Isaiah 11

1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:

And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;

And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den.

They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.

10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

12 And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

13 The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.

14 But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil them of the east together: they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them.

15 And the Lord shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind shall he shake his hand over the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make men go over dryshod.

16 And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.

  1. The root of Jesse, you know this is expressing the end times. When Jesus Christ will return, and all things are new. A new heaven & new earth, and it appears a repeat is going to happen just like the parting of the Red Sea, and he’s going to do it again, from Assyria “A highway”.

    “Be blessed, Be Ready”……………………………………………………..

  2. V1
Matthew 1:1 This is the genealogy of Jesus the Messiah the son of David, the son of Abraham:
Acts 13:23 “From this man’s descendants God has brought to Israel the Savior Jesus, as he promised.
Hebrews 7:14 For it is clear that our Lord descended from Judah, and in regard to that tribe Moses said nothing about priests.

Jesus came out of prasie your salvation comes out of praise.

  3. 3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

I believe too often we form opinions of others based on something we see or hear when we don’t know the whole story. We would be wise to hold our thoughts and not jump to conclusions.

  4. 10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

Can you see Him High and lifted up, He is glorious… they will all flock to Him, we will all be gathered up, brought to Him, and for first time Peace will truly reign on Earth for even the animals can not harm anyone.

  5. 9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.

    Net states
They will no longer injure or destroy on my entire royal mountain. For there will be universal submission to the LORD’s sovereignty, just as the waters completely cover the sea.

    Submission-God takes over

The knowledge and glory of God is going to be so great that the church will not be hurt or destroyed.

    Hurt in Hebrew:
    TWOT – 2191,2192
    רָעַע ra`a`
    Verb raw-ah’
    a primitive root
a primitive root; properly, to spoil (literally, by breaking to pieces); figuratively, to make (or be) good for nothing, i.e. bad (physically, socially or morally):–afflict, associate selves (by mistake for ), break (down, in pieces), + displease, (be, bring, do) evil (doer, entreat, man), show self friendly (by mistake for ), do harm, (do) hurt, (behave self, deal) ill, indeed, do mischief, punish, still, vex, (do) wicked (doer, -ly), be (deal, do) worse.

As a church, in unity, God wants to bring us to a place of total victory. Not just for a select few of the church, but for everyone in it. Imagine everyone who attends regularly doing the blog-gaining knowledge. We would literally see a shift in God that would consume this city. That is where God is bringing us.

Lets get the momentum going. Many people are double minded this they are inconsistent in their walk with God. Lets band together and pray for God to give us an unadulterated mind and love for him. Pick up our weaker brothers and sisters and encourage them. Lets keep the momentum going so that everyone grows in knowledge and commitment so that every member of our church can walk in complete victory and have confidence in who they are in Christ Jesus.

  6. 10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

The prophecy of King David linage to Jesus Christ, Jesus was of the tribe of Judah. The part that excites me the most is {to it the gentiles seek}.
This prophecy is one of many of the gentiles being able to come to come to God. We should thank God every day that a way was made that gentiles could now walk with God. Prior to the birth of Jesus The gentiles was considered dogs, no way they could enter into the temple.

Thank you Jesus, that now we can participate in worship and be filled with the Holy Ghost.

HIS REST SHALL BE GLORIOUS, this is so awesome, speaking of the rest of God. The Holy Ghost experience is the rest that will help us in our walk with God!

    PRAISE GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. 15 And the Lord shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind shall he shake his hand over the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make men go over dryshod.

    There’s something in the Water

Throughout the word, water is used as a type of flowing flowing of the Holy Ghost. (…”And out of their bellies shall flow rivers of living waters”). This brought to question “sea”.

According to Strong’s, in the Greek, it comes from the root word meaning “to roar”, and then it list several seas.

We know the mighty wind is the Holy Ghost, ( “… with a mighty rushing wind, and cloven tongues sat upon each of them..”). Dryshod is with dry sandals.

So When broke down, this verse might read, “And Jesus SHALL utterly destroy the roarings of the world, of the flesh; and with the Holy Ghost speaking through, and living inside each of us, He Shall over come our desires to give in to the seven deadly sins, the flesh, and He will keep us so that we are not even tempted to go back to our old ways.”

  8. Verse 3 CEV “His greatest joy will be to obey the Lord. This king won’t judge by appearances or listen to rumors.” This verse reminded me of the women (heroes) in the Old Testament that we are learning about in Sunday School. It is the character and commitment to God that makes heroes out of ordinary girls (or boys); not appearance (beauty is a chance gift).

