Jeremiah 14

1 The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah concerning the dearth.

Judah mourneth, and the gates thereof languish; they are black unto the ground; and the cry of Jerusalem is gone up.

And their nobles have sent their little ones to the waters: they came to the pits, and found no water; they returned with their vessels empty; they were ashamed and confounded, and covered their heads.

Because the ground is chapt, for there was no rain in the earth, the plowmen were ashamed, they covered their heads.

Yea, the hind also calved in the field, and forsook it, because there was no grass.

And the wild asses did stand in the high places, they snuffed up the wind like dragons; their eyes did fail, because there was no grass.

O Lord, though our iniquities testify against us, do thou it for thy name’s sake: for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against thee.

O the hope of Israel, the saviour thereof in time of trouble, why shouldest thou be as a stranger in the land, and as a wayfaring man that turneth aside to tarry for a night?

Why shouldest thou be as a man astonied, as a mighty man that cannot save? yet thou, O Lord, art in the midst of us, and we are called by thy name; leave us not.

10 Thus saith the Lord unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the Lord doth not accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins.

11 Then said the Lord unto me, Pray not for this people for their good.

12 When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.

13 Then said I, Ah, Lord God! behold, the prophets say unto them, Ye shall not see the sword, neither shall ye have famine; but I will give you assured peace in this place.

14 Then the Lord said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.

15 Therefore thus saith the Lord concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed.

16 And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; and they shall have none to bury them, them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters: for I will pour their wickedness upon them.

17 Therefore thou shalt say this word unto them; Let mine eyes run down with tears night and day, and let them not cease: for the virgin daughter of my people is broken with a great breach, with a very grievous blow.

18 If I go forth into the field, then behold the slain with the sword! and if I enter into the city, then behold them that are sick with famine! yea, both the prophet and the priest go about into a land that they know not.

19 Hast thou utterly rejected Judah? hath thy soul lothed Zion? why hast thou smitten us, and there is no healing for us? we looked for peace, and there is no good; and for the time of healing, and behold trouble!

20 We acknowledge, O Lord, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers: for we have sinned against thee.

21 Do not abhor us, for thy name’s sake, do not disgrace the throne of thy glory: remember, break not thy covenant with us.

22 Are there any among the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers? art not thou he, O Lord our God? therefore we will wait upon thee: for thou hast made all these things.

  1. 8 O the hope of Israel, the saviour thereof in time of trouble, why shouldest thou be as a stranger in the land, and as a wayfaring man that turneth aside to tarry for a night?

Don’t let God become as a stranger you only see occasionally, or just when you are in trouble. He longs for a close, continual relationship with every one of us and I promise you would be the one who gets the most benefit from it. He has so much to offer and wants to share with us if only we would allow Him.

    Proverbs 18:24 KJV
…and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

  2. 10 Thus saith the Lord unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the Lord doth not accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins.

11 Then said the Lord unto me, Pray not for this people for their good.

    THE SPIRIT OF WANDER

The Lord said of this people that they had wandering feet. There is a problem with people when they wander. I have not noticed this as much in Texas as other places we have served the Lord. I know in many of those place there was a group of people that went from church to church. After staying in a church for about 2 years you knew it was time for them to wander off to another place, and they did.

The problems with wandering is mostly stability and accepting a MAN OF GOD for their Pastor. If we wander around from place to place we will lose the spirit of accountability, which we will be accountable to our pastor. But these people do not have a divine pastor.
Here are some things we need to take notice.
    1. The Lord will not accept them.
    2. Remember their iniquity
    3. Do not pray good for this people
    4. They will pray and I will not hear
    5. Fast and I will not hear
    6. Will not accept their offering or sacrifice

It is important that we do not get wandering feet, but stay where God has put us even when we are facing a trial. We think if we move it will take care of the situation, when God wants us to stick it out and prove what we are made of. There will always be obstacles in our path, it is up to us to pray and find what we need to overcome the obstacle not start to run away from the trial.

God plant my feet by the river of living waters and let me grow!!!!!

  3. Watch out who you listen to
The land was consumed with drought and famine yet there were some false profits who were saying that death would not come on the people. God said they lied! Them and those who listened to them would die with no one to burry them or their families. Truth is truth! You need to be sure that what you are listening to and believing is the truth of God really is THE TRUTH OF GOD!!! Read for yourself. Pray for yourself. Test the words you hear, don’t just say wow that sounds great and believe it because it sounds nice.

