Psalm 67

1 God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah.

That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.

Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.

O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah.

Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.

Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.

God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.

  1. May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine on us— so that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations. May the peoples praise you, God; may all the peoples praise you. May the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you rule the peoples with equity and guide the nations of the earth. May the peoples praise you, God; may all the peoples praise you. The land yields its harvest; God, our God, blesses us. May God bless us still, so that all the ends of the earth will fear him. (Psalm 67:1-7
Lord I thank you for your Mercy, your Grace, and your Blessings upon our Nation!!! Glory We are blessed and highly favored!

  2. People came from all walks of the world to the presidential inauguration, they scream, they praised, they sang… for what a men just like them, capable of doing good and evil just like them. There will be a day when I Lord will return and every knee shall bow and every tongue confess… Hallelujah!!!!!! Now that is reason to rejoice, that is a reason to Praise, and Sing a New Song!!!!

4 O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah.

5 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.

You want the increase of this land PRAISE HIM!!!!!

  3. 4 O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah.

    Sing for Joy

Not sing because you have joy but sing for joy in order to have joy. Lets praise The Lord with a song this morning!

  4. God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah. (Psalms 67:1 KJV)

Seek the face of The Lord, not just His Hand.

  5. 5 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.

6 Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.

To get the increase and the blessings, first we must praise!!

  6. Make God Smile

1 God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah.

We say that if someone is havering a great day they are glowing and everyone is attracted to them by their glow. When God
Shines on us he is smiling down on us with approval.

  7. 5 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.

6 Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.

Praise is a prerequisite to increase.
He requires a praise before his hand comes upon us. Praise him in the morning for the increase of the day. Some people don’t have a good day because of how they treat God in the morning. We have to wake up with praise on our lips and bless him with our first fruit of the morning. Then he will bless our day.

    Praise him this morning POFW
    And Have a Good Day!

  8. Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.

Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us. (So like Pastor has been trying to show us through Gods word is if we praise him he will see to the increase of our church. Everything begins with PRAISE.

  9. Vs.1, “God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah.”

This verse made me think of the verses found in Numbers 6:22-26, “And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them, The LORD bless thee, and keep thee; The LORD make his face to shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee; The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.”

So, my prayer for my brothers and sisters today is that God would bless you and keep you, make his face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you, lift his countenance upon you and give you peace. AMEN

  10. 7 God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.

HALELUJAH!!! GOD SHALL BLESS US!!! If GOD decided not to bless, I still would be forever grateful, SALVATION IS MORE THAN ENOUGH!!! To have brought me out of that nasty pit……. Just to think and realize that I did nothing to deserve SALVATION…….. Because HE FIRST LOVED ME ,HE CAME AND FOUND ME. I COULD NEVER BE ABLE TO REPAY HIM FOR THE GREAT GREAT GREAT MERCY HE HAD AND CONTINUES TO HAVE UNTO ME (for its not by works)…… I thank You JESUS…… I love You DADDY 🙂

  11. THE PROMISED RETURN OF PRAISE

5 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.
6 Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.
7 God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.

As frail humans we can present 100’s of reasons why we don’t Praise the LORD. It’s not my nature, it’s not necessary, what are people going to think, i don’t feel good, i dont feel like it, they hurt my feelings, I dont want to scare people, i dont want to embarrass myself, my friends or family. I dont like the song, i dont like the music, its too loud, its too fast, its too quite, its too slow, its too bright, its too dark, it might mess up my clothes or hair, what if I fall. etc. I could go on and you could add to the list. The devil is the prince of the power of the air and is full of hot air (EXCUSES) – reasons wrapped in a lie.

The TRUTH is the devil is fearful of a person who will PRAISE faithfully, unconditionally and continually. We find the reason here in Psalm 67.

    When people PRAISE,

    GOD BLESSES THEM

Their fields, (jobs, finances, resources) verse 7 says the earth will BLESS a person who will PRAISE JESUS! It also states that GOD WILL BLESS a person that will PRAISE HIM!

2 GOD things happen when we PRAISE.

    1. We are BLESSED, GOD supplies, provides and INCREASES us.

    2. The earth, the world is witness to the GOODNESS of GOD and will fear HIIM, honor, respect and seek HIM.

PRAISE is a 2 fold weapon of the believer, it GUARANTEES a RETURN on the SEED we SOW. We cannot expect the earth to yield increase if we fail to SOW SEED (MONEY) into HIS KIngdom. It also is a TOOL of EVANGELISM. Do not be ashamed. PROCLAIM loudly and boldly the name above every name JESUS!