Verse 9 MSG “The whole earth will be brimming with knowing God-Alive, a living knowledge of God ocean-deep, ocean-wide.” This reminds me of the song we sang as children:

    Deep and wide
    Deep and wide
There’s a fountain flowing deep and wide
    Deep and wide
    Deep and wide
There’s a fountain flowing deep and wide

  9. 7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

His presence makes us all equal. He is no respecter of persons. The presence of The Lord calm even the most dangerous of people like the lion. When I received the Holy Ghost I went from being a lion in the anger of my flesh to being calm and patient. I traded that lion of anger for the peace of God.

  10. PEACE AND UNITY

    2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;
3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

Misunderstanding and False perception are the 2 main keys to fear and division. These are the 2 areas that satan uses to destroy a body from within. Fear or intimidation from someone or something in the church and division, disunity, disagreement all of these affect the FLOW of the SPIRIT of GOD.

Here in verse 2 we are given the livelihood whereby we can live in PEACE and UNITY. The SPIRIT of the LORD, Wisdom and Understanding, Counsel and MIght, Knowledge and Fear of the LORD.

In verse 3 we find instructions for proper application of these Godly, Spiritual attributes: Don’t judge everything by JUST what you see or hear. (Things are not always what they appear.)

This happens too often in the Church. People judge by what (portion) they can see only and reprove or correct by what they hear only. We shold strive, sacrifice and work toward being a people of GRACE and PEACE producing UNITY and FAITH in our midst that we fear nothing but the LORD of GLORY.

    The PROMISE

    MSG
5 He will wear righteousness like a belt
    and truth like an undergarment.
    6 In that day the wolf and the lamb will live together;
the leopard will lie down with the baby goat.
The calf and the yearling will be safe with the lion,
and a little child will lead them all.
7 The cow will graze near the bear.
The cub and the calf will lie down together.
The lion will eat hay like a cow.
8 The baby will play safely near the hole of a cobra.
Yes, a little child will put its hand in a nest of deadly snakes without harm.
9 Nothing will hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain,
for as the waters fill the sea,
so the earth will be filled with people who know the Lord.

NOW is the TIME church. Let UNITY PREVAIL and PEACE REIGN.

  11. Jesus will set everything straight someday. Until then he can change things in our lives today if we will obey his word and let him have his way in our lives directing us in the things he would have us do.

  12. 2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;

3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked

Thankful to be serving a righteous, loving, merciful God.Lord help me to have a compassion for souls that need you! Let your light shine thru me so that I can lead others to you!!!

  13. This chapter illustrates potential. The one that would, become; “And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots”. One may never fully know what the Lord has planned for oneself or for one’s own. As such one should never stop (reading the Word, praying or seeking God) for as long as there is life there is hope. What a mighty God we serve! May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  14. The promise of our blessed Savior and the characteristics that He would possess and example for us. Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Knowledge all these things are in Him, as the Spirit of the Created has rested upon Him, so likewise are these characteristics available to us as we have that same Spirit within us.

    James 1:5
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

In the day and time we live in, we all need the wisdom that cometh from above.

    The Seven Spirits of God

John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; (Revelation 1:4 KJV)

There are Seven Principles that ensure our victory. These are called “The Seven Spirits of God”.

We can find these Seven Spirits in Isaiah 11:2,”And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding , the spirit of counsel and might , the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD

    1)Spirit of The Lord
    2)Spirit of Wisdom
    3)Spirit of Understanding
    4)Spirit of Counsel
    5)Spirit of Might
    6)Spirit of Knowledge
    7)Fear of The Lord

These 7 spirits can be found in Revelation 5.

And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. (Revelation 5:6 KJV)

Notice that these 7 attributes all originate from one Spirit which are all from the head of the body.(7 eyes)

For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the Lord, which run to and fro through the whole earth. (For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. (John 3:34 KJV) 4:10 KJV)

All Gifts of the Spirit are found in these seven attributes.

REVELATION GIFTS of the word of knowledge, the word of wisdom, and the discerning of spirits.

POWER GIFTS which are the gifts of faith, gifts of healings, and the working of miracles.

UTTERANCE GIFTS, gift of prophecy, tongues, and the interpretation of tongues.

Isaiah 11:2 declares that all this would rest upon The Messiah. Another scripture says, ” For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. (John 3:34 KJV)

We need the 7 Spirits of The Lord in operation in the body of Christ!

