Isaiah 43

1 But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.

Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.

Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;

I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;

Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears.

Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth.

10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

11 I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour.

12 I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, that I am God.

13 Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?

14 Thus saith the Lord, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships.

15 I am the Lord, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King.

16 Thus saith the Lord, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;

17 Which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow.

18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

20 The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.

21 This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.

22 But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel.

23 Thou hast not brought me the small cattle of thy burnt offerings; neither hast thou honoured me with thy sacrifices. I have not caused thee to serve with an offering, nor wearied thee with incense.

24 Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices: but thou hast made me to serve with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities.

25 I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

26 Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.

27 Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me.

28 Therefore I have profaned the princes of the sanctuary, and have given Jacob to the curse, and Israel to reproaches.

  1. God gave a promise to the nation of Judah:
    When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. when you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. Isaiah 43:2

    God doesn’t say, ” If you pass through the rivers,” or ” if you walk through the fire.” No, He says when; it’s a given that we will have these experiences. but God does say that we will not go through these experiences alone. He will be with us. nothing that happens, no matter how terrible it may look, will be truly, eternally disastrous, for He knows how much we can bear, and He will not let the water drown us or the fire burn us up. No matter how dark an awful the battle we face, God will bring a safely through.
    when you are fearful or discouraged, what a comfort it is to have a friend who spends tine with you and has ,words of encouragement for you! How much more reassuring to know that not merely a human friends but the Almighty God Himself, who loves you so dearly, is with you in those experiences. at times you may be discouraged, and sometimes you will be afraid. in those times you may feel alone He is always with you, and no matter how fierce the battle, He will never give up.

  2. God knows the end from the beginning. even when we did not know him he knew us and was reaching for us. God will see us through our problems if we will be faithful to him and his word.

  3. 13 Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?

    John 8:58 KJV
    58. Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

    Revelation 4:8 KJV
    8. And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him ; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

  4. What a mighty God we serve!!!!

    Our God knows exactly where we are and He will see us through… He will make sure that we have water in the wilderness and rivers in the deserts. What does He ask in return???? Worship, sacrifice, and Praise!!! That is all, He wants us to remember Him for He has never forgotten us.

  5. Making God serve with sin

    24 Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices: but thou hast made me to serve with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities.

    Hebrews 13:5
    Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have:for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

    God keeps his word. He never walks away. Even when we tread through the murky sewers of sin, and filth of this world he is right there. He cannot lie.

    However his presence does not justify, or condone violating his word. We are not saved because we can feel him. He is still God.

    God is looking for genuinity. He wants people serve him from the heart, will the whole will, and not just the appearance.

    Ephesians 6:5-6
    Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

    God isn’t looking for an outward show but an inward glow! When we live double lives he is forced to see the vile, and putrid antithesis of his holy nature.

    It’s easy to clean up!

    Isaiah 1:16-18
    Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
    Learn to do well;
    seek judgment, relieve the oppressed,
    judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
    Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord:
    though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow;
    though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

    We have an advocate with the Father. If we confess our sins he is faithful, and just to forgive us of our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

    The path of God in heaven is paved with solid gold. When we cleanse ourselves, and walk with him down the path he chooses it’s like walking on gold here on earth.

    His presence is heaven!

  6. Thank you Jesus for caring me through the cares of this world. I am not partaker of this world for you Jesus.

  7. WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?

    11 I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour.

    In a society filled with personal agenda’s, secret vendetta’s and inflated ego’s. We live in a society that for most people is a strive to survive, taking where they can and hoping to make another day.

    The LORD declares here that HE is LORD and Savior. Most people today are looking for a SAVIOR but not so much a LORD. GOD declares here that HE is BOTH.

    if I am looking for a Savior, i may as well look for HIM to be my LORD, to HONOR HIM, to WORSHIP HIM, to SUBMIT to HIM, to OBEY HIM.

    Make JESUS the LORD of your life today and receive ALL of HIS benefits.

    On that notable, historic day of Pentecost the Apostle Peter declared these words:

    Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

    Today, I declare I am looking for a LORD to guide, influence, instruct, correct, protect and save me.

    Isaiah 55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

    iSeek
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  8. 9 Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth.

    10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

    11 I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour.

    What happened this year at NAYC? People gathered from many nations, we came together to do what? To declare that our Lord is God and enlarge our faith so that we can become the witnesses that God has called us to be. To let all Nations know that … The Lord our God is One Lord!

  9. 19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

    God can always do something new. This may have always been the way it has been done but God will do something new. The way of the law was sacrifice of a specific animal to atone for sins but God did a new thing for His people when He stepped out of heaven and gave Himself as the sacrifice. It was such a new thing that some people could not accept it. I don’t want to be so caught up in how things have been done that I put God in a box and not allow Him to do anything new in my life.

