Ezekiel 21

1 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

2 Son of man, set thy face toward Jerusalem, and drop thy word toward the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel,

3 And say to the land of Israel, Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I am against thee, and will draw forth my sword out of his sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked.

4 Seeing then that I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of his sheath against all flesh from the south to the north:

5 That all flesh may know that I the Lord have drawn forth my sword out of his sheath: it shall not return any more.

6 Sigh therefore, thou son of man, with the breaking of thy loins; and with bitterness sigh before their eyes.

7 And it shall be, when they say unto thee, Wherefore sighest thou? that thou shalt answer, For the tidings; because it cometh: and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak as water: behold, it cometh, and shall be brought to pass, saith the Lord God.

8 Again the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

9 Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus saith the Lord; Say, A sword, a sword is sharpened, and also furbished:

10 It is sharpened to make a sore slaughter; it is furbished that it may glitter: should we then make mirth? it contemneth the rod of my son, as every tree.

11 And he hath given it to be furbished, that it may be handled: this sword is sharpened, and it is furbished, to give it into the hand of the slayer.

12 Cry and howl, son of man: for it shall be upon my people, it shall be upon all the princes of Israel: terrors by reason of the sword shall be upon my people: smite therefore upon thy thigh.

13 Because it is a trial, and what if the sword contemn even the rod? it shall be no more, saith the Lord God.

14 Thou therefore, son of man, prophesy, and smite thine hands together. and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the slain: it is the sword of the great men that are slain, which entereth into their privy chambers.

15 I have set the point of the sword against all their gates, that their heart may faint, and their ruins be multiplied: ah! it is made bright, it is wrapped up for the slaughter.

16 Go thee one way or other, either on the right hand, or on the left, whithersoever thy face is set.

17 I will also smite mine hands together, and I will cause my fury to rest: I the Lord have said it.

18 The word of the Lord came unto me again, saying,

19 Also, thou son of man, appoint thee two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come: both twain shall come forth out of one land: and choose thou a place, choose it at the head of the way to the city.

20 Appoint a way, that the sword may come to Rabbath of the Ammonites, and to Judah in Jerusalem the defenced.

21 For the king of Babylon stood at the parting of the way, at the head of the two ways, to use divination: he made his arrows bright, he consulted with images, he looked in the liver.

22 At his right hand was the divination for Jerusalem, to appoint captains, to open the mouth in the slaughter, to lift up the voice with shouting, to appoint battering rams against the gates, to cast a mount, and to build a fort.

23 And it shall be unto them as a false divination in their sight, to them that have sworn oaths: but he will call to remembrance the iniquity, that they may be taken.

24 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Because ye have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are discovered, so that in all your doings your sins do appear; because, I say, that ye are come to remembrance, ye shall be taken with the hand.

25 And thou, profane wicked prince of Israel, whose day is come, when iniquity shall have an end,

26 Thus saith the Lord God; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same: exalt him that is low, and abase him that is high.

27 I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him.

28 And thou, son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord God concerning the Ammonites, and concerning their reproach; even say thou, The sword, the sword is drawn: for the slaughter it is furbished, to consume because of the glittering:

29 Whiles they see vanity unto thee, whiles they divine a lie unto thee, to bring thee upon the necks of them that are slain, of the wicked, whose day is come, when their iniquity shall have an end.

30 Shall I cause it to return into his sheath? I will judge thee in the place where thou wast created, in the land of thy nativity.

31 And I will pour out mine indignation upon thee, I will blow against thee in the fire of my wrath, and deliver thee into the hand of brutish men, and skilful to destroy.

32 Thou shalt be for fuel to the fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of the land; thou shalt be no more remembered: for I the Lord have spoken it.

