Proverbs 12

1 Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.

A good man obtaineth favour of the Lord: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.

A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.

A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.

The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceit.

The words of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.

The wicked are overthrown, and are not: but the house of the righteous shall stand.

A man shall be commended according to his wisdom: but he that is of a perverse heart shall be despised.

He that is despised, and hath a servant, is better than he that honoureth himself, and lacketh bread.

10 A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.

11 He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding.

12 The wicked desireth the net of evil men: but the root of the righteous yieldeth fruit.

13 The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble.

14 A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man’s hands shall be rendered unto him.

15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.

16 A fool’s wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covereth shame.

17 He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.

18 There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.

19 The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.

20 Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy.

21 There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.

22 Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight.

23 A prudent man concealeth knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness.

24 The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.

25 Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.

26 The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth them.

27 The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious.

28 In the way of righteousness is life: and in the pathway thereof there is no death.

  1. Take the path of righteousness, it is life. Jesus promised us life and to have it more abundently.

    Which path will you take?

    Choose life……….

  2. Let’s keep each other in prayer, encouraging one another in His word with uplifting words that will make our hearts glad. Love my POFW family & will miss them so very much

  3. A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.

Ladies our actions must speak louder than our words. Virtuous means conforming to moral and ethical principles, morally excellent, upright, chaste. We must be virtuous in every aspect of our lives to bring glory and honor to our head, our husband, or if you’re unmarried, to your head, Jesus Christ. God receives no glory out of women who are loud mouthed and obnoxious, or who are unkempt, lazy and unsubmitted.

We must take pride in everything our hands touch because we do everything as unto the Lord. Work with pride, take care of your house with pride. Don’t let your family live in a “pig sti”. Keep your home tidy and in order. You never know when God will allow someone to just drop in for you to minister to their needs. Your husband and family deserve the best. Keep your life in order. Take pride in what God has blessed you with, your home, your job, your family, your clothing, your car. Everything about you tells others about Jesus. Take care of yourself, spiritually, physically and emotionally by developing daily disciplines of prayer, bible reading and growth through leadership books and training. If you work a public job be of good character and have integrity. Be the best employee your company has. Everyone you go be of chaste conversation. ‘

Let your light so shine before all men that they might see Jesus in you.

  4. YES HALELUJAH!!! HALELUJAH!!! SANTO!!!
1 Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.
YOU SAID IT DADDY!!! I OBEY!!! HALELUJAH!!! I LOVE YOU JESUS!!! IF IT WASN’T FOR YOUR GREAT AND TENDER MERCIES THERE WOULD BE NO INSTRUCTION AND SURELY NOT ANY KIND OF KNOWLEDGE!!! FOR WHO AM I??? WITHOUT YOU I AM NOTHING!!! NOW …. WITH YOU I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH YOU DADDY AND ONLY THROUGH YOU JESUS!!! GRACIAS PADRE!!! HALELUJAH!!! HALELUJAH!!! HALELUJAH!!! =D

  5. 25 Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.

So many hearts are heavy today, especially since the storm tragedies this week. Encourage someone today; share good words with someone with a heavy heart. Jesus loves them and He is coming soon!

  6. Why so glum?
Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad. (Proverbs 12:25 KJV)
Worry weighs us down; a cheerful word picks us up. (Proverbs 12:25 MSG)
Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, but an encouraging word makes it glad. (Proverbs 12:25 AMP)

Heaviness, worry, and anxiety make us stoop. They cause our eyes to be downcast. They are a heavy weight upon us. This is the point where we focus on our problems (the wind and waves) instead of God. It makes us sink.

BUT there IS a cure! A good, encouraging, cheerful word can pick us up and make us glad. Go around spreading the word of God and you are giving encouraging words. Tell of The Lord, laugh, find the good in things, it makes people happy.

I am new to grade level and very concerned for how well I am teaching. When I spoke to the school counselor she was extremely positive and showed me how some of the children grew in my class. This took my worry away. It helped me to focus more on the positive of this year rather than the struggles. It made me a happy.

Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, but an encouraging word makes it glad. (Proverbs 12:25 AMP)

    Proverbs 17:22 (KJV)
A merry heart doeth good [like] a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

  7. The language of Death

13 The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble.

You can’t tell enough lies or
Be a good enough lyer to cover the trail of sin you left behind. The blood of Jesus is the only thing that can cover your lies. Every time we lie we crucified him fresh. Your lies will always catch up with you.

