Psalm 133

1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

  3. What a wonderful day it is…

1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
    2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

This is a wonderful meaning because we know that we have a wonderful family in Christ’s Holy Name at church. They are faithful and are with you through this journey through “life”. They will laugh with you and cry with you~ why?Because the pofw loves you, me.
This is very nice and Holy experience. I’m glad that God put this passage in His Word for us to see and understand His love for us.
    Thank you Jesus.

  4. Unity

When I think of unity, I think of a well oiled machine, with all of its working parts, that fit together perfectly. When the machine works together it will produce a useful product, but should it ever wear out or one part refuse to work, then it will either stop producing or the product will be deformed or warped. As the church body, we want to be fruitful in the Spirit and multiply. To do this effectively and to produce a healthy fruit we must have unity. Unity requires communication, collaboration, and delegation or assignment of duties. We are all important in the Kingdom of God.

  5. Get on line so you won’t miss the flow…

Aline yourselves with the head of the church for the anointing flows down hill and you don’t want to miss out. Unity doesn’t only give power, but it allow us to move in the anointing, it allow us reach a common goal. There is an old phrase “divide & conquer”, it has been around for a long time, the enemy knows that phrase and tries to do it for it makes his job easier. It is by gossip, murmuring, and anger that he tries to divide; but GOD says John 13:35 “By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another. Col. 3:14 Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.

Jesus wants our unity that He gives us one common thing to believe in Eph. 4:5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism.

Love in Unity, stay in Unity, and the flow of His anointing will not stop.

  6. 1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

When we unit, chains break, strong holds are bound, and cursed are released. When we unite, we catch God’s attention, and blessings are loosed, captives are freed, souls are delivered, and miracles happen. God will do more with a united church than a divided one repeatedly.

  7. Ephesians 4:1-3, 13 (KJV)
I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
    [2] With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
[3] Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
[13]Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

    Unity 03162
    יַחַד yachad
    yakh’-ad
    from (03161)
from ; properly, a unit, i.e. (adverb) unitedly:–alike, at all (once), both, likewise, only, (al-)together, withal.
    n m
    union, unitedness adv
    together, altogether, all together, alike

To truely be in unity with the pastor, we must become like the pastor. We must see the vision through his eyes, worship like he worships, speak as he speaks, pray like he prays, and want to win souls as he wants to win souls.

We all say we want unity because it is a buzz word, BUT ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS.

True unity is connection with the body. If the pastor is at outreach, where is the body that is in unity? If the pastor is at prayer, where is the body who is in unity? If the pastor sweats his suit out in worship, where is the body that is in unity?

WHEN WE ENTER TRUE UNITY, that’s when the anointing will really flow, until then, there will only be a false sense of unity.

Paul said “follow me as I follow Christ.”
I say “follow pastor as he follows Christ.”

Doing this will not fill him with pride, but will humble him and propell him into a deeper relationship with Jesus.

Catch the vision… Step up. Unify.

  9. Unity is connected to anointing. The power of God flows down through submission, and oneness. Division is destructive. The enemy wants to try and divide the church while keeping his minions, and those who serve him in unity.

The world system has its own uniform. The culture, trends, lifestyle, music, and habits reflect the god they serve. While they scream at us for conforming they are fashioned into a mold after the pattern of this world. Their perceived freedom is really a painted jail-cell.

The Lord commands that we come out and be separate from the world system. This means our culture, trends, lifestyle, music, and habits reflect the God we serve.

A unified church is a complete body. A fully functioning vehicle to reach a city in need. God has given us the talent, resources, and gifting we need throughout the body. As we submit to the headship God will bless, and souls will be saved!

  10. 1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

O how we must continue to strive to reach one body, one mind, one spirit.

  11. 1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

    Unity is essential!

Unity was in the upper room. Unity is here and now. Unity means that we don’t point out flaw or drag up pasts. It means we work together and forgive. No matter what is said who how bad you wanted something different to happen. If you wanted to make ballon animals but you were told to do crowd control, you just work happily! You do outreach on a new day and time. You let the stones of yesterday show what you have come out of, but you don’t pick them up again.

  12. HALELUJAH!!! HALELUJAH!!! HALELUJAH!!!
1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
YES!!! THERE IS POWER IN UNITY!!!
    John 17:20-23 KJV
20 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will[a] believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
YES !!! THERE IS POWER IN UNITY!!!
HALELUJAH!!! HALELUJAH !!! HALELUJAH !!! THANK YOU JESUS!!! I LOVE YOU JESUS!!! TU ERES FIEL!!!