  4. 20 We acknowledge, O Lord, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers: for we have sinned against thee.
The problem with some people is they don’t want to acknowledge that what they are doing is wrong or sin. They either blame it on someone else or either say it’s not wrong to do this or that . It is time that we take responsibility for our actions and repent and start living a dedicated life for God!!

  5. 22 Are there any among the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers? art not thou he, O Lord our God? therefore we will wait upon thee: for thou hast made all these things.

Trust and believe that He is God Almighty. When things aren’t going our way ,the first thing is we blame God. I have learned ,in my 22 years, that God is always there. When we go through the tests and the fires that will bring suffering, it creates the best testimonies. When we think that we can’t make it, God makes a way. God is in control.

  6. THE DESPAIR OF DISOBEDIENCE

What a terrifying thought that the people that GOD loves, he would have to turn a deaf ear and turn away from their anguishing cries. LOVE is a challenge to understand at times. LOVE occasionally says “NO” for the preferred end.

In this case the LORD is bound to HIS WORD by principal. In other words if he allowed Judah to be spiritual harlots and still blessed, protected and delivered them, then that would be the precedence HE set for future generations.

GOD created man for relationship. HIS desire is for us HIS created sons and daughters to have relationship with HIM; to commune with HIM, to LOVE HIM, honor HIM, obey HIM and please HIM.

The result of refusing counsel and correction now results in Judah being left to their own demise and despair. GOD in essence says, “you don’t need me? Fine, figure it out on your own.”

This principal has been repeated consistently throughout the WORD of GOD. We are wise to HEED the WORD of GOD. Destroy all pride and rebellion that manifests itself in our lives through resisting the WORD of the LORD through the Man of GOD.

I LOVE you all and do not want to hear the LORD tell me to stop PRAYING for YOU. Submit, Honor, Obey for the good of your eternal soul.

  7. 16 And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; and they shall have none to bury them, them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters: for I will pour their wickedness upon them.

    The Dearth

    H1226
    בּצּרת
    batstsôreth
    bats-tso’-reth
Feminine intensive from H1219; restraint (of rain), that is, drought: – dearth, drought.

This scripture proves that God can and will withhold the rain from the earth.

Elijah once prophesied that it would not rain for 31/2 years and the book of Revelation prophecies of the future 31/2 years of lack of rain in the near future.

Many times in life we feel dry and dead, and it’s not the devil’s fault…It’s our fault. God’s trying to get our attention before we take the dead end road.

Let us communicate with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and get the Living Water back into our souls.

  9. 10 Then God said of these people: “Since they loved to wander this way and that, never giving a thought to where they were going, I will now have nothing more to do with them – except to note their guilt and punish their sins.” The Killing Fields MSG

God help us if we get to wandering and forget where God put us. Being raised in the church you seen people leave cause someone didn’t shake their hand and they would go from church to church. There is always going to be something someone doesn’t like in the church color of the carpet, wrong seats etc but that doesn’t mean leave the church and go church hopping. I was blessed when God sent me and my family to POFW our lives haven’t been the same since for the good too. So let’s not get all upset when something is going wrong and leave the church pray for the leaders and for Pastor and Sis Watts daily. They need our prayers and we need to hold their arms up. God is not going to bless those that are going against his will. We can’t take matters into our own hands pray about everything and worry about nothing.

  10. Beware of false prophets

How do you know if it is a false prophet??? When they call to compromise your beliefs, when they adjust the word of God to their times, when they call it toleration’s instead of condemnation…etc. Well, its ok they were born that way; I buy my pants at the ladies department so is not pertaining to man; all those rules were for those times they no longer apply for times have changed… etc. Open your eyes, they will promise the moon but never deliver.

Hebrew 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Malachi 3:6 For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

  11. Too many people believe its easier to give up, go backwards, and be content. Less to do, less people to please and getting to do what you want. Sounds like a dream life… I thought it did. I gave up everything I had for a moment of pleasure in the world. Fighting for standing what God wants is the right thing to do! It will be tiring, stressful and tough but in the end we will have crowns and mansions that outweigh every bad thing! God will put us at rest while the world, over and over again will tear us down! Your testimony is your weapon, use it!! When the devil comes back with those thoughts and temptations tear him down with your victories because we are overcomers!! WE ARE STRONG!

  12. Verse 10 MSG “Then God said of these people: Since they loved to wander this way and that, never giving a thought to where they were going, I will now have nothing more to do with them— except to note their guilt and punish their sins.”

We must heed the warnings and be careful of whom we are allowing to speak into our lives.

