Psalm 103

1 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.

He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.

The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.

10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.

14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

15 As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

16 For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.

17 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children;

18 To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.

19 The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.

20 Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

21 Bless ye the Lord, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.

22 Bless the Lord, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the Lord, O my soul.

  1. This scripture does not day bless The Lord and he will lavish you with riches, or bless The Lord and he will owe us a blessing.

    He declares bless The Lord for who he is! The only reason why we need to bless The Lord is because he is worthy of all praise, blessing, adoration, and worship!

    He is worthy. He is the savior, provider, protector. He sees our fragile quickly passing lives and cares about us.

    Bless The Lord!

  2. These scriptures tells us of God’s mercy and grace, and anger. This also lets us know God will always be with us and bless us if we do his will!

    14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

    15 As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

    16 For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.

    God lets us know this life is as grass, fleeting. We should make the most of our time to work for God while we can. We need to bless his holy name!!

  3. The Lord deserves our praise not matter what, but we should never forget his grace, mercy and blessings upon our lives and praise him each day for everything.

  4. 1 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

    2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

    3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

    22 Bless the Lord, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the Lord, O my soul.

    We are reminded of the goodness of the Lord everything He has done and continues to do for us. How He extends His mercy to those that fear Him. We are encouraged/motivated/commanded to bless the Lord. He has done great things for us. Sometimes we get stuck on the current “situation” and forget all the other things He has already performed out of love for us. Let’s not forget all the benefits. Let’s be thankful. It is our attitudes that He looks at, our hearts that He searches, and tries our thoughts. Will we come with an attitude of gratitude expecting that He will do even greater things. Will we be joyful and faithful Now on the little things that He can entrust us with the greater. Sometimes He wants us to learn something, like perhaps teach us to be happy and satisfied in Him with what we have. He will bless, but what are we doing with the small blessings of right now? Are we giving Him honor and glory and thanking and blessing His name, or are we complaining cause we just want more and more… Let’s remember that we must be faithful over the small things. Let’s bless Hik now, for He already has done great and mighty things and be expectant of the tremendous mightier things He will do

  5. For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust. As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. (Psalms 103:14-16 KJV)
    So true, something that we need to remember that we are nothing but dust, he is the one that molds us into the person that we are. But today where is the reverence for The Almighty GOD? We are clay in His hand, God is not clay in our hands and to think that we can mold him as to our fleshly desires!!! God is GREAT, and I will bless the LORD at all times and BLESS HIS HOLY NAME!!

  6. Mi alma alaba al Señor y mi espiritu se alegra en su presencia, porque EL que es grande maravillas a hecho en mi, es SANTO SU NOMBRE.
    Bless the Lord Oh my soul and all that is within me bless HIS HOLY NAME… JESUS is the Lord I serve.

    • Wonderful works has He done, forgiveness I did not deserved but He gave it without limits… Love, what greater love can anyone have HE gave His Life for mine…Everything He created, everything He has given, everything He has planned for me… He does everything for us, it is time we do something and give to HIM.

  7. 2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
    3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
    4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
    5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

    God is soooooo good! He saved me. He loved me when I was unloveable. When I was at my worst, filthy with sin, He reached down into the muck and the mire to pull me out. Thank you Jesus!!

  8. THE OUTCAST REFUSES TO PRAISE HIM

    1 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

    Along with the psalmist, I could list multiple reasons and opportunities to “Bless the LORD”.

    BLESS -1288. barak, baw-rak´; to kneel; by implication to bless God (as an act of adoration):—x abundantly, x altogether, x at all, blaspheme, bless, congratulate, curse, x greatly, x indeed, kneel (down), praise, salute, x still, thank.

    Our mindset and thought patterns establish our destiny in HIM. As we serve the LORD we look for opportunities and reasons to BLESS the LORD. Opportunities to THANK the LORD, ADORE the LORD, HONOR the LORD, SERVE the LORD.

    Too often deception, doubt, fear or pride obstruct our view of WHO HE IS. This is why it is so important to BLESS the LORD at ALL times and allow HIS Praise to be continually in my mouth. (Ps 34:1)

    How to BLESS the LORD

    O my SOUL – My appetite, my heart, my mind, my breath.

    ALL that is within me – my inward feelings, nothing hidden.

    Half hearted praise is not respected by the LORD, see (Genesis 4:5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.)

    BLESS the LORD with nothing hidden; no hidden sin, no hidden hatred, no hidden grudges.

    His GRACE and MERCY are REASON enough to BLESS the LORD!

