Isaiah 12

1 And in that day thou shalt say, O Lord, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.

Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

And in that day shall ye say, Praise the Lord, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.

Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.

Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.

  1. 2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

God is the only one who can save me must stay close to him and his word.
His salvation is never ending that’s why I can keep going to him and draw from him.

  2. 3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

A well is connected to an underground source. Some wells dry up after a few years and others seem to last forever. Water is life giving, sustaining, cleansing, and refreshing.

The well our souls are connected to will never run out, and never dry up! The same living water is available on Thursday as on a Sunday.

Tap in and see what miracles can be had!

  3. 4 And in that day shall ye say, Praise the Lord, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.

Call on Jesus; tell Him what you need and Praise Him. When He answers your prayer, tell others what He has done and tell them the exalted Name you called on to get your needs met.

    That day…today…Now

  4. 6 Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.

The conclusion of this chapter is cry out and shout, for GREAT IS THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL. This also let’s us know he is in the midst of us.

Though thou wast angry with me. Think that God is angry every day with the wicked. This means when we were aliens to the truth and living life in a wicked state, he was angry with us. If we want God to turn his anger away from us, we need to be born again. Change our way of life and let the Lord become our way of life, our salvation and strength.Let him become our JOY.

We then begin to praise God and with JOY draw water out of the wells of salvation and see what God can do for this generation.

POFW if we begin to show the world there is JOY in living for God. This is the greatest life this side of heaven. GREAT IS OUR GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LET’S EXALT HIS NAME [JESUS CHRIST]

  5. And in that day thou shalt say, O Lord, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.

  6. If we trust in God and praise his name and truly repent he will be faithful to forgive us and comfort us.

  7. 4 And in that day shall ye say, Praise the Lord, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.

    Reminds me of the song:
Jesus on the mainline tell him what you want
Jesus on the mail line tell him what you want
If you want a blessing tell him what you want
Jesus on the main line now
All we have to do is have a relationship with Jesus and talk to him. Another old song I like and fits in is Just a little talk with Jesus. Sometimes you just gotta get away from everyday life and have a little talk with Jesus.

  8. Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

Sometimes I don’t think we realize that when we are born again or when we receive forgiveness after repentance we are saved from hell. It should be a joy filled, jumping up and down, praising God, shouting hallelujah, running isles, occasion.

    Websters-Hell
a (1) : a nether world in which the dead continue to exist : hades (2) : the nether realm of the devil and the demons in which the damned suffer everlasting punishment.

a : a place or state of misery, torment, or wickedness
b : a place or state of turmoil or destruction
    c : a severe scolding

Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.

Jesus is truly in our midst. He has been showing himself mighty in every service. I have been to other churches on Wednesday nights and I know that its not like this everywhere, From what I know its not like this anywhere else. When we come into his presence we should be in a shout, in a exaltation, in a state of praise because we know how great he is. We know and understand the hell that he saved us out of.

  9. Thanksgiving for God’s salvation

Isaiah 2:1 Behold,God is my salvation;I will trust, and not be afraid: For the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; He also is become my salvation.

Psalm 83:18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is Jehovah, Art the most High over all the earth.

  10. Verse 2 MSG:
    “Yes, indeed—God is my salvation.
    I trust, I won’t be afraid.
God—yes God!—is my strength and song,
    best of all, my salvation!”

Many people have trust issues because of being hurt in the past; but, if you trust in the Lord, you no longer have to be afraid. The end of verse 6 CEV says “…God is here to help you.” To know that He is your salvation, your defense and He is on your side will bring joy unspeakable.

    Proverbs 3:5-8 CEV:
    “With all your heart
    you must trust the Lord
    and not your own judgment.
    Always let him lead you,
and he will clear the road
    for you to follow.
    Don’t ever think that you
    are wise enough,
    but respect the Lord
    and stay away from evil.
    This will make you healthy,
    and you will feel strong.”

  11. I’ve Got A River Of Life Flowing Out Of Me!

2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. 3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

The Lord is my salvation HALLELUJAH! He is the only way I can be saved. I didn’t do it on my own. I did just like the Bible says. I repented, was baptized in Jesus name, and filled with the Holy Ghost! I live a life that is set apart from the world. I have unexplained joy. I have a water that will never maker thirst again.

The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. (John 4:11-14 KJV)

What a thing. A man to tell you all your business and just want a drink. Then He says that he will give you living water. I want my living water to overflow onto others around me. I don’t way to poison people with bitter water, but have living water flowing from me to others.