  16. Out of the stump of David’s family will grow a shoot
    — yes, a new Branch bearing fruit from the old root. And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on him
    — the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.
He will delight in obeying the Lord. He will not judge by appearance nor make a decision based on hearsay. (Isaiah 11:1-3 NLT)

Evidence of a fruit bearing branch:

    – the Spirit will sit upon them
    – will have the wisdom and understanding
    -knowledge and counsel
    – and the fear of The Lord
    – delight in obeying The Lord
    – will not judge by looks
    – will not believe or listen to hearsay or gossip

The word also says a new branch from an old root. I thank God the old roots of the past! Thank God for our old roots and the traditions.

  17. 2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdm and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;

3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

The more of the Lord’s spirit we have the more righteous we become. Why wouldn’t we want to walk in the spirit every day? The more we seek him the greater he becomes in our lives, the easier it is to deal with carnality and other unrighteous things that attack our minds. Thank you God for your Holy Spirit

  18. Christian.

2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord; B3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

The word Christian means to he Christ like. Is this passage of scripture, it illustrates the qualities of Christ. This is a blueprint for us to follow.

i love to read about the attributes of my God. Make me want to shout and worship and feel so proud of been his daughter.
    Praise The Lord!

  20. 2 And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him—the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the reverential and obedient fear of the Lord—
    3 And shall make Him of quick understanding, and His delight shall be in the reverential and obedient fear of the Lord. And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, neither decide by the hearing of His ears;
4 But with righteousness and justice shall He judge the poor and decide with fairness for the meek, the poor, and the downtrodden of the earth; and He shall smite the earth and the oppressor with the rod of His mouth, and with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked. (AMP)

    Thank You Jesus.

  21. Vs.1, “And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots.”
Vs.10, “And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.”
Vs.11, “And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.
Vs.12, “And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

As I read these passages of scripture from Isaiah 11, scriptures from Romans 11 came to mind. Romans 11-15-27. I will not write out all these scriptures, but wanted to share a few for my thoughts.

    Vs.17, “And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the tree;
Vs.24, “For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?
Vs.25, “For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in.
Vs.26, “And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:”
Vs.27, “For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.”

First, I just want to say that I am so thankful for the goodness and mercy of God that he graffed us in. He adopted us into his family.

Second, Israel will be restored back to God.

  22. REST

9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.

10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

    Psalm 133:1-3
1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

    2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

    Acts 13:10
And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

    Isaiah 58:6-7
6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

There is a special kind of rest described in scripture: the rest of fasting. It is a time when we rest from our works and put away the flesh in repentance and humility. It is a restoring of the righteous works of the Lord in us and through us. Isaiah 58 began is describing how the children of Israel fasted and sought the Lord, but not for His purpose. We can go through the motions and not get anywhere because we are only exercising ourselves in religious activity and not seeking to reach the heart of God and restore relationship with Him.

The Lord describes to Israel the contrast of *His* chosen fast, describing how fruit of it that reveal His righteous way:

    Isaiah 11:16
And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.

    Proverbs 16:17
The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.

    Isaiah 35:1, 8, 10
1 The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.

8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.

10 And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

The way of the Lord calls us to leave our own path. The way of the Lord calls us to let Him take over. We must submit to Him in every way for His to truly take over, which calls a complete rest concerning our own ways. The Lord continues to describe this in Isaiah 58 with the fruit of the Chosen Fast:

    Isaiah 58:13-14
13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:

14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

    Psalm 37:23
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.

    Psalm 37:3-5
3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

4 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

As v10 of today’s chapter says, the rest of the Lord shall be glorious! When we enter into His rest, we can enter into truly delighting ourselves in Him and receiving what He desires for us.

    Matthew 11:28-30
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

The rest of the Lord is glorious! Caleb testifies:

    Joshua 14:10-12
10 And now, behold, the Lord hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the Lord spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old.

11 As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in.

12 Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the Lord spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the Lord will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the Lord said.

He shows submission to the rest of the Lord, and entered into the promise of the Lord! He clung to that promise despite the actions of others and God proved that trouble is no obstacle to revival as He took over. Caleb got to cry at last “give me my mountain!” The blessing of the Lord is available, if we will let God take over!

    Hebrews 4
1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.

2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.

6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:

7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.

9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

  23. 9 Nothing will hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain. And as the water fill the sea, so the earth will be filled with people who know the Lord.(NLT)

I have hope because I know one day all the suffering Godly people go through will be rewarded. When he returns evil will be wiped off the face of earth. What a glorious day it will be, so I will Thank him in advance.

  24. 9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.

These verses tell me, that God is peace and love. We all shall live happily ever after, for eternity.

  25. vs10- 16. Let’s us know that VICTORY
still exist through the Name of
    JESUS.