    BLESS the LORD for BAPTISM in JESUS NAME!

    12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

    Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

    BLESS the LORD

    WHO –
    20 Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
    21 Bless ye the Lord, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.
    22 Bless the Lord, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the Lord, O my soul.

  9. 8 The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy
    Thankful that we serve a merciful God!!

    15 As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

    16 For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.

    This life is short,we must work for God while we can.NOW is the time to win souls!!!

    • ILove to eat the word

      FORGET NOT HIS BENEFITS

      The benefits of The Lord are for our purpose. It’s Gods will for us to be healed, in fact it’s a promised benefit!

      Why don’t everyone receive their healing? God is not a respecter of persons. What one person receives is what another receives.

      The truth is that we all work for King Jesus. He has certain benefits for us all! It’s not Gods fault if one employee asks for a promised benefit and goes through the process of getting it and the other does not.

      GET YOUR PROMISE TODAY

  10. HALELUJAH!!! HALELUJAH!!! HALELUJAH!!!

    12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
    THANK YOU JESUS!!! THANK YOU JESUS!! HALELUJAH!! GRACIAS PADRE!!! OOOOOOO LORD THANK YOU MY JESUS!!! FOR ONLY YOU ARE ABLE!!! I LOVE YOU DADDY!!!

  11. The prerequisite to the blessing

    17 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children;
    18 To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.

    There is a way to live a life full of blessing. We have to only fulfill his requirements. No one is perfect but he wants to see us do everything we can and give it our all to please him. We are building a resume to the kingdom. His pardons and mercy are forever, thank you Jesus, but we can’t depend or lean on them. I’m sure he knows when we are taking advantage of his grace. Holiness and repentance are hand and hand in earning a spot in his kingdom. I’m so glad to serve the one true God that is fair and just. He is faithful and true everyday. Lets go do his will today and seek and save which is lost.
    Amen

  12. Ahhh . . . Outreach!!!!!!!
    This so reminds me of Mrs. Delta at Mimi’s Cafe. She is a wonderful waitress that is kind and took care of some of our PoFW friends late night. She can quote this scripture. It is her favorite. She has recited it to us on a couple of different occasions. She told me one time that she would enjoy coming to the church, but she takes care of her older mother.
    God bless Delta. Lord let her be encouraged. Lord let the joy of The Lord overtake her today and give her strength! Jesus bless Delta and draw her closer to you NOW! Jesus name-AMEN!

  13. v. 13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.

    As parents we can relate to this verse in the parenthood spirit. When my girls are going thru something then as a mom I feel their pain. We as parents can sense when our children are burdened down and that is just the Lord when his people are burdened down with excessive luggage he is there to help us. We have to give it to the Lord and he will work on our behalf.

  14. 17 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children;
    18 To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.

    The blessing of keeping a commandment. There are many things that can be said about blessings. One of the greatest , I believe, is the blessing of obedience. I can say from personal experience the many blessings that God has allowed in my life from obeying.

  15. Vs. 11, “For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.”
    Vs. 12, “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.”

    These two scriptures made me think of the old time Sunday School song, “Deep and Wide.”

    God’s Mercy is very deep, and His Forgiveness is very wide.

  16. Bless the Lord oh my soul!!! I’m so thankful God is so rich in mercy… Thank you Lord for EVERYTHING I will continually bless your name!!

  17. This chapter illustrates all. One should strive to give all too God (Jesus), for without question he hath given all; “Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord”. What a mighty God we serve! May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  18. NlT 2 Let all that I am praise the LORD; 2 may I never forget the good things he does for me.
    Lord you are my provider and meet all my needs, thank you Lord.

  19. 17 But the mercy and loving-kindness of the Lord are from everlasting to everlasting upon those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him, and His righteousness is to children’s children —
    18 To such as keep His covenant [hearing, receiving, loving, and obeying it] and to those who [earnestly] remember His commandments to do them [imprinting them on their hearts].
    19 The Lord has established His throne in the heavens, and His kingdom rules over all.
    20 Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, you His angels, you mighty ones who do His commandments, hearkening to the voice of His word. -(AMP)

  20. Psalm 103
    MY favorite chapter out of this hole book!!!!
    103:1Bless the LORD O my soul: and all that iis within me, bless his holy name .
    103:19 the LORD has prepare his throne in the heavens; and his kingdoms ruleth over all.

    I love you my Abba!!!!! This chapter expresses on how good GOD has been to us. There is no god like our GOD🎶🎶
    There is no king like our king!!🎶
    🎶🎶🎶🎶…….

