Isaiah 32

1 Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.

And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken.

The heart also of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.

The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said to be bountiful.

For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the Lord, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.

The instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.

But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand.

Rise up, ye women that are at ease; hear my voice, ye careless daughters; give ear unto my speech.

10 Many days and years shall ye be troubled, ye careless women: for the vintage shall fail, the gathering shall not come.

11 Tremble, ye women that are at ease; be troubled, ye careless ones: strip you, and make you bare, and gird sackcloth upon your loins.

12 They shall lament for the teats, for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine.

13 Upon the land of my people shall come up thorns and briers; yea, upon all the houses of joy in the joyous city:

14 Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks;

15 Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.

16 Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.

17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

19 When it shall hail, coming down on the forest; and the city shall be low in a low place.

20 Blessed are ye that sow beside all waters, that send forth thither the feet of the ox and the ass.

  1. 17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

    18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

    As I read these verses I thought, the work of righteousness shall be peace, Does this mean what I think? If we live a righteous life we will be rewarded with peace? What a hope that peace is attainable in our generation.

    Ps 29:11

    11 The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.

    Ps 119:165

    165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

    I found as I began to look for the peace that God gives, the above scriptures. I hope they bless someone who needs the peace of God.
    Maybe we should look at ourselves and address our life style and see if we are living a righteous life that would bring to us the peace of God.

    These scriptures go to the next level, [The effect of righteousness] brings quietness and assurance not just today but forever. I thank God for quietness. Have we ever thought about the peace of quietness. If we would think before disagree with something or someone maybe if we just prayed and remained quiet. I see where quietness could be an attribute of righteousness.
    Then assurance which means
    as·sur·ance
    [uh-shoor-uhns, -shur-]
    noun
    1.
    a positive declaration intended to give confidence: He received assurances of support for the project.
    2.
    promise or pledge; guaranty; surety: He gave his assurance that the job would be done.
    3.
    full confidence; freedom from doubt; certainty: to act in the assurance of success.
    4.
    freedom from timidity; self-confidence; belief in one’s abilities: She acted with speed and assurance.
    5.
    presumptuous boldness; impudence.

    A positive declaration, this will always bring peace when we are positive and have a positive attitude.

    The prophet goes on to say my people dwell in peaceable habitation and sure dwellings. I thank God that peace is attainable for us today.

    I pray that the saints of POFW will read these scriptures today and take them to heart to live at peace with each other , our neighbors, our family , and our friends.

    Great peace have they that love thy Law!!

  2. 17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
    You want peace and righteousness go hand in hand. The work of righteousness or the energy and effort of righteousness. That’s why people are able to have peace during the storm. They work righteousness. Abraham believe God and it was counted as righteousness. Obedient faith will work righteousness and peace will be a by product.

    Just believe in it and do it.

  3. Wake up women! Rise up & get to work! It is time to stop being so lazy and get going in the kingdom of God, there are people to reach, souls to be prayed for, travail in prayer for them before the fruit dries & spoils in the fields. Get up woman get to work!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. When we turn to God and follow his word, we will have peace instead of turmoil. We can be assured of this peace because Jesus said in John 14:27; Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

  5. 14 Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks;

    15 Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.

    Without His Spirit we are nothing; our hearts and homes are dry and empty and our church services are meaningless.

  6. 1 Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.

    5 The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said to be bountiful.

    No More Rose Colored Glasses

    The Word tells us not to compare ourselves amongst or with ourselves. If we do we slowly leave the foundatioon that Christ had built for us, showing us what it is to be holy and seperate from this world, even though we are in it.

    The word assures us that there is comming a day when Christ will come back for His bride, and we must be ready. Today we see that the world around us has continually spiraled down. Look at the shows on TV, the clothes people are wearing, the attitudes of everyone, even homosexuality is out in the open.

    Thank you Jesus there is a day comming when the vile will once again be called vile, and not liberal.