  13. THE EXPONENTIAL FLOW OF UNITY

1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
    2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

UNITY connects the participants to the TOP. The HEAD is the TOP of the body, as we understand the FLOW of oil, that it like any other substance begins at the highest point and seeks the lowest point possible to connect everything on its journey down to the source. Meaning, regardless of how low we may be either by situation or position we are still connected to the TOP and all the resources all the way to the TOP are available to the entire UNIFIED body.

It is GOOD, it is PLEASANT to LIVE in UNITY!

EXPONENTIAL – expressible or approximately expressible by an exponential function; especially : characterized by or being an extremely rapid increase (as in size or extent)

In UNITY is GROWTH and GOD ordained and favored GROWTH. People and resources come from places we never labored.

Submission to the TOP or HEAD is the Key to UNITY. Get in the FLOW.

    iSubmit

    NOW

    • Amen! Pastor just help me up, he said submition to the head(which is Christ )
And GOD is love, so if I submit to him I automatically am in him, and him in me=
      UNITY.

  14. Unity brings precious ointment.

Precious defined means of great value; not to be wasted.

Once there is unity there will be a flow of great value ointment that is not to be wasted!

    Praise God!

  15. When a man and wife, a family, a CHURCH, and a country are in unity it is a powerful force to go against any adversary. Unity is a key element to any successful endeavour.

  16. 1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

What is unity? Unity is a positive, practical, progressive approach to Christianity based on the teachings of Jesus and the power of prayer. Unity honors the universal truths in all religions and respects each individual’s right to choose a spiritual path.

“Do two walk together, unless they have agreed to meet? Amos 3:3
If we are gossiping, treating others badly, then how are we walking together? Doing these things we cause division in the body.
Let’s love one another and be there for one another and lift each other up and pray for one another. If we all did this instead of tearing someone down just think how much unity we would get in the church. I pray that I am never a stubbling block to anyone around me. We never know who’s watching us.

  17. 1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

    2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

You lead I follow… Unity is submission
Unity. To have it, requires humbleness, and submission. Try for example a three-legged race, or a marriage. We all have a mind of our own and want to do and go our own ways, but to have true unity we must be in agreement. Although we must recognize who is lead. God is the ultimate leader. God leads our man of God, Pastor, pastor leads the congregation, the congregation their families and we go in one direction. To be able to move forward, to stand against the adversary and let the flow of the Spirty do that exactly, “flow” we must be unified. This requires first humbleness..surrender, submission, obedience and trust. The flow of oil goes from the top to the bottom. The church is like a hospital and a factory of hope for the lost and the broken. Let’s get in the assembly line of Light. You lead I follow. Let’s all go to the promise land

  18. This chapter illustrates harmony. A comparison of unity was described. One should strive to be in unity with the Word of God, as well as with his people. What a mighty God we serve! May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  19. Psalm133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasent it is for breathern to dwel together in unity.
    —- LOVE; pure,sincere honest love(in Christ) for one another, I would say….
In unity, having the desire to help each other, to encourage each other,to be a blessing for each other and others…..
No murmures,no grudges,no false testimonies..to talking behind each others back, but rather be conquer evil with good in unity, in LOVE.
Can’t explain it yet, but unity has to do with LOVE….
133:3 ……….for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life forevermore .
    That is it!!!!!!
    THE BLESSING……
IF, there is UNITY.together as a body of Christ.
    ——
Thankful for being part of the body of Christ.
Thankful for the fellowship last night.
Thankful for GOD’s mercy fresh yesterday and fresh today!!!!thankful for the word of hope, which is JESUS the hope of glory.

  20. v 1 – 2 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.
    It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

This reminded me of the woman who broke the alabaster box . This precious oil perfume filled the room and it was a sweet
smell unto to the LORD The LORD loves unity in HIS people, so let’s spread the sweet fragrance of unity everywhere we go.
    iLove Unity

  21. How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony! (Psalms 133:1 NLT)

Harmony is as refreshing as the dew from Mount Hermon that falls on the mountains of Zion. And there the Lord has pronounced his blessing, even life everlasting. (Psalms 133:3 NLT)

We all need to able to work together otherwise there will be angry, sadness, confusion and so much more..so being in harmony not only helps us as people, but as well in the spirit.