    Numbers 32:23
23 But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.

14 A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man’s hands shall be rendered unto him.

    Truth always pays off.
When I was a little boy my Dad would ask me if I had done something wrong, he used to tell me if you tell me the truth I will not punish you as bad as if I find out you are lying to me.
I learned real quick to tell him the truth, because when he found out I was lying I had a hard time figuring out while I was getting whipped as to why I lied in the first place.

    John 8
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.

A wise man learns from his mistakes.
A wiser man learns from others mistakes.
But the wisest man learns from others successes.

We have to listen to our elders and our Pastor. If I know anything it is that they have been through a few things in their lives and they know what they are talking about. A fool would not listen to their elders or their pastor.

We have to find a place that all that matters to us is making it to heaven and doing everything we can to get everyone else going with us.

21 Thy people also [shall be] all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.
22 A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.

The way to getting a new church is through righteousness. This is the promise of God through his word. We have to clean up what needs to be cleaned up before he will issue this land grant. Let us strive for righteousness and claim what he has for us. In Jesus Name

  8. 4 A wife of noble character is her husband’s crown, but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones. NIV
4 A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones. KJV

We as wives need to pray and lift our husbands up. If God is the head of man and man is the head of the wife and if you talk down to your husband and cut him down and slander him don’t you think you are doing wrong? Would you treat Jesus like that? I’m not saying treat your husband like he is your god but what I am saying is respect your husband and treat him like he deserves. If you are a stay at home mom/wife have respect for your husband when he comes in and have his meal ready and his house and laundry clean. After all he did go in the world to make a living to provide you with the necessary things of life. Make sure when your husband goes out of the house and into the public his clothes are pressed and clean, after all the way your husband looks is a reflection on you (wife). We as wives don’t want to thorn in our husbands flesh. We want to life them up and be there for him.
Respect each other’s views at all times
    Listen to each other
give priority to your spouse over everything else
say I Love you with a serious heart
start your day with a warm hug and kiss
    spend time together alone

Communication is the key to a relationship. One should feel free to discuss all things with out fear of repercussion at any time.

Well I guess this was a fusion lesson 🙂

  9. RULES TO LIVE BY

1 Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.

Chapter 12 is full of RULES TO LIVE BY. The first is most probably the most important. The know it all attitude does not find much success in the Kingdom of GOD. The childlike, inquisitive FAITH is what moves GOD.

“Instruction is Knowledge” and “Knowledge is Power”, everybody LOVES power. Not everybody LOVES instruction. Instruction has many different forms.

Instruction – 4148. moo-sawr´; properly, chastisement; figuratively, reproof, warning or instruction; also restraint:—bond, chastening ((-eth)), chastisement, check, correction, discipline, doctrine, instruction, rebuke.

We learn from this definition that “INSTRUCTION” is more than just a piece of paper with diagramed step by step suggestions to achieve the construction of something purchased.

Most often “INSTRUCTION” shows up as “CORRECTION”.

    Whoso loveth CORRECTION loveth knowledge:

    MSG
If you love learning, you love the discipline that goes with it—
    how shortsighted to refuse correction!
    NLT
    To learn, you must love discipline;
it is stupid to hate correction.

    iLearn
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  10. This chapter illustrates distinction. The differences between a wise person and an unwise person are defined. One can find knowledge if one wants in many ways, albeit wisdom only comes to those that heed the Word of God (Jesus); “The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise”. What a mighty God we serve! May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  11. 2 AGood man obtaineth favour of the Lord: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.

What a wonderous Jesus we have. I always try to lift people up instead of tearing down.
That’s God’s job. I’m not perfect but I try to teach, say the gospel of peace wherever I go. Good people God loves.
bad people he has no want with. God is going to give us holy people a CROWN OF GLORY for us being saints of Jesus Christ one day.
LETS GIVE HIM A BIG PRAISE IN ADVANCE!!

    THANK YOU JESUS

    NOW its all about Him!

  12. 12:16a fool’s wrath is presently known:but a prudent man covereth shame.

    Just “SHAKE IT OFF”!
No big deal, GOD will take care of that, of those who do wrong you……
Let’s be part of foolish situations, they do not produce nothing good.
One is the fool, the other one should be the wise…
    12:22
Lying lips are abomination to the LORD,but they that deal truly are his delight.
    Hallelujah!!!!!!
Have we put on the belt of truth today? I have did it this morning.
Thank you JESUS, thank you Abba for transforming me, for your patience toward me.

