Ezekiel 30

1 The word of the Lord came again unto me, saying,

2 Son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord God; Howl ye, Woe worth the day!

3 For the day is near, even the day of the Lord is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen.

4 And the sword shall come upon Egypt, and great pain shall be in Ethiopia, when the slain shall fall in Egypt, and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be broken down.

5 Ethiopia, and Libya, and Lydia, and all the mingled people, and Chub, and the men of the land that is in league, shall fall with them by the sword.

6 Thus saith the Lord; They also that uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her power shall come down: from the tower of Syene shall they fall in it by the sword, saith the Lord God.

7 And they shall be desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate, and her cities shall be in the midst of the cities that are wasted.

8 And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have set a fire in Egypt, and when all her helpers shall be destroyed.

9 In that day shall messengers go forth from me in ships to make the careless Ethiopians afraid, and great pain shall come upon them, as in the day of Egypt: for, lo, it cometh.

10 Thus saith the Lord God; I will also make the multitude of Egypt to cease by the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon.

11 He and his people with him, the terrible of the nations, shall be brought to destroy the land: and they shall draw their swords against Egypt, and fill the land with the slain.

12 And I will make the rivers dry, and sell the land into the hand of the wicked: and I will make the land waste, and all that is therein, by the hand of strangers: I the Lord have spoken it.

13 Thus saith the Lord God; I will also destroy the idols, and I will cause their images to cease out of Noph; and there shall be no more a prince of the land of Egypt: and I will put a fear in the land of Egypt.

14 And I will make Pathros desolate, and will set fire in Zoan, and will execute judgments in No.

15 And I will pour my fury upon Sin, the strength of Egypt; and I will cut off the multitude of No.

16 And I will set fire in Egypt: Sin shall have great pain, and No shall be rent asunder, and Noph shall have distresses daily.

17 The young men of Aven and of Pibeseth shall fall by the sword: and these cities shall go into captivity.

18 At Tehaphnehes also the day shall be darkened, when I shall break there the yokes of Egypt: and the pomp of her strength shall cease in her: as for her, a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall go into captivity.

19 Thus will I execute judgments in Egypt: and they shall know that I am the Lord.

20 And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first month, in the seventh day of the month, that the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

21 Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and, lo, it shall not be bound up to be healed, to put a roller to bind it, to make it strong to hold the sword.

22 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, the strong, and that which was broken; and I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand.

23 And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.

24 And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and put my sword in his hand: but I will break Pharaoh’s arms, and he shall groan before him with the groanings of a deadly wounded man.

25 But I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharaoh shall fall down; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall stretch it out upon the land of Egypt.

26 And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and disperse them among the countries; and they shall know that I am the Lord.

  1. its so weird how the devil can fool some people and think hell get away with it but the things we do were accountable for every action we make and do..we noticed our mistakes and know our god is near and we don’t care our familys are sliping more and more away and passing on and us wishing we can save them or wishing we had done something about it but the lack of anything or things we have to do and need to do we don’t wonna do it cause laziness..i don’t care how long it takes for me but LORD I ask that you keep doing what your doing cause in JESUS NAME every hurting heart and family prayed about every back slider are coming back and getting the greatest gift yet ever found..(AND THAT GIFT IS YOU)thank you daddy for everything I love you…..

NOWS A CHANCE TO FIGHT FOR OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS INCLUDING THOSE IN NEED OF HIS LOVE AND MERCY!!!!!!!! make a difference and do something be something and make those dreams come true to take there pain away

  2. 24 And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and put my sword in his hand: but I will break Pharaoh’s arms, and he shall groan before him with the groanings of a deadly wounded man.

    How the mighty have fallen.

When we put ourselves on a pedestal, we set ourselves up for failure. When we do so , pride is the foundation for the “high and mighty” spirit. Just as lucifer had done. We must check ourselves with plum line of our life, which is the Bible. When our lives are strait with that, we can be sure that we are strait.

  3. 4 And the sword shall come upon Egypt, and great pain shall be in Ethiopia, when the slain shall fall in Egypt, and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be broken down.

    BREAK DOWN HER FOUNDATIONS

The greatest place to attach anything is to destroy it’s foundation. God knows like everyone else, if I can destroy the foundation. I will take away her multitude. It is never a good thing to be crossways with God. Rebellious against his word and his man. God is able to bring great pain on whosoever he will and Egypt was full of rebellion against God and his people.
If the foundations are destroyed, everything else will fall. The foundations destroyed will cause the nation to fall from the top down. The least and the greatest alike shall fall apartment with great pain. The sword of the Lord will come upon rebellion.
God help us to know where we stand and allow God to be Lord of our lives.

  4. Defeated because of pride.

6 Thus saith the Lord; They also that uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her power shall come down: from the tower of Syene shall they fall in it by the sword, saith the Lord God.