  7. Verses 9-15 MSG:
    “Take your stand, indolent women!
    Listen to me!
    Indulgent, indolent women,
    listen closely to what I have to say.
    In just a little over a year from now,
    you’ll be shaken out of your lazy lives.
    The grape harvest will fail,
    and there’ll be no fruit on the trees.
    Oh tremble, you indolent women.
    Get serious, you pampered dolls!
    Strip down and discard your silk fineries.
    Put on funeral clothes.
    Shed honest tears for the lost harvest,
    the failed vintage.
    Weep for my people’s gardens and farms
    that grow nothing but thistles and thornbushes.
    Cry tears, real tears, for the happy homes no longer happy,
    the merry city no longer merry.
    The royal palace is deserted,
    the bustling city quiet as a morgue,
    The emptied parks and playgrounds
    taken over by wild animals,
    delighted with their new home.
    Yes, weep and grieve until the Spirit is poured
    down on us from above
    And the badlands desert grows crops
    and the fertile fields become forests.”

    It doesn’t say cry for yourself or feel sorry for yourself. It says to take a stand and truly begin to pray/weep “for the lost harvest”, “for happy homes no longer happy”, and “the merry city no longer merry” until the Spirit is poured down on us from above.

  8. 9 Rise up, ye women that are at ease; hear my voice, ye careless daughters; give ear unto my speech.

    We as women it is time to take stand and stand in the gap for our families and our children, church and backsliders. The saying that goes is if mama ain’t happy ain’t nobody happy. How true that is. Mamas set the tone for the home. What kind of tone are you setting for your home? Does the family want to come home or do they find excuses not to come home. We as women it is time to go to prayer for our families.

  9. THE PATH TO BLESSING

    20 Blessed are ye that sow beside all waters, that send forth thither the feet of the ox and the ass.

    The word BLESSED here in verse 20 means “HAPPY”. THE PATH TO BLESSING or HAPPINESS is found in SOWING.

    SOW – to PLANT

    When we SOW we release something from our control to someone or something else.

    Matthew Henry Commentary
    Plenty and abundance. There shall be such good crops gathered in every where, and every year, that the husbandmen shall be commended, and though happy, who sow beside all water (v. 20), who sow all the grounds that are fit for seedness, who cast their bread, or bread-corn, upon the water, Eccl. xi. 1. God will give the increase, but then the husbandman must be industrious, and mind his business, and sow beside all waters; and, if he do this, the corn shall come up so thick and rank that he shall turn in his cattle, even the ox and the ass, to eat the tops of it and keep it under. This is applicable, [1.] To the preaching of the word. Some think it points at the ministry of the apostles, who, as husbandmen, went forth to sow their seed (Matt. xiii. 3); they sowed beside all waters; they preached the gospel wherever they came. Waters signify people, and they preached to multitudes. Wherever they found men’s hearts softened, and moistened, and disposed to receive the word, they cast in the good seed. And whereas, by the law of Moses, the Jews were forbidden to plough with an ox and an ass together (Deut. xxii. 10), which intimated that Jews and Gentiles should not intermix, now that distinction shall be taken away, and both the ox and the ass, both Jews and Gentiles, shall be employed in, and enjoy the benefit of, the gospel husbandry. [2.] To works of charity. When God sends these happy times blessed are those that improve them in doing good with what they have, that sow beside all waters, that embrace all opportunities of relieving the necessitous; for in due season they shall reap.

    As we give resources (Time, Talent, Treasure) to the work of the Gospel whether it be in serving, ministering, or giving finances all are great opportunities to open the “windows of heaven” on our lives and live in perpetual happiness.

    When we sow we put in use what the LORD has entrusted to us.

    2Corinthians 9:10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)

    JESUS gives us seed to sow, we are BLESSED when we sow seed regardless of what waters are there. Deep, shallow, troubled, stormy, still, peaceful. SOW, SOW, SOW, SOW – GIVE, GIVE, GIVE, GIVE the more we GIVE the more we are positioned to be BLESSED.

    1. A feeling of contentment or self-satisfaction, especially when coupled with an unawareness of danger, trouble, or controversy.

    2. An instance of contented self-satisfaction

    One thing that we are continually warned about in scripture is to not get too comfortable, content, and complacent.