  13. 18 There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.

The power of our words are strong. They can help our hurt, give life or kill, heal our make ill..
Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. .. We should think about what we say before we say it. Make sure our words won’t unintentionally hurt someone. “the tongue of the wise is health” well by the word and fear of God we get wisdom..
Proverbs 3:7-8 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. .. To be wise is to fear the Lord, that fear and wisdom is health and if we’re talking to someone our words should be able to be backed up with the Word. If our advise and conversations are about Jesus it’s not only spreading light but life and health also. Our words can heal, if they are inspired by the Word. Thank you Jesus for your Word

  14. ILove to eat the Word

    Take Control of Your Land

11 He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding.

How easy is it to just lay back and let the weeds grow. It doesn’t take discipline or energy, and plus weeds are people too right?

    NO!

You might think turnip greens are weeds, but the truth of the matter is that weeds cannot be ingested. We must get outta bed and till the land. We must plant and harvest. We must water and fertilize.

The word “till” in the Hebrew is
    05647
    עָבַד `abad
    Verb aw-bad’
    a primitive root
a primitive root; to work (in any sense); by implication, to serve, till, (causatively) enslave, etc.:–X be, keep in bondage, be bondmen, bond-service, compel, do, dress, ear, execute, + husbandman, keep, labour(-ing man, bring to pass, (cause to, make to) serve(-ing, self), (be, become) servant(-s), do (use) service, till(-er), transgress (from margin), (set a) work, be wrought, worshipper,
    to work, serve
    (Qal)
    to labour, work, do work
to work for another, serve another by labour
    to serve as subjects
    to serve (God)
    to serve (with Levitical service)
    (Niphal)
to be worked, be tilled (of land)
    to make oneself a servant
    (Pual) to be worked
    (Hiphil)
to compel to labour or work, cause to labour, cause to serve
to cause to serve as subjects
(Hophal) to be led or enticed to serve

It means to “force” the land to submit to you!
When you plow the land you are making the land serve you…how can we turn this into a spiritual lesson?

But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. (1 Corinthians 9:27 KJV)

    The word subjection is
    1396
    δουλαγωγέω doulagōgéō
    Verb doo-lag-ogue-eh’-o
from a presumed compound of (1401) and (71)
from a presumed compound of and ; to be a slave-driver, i.e. to enslave (figuratively, subdue):–bring into subjection.
to lead away into slavery, claim as one’s slave
to make a slave and to treat as a slave i.e. with severity, subject to stern and rigid discipline

WE HAVE TO TREAT OUR BODY (flesh) LIKE THE LAND! TILL UP THE LAND AND MAKE YOURSELF READ THE WORD, MAKE YOURSELF FAST, MAKE YOURSELF COME TO CHURCH WHEN YOU’RE SICK, MAKE YOURSELF BE KIND!!! Do not be lazy and let the weeds of life choke the life out of you!

  15. Adam’s Ribs Ministry

A virtuous and worthy wife [earnest and strong in character] is a crowning joy to her husband, but she who makes him ashamed is as rottenness in his bones. (Proverbs 12:4 AMP)

As wives we must realize the important role we play in our husbands lives. We read in Genesis 2:21-23 (AMP)

And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam; and while he slept, He took one of his ribs or a part of his side and closed up the [place with] flesh. And the rib or part of his side which the Lord God had taken from the man He built up and made into a woman, and He brought her to the man. Then Adam said, This [creature] is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of a man.

Everyone is in the Adam’s Rib Minstry we are the bride of Christ!!

So before we were a mother, Sunday school teacher, ect. we are a rib. The rib cage has three important functions: protection, support and respiration. It encloses and protects the heart and lungs. It provides a strong framework onto which the muscles of the shoulder girdle, chest, upper abdomen and back can attach. It is flexible and can expand and contract by the action of the muscles of respiration. The diaphragm is attached to it’s lower border.

This should be our first ministry first to God and then when we become married women add our husbands to the ministry. We must protect, support and be life to him. We must be flexible and submitted.

In verse 4 Crown from strongs means- a primitive root; to encircle (for attack or protection); especially to crown (literally or figuratively):–compass, crown.

