Psalm 99

1 The Lord reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved.

The Lord is great in Zion; and he is high above all the people.

Let them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy.

The king’s strength also loveth judgment; thou dost establish equity, thou executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.

Exalt ye the Lord our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy.

Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the Lord, and he answered them.

He spake unto them in the cloudy pillar: they kept his testimonies, and the ordinance that he gave them.

Thou answeredst them, O Lord our God: thou wast a God that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions.

Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the Lord our God is holy.

…………the sins that I committed in the past have been forgiven!!! The enemy will try to use anything and everything to try and bring back the past . Sometimes he will use a family member or a loved one to bring to remembrance the past. If allowed (by us) the enemy will bring back the past and with it he we also bring doubt, bitterness, hate, division ………….DO NOT ALLOW THE enemy to bring condemnation upon!!! Ahhhh he is not a respector of persons!!! OOOOO BUT MY JESUS SHED HIS BLOOD ON THE CROSS FOR MY SINS!!! THE PEOPLE OF THIS DIEING WORLD ARE NOT EXEMPT FROM BEING FORGIVEN!!! (AS THEY MAY THINK and BELIEVE) This is the purpose for being the LIGHT IN this DARK and dieing world!!! The lost don’t know that they are lost!!! This is why WE are to be SET APART so that they may SEE and HEAR THE DIFFERENCE between the lost and the saved. LETS LIVE SET APART !!! OOOOO JESUS THANK YOU!!! I live You DADDY!!! Gracias SEÑOR!!! 2. The Lord is great in Zion, and He is high above all the peoples. Let them confess and praise Your great name, awesome and reverence inspiring! It is holy, and holy is He! Extol the Lord our God and worship at His footstool! Holy is He! Moses and Aaron were among His priests, and Samuel was among those who called upon His name; they called upon the Lord, and He answered them. He spoke to them in the pillar of cloud; they kept His testimonies and the statutes that He gave them. You answered them, O Lord our God; You were a forgiving God to them, although avenging their evildoing and wicked practices. Extol the Lord our God and worship at His holy hill, for the Lord our God is holy! (Psalm 99:2, 3, 5-9 AMP)
    You are a FORGIVING GOD!!!
I praise your Holy Name…. JESUS!!

  3. Praise & Exalt HIM for He is Holy… from the King to the peon, from the president to the homeless, no matter your title nor job. You must exalt His Holy Name. Never allowed the title of your position make you feel like you are above anything or anyone.

2 The Lord is great in Zion; and he is high above all the people.

3 Let them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy.

People may see this and say How can His Name be terrible? I think that is mostly related to the fact that you must Praise during all facets of your life the good and the bad. In the same way we must Praise our God the Redeemer & Our God the Avenger of the innocent.

  4. Psalm99:6 Moses and Aron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name, they called upon the LORD and he answered
    —————-
Are we thankful that we don’t have to go out there and walk and walk to a mountain so God can talk to us?
Even though there is people out here that would drive or even walk miles just to heat the truth oword of God.
But us we have the book! All those conversation God had with his people back the are recoded now days for us!!!
—— I am thankful today and always that GOd also hears me, I am THANGUL today that I can call upon the LORD and he is there……
    Thank you Abba!
    😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍I love you……
Thank you merciful GOD, in Jesus name, AMEN!

      • I can look at the clouds, and see your creation, I look at the mountains and see your creation, I hear thes right now and think about your creation, but…
I am able to hear from you, I am able to calm upon you right now, right here in my living room and I know that I know that your here…
        ( HOLY GHOST) THANful…..

  5. 3 Let them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy.

    Matthew 1:23 (KJV)
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

    Matthew 1:25 (KJV)
And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

Jesus is a great and terrible name. We know and call on the name for salvation, healing, deliverance, . . . Devils know the name and tremble. It is the only name by which you can be saved! JESUS!

  6. 1 The Lord reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved.

I am thankful we serve a God that speaks to us through our future, and his plan in our lives. He doesn’t deal with us based on who we were but who we can be!

He forgives, and molds us through his vision of us!

  7. 5 Exalt ye the Lord our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy.

9 Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the Lord our God is holy.

More Commands to worship God…it is a joy to obey these commands! He is Holy, He is Worthy!