  10. 2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

    This brought to my mind how He promised to be with us till the end of the world.

    Matthew 28:20 teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you. And lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” Amen.

    This is just a great assurance that no matter what we go through He will be with us. He will see that we pass through it. We must believe that He is there. Our only job to is to trust and keep on proclaiming that He is both Lord and God

  11. Ye are my withness, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed neither shall there be after me.

  12. I have declared, and have saved, and i have shewed, when there was no strange god among you:therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the lord, that i am god.

  13. 11 I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour

    This is the greatest Statement that can be made about, by or for the Lord.
    There is no savior beside me!! We might look everywhere for some thing to replace him. Many people have searched out for another way. How do you think all these other movements came from. There has never been another savior. There are many that claim to be leaders, but not one of them have been raised from the dead. Jesus made this statement destroy this temple and in 3 days I will raise it up again.
    Jesus is the first and the last. He is also very thing in between.

    HELLO Jesus Christ is LORD of all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  14. Well god is speak through Isaiah to the people of what he did for the people in the past book and talk about what kind of sin people do.

  15. 1 But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

    Thank You Jesus.

  16. “But forget all that— it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. (Isaiah 43:18, 19 NLT)

    Are you ready? The Lord has started some marvelous works through the POFW. Opening blind eyes, healing cancer and even make hearts. It’s not over yet, it’s only the beginning. Quit looking at the past, keep your eyes on The Lord and let’s go NOW! I can’t wait to see what else God has in store.

    Isaiah 42:9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

  17. God has always and always be there for us. When we turn our back on Him, He’s still there with His arms open wide. He will see us through everything if all we do is ask!

  18. 15 I am the Lord, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King.

    When you call on Jesus,
    All things are possible
    You can mount on wings like eagles’ and soar
    When you call on Jesus,
    Mountains are gonna fall
    ‘Cause He’ll move heaven and earth to come rescue you when you–

    When we don’t know what else to do we can always call on Jesus and he will be there to help us

  19. 8 Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears.

    God told the blind and deaf to come FORTH! He wasn’t reluctant to heal; he wants you healed!

    He’s calling your name. Do you hear Jesus Christ crying out to you, “Come forth!” I guarantee by faith in Christ that you will be healed and you will receive a blessing in the name of JESUS.
    It’s his Will.

    JEHOVA RAPHA- The Lord my healer

  20. This chapter illustrates purpose. The Lord paid for all sin, and as such one would be wise to obey; “Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him”. What a mighty God we serve! May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  21. I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins .

    Redemption is for God’s glory.

    We live In A day and age that views salvation as the happiness of man. Man is saved for the benefit of
    mankind. This
    Is not how it is intended. Salvation comes to us for the glory of God. When someone living in sin and going to face eternal judgement abandons that life with repentance, gets filled with the Holy Spirit, and lives a life of sacrifice for the call of God-God is glorified. Salvation for man kind ends in the glory of God.

    Romans 12:1 shows us what is expected from us. We live for God b/c of the love he shows us through Calvary. The cross is where God proves to us how great he is. He, God Almighty, laid down his life for the lesser creation. The ultimate demonstration of love through humility.

    If any man had a reason to be puffed up, it was Jesus. However, he walked in love and humility. You want to be humble in this life that way you can demonstrate Gods love. It’s time to demonstrate a new meaning to Christianity and Pentecost. It starts with humility and ends in love. They will know we are Christians by our love for another.

    God saved you for his purpose. We called you out for his glory. Any benefit you receive from God’s calling is a byproduct t not the end to the means. The end of mankind is not for the happiness of man, but for the glory of God.

    Lay aside pride and realize what your purpose is. What are you looking for? Are you looking for your own happiness in serving God or are you looking for his glory??

  22. 5 Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;
    6 I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;
    7 Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

    We have all been called from around this great country to be apart of the best church. The seed is different so that we can cultivate together, and multiply.

  23. Forgive and Forget

    18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

    19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

    You can never get over something if you don’t forgive. I’m so glad that he forgave me and threw my sin into the sea of forgetfulness. If we are made in his image and are full if his spirit we should be able to forgive. Forgiveness is the first step to victory.

    God has done a new thing in me. Thank you Jesus I am a new man. He made a river inside of me.

    We are all called to forgive and forget as he does. Our past is gone and our future awaits.

    Lets go get IT!

  24. iLove to eat the Word

    Fear Not

    1 But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

    NET
    The Lord Will Rescue His People
    Now, this is what the LORD says, the one who created you, O Jacob, and formed you, O Israel: “Don’t be afraid, for I will protect you. I call you by name, you are mine.

