Isaiah 54

1 Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the Lord.

Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;

For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.

Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.

For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.

For the Lord hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.

For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.

In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer.

For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.

10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.

11 O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.

12 And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones.

13 And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children.

14 In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.

15 Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.

16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.

17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

  1. 17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

    THE RIGHT ARMOUR

Eph 6:11-18 list the armour that we as children of God must wear but if we are a child of God and living for God. No weapon formed against us shall prosper.
What an awesome God, the enemy can fight with all the weapons in his arsenal, but to no avail because the Lord is on my side. Not even the waging tongue that is loose on both ends shall rise up against us.

If we could learn how to be servants of the Lord. What would you have me to do today Jesus? I look forward to the day when my righteousness is of the Lord. What a day that will be! What an awesome God we serve!! I want to make it to the next level in the Holy Ghost.

If Jesus is on our side, (What a thought) No one can prevail against us!!!!

  2. 14 In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.

15 Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.

When we are established in righteousness, we don’t have to fear. We know that when they come against us, they cannot prevail because He didn’t send them.

  3. The divine strategy in the dilemma

    Isaiah 54:16-17
Behold, I have created the smith
that bloweth the coals in the fire,
    and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work;
and I have created the waster to destroy.
    No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper;
and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

We quote this scripture in direct relation to the devil. We say no weapon he has formed against us shall prosper, but this scripture isn’t referring specifically to the plans of the enemy.

Rather the enemy is a puppet, and the blacksmith forms the weapon. The enemy may carry it, but the weapon was designed specifically to strategically hit.

The weapon formed against us hurts, but also cuts excess, builds character, and is only as powerful as God allows it to be. He made the blacksmith.

The destroyer, or waster ruins, and decays situations. Suddenly storms can sweep in, and turn our world upside down. Yet the waster is also made by God.

In the attack there is strategy. Everything seems to fall apart during this time, but God still holds us together. The trials are for us, and not against us. He allows the storms!

Don’t focus on the weapon, the waster or the blacksmith. They are God’s. Focus on him. It doesn’t matter what accusation comes, what is lost, or what is cut. The weapon was formed to help us become what he wants!

    Genesis 50:20
But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.

  4. Our Heritage!!!!!!

17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

Our heritage is VICTORY!!! For He gave us Victory over every weapon, Victory over every word against us, Victory over everything. Our Lord Jesus Christ, Redeemed us, Restored us, and gave us VICTORY IN HIM!!!! Thank you Jesus!!! AMEN.

  5. 5 For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.

6 For the Lord hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.

My husband is the maker, any good relationship costs allot, takes sacrifice. Loyalty. Trust. Love. Honesty. Perseverance. Just the start of things we need to have a good relationship. Let me not forget COMMUNICATION!! He redeemed us, he married us, HE LOVES US! And so many times we neglect to give him the time of day he deserves. He’s done so much for us, and not that we could ever deserve all that he’s done but it woudnt to try and be more deserving. It wouldn’t kill us to do more for him, after all he’s done so much for us. When society, family, friends (the world) rejected and refused us he took us in. He didn’t look at all our scars and shun us like others have. He didn’t care that we had unnessisary baggage. He said let me heal you, he loved us when we were strangers to him, he traded our beauty for ashes. He married us although we don’t deserve someone as great as him, he still does all he can to prosper us. I thank you Jesus because when everyone else refused me you were there. I thank you Jesus for loving me, keeping me, healing me, saving me. Thank you Jesus

  6. At NAYC Bro. Gaddy preached about ‘3 alters’ one of the alters you are supposed to never neglect is the alter of heritage. My heritage is great, free, and loving. God I can’t thank you enough for all that you have done for me that you didn’t have to do for me. I love you Jesus!

  7. For the mountains may move and the hills disappear, but even then my faithful love for you will remain. My covenant of blessing will never be broken,” says the Lord, who has mercy on you. I will teach all your children, and they will enjoy great peace. But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have spoken! (Isaiah 54:10, 13, 17 NLT)

I’m so thankful for Gods peace and Word that is forever settled. And His unfailing love for us that cause Him to go a little farther to bring us salvation. Thank you Jesus for men of God who hear your voice and obey your Word. Thank you Elder Tallant

He went on a little farther and bowed with his face to the ground, praying, “My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.” (Matthew 26:39 NLT)

  9. 14.- in righteousness shall thou be stablished : thou shall be far from oppression ; for thou shall not fear; and from terror for it shall not come near thee.

Ok, this is a super POWEFUL promise of ALMIGHTY GOD to us and for us.

  10. THINK BIG

Opportunities to increase or grow are found on the backside of Prayer and Praise. The WORD of the LORD here commands that we not allow our situation or condition define or determine our PRAISE. Every BLESSING/MIRACLE begins in the courtroom of Prayer and Praise.

Following Prayer and Praise, we are challenged to activate FAITH. FAITH means I will GO to WORK.

  11. For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.

8 In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer.

9 For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.

10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.