  8. thank you Jesus for one more day that you have allowed me to see, to walk and to exalt your Holy Name. you were holy back then, your holy now and you will be holy tomorrow. i pray that when i am in the vally that you oh Lord will remind me to praise you anyway. i want to confuse the devil as much as possible. Holy Holy Holy, Thank you Jesus

  9. 8 Thou answeredst them, O Lord our God: thou wast a God that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions.

As the church we get to see as God answers our prayers. We get to rejoice with all of heaven as one sinner repents and is forgiven. We get to see those who try to scheme against us face His wrath, but we must also remember to pray for mercy, because we will want to see mercy when we too end up in a bad spot..

Over the past several years I have been able to see how others have done ill towards me, and I prayed that God would be merciful towards them, I have also gotten to see where because I prayed for mercy for them, He extended mercy toward me when I royally meesed up.

  10. Lord I thank you for being Holy, teach me your ways Lord my foot doesn’t slip but that I stay planted firm in you!!! You are GREAT and GREATLY to be praised!!!!

  11. HOLY, HOLY, HOLY…YOU ARE GOD ALMIGHTY!!!

TALKING TO THE GOD of the universe and praisrng Him, He does His Love in mighty ways to us.
He shows His Love to us daily.
    I LOVE YOU, JESUS!
JESUS~ YOU RIEGHN UPON YOUR THRONE!!!
    ISAIAH 66:1~
Thus saith the Lord. The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? And where is the place of my rest?

I will always have my heart for your rest Lord Jesus.
You waked me up to another day@that’s a blessing.
Thank you Jesus I wont take you for granted. People already do/did that.
There is and going to be a honesty and truth with me and Jesus my savior and redeemer.

    JESUS, IS NOW!

  12. THE LORD REIGNS

1 The Lord reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved.
2 The Lord is great in Zion; and he is high above all the people.
3 Let them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy.

REIGNETH – 4427. malak, maw-lak´; to reign; inceptively, to ascend the throne; causatively, to induct into royalty; hence (by implication) to take counsel:—consult, x indeed, be (make, set a, set up) king, be (make) queen, (begin to, make to) reign(-ing), rule, x surely.

We heard and read an illustrative example of this passage on Sunday Night in:

Isaiah 6:1 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.
2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.
3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.

This passage describes the atmosphere and the response of man and of GOD. THE LORD REIGNS in authority, however it is our responsibility to recognize HIS Majesty and Authority. When and as we recognize HIM as GOD we find HIS MERCY and FORGIVENESS of sins.

He will judge our sins and extend HIS hand of Mercy to those that will praise his name and worship HIM in HIS HOLY presence.

8 Thou answeredst them, O Lord our God: thou wast a God that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions.

Choose NOW to allow THE LORD to REIGN in your heart, mind, and soul.

  13. This chapter illustrates equality. One should willingly show reverence, and offer up repentance unto the Lord in this life (Now), for God (Jesus) will judge one and all; “But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons”. What a mighty God we serve! May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  14. ILove to eat the book

9 Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the Lord our God is holy.

There was a time to worship God at the Holy Hill…but Jesus said…”believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. (John 4:21 KJV)

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. (John 4:23 KJV)

Let us worship in spirit and truth!

  15. 1 The Lord reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved.

2 The Lord is great in Zion; and he is high above all the people.

3 Let them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy

The Lord is GREAT and greatly to be praised!!

  16. 8 Thou anseweredst them, O Lord ourGod: thou was a God that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of there inventions.

9 Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the Lord our God is holy.

God hears our prayers, he answers them and when we delight in him and we are faithful to him he gives us our hearts desires. Thank the Lord for his forgiveness and for being my rock. I will praise him because he brought me out, I will worship him because he saved me, because he kept me, because he loves me and because he is greater than me and I love to worship him for all he is and all he’s done

  17. 3 let them praise thy great and terrible name for it is holy.

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11

There is great amazing incomparable power at the mention of His great and mighty name Jesus. Every time we come together one accord and mention His name, lift up His name something in the atomsphere begins to happen, His glory begins to in habit the place. When we sing the fight song titled “Break every chain” it’s main words which are very powerful words are: “There is power in the Name of JESUS” over and over exalting that name God begins to move and show Himself great and mighty, bringing deliverance, breaking yokes, forginving the repented heart, healing wounds, doing miracles before our very eyes..! How could we not praise the mighty and terrible name of the Lord for there is power in the name of JESUS!!!

