Isaiah 62

1 For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.

And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name.

Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of theLord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.

Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.

For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.

I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence,

And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

The Lord hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured:

But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise theLord; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness.

10 Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people.

11 Behold, the Lord hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

12 And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.

  1. Our Region is Restored, Salvation has come!!!
You will no longer be called, “Abandoned,” and your land will no longer be called “Desolate.” Indeed, you will be called “My Delight is in Her,” and your land “Married.” For the Lord will take delight in you, and your land will be married to him. Come through! Come through the gates! Prepare the way for the people! Build it! Build the roadway! Remove the stones! Lift a signal flag for the nations! They will be called, “The Holy People, the Ones Protected by the Lord.” You will be called, “Sought After, City Not Abandoned.” (Isaiah 62:4, 10, 12 NET)
Our eyes shall see this, there’s plenty of work that needs to be done, this is just the beginning for us. We are living in crucial times. Our work begins with prayer. Nothing can be done without the guidance of The Lord, His Spirit!
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV)
I’m standing on His word today, tomorrow, and forever!!

  2. The Harvest is Ours.

8 The Lord hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured:
9 But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the Lord; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness.

Our harvest will no longer fall to the sides, we will sow it and use it!!!! Thank you Jesus. Be Loud, Be Bold, Salvation is Here!!!!!!!

  3. 10.Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up , cast up the highway; gather out the stones;l lift up a standard the people.

  4. 6 I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence,

7 And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth

    WATCHMEN ON THE WALL

Thank God for the Watchmen, they Watchmen are important to the move of God. These are the men that watch day and night for the welfare of God’s people. They never hold their peace and make great efforts to establish the Lord in your life. Many times these men of God will not receive the rewards of their efforts in this life. They watch with one goal in mind, to see the people of God lift praise to the God of glory.

I know many times we wish Pastor would give us a break from all labor and pushing us to praise God. But the watchman can not rest until he sees the people of God doing what God wants us to do. That is lift up praise, worship and make Jesus the center of our life.

Points to ponder, think about what are you doing for God?

  5. 11 Behold, the Lord hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

  6. 8 The Lord hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured:

  7. HALELUJAH!!! HALELUJAH!!! HALELUJAH!!!

    1 Peter 2:9
    King James Version (KJV)
    9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

    Psalm 8:4-6
4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.
6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

JESUS!!! YOU ARE GREAT AND MIGHTY!!! HALELUJAH!!! YOU ARE AWESOME!!! THERE IS NONE LIKE YOU!!! JESUS, NO OTHER NAME BUT JESUS IN MY GOOD DAYS AND IN MY BETTER DAYS!!! THANK YOU DADDY!!! YOU ARE SO FAITHFUL!!! YOUR MERCY ENDURETH FOREVER!!! HALELUJAH !!! I LOVE YOU DADDY!!! HALELUJAH!!! I THANK YOU!!! I PRAISE YOU JESUS!!!

  8. 12 And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.
We are called to be a holy people,to worship the one true God.
A city not forsaken, we must labor to win our city and not forsake it . Fort Worth needs what we as a church have so we must go out and compel them to come and be a part of God’s great church!

  9. And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name.

and thou shall be called a new name.

  10. 9 But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise theLord; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness.

Since we reap what we sow, then when we sow work we reap rest. The fruit of our labour sustains us in life. What then is work for the kingdom of God? The answer is being a servant, and serving others in Gods kingdom. I would rather be the keeper of the door than to have great wealth. Is than a low place in Gods kingdom? No, it a place of servant hood. Be a servant in the Masters house, because they eat at the Masters table. Come and dine.

  11. 11 Behold, the Lord hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

You want a reward? Do something to deserve it! Reach His people, minister to His people, love His children! His home can’t grow if we stay in our seats and talk amongst ourself. It’s due season to harvest the field, the harvest is ready NOW!

  12. WAKE UP, GET UP, SPEAK UP

1 For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.

For sake of the church of JESUS, purchased by HIS blood, born by HIS Spirit, the Born Again believer cannot be down, stay down or quiet down.

    NOW

Romans 13:11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

I will not shut up, quit or become complacent so long as there are souls/people that have not heard of the beautiful plan of the New Birth salvation.

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

    WAKE UP
Shake yourself from the cares, burdens, weights of this life; it is only temporary. Wash your face, refresh your vision, purpose and calling, washed by HIS WORD.

    GET UP
Encourage yourself in the LORD, save yourself from this untoward generation, YOU have the POWER and AUTHORITY to do this, YOU CAN DO IT!

    SPEAK UP
Confess JESUS and speak HIS WORD, when Moses was fearful of his own speech, GOD made him this promise:

Exodus 4:10 And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.
11 And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man’s mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?
12 Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.

    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  13. 2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name.

My new name! Surely I’m not who I was, I trust nobody is because he makes all things new. A new slate is what we have, empty and ready to be written on. A new destiny we have been given hallelujah. We’re not going in the same direction as before, we’re not the same and four that he’s given us a new name. Stop for a second and really think all that he saved us from, not only from what we’ve done but where we were going. Thank you Jesus, we have seen your righteousness and received our new names. HALLELUJAH I’m not who I was!!!!!

    • iLove to eat the Word

The backsliders are coming home and they will be received back into the fold. Thank-You Jesus

  14. v1 For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem ‘s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.

Prayer is always in order and the prayer of GOD’S people do bring results.
Like the prophet Isaiah ( i ) must
    say to self………
“” I will not keep silent””
    OUR GOD IS FAITHFUL!!!
All of GOD’s promises are positive and sure, and the glory of GOD shines forever.
Put your faith and trust in the LORD .

