Ezekiel 12

King James Version (KJV)

12 The word of the Lord also came unto me, saying,

2 Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they are a rebellious house.

3 Therefore, thou son of man, prepare thee stuff for removing, and remove by day in their sight; and thou shalt remove from thy place to another place in their sight: it may be they will consider, though they be a rebellious house.

4 Then shalt thou bring forth thy stuff by day in their sight, as stuff for removing: and thou shalt go forth at even in their sight, as they that go forth into captivity.

5 Dig thou through the wall in their sight, and carry out thereby.

6 In their sight shalt thou bear it upon thy shoulders, and carry it forth in the twilight: thou shalt cover thy face, that thou see not the ground: for I have set thee for a sign unto the house of Israel.

7 And I did so as I was commanded: I brought forth my stuff by day, as stuff for captivity, and in the even I digged through the wall with mine hand; I brought it forth in the twilight, and I bare it upon my shoulder in their sight.

8 And in the morning came the word of the Lord unto me, saying,

9 Son of man, hath not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said unto thee, What doest thou?

10 Say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; This burden concerneth the prince in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel that are among them.

11 Say, I am your sign: like as I have done, so shall it be done unto them: they shall remove and go into captivity.

12 And the prince that is among them shall bear upon his shoulder in the twilight, and shall go forth: they shall dig through the wall to carry out thereby: he shall cover his face, that he see not the ground with his eyes.

13 My net also will I spread upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare: and I will bring him to Babylon to the land of the Chaldeans; yet shall he not see it, though he shall die there.

14 And I will scatter toward every wind all that are about him to help him, and all his bands; and I will draw out the sword after them.

15 And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall scatter them among the nations, and disperse them in the countries.

16 But I will leave a few men of them from the sword, from the famine, and from the pestilence; that they may declare all their abominations among the heathen whither they come; and they shall know that I am the Lord.

17 Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

18 Son of man, eat thy bread with quaking, and drink thy water with trembling and with carefulness;

19 And say unto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord God of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and of the land of Israel; They shall eat their bread with carefulness, and drink their water with astonishment, that her land may be desolate from all that is therein, because of the violence of all them that dwell therein.

20 And the cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall be desolate; and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

21 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

22 Son of man, what is that proverb that ye have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision faileth?

23 Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord God; I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say unto them, The days are at hand, and the effect of every vision.

24 For there shall be no more any vain vision nor flattering divination within the house of Israel.

25 For I am the Lord: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord God.

26 Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying.

27 Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth is for many days to come, and he prophesieth of the times that are far off.

28 Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord God.

  1. Why wait?
this passage mean to me that when God speaks I need to listen. he’s trying to talk to me about he only gives me so many chances to listen how many times is going to take before I listen to him. he is a good God and He loves me and you. and these passages he’s trying to tell people he’s been trying to tell us 3 or 4 times over and over lord I want to be the type of person that listens I believe it travaling is the right thing to get our heart cleaned… and God is trying to to restore us I keep our spirit alive in Him. I went to church yesterday and there was a lot of travailing going on…. I needed to do that. I know God is real. and I love him very much I don’t understand where tomorrow goes or not goes

    • Jeremiah 5:22-
22/fear ye not me? Saith the Lord: will you not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by the perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss them selves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?
dear Jesus I pray that I’ll be in your will I love the church I love God’s people I pray that I will be an easy learner. and obey God’s Word. thank you Jesus.

  2. Rebellion

2 Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they are a rebellious house.

Lord forgive me for my rebellious nature. I always want to be someone who has eyes and sees. I want to have ears and hear. I long to grow closer to you.

  3. 28 Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord God.

God has been giving them a time of grace between the prophesy and the fulfillment but now they are quickly running out of grace and will see it all come to pass. We never know when His grace will be pushed to the limit and He says, “Enough!” We must stay ready to go.

  4. We must not believe that the Lord will not come soon. We must prepare ourselves and be ready NOW. The Lord may tarry and he may not. Each day is yet another day for repentance. Do not delay.

  5. The false vision

24 For there shall be no more any vain vision nor flattering divination within the house of Israel.

Today we are plagued with this in the doctrine of grace with a perverse teaching. This world screams accept Jesus in your heart, and it doesn’t matter how much you sin. God loves you. This is a doctine out of the false teachers of our day. This is a similarity with the older false prophets who prophesied peace and prosperity. Here, we see how the people developed a proverb for those false words. Today, people have opinions on Christianity as well. We can’t let the false doctrines pervert the perception of our God. We must bind those words in prayer and pray for revelation of truth.

