Isaiah 31

1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord!

Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.

Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When theLord shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.

For thus hath the Lord spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the Lord of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.

As birds flying, so will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it.

Turn ye unto him from whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted.

For in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin.

Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be discomfited.

And he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the ensign, saith the Lord, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.

  1. We should not trust wholly on the wisdom of the world and lean not unto our own understanding but trust in God.

1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord!
IT SHOULD NOT TRY TO HIDE SHOW OFF OUR STRENGTH…… FOR IF IT WASN’T FOR THE LORD NONE OF US WOULD BE HERE !!! IT IS ALWAYS TO BE DONE IN THE STRENGTH OF THE LORD!!! …….
    1 Samuel 17:45 (KJV)
45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.
46 This day will the Lord deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.
47 And all this assembly shall know that the Lord saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into our hands.
THE BATTLE IS THE LORD’S!!! HALELUJAH!!! HALELUJAH!!! HALELUJAH!!! THANK YOU DADDY!!! I LOVE YOU JESUS!!!

  3. Take the city: I see a move of God! What do you see?

They will surrender their stronghold because of fear; their officers will be afraid of the LORD’s battle flag.” This is what the LORD says – the one whose fire is in Zion, whose firepot is in Jerusalem.
The “fire” and “firepot” here symbolize divine judgment, which is heating up like a fire in Jerusalem, waiting to be used against the Assyrians when they attack the city.

The anointing is building up and waiting to explode. The prayers of the righteous is like water in a pot on a stove. Worship and obedience is the hand that turns the knob increasing the heat, and that heat is the Soirit of The Lord. As the pressure builds up, the break through gets closer. The divine judgement of God is lingering for a moment, but the day is coming that it will go forth as a sword. The officers of the strongholds in Fort Worth will surrender their dominion bc of fear. We aren’t just going to have victory on the lesser things but we will tear down strongholds. The spiritual wickedness in high places are coming down.

If you read this, close your eyes and envision this. Get on board with what God is going to do, and read the following out loud.

In the name of Jesus, the stronghold of false doctrine and religiosity will fall before the truth of Jesus. The blind eyes and cancers and heart healings at our church are the physical proof of the prophetic spiritual healing that is coming to Fort Worth Texas. The blind eyes that follow false doctrine shall be open to see the truth and revelation of Jesus Christ. Bitterness will be loosed and spiritual cancers of deceit and humanism shall be devoured by the anointing. The unformed hearts of people who blindly follow lies shall be formed in truth and revelation of who Jesus really is and what he wants from them.

Be prepared for the great awakening. Be pure. You won’t be a cause of the movement without clean hands and a pure heart.

Miracles signs and wonders in this city to build faith.
Holy Ghost slayings and congregations baptized in the name of Jesus.
A zeal for the work of The Lord.
Revival of the dead apostolic churches.

I see a move of God that changes this world. What do you see?

  4. Where do you place your trust? In the military you are train as one you learn to be in one mind & one accord, you must trust each other for when the battle comes you want them to be willing to die with you & for you just as you are willing to do it for them. There is nothing nor no one that belong to this world that is willing to give the ultimate sacrifice like Jesus Lord of Lord did, He died so you can live. Therefore, it does not makes sense to put your trust in this world, everything & everyone in this world is temporary but the word of God is & always will be established for eternity.

Matthew 6:21 Where your treasure is, there your heart be also.

Lets lay our treasures, passion, and trust upon The Lord & His kingdom and the blessings will be eternal.

  5. 3. Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When theLord shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.

    Matthew 15:14 KJV
    14. Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

    Psalm 20:6-7 KJV
    6. Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.
    7. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

  6. 4 For thus hath the Lord spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the Lord of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.

The lion is coming to challenge the shepherds for his prey.

    1 Peter 5:8

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

This scripture tells us that even a multitude of shepherds was called forth against him. Notice how this is said, he was not afraid of their voices, neither their noise.

This tells me you need more than loud noise and screaming. We need anointed. There was no help until the Lord of Hosts came down to fight for Mount Zion. If we will allow God to take control and let him fight our battles. It seems to me Pastor Watts has preached this to us for a long time. If we could just catch the message, just maybe God would go ahead and take us to the next level. The longer it takes us to learn this lesson the longer it will take us to get to the next level.

I enjoy a great move of God in every service. We should see miracles in every service. Holy Ghost filled and baptism every day is the norm for God.

If we will wake up and realize that the enemy is simply a roaring lion and no match for our God!

  7. We must not join our self with this world and the things in this world that takes us from God.
Don’t go down to Egypt the world because you could fall to the trap of the sin of this world.

