Read Proverbs Chapter 18

Psalm 70

1 Make haste, o God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O Lord.

Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.

Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha.

Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; OLord, make no tarrying.

  1. ILove to eat the book.

(Thank God for a safe exodus)

If we could learn to trust God, and let God defend us instead of “giving them a piece of our mind”, we would loose the hands of God to bring true deliverance.

Generally our adversaries are the ones who are jealous of us…when we defend ourselves, the enemy laughs…but when we give it to The Lord, God does great and mighty things we could never do our own…

    LET GOD FIGHT THE BATTLE!

  2. God is my deliverer~ The Great I Am~ The answer to all our life problems when we pray for our situations~ He answers us even if it’s not what we understand but it’s for our best interest.
So run with it and be glad with praises to Him cause He deserves it.
Thank you Lord for caring for me I love you Jesus thank you so much.

  3. 4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

THANK YOU JESUS FOR YOUR SALVATION… May the Lord be ALWAYS MAGNIFIED…

  4. God is always right on time! He doesn’t have to rush; He saw our problems coming before they ever happened and set a plan in motion to deliver us, we just have to pray and give them over to Him. (Easy to say, much harder to have the patience and faith to wait)

  5. 5 But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; OLord, make no tarrying.

We see here where our trust should lie. There was no begging and pleding, but rather requests wereade and praise. When the church realizes that God IS out help and our deliverer, and we quit fearing a defeated foe, our prayers too will change,,,

  6. Magnified [1540] גדל gadal 117x [Q] to grow up; be great, exalted; [P] to grow long, make great; to exalt, honor, glorify; [Pu] to be well- nurtured; [H] to make great, cause greatness; [Ht] to magnify oneself, show greatness; see also 1524 [1431] See exalt; (be) great; magnify

4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

God is big. He is huge. His being far exceeds to width, depth, and breadth of the universe. He is so epically massive that our minds cannot fathom.

Sometimes we forget how big God really is. Imagine looking up into the sky, and praising God, everything you see, as far as you can see and beyond God fills.

He is greater than any situation, problem, or puny devil. When we let God be magnified we stretch our understanding of him, and put him on his throne above everything.

The Latin origin of the word magni means great, and large. Fy means to make.

When he magnify The Lord we don’t literally make him bigger. We try and match our understanding of how big he actually is!

  7. God is htere for us when we need him, but we must trust him and obey his word. He can bring cinfusion to our enemies and cause them to fall into their own devices that were meant to harm us. We must keep the faith and believe that God is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him.

  8. 2 Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.+

  9. LET GOD BE MAGNIFIED

4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

Repeatedly throughout the Psalms we witness the pricipals of Prayer and Praise. They all include

    1. Vocal Profession – Prayer
    2. Demonstrations of Victory – Rejoicing
    3. Attiudes of Accomplishments – Gladness
    4. Confessions of Commitment – Reciprocation – Continuation

The NOW I Know factor is:

If we are IN Christ Jesus we will PRAY, we will REJOICE, we will be GLAD, and if we really LOVE HIS (JESUS) Salvation we will SAY continually, repeatedly, in every situation of every DAY.

    LET GOD BE MAGNIFIED

Not me, not mine, not my, BUT

    LET GOD BE MAGNIFIED

Whatever comes your way today, good, bad, ugly or indifferent; confess by REJOICING in a GLAD spirit:

    LET GOD BE MAGNIFIED

  10. Psalm 70:4

God’s deliverance of His servant will give joy to all who trust in the Lord, because they see in it the assurance of their own salvation.
Let God be magnified. Because His saving help is sure and effective

    The Message
Let those on the hunt for you sing and celebrate. Let all who love your saving way sayover and over, “God is mighty!”

  11. 5 But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; OLord, make no tarrying.

We need God like the song says:

    Right Now! Right Now!

Now is the time that we need to see Gods hand at work in us. Lets seek him and magnify him. He is drawn to our prayer and worship so if we want him now we have to do what brings him near. Pray! Worship!

  12. Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

This should be our attitude everyday so that there is an attraction of the love for God and the Kingdom of God that would be an example and light to those that don’t have a relationship with the Lord. I will rejoice and be glad, for this is the day that the Lord hath made!!!

  13. Let them be put to shame and confounded that seek and demand my life; let them be turned backward and brought to confusion and dishonor who desire and delight in my hurt. (Psalm 70:2 AMP)

Sometimes it’s hard to process that “The man after God’s own heart” ,”the Shepherd boy” David would have had “haters” but I read it chapter after chapter of God fighting each of his battles. Thank you Jesus for this timely message that the battle is not mine and it’s already won. There is Power in the Name of Jesus!