As verse 14 MSG says “Then God said, “These preachers are liars, and they use my name to cover their lies. I never sent them, I never commanded them, and I don’t talk with them. The sermons they’ve been handing out are sheer illusion, tissues of lies, whistlings in the dark.”

  13. Jeremiah asked God if Judah’s repentance would bring his help, but God refused to come to their aid because the people were insincere and wicked. They knew he wanted to bless them, and they knew what they needed to do to receive that blessing. They only wanted God to do his part. It’s easy to express sorrow for wrong doings, especially when we want something. We must be willing to do our part!

  14. 10 So this is what the Lord says to his people: “You love to wander far from me and do not restrain yourselves. Therefore, I will no longer accept you as my people. Now I will remember all your wickedness and will punish you for your sins.”
11 Then the Lord said to me, “Do not pray for these people anymore.
12 When they fast, I will pay no attention. When they present their burnt offerings and grain offerings to me, I will not accept them. Instead, I will devour them with war, famine, and disease.” (NLT)

*What a scary thought… To ever reach a place that you are so haughty and prideful, so full of yourself to not even acknowledge God because you think you got it all figured out and don’t need His help – Wrong!! A time and place will come that you will realize you need help and it’ll be like a slap in the face that knocks you back into reality. You need and always will need God’s help in life. But once you reach this point that you’ve decided you don’t need God it’ll be too late, because He too has decided that He will prove Himself by letting you on your own. You will fall and you will fall hard. Do not ever turn away from God, do not ever become so deceived by pride that you think you have life all figured out. . . Forgive us, me, Lord for ever thinking we can do anything without you. We, I, need you Jesus!!

  15. Vs.13-15, “Then said I, Ah, Lord God! behold, the prophets say unto them, Ye shall not see the sword, neither shall ye have famine; but I will give you assured peace in this place. Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart. Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning these prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed.”

2 Peter 2:1-2 says, “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.”

Just as there was back then false prophets, even now there are false teachers in the world today. (We just heard about 2 of these false teachers this past Sunday.) This is why we need to read and know the Word of God for ourselves, so that, we will know when someone is teaching truth or falsehood.

Thank you Pastor for always telling us to read and study the Word of God for ourselves. Thank You Pastor and Ministers of POFW for teaching truth to us.

  16. 13 Then said I, Ah, Lord God! behold, the prophets say unto them, Ye shall not see the sword, neither shall ye have famine; but I will give you assured peace in this place.

The Lord takes it very seriously the things we say to his people. I have notice over the years that people are quick to speak into the lives of others. We should be very careful to discern the voice of God.

Listen to the counsel of the leadership God has place over you and be patient to allow the gifts that he has placed in you to work.

Listen to the things that others speak into your life, make sure it aligns with the word of God and seek direction from your pastor when things don’t seem clear.

Reject any word spoken to you that is contrary to God’s word. His word is our final authority. His word will speak and not lie.

Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. -Job 23:12

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. -John 17:17

I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. -Psalms 138:2

  17. Let’s keep this chapter in memory due to their actions and the deceptive work of false prophets, saying things falsely in the name of the Lord. Jesus warned about false teachers and prophets, so beware.

  18. The altar of convenience

    Jeremiah 14:21 (AV 1873)
21  Do not abhor us, for thy name’s sake,
Do not disgrace the throne of thy glory:
Remember, break not thy covenant with us.

Why was it ok for the people of God to disgrace his name, his reputation, lie about what he said, and effectively cheat on him with false gods?

Yet when they get caught they are inclined to remind God of his reputation, and “what will others think?”

It seems as though Judah was pulling the wild card out. They thought that God would repent because of his name’s sake. However they had already marred what people thought of him. They had drug his name through the dirt, and laughed at his prophets.

The opening of the next chapter says that even if Samuel, and Moses asked him he would not spare them from destruction.

    Jeremiah 14:19 (AV 1873)
19  Hast thou utterly rejected Judah? hath thy soul lothed Zion?
Why hast thou smitten us, and there is no healing for us?
    We looked for peace, and there is no good;
And for the time of healing, and behold trouble.

They knew why. They were unwilling to admit it.

Repentance is not denial, but acceptance. We confess our sins in humility with godly sorrow. He is willing to forgive us. The act of innocence of the people revealed how far they were from God. He knew that they were only saying words with nothing to back it up.

Saying we are sorry is good, but not if the reason is because we got caught. God wants only genuine repentance. He threw out the money changers in the temple, and refuses “short-cut” sacrifices.

The altar is not meant to be convenient, and the “wild card” for a sinful life. I imagine God cringes when people say in their heart “I can sin, and get away with it. All I have to do is repent, and God will forgive me.”