    Matthew 6:24
    New International Version
“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

  8. 1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord!
2 Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.

    TRUST: The Key to Sucess

In the previous chapter we read where it is sin to seek counsel of the world, and here we see that God will arise against those who trust in this world. We must hold true to our trust, loyal to the Word of God, and believe Him for He can and WILL do just as He said if we are willing to obey.

Abraham recieved his blessing but he had to be willing to not turn his back, for the time that he trusted in the flesh… well it is still causing God’s people problems today.

Job had nowhere to turn but to God. The woman with the issue of blood, had noone she could turn to but Christ. The centurion had only hope in Jesus. When we decide there that we have no hope other than what He offers, because He is the light and the hope for this world, then we get to see God move mightily in not only our lives, but also in our families, our churches, our neighborhoods, our jobs, our finances, and more.

  9. For these Egyptians are mere humans, not God! Their horses are puny flesh, not mighty spirits! When the Lord raises his fist against them, those who help will stumble, and those being helped will fall. They will all fall down and die together. (Isaiah 31:3 NLT)
Stop trusting in the things of this world, and put your TRUST only in GOD!! “They are mere humans not GOD!”
You’re seeing them with the natural eye, and not having a spiritual discernment. It may look good now(worldly lusts), but there’s always a price for sin…. Death!

  10. EMPTY CRIES FOR HELP

1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord!

Understanding the source of all GOOD comes from GOD is a valuable asset to and for the believer. Too often we are tempted to trust in things or people in this world which is a type and shadow of Egypt. Too often we look to someone, somebody that may possess the ability and or resources to help us, so that we can look good and not really get involved. The BIBLE is very clear concerning where and from whom to seek and find HELP.

Psalms 37:40 And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

Isaiah 44:2 Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen.

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

The WISE will RUN to the LORD and the resources of HIS house to find HELP. Otherwise the foolish will continue to find themselves empty and empty handed.

Psalms 121:1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2 My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

  11. This chapter illustrates deception. The size and strength of Egypt was deceiving. One must be mindful, for what one sees with the eye of flesh, may not be what is real. As such it is imperative that one sharpen ones spiritual sight with God’s Word, prayer and obedience to the shepherd. What a mighty God we serve! May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

THE BATTLE FLAG OF THE LORD

9 And he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the ensign, saith the Lord, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.

That scripture in the “NET” translation is:

They will surrender their stronghold because of fear; their officers will be afraid of the LORD’s battle flag.” This is what the LORD says – the one whose fire is in Zion, whose firepot is in Jerusalem.

It’s time to raise the battle flag of The Lord! What is that battle flag? The same flag that …

    NET
When the hands of Moses became heavy, they took a stone and put it under him, and Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side and one on the other, and so his hands were steady until the sun went down.

And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword .

The Battle Flag of The Lord is to hold up the man of Gods hands!!!

  13. But this is what the Lord has told me: “When a strong young lion stands growling over a sheep it has killed, it is not frightened by the shouts and noise of a whole crowd of shepherds. In the same way, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will come down and fight on Mount Zion. The Lord of Heaven’s Armies will hover over Jerusalem and protect it like a bird protecting its nest. He will defend and save the city; he will pass over it and rescue it.” (Isaiah 31:4, 5 NLT)

Just like that Lion we need not to be scared of the devil and the things of this world….we need to be tough and stay close to our God…. I AM STRONG!!!!!

  14. 1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord!

2 Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.

3 Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When theLord shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.

Egypt is a symbol of “the world”. Woe to the Saint of God who seeks their advice, direction and example for living from that of worldly influence rather than the God who created them.

    1 John 2:15
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

  15. 6.- turn to him from whome the children of Israel have deeply revolted.

  16. Who are you serving?

3 Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When theLord shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.

    Matthew 6:24
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

    Psalm 118:8
It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in humans.

    Matthew 15:14
Leave them; they are blind guides. If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.”

All throughout scripture the Bible talks about serving God rather than man, putting our trust in God and not this world, and being lead by God an not things/ people of this world. Sometimes as people of God we are looking for great revelation when our backs are against the wall but the truth is, if we just would catch the simple things we will be ok.

There is no reason for a women or man of God to seek council from the people of this world because once you are born into the kingdom of God your strength and power comes from God. Romans 8:6-10 says “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.”

So, why see carnal minded people to give you direction into a world they know nothing about? That would be like asking me for direction in a country that I have never been to. I thank God that He has given me a pastor and pastors wife that I can turn to in times of need. He has also surrounded me with great people that will tell me the truth of His world and not their own opinion. Most of all I am thankful that if I can not reach anyone on this earth that can help me, I can always call on Him in prayer.

My God is faithful, loving, and He really does answer prayers!