  6. Are you READY??

23 Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord God; I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say unto them, The days are at hand, and the effect of every vision.

People vacillate in making a decision if they should or should not go repent; or if they should or should not be baptized in the name of Jesus; or if they should or should not seek the Holy Ghost. Time and time again I see them enter the gates and leave the same way they came. If it is sad for me to watch, can you imagine how our Lord feels? Stubborn, stiff neck, rebellious generation. I think the reason we see it even more in the United States is because we are comfortable, we do not have to experience persecution to the level others do, we do not have the necessities and desperation that other countries do, we live a life of luxury so therefore we don’t lack much of anything. We fail to recognize that the day is near, that Christ comes for His people every time an altar call is done, and the day of Judgement is just around the corner. 2 Cor. 6: 2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) TODAY IS THE DAY, NOW IS THE TIME OF SALVATION!!!!!!!

  7. iLove to eat the Word

25 For I am the Lord: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord God.

Throughout this chapter, God continues to explain that He hears the people’s rebellion and excuses. He also seems to take it very personally when the people did not believe his prophecies that were spoken.

The only thing keeping back the wrath of God today is the blood of Jesus. In the last days when the time of grace expires, God will once again pour out judgement. Let’s always stay in the blood, always stay connected to our redeemer.

  8. 27 Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth is for many days to come, and he prophesieth of the times that are far off.

28 Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord God.

    NOT TODAY

This is the feeling of many people ( I heard the message but it is for a long time). The children of Israeli said the vision is for many days.
Now is the time for salvation, Now is the day.
The Lord said to Ezekiel my words will not be prolonged any more. Many times Israeli showed a sign of repentance and God put off his wrath toward them. Their rebellion was so bad this time, they worshiped others God’s before the true God. Nothing is as abominable as this to God. He is a jealous God and will not give his glory to another.
So NOT TODAY will not fly this time.
    NOW, NOW, NOW

  9. 25 For I am the Lord: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord God.

He is The Lord my God. His word is true, and his promises are yah and amen. No matter what we do in life he is still the king of kings. Why does the church play with fire? As my mom told me,” you play with fire you get burnt. ” we need to stop playing with the fire of this world ,and get the Holy Ghost fire. Just ask Moses. I does not consume with death ,but with life.

  10. 25 For I am the Lord: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord God.

God said it therefore it shall happen. When God speaks things are created. Our entire world was created from a few words from Gods mouth. We acknowledge Him as creator and worship Him knowing His power, strength, and creativity. Yet we so often doubt the words God has spoken into our lives. It’s time to stop doubting Gods word in our life! Claim the promises!

    2 Corinthians 1:20
20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

  11. That’s the PROBLEM with today’s people!!!

Again a message came to me from the Lord : “Son of man, you’ve heard that proverb they quote in Israel: ‘Time passes, and prophecies come to nothing.’ Tell the people, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will put an end to this proverb, and you will soon stop quoting it.’ Now give them this new proverb to replace the old one: ‘The time has come for every prophecy to be fulfilled!’ For I am the Lord ! If I say it, it will happen. There will be no more delays, you rebels of Israel. I will fulfill my threat of destruction in your own lifetime. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!” Therefore, tell them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: No more delay! I will now do everything I have threatened. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!’” (Ezekiel 12:21-23, 25, 28 NLT)
I feel that is exactly how millions of people feel today. It is why they decide to live a life of self will, gratifying what the lust of the flesh desires and the lust of the eyes. There is no reverence for GOD and His Word. ” that was for back then, when Jesus walked the earth. It’s not for today. ” another lie from lucy.
Stop taking your life for granted. God’s grace is never to abused.

Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. (Revelation 22:7, 12, 13 KJV)

  12. PROPHETIC PROCRASTINATION

Again we see a type and shadow of our day here in Ezekiel. Frequently we deal with the attitude and spirit of “we have heard this before”, “we have heard this for years”, etc… We must guard our hearts continually against this attitude in the last days. Deception is prevalent in these last days. Jesus warned us of this in:

Matthew 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

Deception is that the church becomes impatient in waiting for the coming of the LORD Jesus.

Luke 12:46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

47 And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

    Affirmation!
Ezekiel 12:28 Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord God.

    Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  13. 1-6 God’s Message came to me: “Son of man, you’re living with a bunch of rebellious people. They have eyes but don’t see a thing, they have ears but don’t hear a thing. They’re rebels all. So, son of man, pack up your exile duffel bags. Leave in broad daylight with everyone watching and go off, as if into exile. Maybe then they’ll understand what’s going on, rebels though they are. You’ll take up your baggage while they watch, a bundle of the bare necessities of someone going into exile, and toward evening leave, just like a person going off into exile. As they watch, dig through the wall of the house and carry your bundle through it. In full sight of the people, put the bundle on your shoulder and walk out into the night. Cover your face so you won’t have to look at what you’ll never see again. I’m using you as a sign for the family of Israel. MSG

Rebellion is in the same category of sin as witchcraft. Rebellion is good way to find ourselves dried up spiritually. If we are rebellious our heart is not right with God.
Rebellion keeps us from seeing and hearing what God is doing and wanting to do in our lives. Who are you serving today? If you have rebellion then you are serving satan but if you have no rebellion in your heart then you are serving the one true God. God help us to turn from our own stinking ways and fast our eyes on God.

  14. 25 For I am the Lord: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord God.

    The Word

No part of the Bible is ever been or will ever be proven wrong. God is the Word, and He will not lie. Just as Paul write in the New Testament, that Everyman would be a lie, but the Word would stay true.

  15. 25 For I am the Lord! If I say it, it will happen. There will be no more delays, you rebels of Israel. I will fulfill my threat of destruction in your own lifetime. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!” (NLT)

The Lord is going to do what He says. We must repent from rebellious ways and stay in tuned with God, or suffer the destruction He has spoken.

  16. HALELUJAH!!! HALELUJAH!!! HALELUJAH!!!
12 The word of the Lord also came unto me, saying,

What is our response to THE WORD OF THE LORD???
How do we react to THE WORD OF THE LORD???
Do we obey at the first command, or do we leave it for later ???
LORD help me be more obedient to your word!!!
That I may LIVE IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH AND THAT MY STEPS BE ORDAINED BY YOUR HOLY SPIRIT ….. I LOVE YOU JESUS!!! YOU ARE SO GREAT AND AWESOME!!! I LOVE YOU DADDY !!! THANK YOU JESUS FOR MERCY AND GRACE!!!

  17. 2 Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they are a rebellious house.

    Rebellion is a BIG problem

There is such a bad problem with rebellion today, people think because someone wants me to do something this way ,I will do it another just prove I can. This is a bad case of rebellion, and our children pick up on this spirit so they become rebellious . It is a cycle that must be broken, God hates rebellion !!! We must pray and get this out of our hearts and listen to what God is trying to tell us thru the man of God!!

Lord help us to be obedient to your word!!

  18. I have heard all my life that Jesus is coming soon. There are songs about his soon return. Near the end of this chapter the Jews have are stating “we have heard this over and over again.” They have heard that judgment is coming and they have grown accustomed to the prophecy. How many times have we been warned our sins will find us out? Do we truly believe it? Are we hiding that one sin that is not hurting anyone else? Are we doing things in secret that only God knows about?

We must hear the warning of our Pastor!! We must truly repent from sin and become new creatures in Christ. We have the power through the blood of Jesus to do all things. No sin is too powerful that we cannot overcome. If we are truly honest with ourselves we will likely find that our flesh enjoys certain things/activities and we feed that hunger. “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

  19. 12 The word of the Lord also came unto me, saying,

This chapter gives warning that if you are in a rebellious house, remove your stuff, get out, lest you be lost with those that are going to be judged for rebellion. God open our eyes that we would see the condition and state of our soul, and be wise enough to know that if there is rebellion, to repent, turn from our ways, and remove every seed of rebellion.

  20. Vs. 26, “Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying,”
Vs.27, “Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth is for many days to come, and he prophesieth of the times that are afar off.”
Vs.28, “Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord God.”

2 Peter 3:3-4, “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.”

The house of Israel thought the vision and the prophesies where a long ways off, but God said that his word would no longer be prolonged and that they shall be done.

Today, people hear “Jesus is coming soon,” and they ask, “Where is the promise of his coming? We have heard this for along time.”

All I know is Jesus Is Coming. His Word is True. If he said it, that settles it. The signs of His Coming are all around us. Be ready! NOW!

I want to share a few scriptures from 2 Peter chapter 3.
Vs.11, “Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness.”
Vs.14, “Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.”
Vs.17, “Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.”
Vs.18, “But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ…”

  21. You can either be scattered by the dead, left with the heathen, or go with God.
I want to go with God. It’s time to pack our stuff and dig through the wall our promise is ahead.

  22. Ezekiel 12:25 For Iam the Lord: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged : for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word , and will perform it, saith the Lord God.

(12:25) It must constantly be remembered that though the prophet was in Babylonia he prophesies as if in the land, and during the eleven years’ interval between the first and the final deportation.

