Isaiah 26

1 In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks.

Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in.

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:

For he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he layeth it low; he layeth it low, even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust.

The foot shall tread it down, even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy.

The way of the just is uprightness: thou, most upright, dost weigh the path of the just.

Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O Lord, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee.

With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

10 Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the Lord.

11 Lord, when thy hand is lifted up, they will not see: but they shall see, and be ashamed for their envy at the people; yea, the fire of thine enemies shall devour them.

12 Lord, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us.

13 O Lord our God, other lords beside thee have had dominion over us: but by thee only will we make mention of thy name.

14 They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish.

15 Thou hast increased the nation, O Lord, thou hast increased the nation: thou art glorified: thou hadst removed it far unto all the ends of the earth.

16 Lord, in trouble have they visited thee, they poured out a prayer when thy chastening was upon them.

17 Like as a woman with child, that draweth near the time of her delivery, is in pain, and crieth out in her pangs; so have we been in thy sight, O Lord.

18 We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen.

19 Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.

21 For, behold, the Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

  1. 21> we have to be careful what this scripture says. We have to stay repented.and all ways acknoledge the Lord always with a true heart. Thank you Lord that your Word never changes and we will eventually have to be judged theres noway around it.Hope and pray Jesus that you will guide me always in this day to day life. Thank you Jesus-Love always in Jesus Name…Amen.

  2. As individuals and a nation, we cannot hide anything from God. We should be as holy as possible in his sight and not unrighteous. His judgment will come upon us.

  3. 3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:

To have perfect peace, we need to trust and keep our minds on God, who is bigger than our problems. When we do, it gives us strength because we are no longer dependant on our own power. His strength is everlasting, but our problems are temporary.

    Isaiah 40:28 KJV
28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord , the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

  4. 16 Lord, in trouble have they visited thee, they poured out a prayer when thy chastening was upon them.

This is a perfect example of people of our day, in our trouble we will pray. When the LORD may be chastening us. Chastening is not always bad, we think it is bad for us at the time it is happening. We need to remember though that the LORD chasten them that he loves. So if God chastens us that means he still loves us.
The love of God is so great and so far above our ways or thinking. Remember God loved us when we were yet sinners. How great is the love of God.

My prayer everyday is I always want to visit God and pour out my prayers even in the good times. I am thinking that pouring out a prayer is more than the I lay me down to sleep prayer. More than just the simple prayer we pray so many times. It is a lets get down to business prayer, I need something NOW from you God.

Help us LORD to pray everyday to the LORD of our lives!!!!!
    JESUS CHRIST

  5. HALELUJAH!!! HALELUJAH!!! HALELUJAH!!! YES!!!

  6. Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength: (Isaiah 26:4 KJV)

To TRUST JESUS is all I need!!!!
My Rock, My Shield, My healer,My provider, My Peace, My Joy, My Refuge. WOW!!!!! Why would I want to trust in anything else.

Glory to GOD!!!!! DIOS TODO PODEROSO!!!!!!

  7. 4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:
Put your trust in God he is the only rock that you are going to find that is going to help you thru a trail.
We have all slipped and made mistakes and the only way to get back to the cross is thru repentance. Like Bro McHaney preached last night crucify my ears, eyes, lips, feet, hand…..God help me to do what he wants me to do and to get self out of the way. Help me to hear the things God wants me to hear, things God wants me to see and to speak only of his goodness and guide every step I take. The devil is out to kill and destroy but we have to take a stand against the enemy and put the enemy under our feet.

  8. iLove to eat the Word

    “Peace Out and Peace In”

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

It’s time to stand on the Word of God. This is a good Word to stand on!

Matthew 5:9 – Blessed [are] the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Philippians 4:7 – And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

2 Thessalonians 3:16 – Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord [be] with you all.

John 14:27 – Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

1 Peter 3:11 – Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.

Lord, let your people receive true peace today. Let our homes be full of peace.