  18. 6 Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the Lord, and he answered them.
7 He spake unto them in the cloudy pillar: they kept his testimonies, and the ordinance that he gave them.
8 Thou answeredst them, O Lord our God: thou wast a God that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions.

So I have heard that it’s crazy to think that the man of God can hear the voice of Him. Well heres the proof for all you unbelievers. Tell me then who did Moses call on then the children of Isreal came to the red sea and who parted the waters? And who did Samuel hear when he was sleeping? As it has been said in the past , when you pray wait for an answer. God does hear you and he will respond, weither its with his Word, or Man of God. I am very thankful for Pastor Watts, who does seek and listen for the voice of God and his seeks his ways

  19. Psalm 99:3 Let them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy.

    Terrible:

h3372. ירא yare’; a primitive root; to fear; morally, to revere; caus. to frighten:— affright, be (make) afraid, dread (- ful), (put in) fear (- ful,- fully,- ing), (be had in) reverence (- end), x see, terrible (act,- ness, thing).
    AV (314)- fear 188, afraid 78, terrible 23, terrible thing 6, dreadful 5, reverence 3, fearful 2, terrible acts 1, misc 8;
to fear, revere, be afraid ( Qal) to fear, be afraid to stand in awe of, be awed to fear, reverence, honour, respect ( Niphal) to be fearful, be dreadful, be feared to cause astonishment and awe, be held in awe to inspire reverence or godly fear or awe ( Piel) to make afraid, terrify ( TWOT) to shoot, pour

The word for terrible in hebrew is the same word used in:

    Leviticus 19:30
30 Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary:I am the Lord

For reverence. Every person who claims to be a Christian knows that we should honor, respect, or fear, God above all else but so many shrug off the church. The church is the house of God! God wants us to uphold his sanctuary the same as we uphold him. The church is not God but it is the place where he speaks to his people.

Jesus himself showed his displeasure at people who took advantage of the house of God.

    John 2:14-15
    And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting: And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers ‘money, and overthrew the tables;

We should uphold the house of God for our spiritual benefit as well
    Hebrews 10:24-25
And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another:and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

It’s hard to build up each other in Christ if we are never gathered together.

So we should reverence and fear God and the things of God including his house. Get to the house of God!

  20. 2 The Lord is great in Zion; and he is high above all the people.

5 Exalt ye the Lord our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy.

9 Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the Lord our God is holy.

  21. Exalt ye the Lord our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy.

Isaiah 66:1 Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?

Worshiping God in His house on Sundays and
Wednesday is the least one can do. We are to
He desires us to worship while we are on the earth it doesnt matter where we are we are to be worshipers.

  22. THE Lord reigns, let the peoples tremble [with reverential fear]! He sits [enthroned] above the cherubim, let the earth quake! (Psalm 99:1 AMP)

Lord, my prayer is that your throne would be established upon POFW. That your glory cloud would meet us every service.

When the priests came out of the Holy Place, a thick cloud filled the Temple of the Lord. The priests could not continue their service because of the cloud, for the glorious presence of the Lord filled the Temple. (1 Kings 8:10, 11 NLT)

  23. 1 The Lord reigns, let the peoples tremble [with reverential fear]! He sits [enthroned] above the cherubim, let the earth quake!
2 The Lord is great in Zion, and He is high above all the peoples.
3 Let them confess and praise Your great name, awesome and reverence inspiring! It is holy, and holy is He! -(AMP)

  24. what a mighty God we serve. When things go wrong I’m thankful that I have a God to turn to and he is there to help me in my time of need.

  25. In this scripture, it is clear God answers his great men ; servants, and forgavest.

    “Now”………………

  26. I thank God for mercy, he is my avenger. I used to hold back so much and hold grudges on my brothers and sisters for all the wrong they have done to me and my family. I now give it to God. I don’t worry about what anyone thinks of me. I pray for them NOW. I trust God to guide me and lead me in making the right choices, I seek him for he strengthens me when I’m weak. I give him total access to my life.