    Romans 13:11-12 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

    Matthew 24:43-44 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. 44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

    Many times in life, if we would really think about it, we would find ourselves walking around asleep spirit realm …ITS TIME TO SHAKE OURSELVES LOOSE…wake up and smell the monster energy drink, throw it in the trash and drink some Holy Ghost and get ready for the harvest. Light the prayer room up tonight Children of God, people are counting on us…

    But God is faithful and he ca not lie.

  12. until at last the Spirit is poured out on us from heaven. Then the wilderness will become a fertile field, and the fertile field will yield bountiful crops. Justice will rule in the wilderness and righteousness in the fertile field. And this righteousness will bring peace. Yes, it will bring quietness and confidence forever. My people will live in safety, quietly at home. They will be at rest. (Isaiah 32:15-18 NLT)

    I’m reminded of this scripture:

    And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: (Joel 2:28 KJV)

    ” then the wilderness will become a fertile field, and the fertile field will yield bountiful crops.”

    Which once was just plain dried dead ground, will now have life and bring forth it’s fruit( harvest).
    What will make our land(Ft. Worth) fertile?
    • God’s Word = Seed
    • Holy Ghost = water , prayer
    This takes a body to work, then to reap the harvest. The farmer (Pastor) can’t do all the work himself. It’s going to take each and everyone to sow seed, water, then the harvest will come.
    But we must have unity in order to prosper. And I believe that we’re almost there.

    And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. (Galatians 6:9 KJV)

    Its time for the women of God to take a stand! Too long we have set back and allowed the world to ravish our families, our homes, and our church. We must wake up out of the “ease” of this life. We become comfortable with our daily routine, we have food, shelter, clothing, and many times we forget our purpose here: to reach the lost of our region. It’s time we become the intercessors God intended us to be. Standing in the gap not only for our own families, but for the many people around us that are lost and don’t even know it.

    My prayer today is to walk in the spirit that I may be sensitive to His voice and nudging and be Jesus to someone I meet.

  14. 16 Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.

    17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

    18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

    Righteous living brings peace.. If we’re always wondering where is the peace of mind, we should check to see if we’re living righteously.

  15. 9 Rise up, ye women that are at ease; hear my voice, ye careless daughters; give ear unto my speech.
    14 Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks;
    15 Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.

    God has ordered us women and daughters to pray and intercede until His Spirit is poured out, until the land is fruitful so much that it is like a forest; Let’s do it!

  16. You are of YOUR father

    Isaiah 32:6
    For the vile person will speak villany,
    and his heart will work iniquity,
    to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the Lord,
    to make empty the soul of the hungry,
    and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.

    The Hebrew definitions really bring this passage to light.

    The fool will speak with disgraceful, senseless, immoral vile words. His will is set on seeming self will which is actually serving his idol, or god. As a job they work moral filth, profaneness, and hypocrisy. The speak confusion, moral, and religious perversions against the Holy God of all! This is to pour out the soul of those hungry for God, and to stop the fountain of life from the lips of the dry mouth.

    Those who know the difference between right, and wrong but just don’t care are dangerous. Their words reveal their master, and their motives.

    The wise are opposite of this. They speak graceful, meaningful, and moral words. Their will is set on pleasing God, and serving The Lord. As a job they work moral uprightness, and righteousness, holiness, and genuine Christendom. They speak peace, and uphold the character of the Holy God of all! To ensure the hungry for the word are fed, and starve not. To make certain those who are thirsty are led to the fountain!

    Words are powerful. What you speak reveals your king.

    John 8:39
    They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

  17. This chapter illustrates place. There is a place and purpose for all. One must purpose to be in alignment with the Word of God, and what sayeth the man of God, to ensure one is in place; “And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places”. What a mighty God we serve! May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  18. In these next verses, we all are awaiting upon and praying to be fruitful with that new Church. New fields, new forrest, new fruit, and the work of righteousness in quietness and assurance for ever. But, I believe it’s O.K. to be loud when you celebrate in the Lord.

    15 Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.

    16 Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.

    17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of
    righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

  20. 18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

    Deuteronomy 33:27
    The eternal God is thy refuge,
    and underneath are the everlasting arms:
    and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee;
    and shall say, Destroy them.