  9. 3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:

I will keep my focus on God….I will trust in him no matter what happens…

  10. 3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Peace will always accompany those who put their trust, faith, and time to no matter what the circumstances are.

  11. This chapter illustrates peace. True peace is from God, and in God; “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee”. What a mighty God we serve! May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  12. V17-18 Like as a woman with child, that draweth near the time of her delivery, is in pain, and crieth out in her pangs; so have we been in thy sight, O Lord. We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen.

Just like when a women draws close to the giving birth to a child, the pain can be unbearable and it might seem like she might never make it through, but she know that the only way to end the pain is to continue to push ahead towards greater pain for her reward. We as Christians to must push ahead, sometimes pushing trough a great deal of trails and tribulation in order to reach the destiny God has in store for us. But God promises us ” perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” (v 3)

Lord may I trust in your word, and draw upon your strength in my daily walk with you, Amen.

“Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:”- Isaiah 26:4

  13. 20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.

Judgement is sure, and it is swiftly approaching. We must repent every day and ask that the mind of Christ be in us. I want to see how He sees and look at the world as He sees it. I want to be His eyes, His ears, His mouth, feet & hands to this world.
Scripture says we must not trust our hearts because our hearts can deceive us – but we must put our trust in God’s word and Pastor because they will lead us safely out of this world and into our heavenly home.

  14. 3 You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!
4 Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.

8 Lord, we show our trust in you by obeying your laws; our heart’s desire is to glorify your name. (NLT)

*Wow. Just to trust, obey, and have a sincere desire to glorify God, keeping pure thoughts fixed on Him and we will have a perfect peace. But if one is lacked, then the others are not void; you can’t pick and chose what you want or would rather or rather not do. Like Bro. Mahaney said God wants all of us, not just parts. God I chose to keep my thoughts fixed on you, obey, trust, and sincerely glorify Your name.

  15. 3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:

This is one of my favorite passages that I continually prophesy during my personal prayer times. When going through situations whether they are natural or spiritual, I can always know that I can find the peace of God that passes all understanding. He is peace, He is joy, He is hope….everything that I need I can find in Jesus.

  16. 3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Ever notice how as soon as you begin to slow down or stop praying as much as you are used to things just start to get worse. Old attitudes start coming back, bad thoughts like to pop into your head. Your peace of mind begins to disappear. I’m sure it happeneds to everyone, that’s why we must pray everyday and really pray through. That’s why we need to walk in the spirit everyday and not compromise the time we spend with the Lord. Without God we’re all no good, we need him to keep us right in our minds and actions. We need him to keep us in his perfect peace. There’s nothing like the presance of God, let’s not allow life to get in the way of is spending time with God and getting what we need to keep going forward.

  17. THE WAY

7 The way of the just is uprightness: thou, most upright, dost weigh the path of the just.
8 Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O Lord, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee.
9 With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

So many people in life are trying to find “THE WAY” to happiness, success, peace, joy, prosperity and many other self serving places of influence. Unfortunately too often we find that people take their own route and make it “their” way. However, JESUS is very plain and clear in regards to THE WAY.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

JESUS is THE ONLY WAY. Too often we seek for and search out ways that are not in JESUS.

THE WAY is found in uprightness:

    AMP
Isaiah 26:7 The way of the [consistently] righteous (those living in moral and spiritual rectitude in every area and relationship of their lives) is level and straight; You, O [Lord], Who are upright, direct aright and make level the path of the [uncompromisingly] just and righteous.
8 Yes, in the path of Your judgments, O Lord, we wait [expectantly] for You; our heartfelt desire is for Your name and for the remembrance of You.
9 My soul yearns for You [O Lord] in the night, yes, my spirit within me seeks You earnestly; for [only] when Your judgments are in the earth will the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God).

LIVE RIGHT and SEEK JESUS in every THING!

Walking with and Living for JESUS is THE WAY.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  18. Through our storms is when our trust and faith in God is tested. Through my storms I will keep my focus on God and my walk with Him! Beyond thankful for His chances we get and the love that He wraps us in!