Lord let your loving waters flow from me and onto those around me in Jesus name. Amen!

  12. 2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

No matter what trials of life we are going through, trust in the Lord because he knows the path he is leading us on. Declare that he is your strength. Ask him what you need to learn from every trial. Know that the joy of the Lord is your strength! He is your strength to get through the trials!
In Numbers 21:17, Israel sang this song: “Spring up, oh well; sing ye unto it.” Rise up! Get your praise on and let the waters begin to flow! Now let us with JOY draw water from the wells of salvation. I praise you Lord!

  13. Wells of Salvation
    iLove to Eat the Word

Isa 12:2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

Isa 12:3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

The word “salvation” here is usually interpeted in most people’s minds as salvation from sin. Salvation definately is deliverance from sin; however, the complete meaning of salvation is as follows:

    H3444
    ישׁוּעה
    yeshû‛âh
    yesh-oo’-aw
Feminine passive participle of H3467; something saved, that is, (abstractly) deliverance; hence aid, victory, prosperity: – deliverance, health, help (-ing), salvation, save, saving (health), welfare.

Health and healing is a part of salvation! Having the VICTORY is a part of salvation! Having finanical aid is a part of salvation.

There are wells of Salvation. This is plural!

    Eternal deliverance
    Physiacal deliverence
    Mental deliverance

  14. When we are drawing waters out of the well of salvation daily, our joy will be full and running over, therefore we will have a song in heart.

169 times the word “sing” is found in the bible. Singing provides an outlet for the soul and mind. It is melodious, it attracts attention from those who do not have a song on in their heart. It elevates and lifts up the One who the song is about.

5 Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.

  15. IT MAKES ME WANT TO SHOUT, and PRAISE MY GOD!!!!!! GLORY,GLORY, GLORY!!!!

In that day you will sing: “I will praise you, O Lord ! You were angry with me, but not any more. Now you comfort me. See, God has come to save me. I will trust in him and not be afraid. The Lord G od is my strength and my song; he has given me victory.” With joy you will drink deeply from the fountain of salvation! In that wonderful day you will sing: “Thank the Lord ! Praise his name! Tell the nations what he has done. Let them know how mighty he is! Sing to the Lord, for he has done wonderful things. Make known his praise around the world. Let all the people of Jerusalem shout his praise with joy! For great is the Holy One of Israel who lives among you.” (Isaiah 12:1-6 NLT)

He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (John 7:38 KJV)

  16. THE JOY OF SALVATION

2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.
4 And in that day shall ye say, Praise the Lord, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.

Many people confess salvation, however do not really commit themselves to the LORD. The confession here is that “GOD” is my salvation, not my job, friends, bank account, the govt. etc. All of the above mentioned entities will let us down, GOD has never failed.

There circumstantial evidence when GOD is my salvation.

    1. TRUST – FAITH
    2. CONFIDENCE – PEACE
    3. PRAISE – BATTLE STRATEGIES (SERVING)
    4. JOY – VICTORIOUS

These 4 attributes mentioned here in Isaiah stand true today. These 4 attributes will identify to every believer if “GOD is your salvation”

If any of these are absent, NOW is the time to REPENT, and FOLLOW (SERVE) JESUS with everything you have and TRUST JESUS with everything you have.

    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

    NOW

  17. Let all the people of Jerusalem shout his praise with joy! For great is the Holy One of Israel who lives among you.” (Isaiah 12:6 NLT)

Be joyful and praise his name. I rejoice and praise him for his faithfulness in my life. He has invested so much into me and has stuck by me when others would’ve given up.

What has The Lord done for you?

But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. (Psalms 5:11 KJV)

  18. This chapter illustrates due. The great and glorious God (Jesus) forgave them, which is also the same today, as such one’s praise is due; “And in that day thou shalt say, O Lord, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me”. What a mighty God we serve! May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  19. 2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

HALLELUJAH! God is so great and so faithful! He is my strength and my song! In him I will put all my trust and not fear when trouble comes, thank you Jesus thank you Jesus

  20. And in that day thou shalt say , O LORD , I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away , and thou comfortedst me.

    The NET states
At that time you will say: “I praise you, O LORD, for even though you were angry with me, your anger subsided, and you consoled me.