Ashamed from the strongs means- a primitive root; properly, to pale, i.e. by implication to be ashamed; also (by implication) to be disappointed or delayed:–(be, make, bring to, cause, put to, with, a-)shamed(-d), be (put to) confounded(-fusion), become dry, delay, be long.

What a ministry! If we cause God or our husbands to be disappointed or delayed its as if he’s walking around with cracked ribs.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33 KJV)

  16. Work hard and become a leader;
be lazy and become a slave.

It we work hard and are faithful to God’s word and live by the instruction he has left us, it will lead us to the ultimate promise land. If we choose to be lazy and follow the things of the world, we will become a slave to the world.

  17. 12 To learn, you must love discipline; it is stupid to hate correction. (NLT)

12 To accept correction is wise, to reject it is stupid. (CEV)

12 If you love learning, you love the discipline that goes with it how shortsighted to refuse correction! (MSG)

*I want to learn!! Discipline and correct me!

  18. 13 The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble.

    Watch Those Lips

Just as the wicked are snared by their lips, I am reminded that the New Testiment tells us that they “over came by the blood of the lamb, and the word of their testimony”… The word tells us that there is the power of life and death in our tongue, so what are we saying? Do we really proclaim His greatness everywhere we go? do we really praise Him for all He is done for us? do we whine about the trials that we are facing?

When looking for a little something to help, a “pick-me-up”, i am going to let you in on a secret, WE WON!!!! 2000 years ago Christ over came the grave and sin, and gave us the victory. WE WIN!

  19. Verse 28 MSG “Good men and women travel right into life; sin’s detours take you straight to hell.”

Verse 26 CEV “You are better off to do right, than to lose your way by doing wrong.”

We must stay on track (meaning…accepting correction, living right and obeying His commands) in our daily walk and not getting sidetracked or detoured off course.

  20. Working Hard for the King.

11 He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding.

I would like to focus on the first part of the scripture, he that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread.

I grew up in the part of the country that is called the bread basket. I lived with my family from the time that I was born till the age of 13. We lived in Illionois and was surrounded by corn and beans. So I can relate to this passage. The farmer would first get up before dawn and go out to the field and look it over from the past harvest. He would hook up the plower to the tractor and start plowing the land. This would uproot anything left from the harvest and would over turn the soil. Then the farmer would get the tiller and start tilling the land. Now, many people mistake the plower and tiller for the same thing. This is not so. The plower is to over turn the soil, the tiller is to make that overturned dirt into strait uniform rows. Back many years ago they had planters that would just randomly dispurse seed and it would grom as nature allowed, then the tiller came. It made uniform rows that allowed the seed to grow inrows to make to easier to plant and grow and eventually harvest. The other benefit to this is that it allowed water to penetrate the roots of the plant, so therefore it would grow faster and bigger.

Now that we have a better understanding of this, we can now focus on “the vain person” in this scripture. I understood it as someone who was in a hurry. The vain person is always thinking on the now and not thinking for the future. If the person would have followed the farmer would they have learned?

God gave us a brain to us, and in that we need to learn as much as we can. I have had the opprotunity to learn alot in the short time that I have been alive, I am glad because it has saved me in some pretty intense times. I give all the glory to God, because without those times of learning ,how would I have known how to do something? Plant the seed of learning cause in harvest time it will come back with intrest and pay back in so many ways.

  21. 12-10
Animals are not viewed with cotempt because they are less than human. They are viewed with with compassion and we are to accept responsibility to care for them

  22. Fools have short fuses and explode all too quickly; the prudent quietly shrug off insults. (Proverbs 12:16 MSG)

Many times you can truly tell how a person’s character is like when you see them blow up!! Let me make sure I stay out of that persons way.. All i can say is ‘Oh Jesus’!!

    Be Angry and sin not….

  23. Castle-Keeping

A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband.
    Proverbs 12:4

They say every man’s house is his castle, a stronghold, a place of refuge at the end of a bad day . It provides safety for a man’s wife and children when he is away, so he can do his work without worrying about them. Above all , it is the one place on earth where he can do as he pleases, where he can rule as a monarch ( a benevolent one, we trust). Or at least it should be that way. Wives can either help support this castle or undermine its foundations. A virtuous wife keeps the castle in good repair and through her actions provides a crown for her fortunate husband. Help POFW wives give their husband the aid and support he needs. His life is hard, and he deserves to live in an atmosphere of love and security.

Strong families build strong churches !!