  22. How wonderful, how beautiful, when brothers and sisters get along! It’s like costly anointing oil flowing down head and beard, Flowing down Aaron’s beard, flowing down the collar of his priestly robes. It’s like the dew on Mount Hermon flowing down the slopes of Zion. Yes, that’s where God commands the blessing, ordains eternal life. (Psalm 133:1-3)

  23. I am Pentecostal. As a young minister once said, “We are Pentecostal, and we love to eat!” Eating together is just one way to have fellowship. We must have unity and one way to find that common thread is to be with one another and learn from each other. Just as bees and flowers, without one you can’t have the other. The bees polinate while the flowers give necture. We can not be so disconnected that then the enemy can connect to us. When we have more connections with those in the church we will then be stronger together. A three cord cannot be easily broken. Together let us have unity and stand strong together!

  24. 1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

You have to have unity to be sucessful,in a church,a marriage,a family, even a friendship. If someone is always pulling in a different direction than everyone else, there will always be friction in that relationship, wheather it is spiritual or in our personal lives.

Mark 3:25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
    Let’s stand together in UNITY!!!

  25. Vs. 1, “BEHOLD, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

Unity means the state of being one; oneness.

Paul wrote in Phil. 1:27, “Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel.”

  26. True anointing flows into our lives, when we are fully submitted to the Lord, and those that God has placed in authority over our lives. This produces a spirit of unity for us to walk/dwell in. Being of “one mind”, “one vision” and “one purpose” all going in “one direction” for the Kingdom is what God has called each of to achieve in our lives.

  27. Verse 1 NIV “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” A unified body is a complete and unstoppable one.

  28. 1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

“The reason why the world lacks unity is broken and in heaps; is because man is disunified within himself” – Ralph Emmerson

When discord and disunity arises in the church the first place to evaluate is our own hearts, marriage, and homes.

  29. The Lord commanded the blessing of UNITY! Lord I honor your command, use me to do your Holy will. Guide me Lord for I submit to you now and forever.

  30. The devil can’t stop a united, Holy Ghost filled church. It is when we unite that the power of the Holy Ghost is displayed. Let us protect our unity and fight for our brethren instead of against them. In Jesus Name

  31. And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. -Ecclesiastes 4:12

    Unity is a powerful thing.

And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. -Genesis 11:6

  32. 3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

The Lord is mighty to save, mighty to bless.

    John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

God is well able to bless, are we positioned to receive it? There was an order and process involved in the dew running down the mountains, but just because there’s a process doesn’t mean God is weak or unable to bless. We must remain humble and submitted, and in our set position we will stand in the place where our blessing will meet us.

    Genesis 18:14
Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

The blessing came to Abraham and Sarah on God’s time table, He appointed the time, but He also worked by a process. It would be tragic to abort a blessing before it can be delivered, just because we wouldn’t endure what lead up to it.

  33. (Psalm 133:1-3 MSG)

Don’t ask why… Know that He is God and that when we gather together in one min in one accord… If God is for us who can be against us. I want the anointing to fall down on POFW

  34. It is like the dew of [lofty] Mount Hermon and the dew that comes on the hills of Zion; for there the Lord has commanded the blessing, even life forevermore [upon the high and the lowly]. (Psalm 133:3 AMP)

Power and anointing can only flow thought unity. As soon as the unity is broke it stops the flow of the anointing. The power of ONE!!

In light of all this, here’s what I want you to do. While I’m locked up here, a prisoner for the Master, I want you to get out there and walk—better yet, run!—on the road God called you to travel. I don’t want any of you sitting around on your hands. I don’t want anyone strolling off, down some path that goes nowhere. And mark that you do this with humility and discipline—not in fits and starts, but steadily, pouring yourselves out for each other in acts of love, alert at noticing differences and quick at mending fences. You were all called to travel on the same road and in the same direction, so stay together, both outwardly and inwardly. You have one Master, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who rules over all, works through all, and is present in all. Everything you are and think and do is permeated with Oneness. (Ephesians 4:1-6 MSG)

  35. It is a good thing to dwell together in unity. The word of God calls us to be one. Any other vision than the one God has given to the pastor is division.

  36. We have all experienced the sense of rightness and pleasure that results from getting along with others- as well as the anxiety and friction that knots up our stomachs when we’re at odds with others. Not only do we enjoy peace of mind when we live in harmony with fellow believers, but we also make a statement to the world around us. Jesus’ new commandment is that we love one another as he loves us, so that everyone who observes our loving interaction with each other will know that we belong to Christ Jesus (Jn 13:34-35). We will not always agree with each other on everything, but we are exhorted by Jesus and the apostles to “make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” (Eph 4:3). We may have our differences, but our common purpose and destiny unites our hearts: “4There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; 5one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” (Eph 4:4-6)

“Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.” (Php 2:2)