  14. 1 God! Please hurry to my rescue! God, come quickly to my side! 2 Those who are out to get me – let them fall all over themselves. Those who relish my downfall – send them down a blind alley. 3 Give them a taste of their own medicine, those gossips off clucking their tongues. 4 Let those on the hunt for you sing and celebrate. Let all who love your saving way say over and over, “God is mighty!” 5 But I’ve lost it. I’m wasted. God – quickly, quickly! Quick to my side, quick to my rescue! God, don’t lose a minute. MSG

Our God is an on time God. God is going to have our back if we are doing what we know to do is right in the sight of God. When people are talking about you or gossiping let them be, power and death are in the tongue so you wanna make sure that you don’t get caught up in their game of gossiping.

    He’s an on time God,
    Yes He is,
    He’s an on time God,
    Yes He is.
He may not come when you want Him,
But He’ll be there right on time.
    He’s an on time God,
    Yes He is.

  15. Why is patience a virtue? What is it about patience that is so hard to attain? We have all been presented with opportunities to be patient; and I believe if we are honest, we have all failed at some point or another.

WIKI describes patience as:” the state of endurance under difficult circumstances, which can mean persevering in the face of delay or provocation without acting on annoyance/anger in a negative way.”

“1 Make haste, o God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O Lord.” Over and over again he is asking the Lord to hurry and show up and show out. Sometimes the Lord will answer with “wait” or “no” in some cases. How strong are we in our ability to persevere until the Lord answers in “His” time?

  16. 70:4 But may all who seek you rejoice
    And be glad in you;
May those who love your salvation always say,
    “Let GOD be exalted!”
    —- like I always say:
I will praise The Lord at all times and his worship shall continually be in my mouth.!
    —- Yet I am poor and needy;
Come qui quickly to me, O GOD.
You are my help and my deliverer.
    O Lord do not delay.
( David knew who he had believed)
Let my prayers declare and affirm my faith in you-more and more O God, in Jesus name.AMEN!

  17. Prayer and praise…through our many of the psalms David faces a lot of different trials, his response however has been the same prayer and praise. His prayers are filled with praise in essence it’s like in every one of then he reaffirms God; I know in whom I trust. He always shows his personal intimate relationship with God. He makes Him, God, his own: My Strength, My Deliverer, My Health, My salvation, My Fortress and Strong Tower, My Provider, My Comforter.. The Lord, MY GOD.

4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

5 But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; OLord, make no tarrying.

Him, David, knowing who he is, the accomplishments and great things he has done so far, humbles himself and recognizes his need of the Lord, And crystal out to Him.
When we reach a state of growth it is very important to recognize how and who we are before the Lord; David said, I am poor and needy. Our help, salvation, deliverance, provision, blessings, everything comes from the Lord. David sinned and did crazy things, but I believe it was his attitude that kept him close to God. The attitudes the he has shown so far are humbleness, and lots of prayer and infinite praise!

  18. David is displaying his desperation to God. Surely he knows that he can’t hurry God but he wants to show Him how vulnerable he has become during his troubles. When the enemy comes in like a flood…when we call out He will deliver us at His perfect time.

    • Hagar was sent away with her son Ishmael from Abraham and Sarah and in their vulnerable state, “God heard the lad crying; and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven” (Gen 21:17) Moses was in a basket floating along the Nile (vulnerable too) God steped in and moved on the Egyptian princess “She opened it and saw the baby. He was crying, and she felt sorry for him. “This is one of the Hebrew babies,” she said “(Ex 2:6). Jesus was teaching at a synagoge and restored a mans withered hand but only after he exposed it ..”he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.” (Mar 3:5). They all were found in the most vulnerable of places in life, this is where God can best mold us, when we find humility and relying solely on our Mighty Creator who is bigger than any situation we may find ourselves in, when we are real about what is wrong with us, then we leave the door open for God help us when we call out to Him. Praise God for the miracle and blessings now in faith, and when they come to pass, and they will continually flow like the living water discribed in in John 4 by Jesus himself “13Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: 14But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” We will never thirst again spiritually if we continually draw water from the well of the holy ghost, just like the virgins, keeping our lamps filled with oil that can only come from the renewing power Holy Ghost.

  19. 4 Let all those that seek thee be glad and rejoice in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, let God be magnified.

we should want God to be magnified in everything that we do, say, and think. i once heard, to know God is to want to know God more. I never want to stop seeking his face, he means too much and has done too much for me to just be sad and forget about all that he as done for me. I am blessed and halelujah that i was saved by his grace. I will praise him forever.