    • I just wanted to thank you all for such a good service sunday..This passage reminds me of the time when I was living in my iniquity and the Lord came to me in my dream about 3a and when I woke up His presence filled the room i was in awe. I know that God forgave me of my past iniquity and I hope I can forgive myself..I love the pofw family and will never forget yall..I was in sin when I was going there and I have repented of my sins. I probably wont forget them but with God’s help I can learn to. Thank you sis varney for your friendship…I think it was just me but I couldnt log in under my name Im not very computer literate. God is doing great things and all the time The Lord is good. I pray that know I can be made low and God will be lifted high in my life and remeber how good God(Jesus) is.

  2. 32 Thou shalt be for fuel to the fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of the land; thou shalt be no more remembered: for I the Lord have spoken it.

    NEVER REMEMBERED

What an iconic statement your words and your ways have angered God so much with your rebellion! Think about how this can happen, when we refuse to hear God’s messenger and turn from our wicked ways. We think God has to accept us like we are and reality God will accept us but we have to change to be like him.
Actually we must be born again, we have to cast off that old spirit and put on a new spirit that God gives us. As Pastor taught Sunday morning we need to be more like Jesus.
We shall become fuel for the fire. Is that the same as firewood? No matter what you have did it life you will not be remembered any more.
    1. The tithes you paid will not be remembered.
    2. The offerings you gave will not be remembered.
    3. All the work you did at the church will not be remembered.
    4. The Sunday school class your taught will not be remembered.
    5. If you are a preacher not one message will be remembered.

I don’t know about you but to me this is a very sobering thought.

What about the epitaph on your tomb stone it says

    I DON’T REMEMBER.

  3. ILove to eat the Word

32 Thou shalt be for fuel to the fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of the land; thou shalt be no more remembered: for I the Lord have spoken it.

Judgement has come to the city of God. Blood is poured out into the streets of Jerusalem… and the wrath of God is upon the city because of its wickedness…”the blood shall no more be remembered…” is what the scripture states. Why? Because the wicked were slain. Only the righteous blood is remembered, it’s only the blood of Abel that still cries out, “And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground. (Genesis 4:10 KJV)”

There was One who’s blood was greater than that of Abel and his name is Jesus. He was slain in Jerusalem and his blood still cries out from Jerusalem. He will always be remembered and his blood will always cry out, “Father forgive them, they know not what they do.”

  4. Verse 24 MSG “So this is what God, the Master, says: ‘Because your sin is now out in the open so everyone can see what you’ve been doing, you’ll be taken captive.”

Same verse NLT “Therefore, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: Again and again you remind me of your sin and your guilt. You don’t even try to hide it! In everything you do, your sins are obvious for all to see. So now the time of your punishment has come!”

Some may think that noone knows what they are doing in secret; but, in reality the one who knows all sees it clear as day. Just because your able to still do it, doesn’t mean your getting away with it or that God approves. God’s mercy is so great; but, your sins will reveal themselves in time. Repent NOW and don’t allow your sins to take you captive.

Numbers 32:23 NLT “But if you fail to keep your word, then you will have sinned against the Lord, and you may be sure that your sin will find you out.”

Same verse CEV “But if you don’t keep your promise, you will sin against the Lord and be punished.”

  5. 24 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Because ye have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are discovered, so that in all your doings your sins do appear; because, I say, that ye are come to remembrance, ye shall be taken with the hand.

    Ezekiel 21:24 MSG
“So this is what God, the Master, says: ‘Because your sin is now out in the open so everyone can see what you’ve been doing, you’ll be taken captive.

  6. ALL THEY REMEMBER ARE YOUR SINS

God is so tired of their sins, over and over again, that if they ever acted righteously; He will not remember. All He can see is their sins. Sin = Death there is no way around it. God is saying there is no righteousness that I can’t even bring to memory, therefore, you will die… You have to be pretty evil for it to only remember your wrong doing. Have you ever been to a funeral you can hear the people always praising the dead for what they have done, and they always speak of the good things they did, you don’t hear about all the mistakes, or sins… The adulterating husband becomes the best father, the drug user becomes the misunderstood child, people have a way to turn it into a positive some how; but in this case God is saying that not even that can be done…It has been so bad that nothing good can be remembered. May God keeps us from that, may He guide us always in His Truth, and may we all be remembered for His Goodness that was always reflected in our lives. In Jesus Name AMEN

  7. 12 Cry and howl, son of man: for it shall be upon my people, it shall be upon all the princes of Israel: terrors by reason of the sword shall be upon my people: smite therefore upon thy thigh.