  19. Vs. 3-4, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the Lord forever: for in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.”

Phil.4:7 says, “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

No matter what I may go through in life, as long as I keep my heart and mind fixed on Jesus and trust in him, I know everythings going to be alright. He is my Peace and Strengh.

  20. Preventing judgments

9 With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

We can fixate out minds upon the memories of past chaos, and destruction. We have witnessed bombings, burnings, smoke, and ashes. We have seen judgments of God.

Yet God in his infinite glory, and mercy allows these tragedies to awake his people from slumber.

Hosea declares In chapter 5 verse 15 that God cried
I will go and return to my place,
till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face:
in their affliction they will seek me early.

The consequences are brutal yet the answer is simple…devotion.

    Song of Songs 3:1-2
    Chapter 3
By night on my bed I sought him whom my soul loveth:
I sought him, but I found him not.
I will rise now, and go about the city
in the streets, and in the broad ways
I will seek him whom my soul loveth

To prevent judgments there must be righteousness. To ensure righteousness there must be devotion.

Earl we must seek God, and not stop til we find him. Late we must seek God, and dwell in his presence.

    Numbers 14:21
21 But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord.

The darker it gets the closer we must move toward him!

More of you Jesus! Fill the atmosphere with your presence and glory! The more Jesus the less darkness!

  21. Verse 3-4
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the Lord forever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength.”

Piggyback on what Angel said; when you are concentrated on God you think holy thoughts and speak in faith. You feel pumped in Jesus! But when you stop praying you loose communication with God as well as your trust in Him. How can you trust someone you don’t talk with? It’s a slow fade and in the end your filled with negative thoughts and attitude.
I will trust in you Jesus!

  22. The blessing of a promise.

What is your promise? Like having a child there is great anticipation for a promise. When you tell a child a promise you had better keep it. They will remind you. The promise is the Holy Ghost. We now have the promise that God has promised us.

  23. The Standard of Peace

3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

There is great power in having our minds properly directed. Victory is in peace through God, and so the enemy knows he can get an advantage over us if we will surrender our peace.

    Romans 16:20
And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

    Philippians 4:6-9
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

    Romans 12:1-2
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Peace should not be just some ideal for us but a way of life. For those who know God and have tasted of His peace, it usually is not difficulty in the getting of peace that challenges but the willingness to tolerate a lack of it. For some, finally getting victorious living is not so much about fasting and praying a devil out but in simply raising their standards concerning peace. If we stop making peace an option, then victory can stop being optional as well.

But we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth he has promised, a world filled with God’s righteousness. And so, dear friends, while you are waiting for these things to happen, make every effort to be found living peaceful lives that are pure and blameless in his sight. (2 Peter 3:13, 14 NLT)

But we look for new heavens and a new earth according to His promise, in which righteousness (uprightness, freedom from sin, and right standing with God) is to abide. So, beloved, since you are expecting these things, be eager to be found by Him [at His coming] without spot or blemish and at peace [in serene confidence, free from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts]. (2 Peter 3:13, 14 AMP)

  24. 3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:
5 For he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he layeth it low; he layeth it low, even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust.

    Peace and Everlasting Strength

Perfect peace is ours, all we haev to do is trust continually in and on Christ. The Bible tells us that He is the Prince of Peace. I had a beautiful revelation on this, in ALL ways He is the King of Kings, so why is Christ only the prince when it comes to peace? It is because He does not force hmself on us. He leaves it totally up to us if we want to allow Him to be peace for us. Right here it tells us that He is perfect peace for them that continually trust on Him.

In Psalms, David wrote many times, speaking of God’s strength. Whenever I need some “pick-me-ups” I go through psalms, and quickly I am encouraged, as I read, that even if I make my bed in Hell, I cannot hide from God, His arm is never too short, and His hand is never too weak.

Today we have a powerful advantage over those of the OT, we have the oppertunity to ask freely for forgiveness, and to be filled with the Holy Ghost. This is AWSOME, because we get the power and the peace at the same time, living inside of us, molding and shaping us to be more liike Christ..