Hold on when you are going through a trial. God promises it is just for a little while. Trials have many purposes if they are allowed by God. We are always stronger and wiser on the other side of trials. Great is his love for us and we have the promise of his mercies. It may seem that the enemy has the upper hand – but wait upon the Lord! He will renew your strength and promises:

17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

Let the weak say “I am strong!”

  12. HALELUJAH!!! HALELUJAH!!! HALELUJAH!!!
5 For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
When people ask if I am married I say YES!!! They have no idea that i am speaking of JESUS!!! yes JESUS and not the one from mexico =D……..
JESUS IS MY HUSBAND!!! JESUS IS A GREAT HUSBAND!!! HE LOVES ME UNCONDITIONALLY, HE HELPS ME, HE HAS RESTORED ME, HE KEEPS ME, HE LISTENS, HE HAS MADE ME THE APPLE OF HIS EYE, OOOOO JESUS YOU SUFFERED AND DIED FOR MY SINS!!! THERE IS NO ONE LIKE YOU!!! HALELUJAH!!! THANK YOU JESUS FOR ACCEPTING ME!!! I LOVE YOU DADDY!!! YOU ARE AWESOME!!! THANK YOU JESUS!!!

  13. The Peace of God
And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children. Isaiah 54:13

A child who accepts You as her /his savior possesses an inner peace that no army can ever guarantee , Lord. Turmoil is part of our life on earth , and children sometimes have much to worry about, much to fear from others. But a child who clings to You knows a special peace that overcomes all fears. The victory has already been won, and she/he has nothing to fear from the hands of her Savior. This knowledge is the greatest gift I can pass on to my children. I have the faith that overcomes, and I wish this blessing for them. Help me teach all our children about You, about Your great promises, and about the peace that I pray will be their inheritance.

  14. 17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

    Your heritage does matter.

  15. 17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

Thank you Jesus for my heritage!

  16. 2 Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;

In this season of life we are being stretched. Thanks be to God that our boarders are enlarging.

  17. 8 In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer.
17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

Nothing that man can do will last because the lord is on my side. I will STRETCH my belief in him and have faith for the blessing in the end.

  18. For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

  19. OH, HOW HE LOVES ME!!!!!

Your Redeemer God says: “I left you, but only for a moment. Now, with enormous compassion, I’m bringing you back. In an outburst of anger I turned my back on you— but only for a moment. It’s with lasting love that I’m tenderly caring for you. “This exile is just like the days of Noah for me: I promised then that the waters of Noah would never again flood the earth. I’m promising now no more anger, no more dressing you down. For even if the mountains walk away and the hills fall to pieces, My love won’t walk away from you, my covenant commitment of peace won’t fall apart.” The God who has compassion on you says so. (Isaiah 54:7-10 MSG)
I’m so thankful that The Lord has showed His unconditional love towards me. He had every right to be angry. I was so caught up in my life, being consumed with sin. Living my life as I desired, fulfilling the lustful desires of my flesh. Meanwhile shutting Him out, and rejecting His voice. But, now I can see and understand that The Lord has shown me What it truly means to live, since I’ve been born again, I’ll never go back to that old lifestyle, don’t even have a desire!!!!!! I won’t turn back!!!
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. (Romans 6:1-15, 18 KJV)

  20. 16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.

When everything is heating up in life, problems arise, and the refiners fire seems out of control just remember who is in control. We aren’t in control, our situations and circumstances aren’t in control, the fire isn’t in control. The created is subject to the creator.

We can look at ourselves as the instrument being made ready for work. The word instrument here can mean vessel, so we are a vessel in the fire to be used for Gods work. He’s in control of what causes the fires in our lives to refine us, he created them!

Alongside that he says he created the waster to destroy, not only does that mean to literally destroy but the word for destroy can also be translated to bind. We learned in Job how satan goes before The Lord to ask permission to tempt us.
    Job 1:6-8
Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them. And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?
The Lord allows us to be tempted and tried, not so we will fall but rather so we will turn to Him and allow Him to shape us to be used by Him.

When in the refiners fire, we can choose to respond correctly and know we will come out stronger and better for it and that this too shall pass

  21. Verses 2-3 NLT “Enlarge your house; build an addition. Spread out your home, and spare no expense! For you will soon be bursting at the seams. Your descendants will occupy other nations and resettle the ruined cities.” This reminds me of POFW and how we need a new building as we are bursting at the seams. Enlarge…..stretch….it out!

Verse 17 AMP “But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord.”

  22. 7 “For a brief moment I abandoned you,
but with great compassion I will take you back.

Everytime we allow sin, a bad habit, or knowingly doing something wrong, God forsakes us. For that brief moment, God cant hear us, we have allowed God to distance himself from us. Asking for forgiveness each and everyday brings God back in our presence. What a joy it is knowing God is around you! Always have prayer, praise & worship daily to renew our spiritual growth in God.