Such a burden. God is telling Ezekiel to have a burden for His people. We too have been called to have a burden for God’s people but who does? Many sign up for prayer hours, but only few will stand and say thet they did. Many applaude outreach, but few show up every week for it.

If we really want to see God move across this reigion as He wants to, we first have to be willing to cry out aloud in prayer and fasting. We first have to do our parts, and then when we fall short, He will step in and get the glory.

  8. 31 And I will pour out mine indignation upon thee, I will blow against thee in the fire of my wrath, and deliver thee into the hand of brutish men, and skilful to destroy.
32 Thou shalt be for fuel to the fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of the land; thou shalt be no more remembered: for I the Lord have spoken it.

There is coming a day when God will turn back to His children. We are blessed that to see the Glory of God. Yet just as He turned from them, so He will turn back to them. Everyday we get one day closer to the return of God.

  9. INIQUITY SHALL HAVE AN END

25 And thou, profane wicked prince of Israel, whose day is come, when iniquity shall have an end,

Based on my study and knowledge of the WORD of GOD, the subject of iniquity can be summed up in this manner:

    INIQUITY SHALL HAVE AN END

    1. I shall END iniquity through REPENTANCE

    2. GOD shall END iniquity through JUDGMENT

Basically, the sovereign GOD gives us a choice; die or be killed, surrender or be captured, humble yourself or be humiliated.

    WHY?

    Exodus 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

Exodus 34:14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:

    In the beginning GOD created:

Everything belongs to HIM and is HIS including each and every life that lives and breathes. Jealousy is roused from relationship; the people we love are the people we protect and are jealous over. If GOD did not care he would not judge; this judgement is a sign to every generation following to know the MERCIES of GOD and the JUDGMENT of GOD.

iSeek to live in HIS Mercies.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  10. A PROFANE AND WICKED PRINCE

There is no hope for the Jin Zedekiah last in a line of wicked leaders. Judah and he must prepare for judgment

  11. 31 And I will pour out mine indignation upon thee, I will blow against thee in the fire of my wrath, and deliver thee into the hand of brutish men, and skilful to destroy.

32 Thou shalt be for fuel to the fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of the land; thou shalt be no more remembered: for I the Lord have spoken it.

Wow, he does not play, some of it may seen harsh but he is God and he is just and he will execute judgment the way he sees fit. I just thank God he is merciful and forgiving..

  12. 12 Cry and howl, son of man: for it shall be upon my people, it shall be upon all the princes of Israel: terrors by reason of the sword shall be upon my people: smite therefore upon thy thigh.

-thank you jesus everything your doing and whats to come lord your great merciful and powerful lord I love you jesus

  13. SANTO SANTO SANTO!!!
27 I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him.

TO OVERTURN WOW!!! – TO UTTERLY DESTROY THEM!!! HE WAS VERY ANGRY ,ABOUT TO DESTROY AND LOOK BACK!!! SANTO HOW MANY TIMES HAS HE LOOKED AND WANTED TO DESTROY BUT BECAUSE OF HIS INFINITE LOVE……….. THANK YOU JESUS, I LOVE YOU DADDY

  14. The Message version: 25-27 “‘O Zedekiah, blasphemous and evil prince of Israel: Time’s up. It’s “punishment payday.” God says, Take your royal crown off your head. No more “business as usual.” The underdog will be promoted and the top dog will be demoted. Ruins, ruins, ruins! I’ll turn the whole place into ruins. And ruins it will remain until the one comes who has a right to it. Then I’ll give it to him.’