    Luke 6:47-49
    Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock:and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it:for it was founded upon a rock. But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

    Our sure dwelling is not elusive or imaginary. The bible declares that God is our refuge and we can abide in Him! Ironically, Jesus compares doing what He said to a man who builds his house on the rock and it withstand the storm, sounds much more peaceable than ignoring the Word of God and our house crumbling as soon as a storm of life hits.

  21. 17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. 18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

    As Gods children we should be the peace makers and not those that are very loud. When there is peace , it draws those that need it to come into that house. We must be peaceable.

  22. It is our duty to cause peace not ruckus or trouble. When people feel the sense of peace that God can bring in their lives it draws them to The Lord. As His children it’s our duty to bring the lost to Him and creating peace can do that! Lord let me be a peace maker and not a trouble maker!

  23. the Lord will greatly bless his people. Wherever they plant seed, bountiful crops will spring up. Their cattle and donkeys will graze freely. (Isaiah 32:20 NLT)

    There’s always a blessing around the corner…all we have to do is be patient and praise the one and only that deserves all glory and honor

  24. 17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

    18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

    What more can I add to these verses than what proverbs says:
    Proverbs 16:7
    When a man’s ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies be at peace with him…

    The fruit of living in righteousness is to have peace. God has it under control, that is assurance. Later on in this chapter tells us that blessed are those that sow beside all waters. We need to keep on working for the Kingdim sowing the word of God, the good news, the light. That is righteous living. You will have peace and be blessed.

  25. 32:18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

    Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. -Matthew 5:9

    My right now is that I would have peace that would pass all understanding. There are things that I just don’t understand right and I need the pace of God.

  26. Stand up, stand up for what you believe in

    But look! A king will rule in the right way, and his leaders will carry out justice. Each one will stand as a shelter from high winds, provide safe cover in stormy weather. Each will be cool running water in parched land, a huge granite outcrop giving shade in the desert. Anyone who looks will see, anyone who listens will hear. The impulsive will make sound decisions, the tongue-tied will speak with eloquence. No more will fools become celebrities, nor crooks be rewarded with fame. For fools are fools and that’s that, thinking up new ways to do mischief. They leave a wake of wrecked lives and lies about God, Turning their backs on the homeless hungry, ignoring those dying of thirst in the streets. And the crooks? Underhanded sneaks they are, inventive in sin and scandal, Exploiting the poor with scams and lies, unmoved by the victimized poor. But those who are noble make noble plans, and stand for what is noble. (Isaiah 32:1-8 MSG)

    Why do we often let things get out of control? Why do we allow things to have footholds and/or sneak in? Media and other worldly influences bring garbage to our homes daily. God wants us to be pure and of a clean heart. This would allow us the opportunity to minister the way God intends us to minister. We must then stand when God calls us to stand, not the world.

  27. The Answer

    18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

    When we have a need, it usually becomes a burden to us that begins to sap our peace if it goes unfulfilled. Sometimes even a small thing can feel like a major thorn if given enough time. But God is our Answer; for fruitfulness, refreshing, healing, restoration, peace… No matter how big or small you may esteem the problem, God is the Answer and He is well-able to take care of us.

    1 Peter 5:7
    Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

    Hebrews 4:14-16
    14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

    Hebrews 12:1-2
    1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

  28. Complacent Women

    9 “Rise up, ye women that are at ease; hear my voice, ye careless daughters; give ear unto my speech.10 Many days and years shall ye be troubled, ye careless women: for the vintage shall fail, the gathering shall not come.11 Tremble, ye women that are at ease; be troubled, ye careless ones: strip you, and make you bare, and gird sackcloth upon your loins.12 They shall lament for the teats, for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine.13 Upon the land of my people shall come up thorns and briers; yea, upon all the houses of joy in the joyous city:”

    Jerusalem’s wealthy class is self-indulgent, living for their own comfort and pleasure. The rich or Isrealite women particularly exemplify this attitude, and Isaiah vehemently protests the way they go “walking along with outstretched necks, flirting with their eyes, tripping along with minicing steps, with ornaments jingling on their ankles.” (vs16). These wealthy, self-satisfied women consider themselves immune to judgment, but the Lord reminds them that the calamity of judgment can hit at any time. Within a year (vs10) the land will turn desolate, their security will wither along with the fruit of their vines. Their laughter will turn to laments, and their silk, to sackcloth.