  25. 3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength

  26. For he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he layeth it low; he layeth it low, even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust. -Isaiah 26:5

Indeed, the Lord knocks down those who live in a high place, he brings down an elevated town; he brings it down to the ground, he throws it down to the dust. -Isaiah 26:5

    Pride goeth before a fall.

Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. -Proverbs 16:18

God knows how to deal with those who walk in pride, whether it be a person, a city, or a nation.

Lord have mercy on us, our city and our nation. Let your grace towards us be extended once more.

  27. 3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:

In times of trouble we may lack peace but if we keep our mind on Him and trust Him, He becomes our everlasting strength.

“Thou wilt keep him in peace; in perfect peace, inward peace, outward peace, peace with God, peace of conscience, peace at all times, in all events. Trust in the Lord for that peace, that portion, which will be for ever. Whatever we trust to the world for, it will last only for a moment; but those who trust in God shall not only find in him, but shall receive from him, strength that will carry them to that blessedness which is for ever. Let us then acknowledge him in all our ways, and rely on him in all trials.”

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

  28. 4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:

The Lord is our strength. When we put our trust in the Lord, we gain strength. I will trust in the Lord with all my heart.

  29. 20Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.

You cant do anything if your shut up in the house because your offended. You cant win anyone to Jesus. You cant give a testimony. You cant learn or be of service to anyone if your offended. It is only suppose to be for a little moment that you stay shut up, and he didnt say he would come with you. he said enter into thy chambers but just for a little moment. Then get up and get over it and do something for God. Let us forgive one another of our offences and go do what we were called to do. Lets get out there and win some souls.

  30. We have been with child! It’s time to birth this child. Like birthing our vision a new church, or you could say even our personal dreams or visions.

    “Be blessed”……..

  31. 4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:

I’ve seen it too many times already where trust is temporary.
Lord I pray for the souls that seek you but don’t find you because of no faith nor trust. The easy way out is too easy. May eyes open and ears hear you NOW and submit to you Lord. Strengthen me Lord and lead me to that secret place Lord where I can be with you.

  32. Pride

For he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he layeth it low; he layeth it low, even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust. (Isaiah 26:5 KJV)

All those things that we put in the important place in our life will be brought down. God will level our playing field. He will put you down when you bring yourself up. Be careful that you don’t think like lucifer that you can put yourself in the same category as someone else. The Bible says not to compare ourselves amongst ourselves. It also says not to have even a little bit of pride. A little pride is like yeast and it can puff up your WHOLE life.

When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom. (Proverbs 11:2 KJV)
Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. (Proverbs 16:18 KJV)

God help us not to have pride in our lives. Help us to be humble and serve you without regaurd to wanting to put ourselves in a position. Jesus help us to serve you with a right spirit. –Amen

  33. Verses 3-4 AMP “You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You. So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages].” This boils down to commitment. You must commit yourself whole (all). If we begin to omit instead of commit, we have already defeated ourselves.

  34. 3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:

    Jeremiah 17:7 KJV
Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.

Sometimes we get overwhelmed with the cares of the world. We let things get to us. This verses just reinforce that keeping our minds, focus, on Jesus will gives us peace. One good pray through, and thanking praising, and worshiping will give you the love, joy, and peace you need. His Spirit in us is what gives us the peace.
“Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus”

  35. Useless Labor

18 We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen.

Though the Jews metaphorically feel the agony of labor, with its terrible pain and constant pushing, they don’t give birth to spiritual children. Instead of seeking God in their distress, they rely on their own wiles and pagan resources. Neither yields the desired result of bringing the news of salvation to the world, a calling God intends for them. They fail, like a woman who struggles to give birth but never delivers. When we neglect God’s spiritual path for us, we find ourselves giving birth to the wind. In other words, we become spiritually barren not only in terms of spiritual children, but also in terms of the fruit of the Spirit (Gal 5:22-23).