Do NOT wait until Sunday, PRAISE JESUS now. In the middle of your mess, while you are being BLESSED, especially if you do not feel like it.

Make a PRAISE deposit into the BANK of the KINGDOM of GOD!

I FEEL like PREACHING right NOW!

    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

    NOW

  12. Verses 6-7 CEV read:

“Our God has blessed the earth
    with a wonderful harvest!
    Pray for his blessings
    to continue
    and for everyone on earth
    to worship our God.”

It’s time to rake the harvest in and claim the blessings of the Lord in Jesus name! Our God is good and greatly to be praised.

  13. ILove to eat the book

    Praise=Productivity

5 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.

6 Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.

Praise The Lord and lift Him up and HE WILL GIVE THE INCREASE !

    Easy to understand concept.

  14. Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people
praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.

PRAISE ZACK, PRAISE ZACK, PRAISE PRAISE PRAISE!!!!!

The power of praise goea beyound winning the battle but it also yeild increase.
    1. Praise to take the territory
    2. Praise to yeild increase on the land you justed possesed.
    3. Praise in Thanksgiving.

Let everything thay has breath praise the Lord for everything He has done, will do, and even the things he says no to.

    Like Nike says
    JUST PRAISE… NOW PRAISE!

  15. Psalm 67:1-2

A Bigger Vision Drives God’s Leaders

God be merciful to us and bless us, And cause His face to shine upon us, That your way may be known on earth , Your salvation among all nations. Psalm 67:1-2

God’s blessings follow leaders who adopt His vision for the nations for the world.

  16. Psalm 67:1,2(NIV)
1.-May GOD be gracious to us and bless us,
and make his face shine upon us,
21.-that your ways may be known on earth,
    Your SALVATION among all nations.

    Acts18:25,26,27.
He had been instructed in the way of the LORD,and he spoked with great “fervor” and talk about JESUS accurately ,though he knew only the baptism of John.he began to speak boldly in the synagogue she Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they invited him to their home and explained to him the way more adequately .
    —– WE NEED GOD’S MERCY EVERYDAY…..
BUT HERE IS ONE OF THE THINGS WE NEED HIS MERCY, HIS GRACE,LIGHT,HIS UNDERSTANDING,HIS FAVOR, GUIDENCE…
APOLLOS DIDN’T KNOW EVERYTHING,BUT THE POINT IS:THAT HE WAS BEING THE LIGHT TO THESE PEOPLE,HE HAD THE DESIRE,THAT FERVENT NEED OF SHARING THE WORD TO OTHERS,HE WAS GOING FORD(wasn’t passive) EVEN THOU HE DIDN’T KNOW EVERYTHING,HE WAS LETTING GOD BE KNOWN TO THESE PEOPLE.
That’S WHY WE NEED TO ASK GOD TO MAKE HIS FACE SHINE UPON US,SO THAT WE ARE ABLE AND HAVE THE COURAGE TO TALK ABOUT HIS SALVATION TO ALL.

  17. 5 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.

6 Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.

7 God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.

Wow…Listen to God. He says, here let me give you a trick, that always works on how to get blessed. And we might think oh ok what’s it gonna cost me? Nothing much than moving, getting up getting out, lifting arms and a shout! Great and mighty are you Lord! Praise! Even when everything is going down hill and there might not be much breath left…push with a praise. Praise will make you feel good. God will see your offering, the sacrificial praise. Praise Him in the morning, praise Him in the noon time, praise Him when the sun goes down. Praise Him for the great news and the ones to Come. God will bless us just for our praise…wow what are we waiting for. Let’s lift up the name above every name and magnify the Lord Jesus..!

  18. 1 God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah.

God favors us NOW, we just have to be submissive to the Lord and follow his commandments. Lord shine on me, I bless your Holy name Lord.

God doesn’t pick and choose who he wants to bless it’s all up to us to trust and have faith in him. Lord have mercy on my soul.

  19. In this scripture, he will judge righteously. I pray that these people would be in fear of him. So, they might be saved!

    Amen……

  20. 7 God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.

We see how praise produces harvest, but what does the harvest produce?

According to this verse the harvest leads to God blessing, and then the earth will fear God. An earth that fears God is a world where people begin the journey toward wisdom.

Solomon said the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

When the Church praises, harvest comes, God blesses, and the whole world reverences, and fears the Lord!