“Punishment payday” What a phrase! Not just punishment day, but punishment payday. As long as I have been working I have known when payday was. Most of my life revolved around payday. Before coming to the Lord, It was the day we paid rent, purchased groceries, filled the car with fuel, etc… It was a time – even though brief – which I could breathe easy. There was plenty to go around; at least for a day or two.

Here the Lord is talking about a punishment payday. You know it is coming and will bring your just compensation. Israel was going to be cut down. How about us? What compensation are we expecting?

  15. 21:21 The point is that no matter how much the Babylonian king foolishly uses his divination, the will of the one true God will be accomplished.

  16. We need to live our life so that it is pleasing to God .
God is merciful but it would be a sad day when that mercy turns to anger, because we continue to do sinful things!
God I pray for mercy and wisdom to do the things that are pleasing to you! Lead me in the paths of righteousness .

  17. 2 Son of man, set thy face toward Jerusalem, and drop thy word toward the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel,

The body of Christ has many parts, the hardest part I imagine is being the mouthpiece. Everyone wants the attention that the mouthpiece gets, the position, but few are willing to be the true voice of God to His people. Gods messages are not always easy to hear but even harder to deliver. There are always going to be those who will not receive the word of God because they don’t want to hear it from a man. Sorry to break it to you but God always had a man to speak to His people. We all need to take heed to the mouthpiece of God that He put in our lives: Pastor Watts. God won’t give you a separate word contrary to what He is speaking to the church.

  18. Raise the Bar

13 Because it is a trial, and what if the sword contemn even the rod? it shall be no more, saith the Lord God.

What if the word casts off self discipline?

Discipline is self control. This is our God given ability to lead our selves. As an adult nobody tells me to read the Bible, pray, fast, outreach, etc. There are expectations for me, but I still make the choice.

The sword is used for judgement. By reading the word of God we can rightly divide the word of truth, and not be ashamed. We study to show ourselves approved unto God, and let the sword speak to us.

    Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

A trial is a testing, proving, trying of ourselves. It reveals who we are at our core.

So, because of a trial, what if the sword casts off self discipline?
    It shall be no more.

This is why we need a Pastor. He sets the bar that we can align our self discipline with. When we hear the work spoken from across the holy desk we can then apply it to our lives. This way the word or sword won’t cast off our self discipline. The point is sometimes our level of self discipline is not set high enough.

When we hear the word and apply it we take an open book test. The rewards of passing a trial are very valuable.

    1 Peter 1:7
7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

  19. 5 Everyone in the world will know that I am the Lord. My sword is in my hand, and it will not return to its sheath until its work is finished.’

24 “Therefore, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: Again and again you remind me of your sin and your guilt. You don’t even try to hide it! In everything you do, your sins are obvious for all to see. So now the time of your punishment has come!

Be sure your sins will find you our and that God will execute His judgment to all the way He sees fit.

  20. 1 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

It is truly a sad day when the Lord speaks to the man of God in your life and tells them to prophesy doom and destruction to you. We must keep our hearts pure and our focus on Jesus, lest we too be found in the same condition as the children of Israel during this time of desolation.

  21. This chapter illustrates bleakness. The prophesy, which was to be given was bleak; “Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I am against thee”. One would be wise to heed the word of God (Jesus) and his servant, while it is within one’s power; “I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O Lord; for it is good”. What a mighty God we serve! May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  22. Ezekiel follows God’s instructions and groans and sighs with grief over the news that Israel is about to be destroyed. When the people her him crying, they ask him why. He has a ready answer, given to him by God. Using descriptive language, Ezekiel describes the fear that will penetrate the land in the end. God is judging the people for their rebellion, and the sight is not pretty. In fact, it is horrifying- so horrifying that their hearts melt, their hands are limp, their spirits grow faint, and they are weak-kneed with fear.