  15. In this chapter I see change, from old to new. God has saved, delivered, and made us into new creations. Thank you Jesus, I’m not who I was and never became who I’m not; Thank you Jesus, I am who I am today and have God’s will, plan, and purpose ahead of me.

  19. This chapter illustrates assurance. One can rest assured, if the word of God says it, then it shall be so; “Behold, the Lord hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him”. What a mighty God we serve! May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  20. Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken ; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate : but thou shalt be called Hephzibah , and thy land Beulah : for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married .

    Moving!!

This passage reminds me of the land as a personification of the land POFW purchased. It will take a good amount of work to prepare it. It was forsaken, set to be sold for a good amount of years. It’s current situation is desolate. God will delight in the land and be married to the church that dwells in the land. As we enter into the greatest revival this world has ever seen, we will be married to our God. We are moving!

  21. Because I love Zion, I will not keep still. Because my heart yearns for Jerusalem, I cannot remain silent. I will not stop praying for her until her righteousness shines like the dawn, and her salvation blazes like a burning torch. The nations will see your righteousness. World leaders will be blinded by your glory. And you will be given a new name by the Lord ’s own mouth. (Isaiah 62:1, 2 NLT)

  22. 1 For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.
2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name.

This Little Light of Mine….SHINES BRIGHT!

Most of us recall the children’s song “this little light of mine”, but as adults we often get so caught up in the daily grind that we don’t think of whose watching. But God said that not only will He not rest, but He refuses to hold His peace too until Righteousness shines brightly, and salvation is seen as clearly as a burning lamp.

The word tells us that we are the light of this world. It also says that we are as a bight light set ontop of a big hill.

In the country when night falls, it gets dark. The cool thing about the dark, is the light shines so well. A car’s headlights can be seen for miles on a dark night. We too have the chance to shine His righteousness through our lives, reaching for the lost around us. We must always remember that there are many people watghcing to see our every move, because our light shines so brightly… But I’m ready to set a fire, that can be seen all across the reigion. I’m ready to shine bright for Him and all He is doing and has done for me…

  23. Isaiah 62:11
Behold, the Lord hath proclaimed unto the end of the world,
    Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh;
behold, his reward is with him,
    and his work before him.

The word reward here is payment of contract. He made a deal. He laid the price, and when he returns he will have his receipt in hand. He have his blood, his years, his tears, and his life. If it had not been for The Lord where would he be.

  24. Not Forsaken

12 And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.

No matter what happens in life, God is the One we can turn to. I’m reminded of:

    1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Not some, but *all* your care. God cares for us as none other and is faithful. He can hold us and calm us in the midst of the storm.

    Hebrews 13:5-6
5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Circumstances do not dictate God’s love for us; He cares for us through it all.

    iTrust

  25. 6 I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence,

But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand. -Ezekiel 33:6
So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me. -Ezekiel 33:7
    ………
Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. -Ezekiel 33:9

Thank God for watchmen that are appointed by him. They will proclaim what thus saith the Lord without fear or favor.

  26. 6 I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence,

People who watch over our lives that call out to us

  27. When will our praise satisfy God?

6 I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence,

7 And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

We have to set a standard if we claim to be a child of God. He will not be satisfied until his praise is right

    Romans 14:11
For it is written, [As] I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

He is looking for some praise.

    Philippians 1:11
Filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

Get right and Praise God. He will be satisfied with the praise of a righteous man but anything else is a strange fire.

    Leviticus 6:13
Fire shall be kept burning on the altar continually; it shall not go out.

We cannot truly praise him unless the fire of our personal altar of repentance is burning strong.

  28. 8 The Lord hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured:

The Lord has promised to never give the enemies what belongs to us. For we will harvest what belongs to us, no more struggles. He is coming to rescue us!

  29. 2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name.

    A call to destiny…

I am reminded of how the Lord presses us to keep going. One phrase comes to mind, supersize!
A new name is a new begging, new life. Constant change and growth is what we should press to accomplish.
We are told to renew our mind.
Romans 12:2 and do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable perfect will of God.
One definition of the word “renew”

: to make like new : restore to freshness, vigor, or perfection 2 : to make new spiritually : to extensive changes…

But who will get a new name?? On revelation 2:17 the word reads:

Revelation 2:17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

The Lord makes all things new. This is a call to keep going forward to stop looking at the past of what used to be and who you were. He makes all things new and is waiting for us to step forward to keep going and step into our destiny. He has equipped us with all we need the harvest is ready lets go fill the storehouse.

  30. 12 And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.

This is us POFW! We are that city whose light shines in this region! Get ready to see God’s hand perform all that he has planned for this region.

  31. New Names

12 And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.

As if to underscore the point of Isaiah 62:11, God assigns new names to His people (Holy People, Redeemed of the Lord, Sought After, City No Longer Deserted). These names not only reflect Israel’s history (Holy People), spiritual salvation (Redeemed) and physical restoration (City No Longer Deserted), but the title “Sought After” seems to indicate that other nations will revere and seek to be like them. God stamp his irrevocable ownership on the Jews. He claims them as His own- forever.

  32. Verse 4 NLT “Never again will you be called “The Forsaken City” or “The Desolate Land.” Your new name will be “The City of God’s Delight” and “The Bride of God,” for the Lord delights in you and will claim you as his bride.” We’ve been given a new name and claimed as His.