Lord have mercy on every lost soul and lead them to you.

  27. 9 Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the Lord our God is holy.

Worship takes us to places in The Lord that allows us to see him in a new dimension. I believe that we are walking in a dimension of the miracles. Lord help me to see through the eyes of the Holy Spirit.

  28. The Lord reigneth, let the people tremble (with Godly reference and fear because He is a holy, righteous God who executeth judgement upon those who do not follow His commandments, and take His counsel wisely.

The benefits of this reference is God speaks to man, and when man speaks to God, He answers him, forgives him, and then intervenes for them.

  29. v6 Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; and he answered them.

So thankful that HIS children are among them that call upon HIS GREAT NAME
    JESUS! and HE answers us.

  30. 1 The Lord reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved.

We always ask God to move but he should make us move. He is always available for
    The miraculous. We are not
Always in the position to receive the miraculous. He never changes but through repentance we can change this being moved closer to him.
It was his intent by giving us power of choice that we move to him.
True love doesn’t wait for the other one to move. They just move. If we want to see the hand of God we have to make the first move. Let the people tremble(first) he sits between the cherubims ( he’s always where we can find him) let the earth be moved (when we are trembled and in his presence the earth will move).

I thought I posted this this morning. I apologize to my fellow bloggers.

  31. Psalm 99:8-9
The justice and righteousness of God’s rule in Israel (see v.4) have been especally shown in the manner in which He has dealt with their sins.
    Exodus 34:6-7
And the Lord passed by before
him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, Keeping mercy for thousands and sin , and that will by no means clear the guilty: visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

  32. Strong King, lover of justice, You laid things out fair and square; You set down the foundations in Jacob, Foundation stones of just and right ways. Honor God, our God; worship his rule! Holy. Yes, holy. (Psalm 99:4, 5 MSG)

He’s setting the pathway, now we must honor it with praise and worship

  33. 4 The king’s strength also loveth judgment; thou dost establish equity, thou executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.

9 Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the Lord our God is holy.

Exalting God means allowed His righteous order to be established in our lives. It’s not enough to do the talk and the walk but our hearts must be right as well. “Thou executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob;” it says *in* Jacob:

    Romans 12:1-2
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

    Philippians 2:12-13
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

    John 14:15-18
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. 18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

When we let God work in us and change us from the inside out, our lives can exalt Him more and more. Jesus is our yoke-mate in the way of salvation and working of righteousness; He says “take my yoke” and empowers us through the infilling of His Spirit to enter in to sharing the yoke with Him. When the yoking transforms us, we see what John the Baptist described:

    John 3:30
He must increase, but I must decrease.

Will we choose to exalt God and worship Him? We must let God work in us, our relationship with Him should never be stagnant.

    NOW Decrease
    NOW Worship

  34. 5 Exalt ye the Lord our God, and worship at his footstool ; for he is holy. 9 Exalt the Lord our god, and worship at his holy hill; for the Lord our God is holy.

  35. This unnamed psalmist speaks of worshipping at God’s footstool/ King David had wanted to build a temple that would house the ark of the covennant, which represents the presence and glory of the Lord. David refered to the ark symbolicly as God’s footstool. In 1Ch 28:2 Since ancient times, the footstool has represented power and dominion. In Isaiah 66:1 and Matthew 5:34-35, the earth is discribed as God’s footstool, and heaven represents His throne. In Psalm 110:1 and several NT verses the Messiah’s enemies become His footstool, the place where God’s presence rests, and therefore a fitting place to worship him (vs5). Scripture also refers to the king’s enemies as his footstool, implying that he would trample them under foot in conquest (Heb 10:13). We give glory an honor to the Lord by recognizing his authority over all and bowing in reverent worship at his footstool.

  36. Verse 3 CEV reads “Only you are God! And your power alone, so great and fearsome, is worthy of praise.”

1 Chronicles 16:23-27 MSG read “Sing to God, everyone and everything! Get out his salvation news every day! Publish his glory among the godless nations, his wonders to all races and religions. And why? Because God is great—well worth praising! No god or goddess comes close in honor. All the popular gods are stuff and nonsense, but God made the cosmos! Splendor and majesty flow out of him, strength and joy fill his place.”