God will not be taken advantage of. Yet if we approach him the right way he will welcome us to him.

    2 Peter 3:9 (KJV 1900)
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

    Psalm 51:17 (KJV 1900)
17  The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit:
A broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

  19. 10 Thus saith the Lord unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the Lord doth not accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins.

11 Then said the Lord unto me, Pray not for this people for their good.

12 When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.

What a consequence. Tragic. People live without fear of the consequences of their actions when they do not see immediate results. The truth is there is coming a day where judgement for our actions will come to pass. Repentance is vital in our walk with God. When we choose to wander and sin without regards to the consequence we lose covering and our prayers are not received in heaven.

    1 Peter 3:12
For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers:but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

  20. 20 We acknowledge, O Lord, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers: for we have sinned against thee.
21 Do not abhor us, for thy name’s sake, do not disgrace the throne of thy glory: remember, break not thy covenant with us.

Jeremiah keeps pleading for the people & for God to forgive them of their sins. He know their only help is from God & he continues to ask God not to ignore them & leave them to die. Jeremiah shows a Pastors love for those people. A Pastor continues to love & plead with God for those he shepherds-especially when he sees them headed the wrong direction.

  21. This chapter illustrates real. The real man of God petitioned for the people. One should thank God for a real man of God that will preach truth, and seek the Lord on one’s behalf; “And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding”. What a mighty God we serve! May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  22. 14 Then the Lord said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.

    Beware of false prophets

There are alot of wanna be prophets out there who will tell you lies instead of the truth. We must be on the lookout for false prophets because they will do everything to bring you down. The truth will make you free.

  23. Can any of the worthless foreign gods send us rain? Does it fall from the sky by itself? No, you are the one, O Lord our God! Only you can do such things. So we will wait for you to help us. (Jeremiah 14:22 NLT)

God you are the one and only!!!

  24. 14 Then the Lord said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.

    A False Vision

Thanks be to God that He has given us a pastor that seeks Him for Vision. I am so excited about the things that are ahead of us as we Impact Our Future Together.

It is important that we share in this vision and not altar it to the deceitful heart of man but this is God given. False vision is anything that is not the same as the original vision. False vision is division.

  25. 22 Are there any among the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers? art not thou he, O Lord our God? therefore we will wait upon thee: for thou hast made all these things.

don’t expect anything of this world to do only what God can do.

  26. MSG – 11-12 God said to me, “Don’t pray that everything will turn out all right for this people. When they skip their meals in order to pray, I won’t listen to a thing they say. When they redouble their prayers, bringing all kinds of offerings from their herds and crops, I’ll not accept them. I’m finishing them off with war and famine and disease.”

13 I said, “But Master, God! Their preachers have been telling them that everything is going to be all right—no war and no famine—that there’s nothing to worry about.”

14 Then God said, “These preachers are liars, and they use my name to cover their lies. I never sent them, I never commanded them, and I don’t talk with them. The sermons they’ve been handing out are sheer illusion, tissues of lies, whistlings in the dark.

15-16 “So this is my verdict on them: All the preachers who preach using my name as their text, preachers I never sent in the first place, preachers who say, ‘War and famine will never come here’—these preachers will die in war and by starvation. And the people to whom they’ve been preaching will end up as corpses, victims of war and starvation, thrown out in the streets of Jerusalem unburied—no funerals for them or their wives or their children! I’ll make sure they get the full brunt of all their evil.

If you are going to put your soul in the hands of a preacher, you better be sure he is following after God and not after the carnal things of this world.

KJV – Matt 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

  27. “So this is my verdict on them: All the preachers who preach using my name as their text, preachers I never sent in the first place, preachers who say, ‘War and famine will never come here’—these preachers will die in war and by starvation. And the people to whom they’ve been preaching will end up as corpses, victims of war and starvation, thrown out in the streets of Jerusalem unburied—no funerals for them or their wives or their children! I’ll make sure they get the full brunt of all their evil. (Jeremiah 14:15, 16 MSG)

Not only are the false preachers going to get punished but also those who they are preaching to. It reminds me of a statement make awhile back “my ears aren’t garbage cans for you to speak your trash into.” Leadership is very important. Let God lead you to your Pastor.

  28. 6 And the wild asses did stand in the high places, they snuffed up the wind like dragons; their eyes did fail, because there was no grass.

7 O Lord, though our iniquities testify against us, do thou it for thy name’s sake: for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against thee.

Don’t just call on God when your in trouble.

    Gods not a bail bondsman.

