to everybody.

The LORD hath spoken IT! IT will happen! He is calling to the earth all day every day, we MUST hear HIM more often throughout the day.

    iListen
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  21. 7 Hear , O my people , and I will speak ; O Israel and I WILL TESTIFY AGAINST THEE : i am God , even thy God . 8 I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings , to have been continually before me . 9 I will take no bullock out of thy house , nor he goats out of thy folds . 10 For every beast of the forest is mine , and the cattle upon a thousand hills . 11 I know all the fowls of the mountains : and the wild beasts of the field are mine .

  22. The day will come when God knocks on our door that is the day when we open the door. If we close the door on Gods knocking we don’t know if that will be the last knock we hear.

16-21 Next, God calls up the wicked:

“What are you up to, quoting my laws,
talking like we are good friends?
    You never answer the door when I call;

  23. 4. He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.
God is coming soon and we need to be ready.

  24. Vs.10-12, “For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine. If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.”

Vs.14, “Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High.”

So, what can we give to God who created it all and owns it all? Our PRAISE.

Hebrews 13:15 says, “By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.”

  25. 23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.

You want to hear from God? Let Him hear you first…but take into account that He hears all the time. Sometimes with the same lips that we praise, we curse. This reminds me of the scripture that says that out of the abundance of your heart your mouth speaks. What is that which is in you heart? Just pay attention to what is being said.
Lord let the meditation of my mind and of my heart be about you. Let my words be pleasing to your ears and my praise joyous noise to bless your heart. Transform me more into your image day by day..

  26. When the saints go marching in.

5 Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.

He only called the saints that sacrificed.
    He rewards sacrifice.
    He commands sacrifice.

The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD [is] good; for his mercy [endureth] for ever: [and] of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD.

The only way to be in that number is to fallow his example of sacrifice.
I choose to live my life as a sacrifice to him.

  27. 19 Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.

The tongue is the smallest member of the body but it gets us into the worst trouble. There’s no such thing as “little white lies” with him. The Holy Ghost can help us bridle our tongues. Repentance today and mercy fresh & new each morning is God’s plan for his people. We are overcomers by the “word of our testimony and the blood of the Lamb”!

  28. 1 The mighty God, even the Lord, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the

5 Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.

6 And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah.

This is a great chapter. The Lord is clear in his instruction and expectation for his people. He is the judge of all creation. He is righteous in all that he does for his people..

22 Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.

23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.

  29. 14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:

15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

This scripture show us if we offer unto God praise and and are thankful unto him and pay our vows (tithes) unto God his blessing will be upon us. We will call to him and his ear will be attentive to our cry. He will deliver us in time of trouble and we in gratitude to him will glorify his name.

  30. 14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:
23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God

God wants us to offer thanksgiving for all the mighty things He does for us.
We should give Him praise, and let our conversations be on things that are holy and pure.

Thank you Lord for salvation !!!Let me live a life pleasing to you,so that I might be an exsample to someone else!! Lord help me not to ever be a stubbling block to anyone.

  31. 1 The mighty God, even the Lord, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.
2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.

When I was reading this , my memory brought me back to a time that I was driving to work. The sun was just coming up over the horizon , the true colors were magnificent. Reds, oranges, yellows, all of them just as Hod had taken a brush and painted the sky.

  32. 12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.

13 Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?

14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:

15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

Broken relationships with people can teach a distorted view of God, namely the lie “God doesn’t have time for me and my problem, I don’t want to annoy Him by asking for His attention and help.”

    Psalms 118:17
17 I shall not die, but live,
and declare the works of the Lord.

We bring God glory in declaring how He saved us, in our testimony and praise. He loved us enough while we were yet in sin to suffer the cross for us, why would trusting Him with our problems be wearisome and annoying to Him? It is an opportunity to bring Him glory. Trusting God with our problems honors Him with declaring He is the one who is able to do something about it, and the help He gives in turn is another opportunity for His glory to shine from our lives.

    1 Peter 5:6-7
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

    iTrust
    iCast
    iGlorify

  33. 12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.

God’s got it all in control. We have a God who always seem to amaze me. He says the world is his and the fulness thereof. Whatever we need, we can get it from God.

  34. 23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.

What we say with out lips, actions, type, write, any way we communicate should be pleasing in the sight of The Lord. If it be praise it glorifies Him, if our speech in every manner is ordered of God We will be a testimony of Gods work in our lives