  24. The wicked vs the righteous. We are presented here with two paths. Both of them show the outcome, from the things that are said to the things that are done. There is instruction that tells you how to become a righteous person, keep away from evil, say the truth, work your land, keep knowledge, give good counsel.. There is always a choice

  25. In this chapter evil, wicked, sin, lies, dishonesty, deceitful, foolish, pride are the perfect example that God wants us to stay away from, God wants us to live a good life, to be an example and live a godly life by making God number one in your life, to honor him and praise him with all of your heart and soul. He will then bless you and your family and you won’t be bothered by death.

Lord lead me and guide me to do your will, I want to shine for you.

  26. It all starts with a seed

20 Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy.

One tiny thought can produce an action eventually. Imagining evil reveals deceit in the heart.

    James 1:15
Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin:and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

It’s the little things that can lead to big problems. On the other hand sowing peace reaps joy!

  27. 21 There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.

This verse shows me that no matter what we as believers go through it is not evil… God says no evil can happen to the just so whatever we go through is God testing and making us better. However the wicked shall be filled with mischief and evil. It does not matter how happy they may seen the wickeds life is filled with mischief.

  28. To learn, you must love discipline; it is stupid to hate correction. Wise words bring many benefits, and hard work brings rewards. Work hard and become a leader; be lazy and become a slave. (Proverbs 12:1, 14, 24 NLT)

  29. Coming Out

13 The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble.

At times we feel cornered in trouble, unable to overpower the situation to regain control. But God promises the just will come out. We must guard our mouths, though; we must not be snared by what we say, even during moments of exasperation:

    Proverbs 18:20-21
20 A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Speak life, eat the fruit of life; speak death, eat the fruit of death. No matter how it feels, it probably isn’t as bad as you think. We must resist the temptation to speak death to vent our inner turmoil.

    Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Don’t think death, think life; don’t speak death, speak life!

    Psalms 118:17
I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

  30. 28 In the way of righteousness is life: and in the pathway thereof there is no death.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. -Psalms 23:3

Righteousness is a lifestyle. It is both a path we walk down and a display of his saving power.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. -Psalms 23:4

  31. 3 A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.

    What are you rooted in?

The root of the righteous shall not be moved because it is rooted in truth. The truth is a firm foundation, a solid rock. The roots taken in truth allow us to face storms but even if we get knocked down then we can grow back stronger because our roots our buried deep into the only solid foundation.

Proverbs 24:16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

We all fall, make mistakes, and have to get back up again. It’s our foundation that allows us to do just that. But when the wicked fall they have nothing to grow back in because they are rooted in sinking sand. Sand, just like this world, will wash away leaving anything planted, or built upon it, exposed and vulnerable.

Mathew 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Choose this day in whom you will serve.

  32. Weight

Worry weighs us down; a cheerful word picks us up. (Proverbs 12:25 MSG)

The weight of the world is not our to bear but to give to Him. You cast weight on others by the words that leak from your mouth.

The loose tongue of the godless spreads destruction; the common sense of the godly preserves them. (Proverbs 11:9 MSG)

Ask yourself, “do I want to be the reason that a person falls or do I want to be the reason a person runs to truth?” – that blood lays on your hands whether you accept it or not. As the light in this world we cannot be of it. Listen to the voice of The Lord and as we are taught, speak when spoken to.

Your words will either kill or bring life… Think before you say

  33. vs 15 We all think we are right in the things we do, but when counsel is given, we can become fools if we do not listen to wise, Godly instruction.

  34. 3 A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.

Thosee that are righteous according to God’s eyes have a great anchor. The wicked have no root, so it’s easy to be swayed, by the trials of life. The enemy will try to move you from the place that God has placed you, but greater is he that is within you. Storms may come and winds may blow, but we shall not be moved.

  35. A Wife of Noble Character

vs 4 “A wife of noble character is her husband’s crown, but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones.”

The Hebrew word for noble is used in relation to women only two other times in the Old Testament (Pr 31:10; Ru 3:11). Ruth demonstrated the character qualities that earned her such high regard. Do the same for the noble wife described also in Pr 31. A man who is fortuante enough to marry such a women will be much more likely to reach his potential and be admired by others, suggesting that a good wife is far more than a social appendage or domestic helper. A wife who pursues wisdom and godly character can be the most important influence in her husband’s life. A wife who doesn’t can be his downfall.