  23. (MSG) 8 In an outburst of anger I turned my back on you – but only for a moment. It’s with lasting love that I’m tenderly caring for you.

God is a amazing God there is no one like him! God will always have lasting love and care for his children! 🙂
What a mighty God we serve!!!

  24. (Isaiah 54:8, 9 NLT) In a burst of anger I turned my face away for a little while. But with everlasting love I will have compassion on you,” says the Lord, your Redeemer. “Just as I swore in the time of Noah that I would never again let a flood cover the earth, so now I swear that I will never again be angry and punish you. (Isaiah 54:8, 9 NLT)

My God loves me so much even tho the many dumb thing I’ve done – Amen
I live for a God who cares ,and he’ll care for you !!!! And he will forgive you!!!

  25. 10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.

Things concerning this world do not affect God. This perishable earth may change forever, but our God stays the same and offers the same salvation from age to age.

Hebrews 13:8- Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

  26. This chapter illustrates surety. Increase and safety was prophesied. One must trust in the Lord, for surety is of the Lord; “This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord”. What a mighty God we serve! May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  27. 1 Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the Lord.

    7

with great mercies will I gather thee.

  29. For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but

    7

with great mercies will I gather thee.

In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a

    8

moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer.
this chapter shows the great mercy of God and how even though he may be angry with us His mercy endureth forever.

  30. Reminded again of the message Pastor preached a few weeks ago “STRETCH”

    2 Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;

3 For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.

This is again a reminder to me of what God is doing behind the scenes for POFW. He doesn’t want me to forget that it is His desire for us to all we can, and He will do the rest because the harvest He has for us shall break forth on the right hand and the left, and He will add to the church such as should be saved, which is the ultimate dream of Impacting Lives on a daily basis!

  31. 7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.

He is merciful! We don’t deserve what he has done for us but we receive it.

  32. 17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

It may appear at times that the difficult things we encounter in our lives may overcome us. But if we trust in the Lord the very thing that we feel is going to take us out is what will propels us into the destiny that God has designed for us.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. -Jeremiah 29:11

Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me. -Micah 7:8

I shall see great things in God!

  33. 15 Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.

    WE WIN!

“No weapon formed against me shall prosper”, says God. “Also, whom ever comes against me WILL fall because of His love for me. Many times throughout my life I have had people that I wanted to see them fall, but before I can get peace I end up praying for them and their safety.
The word tells us “to whom much is given, much is required.” It also says that we must bless those who despite fully use us. And that those who have been forgiven much, love much…
I have been forgive of very much, and I do love much. I live in a country where everything is at my fingertips. Many nights I pray for people that either have or are currently trying to use me, that they migh be converted too.
We already know that we win! We must act that way too. Real winners don’t gloat over others’ trials but they do encourage, pray for , and encourage others to succeed. We too must rise to the occasion and pray for those set against us.

  34. Stretch
Pastor taught us recently about stretching our tents. Whe things come at us we are to do what God and our authority want us to do quickly. This might make us seem a little stretched or spread thin for a while, but then we grow!

    2 Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;

When we are finally able to stretch our tents and step away from of fleshly self, God has some wonderful things in store for us.

17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

  35. Spoken

17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

The devil would have us crushed and defeated, and he likes to speak all sorts of negativity and accusation so we lie down in the grave prepared for him. But God speaks life where the enemy speaks death. There is victory in the shadow of God’s covering. We must abide in His will so we can have the safety of triumphing through Him. What the enemy has spoken must always yield to what Jesus speaks, and we bring life when we speak in agreement with Him. What do we agree with that’s spoken over our lives?

    Psalms 91:1-2
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

    Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

    Hebrews 1:1-3
    1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

    John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

  36. 10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.

I am forever thankful for a great God that gives grace, mercy and unfailing love.. Where will we be without it? He teaches us to follow His commands, and be like Him showing His loving nature.

1 Peter 4:8 Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.

Thankful for His promises and the heritage He gives us…
17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.
It really is the best life and the blessed life. Thank you Jesus!

  37. 17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper ; And every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgement thou shalt condem. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord. And their righteousness is of me , saith the Lord . One of my favorite verses !

  38. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal. Thank God he has given us the power over everything the enemy attempts to throw at us. The bible says no weapon formed against us, so there is no need to fear th enemy.

  39. Like a Barren Woman

In the culture of Isaiah’s day, an unmarried woman or a barren wife sat at the bottom of the social hierarchy. To be husbandless or childless disgraced a woman and her family, and a husband could divorce his wife if she was infertile. Even a widow who once bore children could become an outcast, with people suggesting that her widowed state was a result of sin. For women, success and acceptance equaled a husband and lots of children. Isaiah compares God’s people to a barren woman, but he promises they’ll not always be ashamed. For a time Jerusalem will be desolate, but later it will be populated and filled with rich and powerful resources. God fulfills this prophecy when the Jews taken captive by the Babylonians return to Jerusalem under the leadership of Ezra and Nehemiah.