” The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our LORD, and of his CHRIST; and he shall reign for ever and ever.” Rev. 11:15

  26. 10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

I’m also thankful that the Lord has come as prophecied and had a plan for the gentiles. The last of the verse is the best! “…and his rest shall be glorious.” This can be received two ways: the rest of the Holy Ghost refreshes us & renews us while heaven is also referred to as his rest is also

  27. 9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.

We all look forward to this day. I think we should not just day dream about it, but rather do what we can to make it heaven on earth!

Pray in the spirit and the atmosphere will fill up with his words.
Worship, and praise and his presence will manifest.
Shine his light, and people will experience him.

The world needs more of Jesus today so let’s give it to them!

  28. 3 Fear-of-God will be all his joy and delight. He won’t judge by appearances, won’t decide on the basis of hearsay. MSG

3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: KJV

Don’t judge someone by you hear about them. Don’t judge someone by what they wear or drive. God help us if we judge others.
Judge not, that you be not judged. Matthew 7:1

It’s not our place to judge others, we are not the judge. So why don’t we just leave the judging up to God. God help us not to judge others, we need to be a light the hurting and be there for each other.

  29. 10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

I am thankful for the opportunity to come to God as a gentile and that he gives through His Spirit a rest that is glorious.

    1 Kings 8:56
Blessed be the Lord, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised:there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.

  30. 12 And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

There are multitudes of backsliders in this region that are one their way home. Get ready POFW for a great revival of souls.

  31. If He did it once, He will do it again!
And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt. (Isaiah 11:16 KJV)
He will cause the way to open and the children of Assyria now have a promise in leaveing. God will fulfill the promises that He makes. If there was any doubt the the people could look back on what God did before and they will be able to see that He can do it again!

This is like David taking back Goliath’s sword. It was a memorial. If He did it once, He WILL do it again! He was big, but GOD IS BIGGER!

Now the Philistines gathered together their armies to battle, and were gathered together at Shochoh, which belongeth to Judah, and pitched between Shochoh and Azekah, in Ephes–dammim. And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span. And he had an helmet of brass upon his head, and he was armed with a coat of mail; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of brass. And he had greaves of brass upon his legs, and a target of brass between his shoulders. And the staff of his spear was like a weaver’s beam; and his spear’s head weighed six hundred shekels of iron: and one bearing a shield went before him. (1 Samuel 17:1, 4-7 KJV)

God WILL prove Himself more than enough for us too!

  32. 12 And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

The wonderful qualities and attributes of our Lord are described…a prophetic chapter anouncing the coming of our savior and how glorious it will be in His second coming. He is coming for a unified perfected church. All of Him, His qualities will be in His bride. He knows what He likes and gives the church “this is what I’m looking for” there will be unity, there will be victory. People will not be judging on what they see or hear for they will have matured in the qualities of Jesus. Love will abound. And out of the 4 corners of the earth He will lift up His praises, Juda…

  33. Spirit of the Lord

    2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;

In the OT God’s Spirit, called “the Spirit of the Lord” comes on people for a specified time so they can accomplish a task. For example, the Spirit of the Lord empowers the barehanded Samson to kill a lion in Judges 14:5-6. In the NT the Spirit of hte Lord rests on Jesus. As the Messiah -the “shoot…from the stump of Jesse” (Isa 11:1) -he carries the full power of God with him, not for a singular task, but for his entire ministry. His death, resurrection and ascension open the way for God’s Spirit, called “the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:4), to indwell in believers. Since then Christians have benefited from the constant presence of the Spirit within, rather than occasionally being endowed with the Spirit for a particular task, as in the OT.

  34. 5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

Let us put on righteousness and faithfulness. With these on, no matter what comes our way, we will have the power to take it down. The reason why it is hard for us to fight some battles is because we are not in the right attire. When we have the right apparel on we can go so much further.

  35. 4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked

The wicked will be slayed sayeth the Lord, the Lord has a plan and nothing will stand in his way of righteousness.

    Lord I seek you NOW!

  36. Revelation

and he will delight in the fear of the Lord. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears; (Isaiah 11:3 NIV)

Our flesh gets in the way of what God wants to reveal to us. We let the images we see and little whispers deceive out minds and stray us from Him.
Lord if you can open blind eyes, open my eyes to see as you see… If you can open deafened ears, allow me only to hear your voice

  37. 10 The bricks are fallen down , but we will build with hewn stones : The sycomores are cut down , but we will change them into cedars . 11 Therefore the Lord shall set up the adversaries of Rezin against him , And join his enemies together ;