    Though they enjoy life’s blessings, they mistakenly place their trust and security in them. People change and circumstances can shift at any time. But “he who fears the Lord has a secure fortress, and for his children it will be a refuge” (Pr 14:26).

  29. A Fun World

    14 Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks;

    You can have alot of fun in the world like staying out all night drinking, fighting with the drunks, or lying to a stranger so that you feel like superman for the night. I have been there. I thought it was fun. The joy was very short lived…

    Wake up with a splitting headache that you cant tell if it is from the alcohol or the drunk that hit you with a pool stick as you were tackling him. Hands hurt for a week at work, trying to lay tile but you can hardly grip the trowel because your hands are so swollen from the abuse that you put them through. You put your hands in the bucket of water to clean the sponge out to wipe down a tile and the sting of the cuts from the teeth marks getting infected remind you of the night before. You are married for 2 weeks and you get news that you already have 2 children that you didn’t know about. A real superhero!!

    This is he joy of wild asses…

    Your “FUN” will catch up to you.

    Numbers 32:23
    …and be sure your sin will find you out .

    While you think you are living it up, your calling is slowly dying.
    We cannot waist a single moment to live for God!

    The Fun World is just a trap to get you to miss your calling

    Separating yourself or Holiness or Standards are just the daily checks that make sure that we are as far away from the world as we can be, because someone found out that the Fun World isn’t so Fun after all.

  30. Fruit of Righteousness

    17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

    Proverbs 28:1 says, “The wicked man flees though no one pursues.” The wicked, because of their sinful ways and guilty consciences, live fearfully and “on gaurd”. They suspect those who might expose their actions. In contrast, the righteous live peacefully, unafraid because they live according to God’s laws. They have nothing to hide. No one can accuse them.

    Even with the righteous stumble, the Lord will hold them up (Ps 37:24), even if they fall “seven times” (Pr 24:16). Why? Because the righteous confess their sins and recieve God’s forgiveness (Ps 103:3). On the other hand, the unrepentant wicked are “brought down by calamity” (Pr 24:16). How much “better the little that the righteous have than the wealth of many wicked; for the power of the wicked will be broken, but the Lord upholds the righteous” (Ps 37:16-17).

  31. 17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
    18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

    The promises of God are always such a blessing for us. He will not withhold any good thing from those who love him. I’m thankful for the peace that he gives and that this world cannot take away!

  32. 17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
    18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

    The promises of God are always such a blessing for us. He will not withhold any good thing from those who love him. I’m thankful for the peace that he gives and that this world cannot take away!

  33. 9 Rise up, ye women that are at ease; hear my voice, ye careless daughters; give ear unto my speech.

    It’s time to take a stand and hear what thus saith the Lord. Too many times we block out the voice of God when we should be listening. If your ears are not attentive to what God is saying, then it is focused on what the devil is saying. Listening to the enemy will only bring destruction. Open your ears to what God is uttering and follow his commandments.

  34. 1-8 But look! A king will rule in the right way,
    and his leaders will carry out justice.
    Each one will stand as a shelter from high winds,
    provide safe cover in stormy weather.
    Each will be cool running water in parched land,
    a huge granite outcrop giving shade in the desert.
    Anyone who looks will see,
    anyone who listens will hear.
    The impulsive will make sound decisions,
    the tongue-tied will speak with eloquence.
    No more will fools become celebrities,
    nor crooks be rewarded with fame.
    For fools are fools and that’s that,
    thinking up new ways to do mischief.
    They leave a wake of wrecked lives
    and lies about God,
    Turning their backs on the homeless hungry,
    ignoring those dying of thirst in the streets.
    And the crooks? Underhanded sneaks they are,
    inventive in sin and scandal,
    Exploiting the poor with scams and lies,
    unmoved by the victimized poor.
    But those who are noble make noble plans,
    and stand for what is noble.

    Time to turn your backs on unrighteousness and walk into righteousness. Fools are always on their job being foolish. They are always thinking of new ways to bring others into their life. Birds of the same feather flock together… so what type of feathers do you have?