    Anger in Hebrew is:

    ánaph
    Verb aw-naf’
    a primitive root
a primitive root; to breathe hard, i.e. be enraged:–be angry (displeased).
to be angry, to be displeased, to breathe hard
(Qal) to be angry (of God)
(Hithpael) to be angry (always of God)

Our rebellion and send is disgusting and makes Hime angry. Here anger can be birthed because God is displeased with us. The passage illustrates praising The Lord because Gods anger turns to restoration.

Comfortests in Hebrew is a primitive root; properly, to sigh, i.e. breathe strongly; by implication, to be sorry, i.e. (in a favorable sense) to pity, console or (reflexively) rue; or (unfavorably) to avenge (oneself):–comfort (self), ease (one’s self), repent(-er,-ing, self).
to be sorry, console oneself, repent, regret, comfort, be comforted
    (Niphal)
to be sorry, be moved to pity, have compassion
to be sorry, rue, suffer grief, repent
    to comfort oneself, be comforted
    to comfort oneself, ease oneself

It is an act of bringing one to repentance in order to restore ones soul. Gods mercy and loves breaks us and renews us unto repentance.

This is why i praise. God is worthy and in spite of my failures he loves me. He sees something in me and has a great plan for me.

    Jer 29:11 NET
For I know what I have planned for you,’ says the LORD. ‘I have plans to prosper you, not to harm you. I have plans to give you a future filled with hope.

He knows. Rather than crushing me and giving me a just reward of eternal darkness, his love set me free. I’ve been brought of of the captivity of Jezebel and my mind is free. I was a slave to my sin and now I serve the Almighty God.

I know who I am. I know who I am to become through Christ. I thank Jesus daily for placing men of God in my life and I am ever grateful for a pastor who loves people. I pray the entire body of Christ gets a revelation of what God wants to do in Fort WORTH AND IN THIS WORLD.

God I will serve you even if I had no hope of salvation. I’m not in this for me. I’m yours simply because you are worthy of everything I have and more.

  21. 1 And in that day thou shalt say, O Lord, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.
2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

    My God, My Strength.

All throughout the Word, we find God brings peace, strength, salvation, and victory. We know tha t we fight not against flesh and blood. We know that “He is our strength and refuge”. We know that He is our salvation. We know that he is our salvation and our Comforter… So why don’t we know that we have the victory? Why don’t we rejoice as we draw from His well of living water?

Sin. Sin cause separation between man and God, and even though His hand is not weak, and His arm is not short, when we sin, WE pull away from Him.
He knew where Adam was, He wanted Adam to know where he was. He knows where you and I are, He just wants us to know where we are. Without repentance, we are separated from not only God, but we close ourselves off from each other. It is here, without repentence we loose not only our unity, but we also sacrifice our position for victory.

David was know as victorious, because when he sined he repented. He knew that he didn’t want God’s anger turned toward him. He understood the need for God to be his strength. ,As we praise , as we worship, and when we repent and truly allow God to be our strength, we unify and get to walk in victory.

  22. 2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

I must admit it, I like being in control. When I know what’s going I’m happy. Anything I can do for myself, I will do because then I know it’s done just the way I like it. But there are times when I can’t control a situation or I don’t know the next step is when I have to really trust God. When he ask me to do something out of my comfort zone or when he tells me to wait when what I want seems to be right in front of me. I find comfort in knowing that he sees tomorrow and he has instructed me today in order to safety get to there. Thank you Jesus for providing peace that passes all understanding.

  23. Vs. 4 tells us to “… Praise the Lord, call upon his name…”
Vs. 5 tells us to “Sing unto the Lord…”
Vs. 6 tells us to “Cry out and shout…”

I think God wants to hear from us.
I’m so thankful I don’t set in a quite church, but I’m in a church that loves to Praise the Lord.

  24. 1 And in that day thou shalt say, O Lord, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.

2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

Thank you Lord for my salvation,my strength and the song you put down in my soul !! I give you PRAISE!!!

  25. Thankful Praise

1 And in that day thou shalt say, O Lord, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.

Isaiah wants to give hope and meaning to the people as they experience suffering, so he explains how they’ll fell once God’s judgment has passed and they again live in righteousness. After enduring hardship and allowing it to reshape them, they will be relieved and grateful for what God has accomplished to transform them. Their natural response will be to break out in praise to God: “Surely God is my salvation.. The Lord, the Lord, is my strength and my song” (Isa 12:2). Their song of praise resounds with the knowledge that God is the source of all good in their lives. Their spiritual perspective changes, and they know joy again.