  20. Vs.1, “Make haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O Lord.”

We all have at one time or another needed God to help us in a hurry. I’m just so thankful, when I need him, all I have to do is call out his name, JESUS, and he is there to help me in my time of need.

So, say the name of JESUS !

  21. NLT 3 Let them be horrified by their shame, for they said, “Aha! We’ve got him now!”

This chapter tells me, there are those looking for your weakness in God. They will be thrilled to call you a hypocrite, try to shame you and ridicule you. But we need to stand strong against the unrighteous, and show God is with us. In time, we all can give a testimony about what God has done in our lives!

  22. magnify the Lord and rejoice. we can truly rejoice when we make our request be known and hand it all over to the master of everything that is good.

  23. This chapter illustrates need. He was in despair and needed God (Jesus), yet he prayed for those that sought God. This is why one must repent and be full of the Holy Ghost as pastor teaches, for one never knows when one may have a need, especially a NOW need. May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  24. 4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

If we seek the Lord ,He can be found.Thank you Lord for my salvation.I will rejoice and be glad !!

  25. 5 But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; OLord, make no tarrying.

David knows God is his deliverer, he feels unworthy of Gods help because he is poor and needy.

What I see here is that David regardless of his situation he has faith and trusts God. He hurries the Lord to go and help him. He seeks God.

    Lord I seek you.

  26. 5 But I’ve lost it. I’m wasted. God – quickly, quickly! Quick to my side, quick to my rescue! God, don’t lose a minute.

Well, I’m waiting down here at the river
    Will you come, Lord Jesus
Satan don’t want me to cross,
No, Satan don’t want me to cross
I’m waiting down here at the river
    Will you come, Lord Jesus
If you don’t come to my rescue,
I’ll be lost, I’ll be lost.

Hear my prayer, oh Lord, Hear my prayer
I know you’ve heard me pray so many times before.
Well, I need you, and if you don’t come, I’ll perish
I’m waiting on you Lord right down here below…

  27. 1 Make haste, o God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O Lord.
4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

5 But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; OLord, make no tarrying.

    HALELUJAH !!!
    I seek THEE O LORD JESUS….
It would be GREAT if Everybody sought HIS FACE just as fast as we ask HIM TO COME AND RESCUE US in our time of need……. many a times because of disobedience, rebellion, men/ women being lovers of themselves or conforming unto this world. SANTO SANTO SANTO!!!
    Gracias Padre 🙂

  28. 4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

I will rejoice and be glad in the most High.

  29. v4 Let all those that sek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let GOD be magnified.

David had a full heart of praise and prayer.
No one is immune from troubles and sorrows
If we never had any troubles how would we know that GOD would deliver us and answer our prayers.
The afflictions we go through only proves to us and others of GOD’S promises of comfort and care in every situation.

    iPray
    iPraise
    i
GOD never fails to keep HIS word.

  30. Let God be magnified. Trusting, waiting, and be of good courage for Jesus has overcome this world. Fear Not…… Keep the Faith……..

    “Now”……….

  31. 1 Make haste, o God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O Lord.

God is my deliverer! He hears me when I call and answers my prayer. Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised.

So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. -Hebrews 13:6

  32. Praising For The Victory

2 Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.

3 Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha.

4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

    2 Chronicles 20:21-23
21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the Lord; for his mercy endureth for ever. 22 And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten. 23 For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.

    Psalms 22:3
But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

Praise confuses the enemy! Start with praise and magnify the Lord and watch Him come as a flood against the enemy. Instead of going along fearing the ambushment of the enemy, turn the tables on him and let the Lord set ambushments against him. There is victory in our praise, even before we reach the battle ourselves. When it seems we lack someone to watch our 6 in the battle, just lift up praise and the forces of the enemy will help to destroy one another.

    That’s a NOW Victory!

  33. Verse 5 CEV reads ” I am poor and needy, but you, the Lord God, care about me. You are the one who saves me. Please hurry and help!”

Many times we cry out and say “we need a miracle”; but, we have to profess our faith and be obedient in order to receive one. We may sometimes think that noone cares about what we are going through; but, God cares as verse 5 reminds us. Thank you Lord for caring about me.

  34. 4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

Those that are lost and are seeking will be found and praise him name. There is no reason we should not give more praise for there is another person we have saved into his kingdom.

  35. 4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee : and let such as love thy salvation say continually , Let God be magnified .