  23. This chapter illustrates exposure. All was before them; “eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they are a rebellious house”. Many things are taking place today, as such one should seek God’s (Jesus) revelation. What a mighty God we serve! May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  24. 28 Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord God.

  25. A house of Witches

    Ezekiel 12:24-25
For there shall be no more any vain vision nor flattering divination within the house of Israel. For I am the Lord:I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged:for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord God.

    1 Samuel 15:23
For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft,
and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.

Rebellion – h4805. מרי m riy; from 4784; bitterness, i. e. (figuratively) rebellion; concretely, bitter, or rebellious:

Witchcraft – h7081. קסמ qesem; from 7080; a lot:also divination (including its fee), oracle:— (reward of) divination, divine sentence, witchcraft. From the word meaning Soothesayer

The house of Israel had become a rebellious house. Literally they turned from God to craft. Instead of relying on him they relied on themselves. Ezekiel had tried to warn them, but the people were dedicated to their sorcery.

I believe that God never has changed his mind about magic. His word says suffer not a witch to live. Although today we should pray rather than slay we must be on guard for the spirit of witchcraft.

  26. Rebellion is a Sin!!
Ezikel 12:2 Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they are a rebellious house.
God forbid we know truth and know what we should do but still turn our ear away from God or the things of God. We want our temple to be pleasing and acceptable to God.

  27. 27 Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth is for many days to come, and he prophesieth of the times that are far off.
28 Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord God.

Verse 28 speaks to not tempting the Lord which is exactly what the people are doing by ignoring his warnings. If fact they are defying his prophecies through Ezekiel. Proverbs 12:1-2 says:
Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.2 A good man obtaineth favour of the Lord: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.
Hear the word of the Lord, obey & live.

  28. Always be prepared for the unexpected. We all know that soon Jesus is coming back for His children but no man know the hour. We must live our lives daily pleasing God with our actions so that when He does return we are ready at any moment!

  29. 28 Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord God.

This verse reminded me of a song titled “It Shall Be Done”
I’m thankful for the delegated authority given to His people that whatever we ask in His name, it shall be done.

  30. In this scripture, you can see how God ended a proverb, and created a new thing. He took away the prolonged waiting, it would be done immediately. Could you imagine the things you have prayed and longed for was just simply done. “Wow”……

    “Be blessed”……………

  31. 28 Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord God.

To a people that had no real vision judgment came.
Where there is no vision the people perish.

Thank God for the vision of the house.

The word is coming to pass; we will see great revival. There is a vision. Focus and see the great things God is doing for us.

  32. Explain that your actions are a sign to show what will soon happen to them, for they will be driven into exile as captives. (Ezekiel 12:11 NLT)

It’s strange how sometimes God allows us to go through something’s only for it to actually help someone else or to show us what we need to pray about on someone else’s behalf. What a privilege to be used of God and what a great sacifice.

  33. Walking In The Will

3 Therefore, thou son of man, prepare thee stuff for removing, and remove by day in their sight; and thou shalt remove from thy place to another place in their sight: it may be they will consider, though they be a rebellious house.

    Psalms 119:105
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,
and a light unto my path.

    Proverbs 6:23
For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

    Matthew 5:14-16
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

When we stay in step with God and walk in His will, our lives become a testimony of His way of life. The more we die to self and walk in His way, the more that light can shine through us and our lives witness of Him. So can God use POFW as we move in sync with Him to the new building/property as a witness to this region of Him.

    Colossians 3:1-4
1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

  34. False Prophets

Ezekiel denounces the prophets of Israel who are prophesying “out of their own imagination” (Eze 13:2). Their words do not come from God but their own minds and imaginations. The OT provides three tests to determine of a prophet is from God or false prophet. First, if a prophet’s do not come tru, he or she is a false prophet. (Dt 18:21-22). Second, if a prophet speaks words, even with accompanying signs and wonders, that encourage idolatry, that contradict or invalidate some known commandment or understanding about God, that prophet is false and not to be trusted (Dt 13:1-3). Third, the prophets themselves must live lives that evidence their trust in God and their adherence to his commandments (Jer 23:14). False prophets are not only a sad reproach on Israelite society, but they are also a danger to God’s people. Jesus calls them “ferocious wolves” (Mat 7:15).

  35. As far back as I can remember, I have heard of the coming of the Lord. Some may think “Oh, they’ve been saying that for years” (those with a closed or rebellious mind, not wanting to stop sinning); while others (those with a hope in Christ) think “Yes, the time is that much closer”. The word of the Lord is true as Psalm 33:4 NLT says “For the word of the Lord holds true, and we can trust everything he does.”