  26. 5 Sing to the Lord, for he has done wonderful things. Make known his praise around the world. (NLT)

5 Sing praises to the Lord, for He has done excellent things [gloriously]; let this be made known to all the earth. (AMP)

We won’t stop until the whole world knows, that You God, are a Great God!

  27. 5 Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.

The right song can change the way you feel. When we sing unto God, even though it seems or day is not going well at all, God will lift our spirit. Sometimes a song is all you need in order to receive strength, encouragement and the will to move forward. A good song will keep a praise in your mouth and the devil in his place.

  28. 4 And in that day shall ye say, Praise the Lord, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.

What a day! When the Lord saved me. I don’t want to stop declaring the salvation he has given me. What a day it was when the God of all creation reveal himself to me in the face of Jesus. Make his name great before men!

  29. HALELUJAH!!! HALELUJAH!!! HALELUJAH!!!
    SANTO SANTO SANTO!!!
5 Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.6 Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.
I SING UNTO THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE LIVING GOD!!! JESUS!!! YOU ARE GREAT AND MIGHTY!!! HALELUJAH!!! I LOVE YOU DADDY!!!

  30. God is talking.

2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

Wow! God is so good. Tonight I had the opprotunity to spend some time with an elder, and this is what we were talking about. How when we trust God fully, there’s no room for fear. God is my strength. Let us be rooted in the soil that is blessed with life that we might grow and bear fruit.

  31. 1 And in that day thou shalt say, O Lord, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.

I’m thankful that when I was yet in sin God didn’t pour out judgement but rather turned away and led me to repentance and comforted my hurting soul. The Holy Ghost is our comforter.

    John 14:26-27
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you:not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

  32. What an awesome God we serve. God knows all and sees all things. Nothing is impossible through God, if God is for us then who can be against us.

Lord you reign in my life, I turn to you NOW! Deliver me from all wickedness. It is never my intention to anger you in any way. I praise your Holy sweet name.

  33. Joy

2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

    Nehemiah 8:10
Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

    Romans 14:17
For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

    1 Peter 1:6-9
6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: 7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls. (1 Peter 1:6-9 NLT)

    Philippians 4:4
Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

    James 1:2-4
2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

When life gets hard, rejoice! When temptations come, rejoice! When it doesn’t make sense, rejoice! God’s vision is one of perfection and His goal completion, so we can trust His working is for our good and we can trust Him to take over. The joy of the Lord should be present in our lives no matter the circumstances. There is a future in Christ!

    Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

  34. 4 And in that day shall ye say, Praise the Lord, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.

5 Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.

6 Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.

The word that came to mind as I was reading this last few verses was a term used in marketing called “buzz” “wom” (word of mouth) advertising is one of the best ways to spread a new thing…kinda like giving out testimony. I have been privileged to see the great wonderful things that God is doing in the midst of us..and with that we must get this out. Yes God is great and can do anything and it is our job to get this message out. To let every one in Fort Worth what God is doing. We need to go out and tell them about the miracles signs and wonders. The healings that Jesus is doing proclaim the great works of the Lord. I stand amazed at God and everything He is and He does. He is so God to us. Fill us with the well of living water and gives us His joy… Thank you Jesus. I will proclaim the great works of my God here in our city, here in my church!!

  35. v5 Sing unto the LORD; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.

We are GOD’s children and HE has given us a song . That’s why we can sing and praise our way to victory.
We can sing our way out of trouble, sickness, and difficulty.

    iSing
    iPraise
    iPray
    iShout
    iWorship
    Now

  36. 2 Behold , God is my salvation ; I will trust , and not be afraid : For the Lord JEHOVAH is my strength and my song ; He also is become my salvation . Praise ye the Lord You are Great !!!!!!

  37. Raise the roof

“Yes, indeed—God is my salvation. I trust, I won’t be afraid. God —yes God !—is my strength and song, best of all, my salvation!” “Sing praise-songs to God. He’s done it all! Let the whole earth know what he’s done! Raise the roof! Sing your hearts out, O Zion! The Greatest lives among you: The Holy of Israel.” (Isaiah 12:2, 5, 6 MSG)

If we are ashamed of worshipping Him then what’s makes us believe He wouldn’t be ashamed of us?! Praise praise praise!!! God has never, nor will ever leave or deceive you.
If we allow our praise to synergize imagine how easily we could blow the roof (the stronghold) of this city off!! POFW let’s praise!!! We can’t hold back any longer… Our praise and worship is what will separate us from this world, we can not be ashamed!