A world that fears the Lord is free from murder, hatred, killing, wrath, envy, abortion, homosexuality, promiscuity, adultery, lies, etc.

O that the earth will fear the Lord!

  21. This chapter illustrates yesterday. The blessings that came from praising God was obvious. One must turn towards Jesus (God) if one wants to receive his blessings. May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  22. vs 6 ~stuck in my mind today.
Give your tithes and offerings and the Lord says He will bless thee.
    l will always honor God.

  23. GOD be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah.

Our worship and praise will cause others to sence the presence of GOD within us. We allow our lights to shine before others by living our praise and worship to JESUS
GOD chose HIS church as living epistles that all people would read .

    iPraise
    iPray
    iWorship
    iPraise, Praise, Praise, Praise
    Now

  24. Mercy, Blessings, Health, Righteous Judgement, Favor of the Lord, Increase and a Godly Fear area all fruits of giving praise unto the Lord.

I will bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

  25. Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.6 Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.7 God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.

When we stop and count our many blessings we have so much to praise him for! Praise him just because of who he is! Praise him!

  26. 7 God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Great is our God who causes us to triumph in him.

  27. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. So if God blessed you last year he will bless you again. God doesn’t change. We change. Life and its uncertainties may shake you, but God-the Rock of Ages-does not move. If you cling to Him, His strength will sustain you.

I will praise God in the good bad and the ugly. Thank you Jesus for loving me

  28. 3 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.

4 O let the nations be glad and sing forjoy: forthoushaltjudge the people righteously, and govern the nations uponearth. Selah.

I will sing unto the Lord for he is worth to be praised and I will never let a rock cry out in my place. He has done great things in my life what more can I ask for?

Thank you Jesus! What a mighty God we serve.

  29. Favor

1 God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah.

May God be merciful and bless us. May his face smile with favor on us. Interlude (Psalms 67:1 NLT)

I know what it is to have favor as well as be out of favor. Growing up, I learned to zealously vie for favor, regardless the cost, and lived by a mentality that boiled down to “have favor, or die; be approved of or be a miserable failure.” One of the hardest things for me to wrap my head around after getting in church is a God who loves me and gives me favor even though I don’t deserve it. I went for years in the more or less constant terror of God’s disapproval, somehow knowing but not really hearing God’s truth over the screaming lies of my past.

Of all those I had tried to get favor out of, He was hands down the biggest challenge as I could never reach the bar He set so very high above my head. Oh I tried to reach it, but it took quite some time before I finally realized that if I quit trying to escape Calvary, I would find there was One who already was nailed to the cross made for me. It was in my head for years, but it took a long, long time for the truth to reach my heart and become alive in me.

The idea of God’s favor, or grace, was so inconceivable that I would accept it on the surface but couldn’t barely touch it on any deeper level. I became so terribly bound by trying to win God’s grace that I pushed it violently away. I kept thinking “if I do more, if I just get this right, if I somehow can not be me but someone who’s perfect, if I, if I…” One day God stopped me and stepped into the middle of my prison and more or less said, ” you are not defined by the lack of approval from your past, that is not who you are; you are a new creature in Me, and I love you just as you are.”

It was not the I hadn’t heard that message before, but at last I had given up control to God of the core part of who I was. I had been addicted to that control, as it seemed to be my last shred of hope when disapproval came; they could rip me down, but there was one last bit of me they could never reach and so could never completely destroy me. Yet when I gave that last most precious part to God, I wasn’t met with hatred and scorn but love and healing. Places where death reigned received the sudden flow of life that comes with receiving grace.

    Galatians 2:19-21
19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. 20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. 21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

    Ephesians 2:4-10
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

    Hebrews 4:14-16
14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

    Hebrews 12:28
Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear

  30. Vs1 says “may God be gracious to us and bless us”…but my favorite part is here when he says “and make his face shine upon us.” whenever we are pleased with someone we usually give them a verbal reward. Maybe even a thank you card. These are only humanly minded and sweet and thoughtful. But they are minute compared to what God can do when he blesses. Let your light shine to a gloomy world and His have will shine upon us. Shine on!

  31. 4 O let the nations be glad and sing for joy : for thou shalt judge the people righteously , and govern the nations upon earth . Selah . 5 Let the people praise thee , O God ; shall bless us . 7 God shall bless us ; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him .

  32. 5 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.
6 Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.

Only when we all unite, will we truely see the full amount of how much God is desiring to bless us.