  17. 1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord!

Why would we put our trust in any except the Lord. Why would we go to those that are many and those that are strong when we serve the Lord of all lords. God almighty is all we should trust in. Always and forever. Not even a thousands wise men could match the wisdom of our God, it would be foolish to turn anywhere else for help

  18. Verse 6 NLT “Though you are such wicked rebels, my people, come and return to the Lord.” Many have defected, rebelled or revolted against the Lord; but, the Lord has an outstretched arm ready for you to come home. Many have backslid into the sin of this world and have trusted in its deceitful ways. However, we can help them return to the Lord by receiving them with open arms, no questions and showing them the love of Jesus.

  19. Repent, return, dear Israel, to the One you so cruelly abandoned. On the day you return, you’ll throw away—every last one of you—the no-gods your sinful hands made from metal and wood. (Isaiah 31:6, 7 MSG)

POFW will see the day of a greater out pouring of backsliders. I rejoice in advance of their deep desire and dedication to the Lord.

  20. We need to stand bold for The Lord and have our swords (His word) ready to fight! We don’t have to be sacred of the devil because God is on our side and with Him we are strong and with Him we will win!

  21. 1 What sorrow awaits those who look to Egypt for help, trusting their horses, chariots, and charioteers and depending on the strength of human armies instead of looking to the Lord, the Holy One of Israel. (NLT)

Trust in God, and God alone!! With Him all things are possible and nothing can stand up to or against you when you have God on your side.

  22. Isaiah 31:4-5 NLT
But this is what the LORD has told me:
    “When a strong young lion
stands growling over a sheep it has killed,
it is not frightened by the shouts and noise
of a whole crowd of shepherds.
In the same way, the LORD of Heaven’s Armies
will come down and fight on Mount Zion.
The LORD of Heaven’s Armies will hover over Jerusalem
and protect it like a bird protecting its nest.
    He will defend and save the city;
he will pass over it and rescue it.”

    Genesis 3:15
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

The first time Jesus came he defeated the enemy. When he comes the second time he has no reason to be afraid. He did it before, and he will certainly do it again.

When we face trials we need only look to the cross, and remind ourselves not to worry. Jesus brought the victory!

The enemy can scream, shout, ridicule, and demean all he wants but the word of God always triumphs!

  23. In this scripture, you can see how it is expressed how that we are but just mere men. A reminder, you are his creation, and that your flesh will fail you. Not only this, but to put your trust in God, not in things, or other creatures. Believing upon the Creator not the created, placing your trust, faith, in him and him alone.

3 Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When theLord shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.
    _______________________________________________________
He will protect his people, and he is our defense!

5 As birds flying, so will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it.

    “Be Blessed”………………………………………….

  24. There are so many times that people search for help in all the wrong places. The Lord is all the help we need. He will never leave or forsake us, if we would just lean and trust in him with our whole hearts. Have faith, because often times if when we are down to nothing that God is up to something.

  25. 3 Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When theLord shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.

We can only trust in the One true God. Man will fail you. Keep your eyes on Jesus. He’s the only way

  26. Vs.1, “Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD ! ”

Woe means great sorrow; grief; misery.

So what it is really saying is, ” Sorrow, grief, and misery to them that go down to the world for help.” This world is so sinful and in so much turmoil that it can’t offer you help. It can’t offer you peace, joy, or victory in your life. This is why we need to seek Jesus and look to him. He’s the only one who can give Peace that passes all understanding; Joy unspeakable and full of glory; and Deliverance and Victory in your life. He is our true help.

Jer.29:13, “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”

Ps. 121:1-2, “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.”

We need to seek and search for the Lord with all our heart, and once we have found him, we need to keep our eyes forcused on him because our help comes from him.

  27. ” Do we really want to go there”

Vs 9/sin is the fire and and the enemy can b the furnance. Wow! I dont want to go there. But God is in control of sin if I will go that extra mile w God which is in Zion and Jeruselum. So thats where I plan to stay Closer to God which is one and His Name is Jesus. Thank u Jesus my Messaiah.

  28. Where are you searching for help at? Who are you searching help from? If you are putting your trust in worldly things you cannot put your trust in God too. You can’t have trust in both the world and God. Its time we focus on what we know to do is right and focus on God and what he wants us to do. Don’t put your trust in man follow God’s will cause man will let you down but God will not fail us.

    He’s never failed me yet
    He’s never failed me yet
Jesus Christ has never failed me yet
Everywhere I go I want the world to know
that Jesus Christ has never failed me yet

We fail God but God does not fail us. I’m so thankful for forgiving and caring God.