  23. Therefore thus says the Lord God: Because you have made your guilt and iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are uncovered, so that in all your doings your sins appear–because, I say, you have come to remembrance, you shall be taken with the [enemy’s] hand. (Ezekiel 21:24 AMP)

The Lord sees all and knows all. There’s nothing hidden or covered.

The Lord looks from heaven, He beholds all the sons of men; From His dwelling place He looks [intently] upon all the inhabitants of the earth– (Psalm 33:13, 14 AMP)

For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart. And not a creature exists that is concealed from His sight, but all things are open and exposed, naked and defenseless to the eyes of Him with Whom we have to do. (Hebrews 4:12, 13 AMP)

  24. 31 And I will pour out mine indignation upon thee, I will blow against thee in the fire of my wrath, and deliver thee into the hand of brutish men, and skilful to destroy.
32 Thou shalt be for fuel to the fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of the land; thou shalt be no more remembered: for I the Lord have spoken it.

Judgement will come & will end iniquity and without repenting the people will be cut off from both the righteous and the wicked. What a terrible place to be. I pray that I always have an ear to hear, be quick to repent & keep the desire to obey. I don’t even want to imagine a place without my God.

  25. Looking for an Omen

The king of Babylon, according to Ezekiel, will stop at a fork in the road and use omens to decide which way to proceed. All three forms of looking for omens listed in vs 21 were common use in Biblical times. A number of arrows, each marked with one of the decisions to be made, were put into a quiver and then spun. The arrow that was drawn out of the quiver provided the solution. A similar method was used in dividing up the promised land by casting lots for inheritance, or position like in 1 Chr 24, or assembly of battle: Judges 20:9.

Household gods were thought to have special abilities in giving guidance to their owners. One of the most common -supposed- devination was to examine a sheep liver and make a decision based on its color or structure. None of these forms of discovering the future or making a decision were (or are) accurate in any way. However, the Creator, Jesus our God, can use any form of human folly to bring about his perfect will. God can use anything (bush, donkey) or anyone (wizard Balaam) to do His perfect will. The enemy will try to decieve us by making us believe folly, like needing something to survive, or be blessed. All we need is the Lord and full submission to Him. Their is no need to look any further.

  26. No matter what you do, all is seen. There is nothing we can do/say/write that God doesn’t know about. He knows the true intent of our hearts and decisions and what goes on behind closed doors.
    True love or talent show?

  27. 7 And it shall be, when they say unto thee, Wherefore sighest thou? that thou shalt answer, For the tidings; because it cometh: and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak as water: behold, it cometh, and shall be brought to pass, saith the Lord God.

  28. 8 Again the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

9 Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus saith the Lord; Say, A sword, a sword is sharpened, and also furbished:

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. -Hebrews 4:12

The word is powerful, it will work in our lives if we will submit to it. It will cut away those things that are not good for. But it will cut us off from the righteous of God if we are not repentant.

  29. Abolish, invalidate, reverse

26 Thus saith the Lord God; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same: exalt him that is low, and abase him that is high. 27 I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him.

Overturn is abolish, invalidate, or reverse. Maybe the reason it is said three times is because god meant it all those ways. He is going to take out anyone who thinks they are more important than the almighty living word.

  30. 6 Sigh therefore, thou son of man, with the breaking of thy loins; and with bitterness sigh before their eyes.