  21. 13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.

    14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

    He fathered us in creation, he knows our frailties and yet he still loves us

  22. v3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who health all thy diseases;
    Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

    Thank you LORD for your forgiveness and mercy, your GRACE has made it available .
    GOD’s LOVE overcame all cruelty and betrayal at Calvary .
    GOD does not bless us because we deserve it, but HE shows us HIS LOVE even when we don’t deserve it.
    The” goodness of GOD leadeth thee to repentance.” Romans 2:4

    HIS GREAT LOVE CONQUERS ALL!

    iPray
    iRepent
    iBless HIS HOLY NAME
    NOW

  23. 1 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

    2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

    3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

    4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

    5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

    THese first few verses are beautiful I am so thankful for Gods mercies in my life they are new every morning. Verse 2 reminds me of another scripture in the bible that talks about God “Daily loading us with benifits”

  24. Bless – Exalt, Hallow, Glorify, Magnify, Beautify the Lord Oh My Soul… and all that is within me. There are many benefits that come from blessing the Lord. Forgiveness, Redemption, satisfying and renewal.

  25. 14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

    But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. -Job 23:10

    The Lord knows everything about me. There is nothing hid from him.

  26. Psalm 103:6
    Have Compassion
    When God sees something wrong,or someone being mistreated , he works to set things right.He takes care of people who are being picked on, or who are treated unfairly or unkindly .This is good to remember when things aren’t going our way. God always cares. Every single time.We can too.

  27. Sing!

    1 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

    2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

    Who is Jesus to you today? He is always the same, but just as we have opportunities to see different aspects of Him, so can we be used to show different aspects of Him to others.

    What song do you have today? Did the hurting see the Healer, did the restless see the Peacemaker, did the jaded see the King of glory, did the lost see the Shepherd, did the sinner see the Savior? We don’t encounter people by accident, we must be ready to be Jesus to any- and everybody we meet. You never know just who you might meet who needs to hear the song you sing of Jesus.

    Psalms 105:1-2
    1 O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. 2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.

  28. If anyone loves and cares for us is God. God’s mercy is forever, his blood washes us clean as snow. My father in heaven is to whom I look forward to every single day of my life. I lift and bless your Holy name Lord. It is you Lord to whom I call up in times of need and help. All I have to do is ask you humbly to have access to my life and lead me and use me to do your will. It’s you Lord to whom I worship and praise.

    The King of Kings and Lord of Lords is my healer and deliverer, to whom I love with all of my heart and soul. He is my strengh and whom I have faith and trust in . I give him the glory and thank him each day for all he does for me and what he continues to do in my life. I bless you Lord. May all the lost souls receive you and worship you and know that you are God.

  29. 15 as for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he florisheth
    16. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall no it no more.
    17 but the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children

    We will soon pass, our troubles will surly pass, our friends, our family….. They will pass too. The only eternal one is Jesus Christ. So why not focus on the only relationship that will truly last forever?! In the end our relationship with HIM is all that truly matters.. HALLELUJAH TAKE THIS WORLD AND GIVE ME JESUS!!

  30. 21 Bless ye the Lord, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.

    Bless Him, Praise Him, Glorify Him…He deserves everything for all that He has done!!!!

  31. The wonderful grace of God could not be more beautifully described than it is here in this chapter. As sinners we canse him pain, yet he responds to us so entirely unlikely how we are inclined to respond to those who hurt us. When someone treats us badly, we feel justified in treating them badly in return. The carnal mind may think “They deserve it” ..but we too deserve God’s wrath, but he gives us his compasion andabundant love instead. He treats us the the very opposite way of how we deserve to be treated. In Ro 12:9-21 the aposlte Paul gives us a tall order of how this kind of God-like, “sincere” love should be lived out in our human relationships. We can learn from us to aim to love others the way God loves us.

    John 1334 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

    Eph 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

  32. Verses 1-2 MSG read “O my soul, bless God. From head to toe, I’ll bless his holy name! O my soul, bless God, don’t forget a single blessing!”

    He forgives, he heals, he redeems, he crowns, he wraps, and he renews. He doesn’t endlessly nag and scold, nor hold grudges, he doesn’t treat us as our sins deserve, nor pay us back in full for our wrongs; but, he keeps in mind that we’re made of mud. Thank you Jesus.

  33. Forget not his benefits…..who forgives our iniquities, and whom healed all our diseases.

    That alone is benefit enough! “Foregiveness with healing”…….

    “Now”………