    Rev 2:
4 Nevertheless I have [somewhat] against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

As we start to love our children even while they are still in the womb,
    God is our first love.

    Jer 1:
5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, [and] I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

  29. 14 Judah beyond deliverance
    14:20 Repentance brings restoration
see Deuteronomy 30:2-3 And shalt return unto the Lord thu God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul; That then the Lord thu God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath scattered thee.

  30. Break the curse and remember your covenant…

Jeremiah 14:20-21 Lord, we confess our wickednessand that of our ancestors, too.We all have sinned against you. For the sake of your reputation, Lord, do not abandon us.Do not disgrace your own glorious throne. Please remember us,and do not break your covenant with us.- NLT

I’ve noticed in many individual patterns of bad life styles, and sinful ways of living. I too, have analyzed my own life and asked and meditated what hinders my walk with God what is a constant thing that is a struggle? A thought that came to me while reading this last verses is that perhaps people are often bound by sin, even though they have repented but continue to fall without really experiencing full victory or deliverance, because of a passed down punishment, in other words curse on their lives. Breaking a covenant will surely not bless your life. In here what is interesting to me is how they confessed acknowledging their sin and that of their ancestors. This brought to mind that perhaps when things are going so wrong is because one’s path has wandered so far away from God. It might just be one has a Kingdom problem. If the blessings of the Lord are withheld, perhaps all one has to do is confess sins, even ask God to reveal something that is sin that we know not of, and repent, truly turn away, and break curses off through His anointing…and remember your covenant because the Lord surely remembers His.

  31. Jeremiah reminds God that he promised to rescue them and to forgive them. That he trusts God on a daily basis. Jeremiah asked God to help rescue his people. The Lord doesn’t want to save the people because they don’t believe in him nor trust him. They sinned against him God doesn’t like other idols before him.

Lord I will examine myself and repent for all the times when I didn’t know you.

  32. Disappointment

3 And their nobles have sent their little ones to the waters: they came to the pits, and found no water; they returned with their vessels empty; they were ashamed and confounded, and covered their heads.

4 Because the ground is chapt, for there was no rain in the earth, the plowmen were ashamed, they covered their heads.

    Isaiah 26:18 NLT
We, too, writhe in agony, but nothing comes of our suffering. We have not given salvation to the earth, nor brought life into the world.

There is deep disappointment in having no fruit to show for your labor. There is an instinctive part of us that expects to reap when we’ve sown, and it causes a fundamental unrest when that principle seems violated. When we’ve come to one well over and over again only to suddenly have it fail us, the shock can put us out of sorts.

We must know Who is our well of living water. Being rooted in Him gives water that we would never thirst. It’s when we stray from God that we abandon hope. With God, it doesn’t matter how bad it seems, there is hope in Him. With God, disappointment does not have to have a hold on us. Our faith is not in this world or circumstances but in the One who reigns over it all.

     Romans 8:28-31
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. 31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

  33. Your voice or His

You should know what you stand for concerning your beliefs. There are many religious views and opinions that could stray your soul if you are not aware of the truth. It is important to not only have a true man of God in your life but to also study the word for yourself. Seek for the truth, study His word, ask questions… You’ll never regret learning something that you could share to another soul searching for guidance

God is good and His word is alive!

  34. It will be so sad in the day of judgment to hear the Lord say, “I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” We need to really know Jesus and that he knows us.

  35. Wake up America.

Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name , and I sent them not, yet they say , Sword and famine shall not be in this land ; By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed .
    NET
I did not send those prophets, though they claim to be prophesying in my name. They may be saying, ‘No war or famine will happen in this land.’ But I, the LORD, say this about them: ‘War and starvation will kill those prophets.’

John 4:23-24 we must worship Jesus in truth.

This world is deceived with blab it and grab it religion. We have the pope and Joel speaking lies that contradict the Bible. This world is going to be in chaos. But God will rise up the chosen few and we will change this world right before our exodus into the promise.

  36. Dry Times

Judah depends on wells and underground reservoirs called cisterns for its water supply. The people dig cisterns out of solid rock or line clay reservoirs with cement to prevent seepage and evaporation. Women regularly gather around the cisterns to fill household water jugs and visit with each other. Irrigation trenches from the cisterns also nourish elaborate palace and city gardens. In a land of little rainfall, cisterns provide water for the people’s survival and their social wellbeing. A drought impacts rich and poor, young and the old alike. The Israelites fear the droughts that have plauged their land over the centuries, realizing that God often uses such dryness as a judgment (1 Ki 8:35).