    The end is coming…
Like in thr days of Noah, so will it be in the end. I read this and it seems like God may have felt thr same way here like when he wiped out the earth through a flood. How much sin was all around that decided to just kill the all righteous and wicked? God does not play games; yes He is slow to anger and great in mercy but the sin and inequity of pleople have reached the limit. Now I see here a prophet, a man of God who cries for the people, an audible voice to deliver the message of God. Now we have us the church, believers in Christ filled with His Spirit. Let’s look around it only takes a pair of eyes and ears to see and hear that we are sorround es with sin, sin, all around. Now will we be the voice, men and women of God, to deliver the message, to cry for the people, to lift up their names before the Lord in prayer…your co-worker, your friend, your neighbor, your city. Think about it…there are still so many to reach out

  31. Thus saith the Lord GOD ; Remove the diadem , and take off the crown : this shall not be the same : exalt him that is low , and abase him that is high .
this is what the sovereign LORD says: Tear off the turban, take off the crown! Things must change! Exalt the lowly, bring down the proud!

I will overturn , overturn , overturn , it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him.
A total ruin I will make it! It will come to an end when the one arrives to whom I have assigned judgment.’

    The King to come.

Due to the continued sin of Gods people, they would no longer be a nation. The kingdom would have no king until Jesus came to Earth. The Jews missed it thinking the messiah would set up an earthly kingdom rather than a spiritual one.

  32. Unstoppable

    Galatians 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

    – Love (agape) – sacrificial love; affection, good will, love, benevolence, brotherly love

    – Joy (chara) – joy, gladness; sentiment or object/source of joy

    – Peace (eirene) – tranquility, relational peace (as between two or more parties; harmony), prosperity, safety, security

    – Longsuffering (makrothymia) – patience, endurance, constancy, steadfastness, perseveranc, forbearance, slowness in avenging wrongs

    – Gentleness (chrestotes) – moral goodness, integrity, benignity, kindness, virtuous

    – Goodness (agathosyne) – uprightness of heart and life, goodness, kindness

    – Faith (pistis) – conviction of the truth of anything, belief (with the predominate idea of trust [or confidence] whether in God or in Christ, springing from faith in the same), fidelity

    – Meekness (praotes) – gentleness (of spirit), mildness (as of disposition)

    – Temperance (egkrateia) – self-control (the virtue of one who masters his desires and passions, esp. his sensual appetites)

God is gentle, patient, temperate… but He is still in control. I think we get so caught up in Him *allowing* us to at times walk all over Him that we forget it is only because He allows it and He is perfectly capable of putting a stop to it. Our human strength is so unable to come even close to His. We would be overwhelmed in an instant if God even started showing all He could be.

I think we struggle sometimes to relate the description of God in Ezekiel to the more popular listing of His traits in Galatians 5. He did not change, He’s the same Jesus; the two contrasting descriptions reveal greater depth about God’s character, not a contradiction. We get to see that He is serious about the cost of sin.

But when we think of that in light of the cross and His amazing grace… If we want to get a shot at understanding His love for us, we cannot do so without understanding His hatred for sin. It’s when Galatians 5 and what we’re reading in Ezekiel come together that we can glimpse the reality of Calvary and the miracle of salvation.

    Romans 5:6-8
6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

We get to see how the Lord is unstoppable when it comes to dealing with sin, yet also how His love is unstoppable that even our sin cannot keep Him from loving us.

    Mark 12:29-31
29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: 30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

    Ecclesiastes 12:13
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

    Psalms 25:12-15
12 What man is he that feareth the Lord? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose. 13 His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth. 14 The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant. 15 Mine eyes are ever toward the Lord; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.

  33. God ’s Message came to me: “Son of man, now face Jerusalem and let the Message roll out against the Sanctuary. Prophesy against the land of Israel. Say, ‘ God ’s Message: I’m against you. I’m pulling my sword from its sheath and killing both the wicked and the righteous. Because I’m treating everyone the same, good and bad, everyone from south to north is going to feel my sword! Everyone will know that I mean business.’ (Ezekiel 21:1-5 MSG)

It’s time to stop playing… God is in control.

  34. 31 And I will pour out mine indignation upon thee, I will blow against thee in the fire of my wrath, and deliver thee into the hand of brutish men, and skilful to destroy.

You don’t want to fall into the hands of an angry God. Obey the word of God and this will keep you from God’s wrath.