    We are the people of the Name! We are Jesus Name only! We are baptized in the Name of Jesus! We have received the Spirit of Jesus! Our God is Jesus! Our Father is Jesus! Our Spirit is filled with Jesus!

    WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE WE AFRAID OF AND WHY…

    FEAR NOT POFW!

  25. God’s Witnesses

    Isa 43:10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

    In this chapter God seems to be setting up a courtroom filled with the nations (vs5-9), and a repentant Israel is the primary witness. Israel will testify that the Lord is God, not the nation’s idols. In the OT God repeats the claim “I am the Lord” 156 times, usually when he gives instructions to his people. In Leviticus 19:4 he states, “Do not turn to idols or make gods of cast metal for yourselves. I am the Lord your God.” In Isaiah he thunders this command to the wayward nations. He allows no other gods before him (Ex 20:3; Dt 5:7).

    Today we are Apostolic following the same doctrine as the first church born in Acts, followed by the Apostles – those who were …

    *Eyewitnesses of Jesus Christ, his death, burial and resurrection
    Of the first generation to receive the understanding and experience of salvation by faith in the Life, Death, Resurrection and Eternal Name of Jesus Christ.
    *Commissioned and Authorized by Jesus Christ for the preaching of THE GOSPEL

    Today we witness the move of God physically and in the Holy Spirit. From the original 12 diciples (Lk 6:13) comes the Apostles. In Mat 10:1 “Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.” He armed his 12 with His authority. In Matt 28:18 Jesus commissioned the disciples upon his assension of what do do as His witnesses to all nations ..”Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.19Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.20Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

    Witnesses = Ambassadors:

    2Cor 18 “And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. 19For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. 20So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” 21For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin,e so that we could be made right with God through Christ.”

  26. 1 But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

    We are the redeemed God. He won’t withhold any good thing from us. He loves us enough to correct us, bless us & lead us the way we should go so we can be saved. Let his word be our guide. I love my Lord & he loves me!

  27. Evidence of God’s love and mercy is seen in this chapter. Even when Israel turned their back on God, He still declared unto them promises and provision.

    He has called us by name, purchased us with His own blood, and destined us to be used in His kingdom. We must not turn our backs and seek after idols and carnal things, but walk in His ways, keep His commandments and do His will.

  28. How awesome that the Lord goes out of his way just to tell us how much he loves us. To explain himself to us in detail.

    Lord you have complete authority over my life, you created me and taught me that there is no one like you. I want more of you Lord. Use me to do your holy will and mold me to be what you want me to be.

  29. God keeps his word/promises

    2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

    God is so awesome that he gives us the accounts of these things happening in his word. That builds our faith. We see that it says he will, and then he does. If our God does not change, then the things he tells us will come to pass too. Both of these things came through adversity. Lord help us to pass the tests and stay focused on you as we walk through adversities. –amen.

    What a river!
    And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left. And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his horsemen. And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the Lord looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians, And took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the Lord fighteth for them against the Egyptians. And the Lord said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen. And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the Lord overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them. (Exodus 14:21-28 KJV)

    Walking through the fire!
    Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. (Daniel 3:16-18 KJV)
    Therefore because the king’s commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego. And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego, came forth of the midst of the fire. And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king’s counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them. (Daniel 3:22-27 KJV)

  30. An Expected End

    1 But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

    4 Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.

    13 Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?

    18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

    19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

    Jeremiah 29:11
    For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

    No matter how it seems, God has a plan for us and is working for our good. He loves us and we’re precious in His sight and our future matters to Him. Whatever the challenge, the trial isn’t meant to be our grave but a platform of praise and victory. The conclusion of it?

    21 This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.

    Psalms 118:17
    I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

    If we want IT, we can have IT!

  31. Many great things to notice here. We are called by name and we are his. He has redeemed us….and God bids us to come to reason with him that we may be justified. He is an awesome God and he keeps giving. So, reason with him and let him forget all our sins. Amen & Amen………

  32. 7 Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

    Formed

    In the begining God created everything but man, by speaking it into existance. Man was created, formed, by the hands of God, and given breath, by God so as to be able to live…

    I am still awed by the evangelist’s words when he explaine dit out to us like that…

  33. 1 But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

    2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

  34. Verse 7 AMP “Even everyone who is called by My name, whom I have created for My glory, whom I have formed, whom I have made.”

    Same verse MSG “I want them back, every last one who bears my name, every man, woman, and child Whom I created for my glory, yes, personally formed and made each one.’” I was made to praise the King of Kings.