  29. Verse 1 [NIV]
“Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help,
    who rely on horses,
who trust in the multitude of their chariots
and in the great strength of their horsemen,
but do not look to the Holy One of Israel,
or seek help from the Lord.”

We should only TRUST and RELY on Jesus. We are not of this world so we shouldn’t rely on it either.

  30. Ephesians 6:12 KJV

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

I don’t know why but this scripture came to mind.

    God knows.

  31. 1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord!
2 Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.

They trusted in their weapons and their nunbers and didn’t fear man or God. They trusted in the arm of the flesh. When God sends his judgement, he will not change his mind; where as in other times he gives man a chance to repent. Isaiah is sent to warn them to turn back to God ‘now’ before this time comes. ‘Now’ is also our time to get on the right path. Let go of the world and trust in our unchanging God-while it is still “today”.

  32. Set yourself up for a victory, disengage

7 For in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin.

8 Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword

It wasn’t till the they gave up their idols that they could conquer the enemy

We cant expect to overcome in life’s struggles when we are still holding on to something. We have to first define what it is that is still attached to us, next find out where it is then disengage from it. You cant help someone else fight a devil when you are holding on to the devils hand.

Disengage from sin and be victorious

  33. 2 Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.

Once God speaks something into existence it won’t stop until God says its done. We can live a life where God will speak blessings or where He will speak evil.

  34. Who do you trust?
Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord ! (Isaiah 31:1 KJV)

Wow. Egypt is the world and sin. Some people would rather trust in the government and man made comforts than The Lord of Hosts. Some people are so tilted on their way of thinking that they don’t even realize that they should be trusting The Lord.

Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the Lord shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together. (Isaiah 31:3 KJV)

This reminds me of Elisha. He prays and trusts God when those around him are a little tilted in their thinking.

And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. (2 Kings 6:17 KJV)

Who do you trust in? Will you get real results from God or fake sets from your tilted view?

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. (Psalms 20:7 KJV)

  35. 1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord!

The Lord is my help and my hope…

Whom do you trust? Do we seek the Lord? Do we acknowledge Him?
I am reminded of this scripture:
    Jeremiah 17:5
Thus saith the Lord: “Cursed be the man that trusteth in man and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord.

Where do we draw our help from? In whom have we put our faith? The economy of this world?…its science?…Its leaders and rulers that keep passing laws that are an abomination to God’s ways. Where will your help come from in the day of trouble and battle? Your strength and wisdom.

    Psalm 121 says: Amp version
1 I will lift up my eyes to the hills [around Jerusalem, to sacred Mount Zion and Mount Moriah]—From whence shall my help come?
2 My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.

This chapter also immediately made me think of the words of king David in Psalms 20:
The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble! The name of the God of Jacob defend thee!
2 May He send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion.
3 May He remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice. Selah
4 May He grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfill all thy counsel.
5 We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners; the Lord fulfill all thy petitions!
6 Now I know that the Lord saveth His anointed; He will hear him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand.

    Very interesting in verse 7

7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

8 They are brought down and fallen; but we are risen and stand upright.
9 Save us, Lord! Let the King hear us when we call.

We should know where to look for our help… Look up the Lord is watching…

  36. Isaiah 31

1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord!

Some trust in chariots and others in horses, but we depend on the Lord our God. -Psalms 20:7
They will fall down, but we will stand firm. -Psalms 20:8
The Lord will deliver the king; he will answer us when we call to him for help! -Psalms 20:9

In times of trouble turn to the only one who can save. The things of this world can never keep you but God is faithful. He will keep us at all times; he is my fortress.

  37. Fighting For Us

If we could only catch a true glimpse of how God fights for us… It’s easy to look for a hero in many things: people, money, possessions… but what greater hero could we desire than the Champion of Israel? What greater security and hope?

    Deuteronomy 1:30-31
30 The Lord your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes; 31 And in the wilderness, where thou hast seen how that the Lord thy God bare thee, as a man doth bear his son, in all the way that ye went, until ye came into this place.

  38. 3 But the Egyptians are men and not God; their horses are flesh and not spirit. …he who helps will stumble, he who is helped will fall; both will perish together.

So many times we lean on the strength of the natural, when God whats to protect us with his supernatural power. Anyone who turns to allies to join forces with them will fall, and they themselves will fall along with them. Many times we abort the supernatural miracles God has in store for us because we depend upon self, or natural. When we are broken, and truly submitted to God can he move. We have to leave room for God to move in our lives, walk out into the waters of faith.

  39. 6 Turn ye unto him from whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted.

7 For in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin.

It’s time to cast away those things that we have put before God. Every knee shal bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Jesus is the only one true God. Without him we are nothing, but with him we can do all things.