If you ever want to lose your victory get prideful. Pride brings defeat, over confidence in oneself brings defeat, arrogance brings defeat, and self boasting brings defeat. Yes, it is that simple, once you start forgetting Who gave you His victory and start rejoicing on your own power YOU WILL BE DEFEATED IN A GRANDEUR WAY!!!! God does nothing in half way so if you are going to be brought down because of your own boasting and pride He will make sure it is done with GRANDEUR. Egypt always thought of themselves with a prepotent spirit and God found Himself having to show that He is the ONLY God; first in the time of Joseph, then in the time of Moses, and now with Ezekiel. Pride is hard to break specially in some cultures. I know it is in me, it has to do a lot with the way I was brought up. My parents always taught me “Ayudate y Dios te ayudara” Help yourself, and then God will help you.” It was to always keep pushing for what you wanted by your own strength and then whatever was left to do give it to God and He will take care of it. The bad thing was that you never learned to let God be God, never learn to leave it at the altar, instead you keep picking it up thinking is ok God let me give it another try I can fix it. You start looking at your accomplishments and start thinking you did it by your own power. It took a long time for me to start saying and acknowledging God in my every step. God willing I will, by God strength I was able to… ALL GLORY, ALL HONOR, ALL GRANDEUR IS HIS AND HIS ALONE. JESUS IS KING OF MY LIFE, JESUS REIGNS IN ME, JESUS RULES IN ME!!!! Everything else is irrelevant.

  5. There’s A Day that’s coming!
“Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. His arm has not been put in a cast so that it may heal. Neither has it been bound up with a splint to make it strong enough to hold a sword. Therefore, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am the enemy of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt! I will break both of his arms—the good arm along with the broken one—and I will make his sword clatter to the ground. I will strengthen the arms of Babylon’s king and put my sword in his hand. But I will break the arms of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and he will lie there mortally wounded, groaning in pain. (Ezekiel 30:21, 22, 24 NLT)
Pride becomes rebellion, rebellion becomes sin, sin becomes death.
We must become a nation that seeks and desire a true relationship with GOD!
If America doesn’t wake up and recognize where it stands with God, then it is not to far from being destroyed by the hand of a living GOD! My prayer today is that we repent, obey, and that righteousness prevails in this country…. America the Free.
Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. (Proverbs 14:34 KJV)

  6. Verse 6 AMP “Thus says the Lord: They also who uphold or lean upon and are supported by Egypt shall fall, and the pride of her power shall come down; from Migdol [in the north] to Syene [in the south] they shall fall within her by the sword, says the Lord God.”

We must be careful not to lean on this world or support what it offers because it will fall. John 14:27 AMP says “Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]” Same verse NLT “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” Trust and lean on Jesus.

  7. 24 And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and put my sword in his hand: but I will break Pharaoh’s arms, and he shall groan before him with the groanings of a deadly wounded man.

If God be for us who can be against!!!??

  8. iLove to eat the Word

6 Thus saith the Lord; They also that uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her power shall come down: from the tower of Syene shall they fall in it by the sword, saith the Lord God.

The verses below speak of “Migdol and Syene.” In Bibles with commentaries, you’ll see that “Migdol” can also be translated “tower”, while the word Syene is Aswan in English. So the phrase is “the tower of Syene.”

There are very many commentaries identifying Syene as Aswan in English. There is no doubt at all on this. Aswan only became significant in 1967 with the Russian led building of one of the biggest dams in the world.

There was no “tower” until 1967. The huge hydroelectric power station on the dam wall, or even the dam itself may be this “tower” There is also a large towering monument next to the dam wall in the shape of a large lotus flower.

  9. THE DAY OF THE LORD

For the day is near, even the day of the Lord is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen. (Ezekiel 30:3 KJV)

So often we find ourselves “living for today” ourselves and our personal temporary desires rise to importance over our LORD JESUS and HIS eternal desires. Wise is the person that realizes and lives as such that the day of LORD is near, HIS return for eternal purposes is quickly approaching.

For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. (1 Thessalonians 5:2 KJV)

The day of the LORD will come as a surprise to those that are not watching for it. Let us be careful to maintain focus on these perilous times to not be caught unaware of the eternal pending judgement that is coming upon this earth for its wickedness and selfish unrighteousness.

The Day of the LORD is at hand!

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  10. 20-26
Ther message is dricted against Pharoh Hophra who in 588bc had hadhearttedly tried to draw Babylonian forces away from the Sieg of Jerusalem . Egyptian monuments show a flexed arm was a symbol of Pharaohs strength and one of Hophras formal was stronged armed. with both arms broken Pharoh would be unable to resist.

  11. Just make sure, those troubles or hardships you might be going thru aren’t from God. It just might be, in God’s plan for you to suffer thru those hardships. So, it’s good to seek guidance on any issue or what to do next.

    “Keep your Place”………………………………..

  12. This chapter illustrates settled. Their actions settled their fate. One must be mindful of one’s actions for the word of God (Jesus) is forever settled; “For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven”. What a mighty God we serve! May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  13. Don’t say No!

15 And I will pour my fury upon Sin, the strength of Egypt; and I will cut off the multitude of No.

Sin and No were cities in Egypt. Egypt is a type of the world and these two cities can share similarities with what is in this world. Sin and No, to the Holy Ghost.

    Rev 3:20 NIV
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.

If one says no my not opening the door, they in turn sin against the God of Creation. They are none of his because they didn’t hear his voice and answer.

    John 10:27 NIV
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

    John 8:44 NIV

You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

By not answering the Call one falls into the world. The fury of the Lord will be released on those who reject Christ and live in sin. The strength of this world will fade.

  14. 3. For the day is near, even the day of the LORD is near, a cloudy day ; it shall be the time of the heathen. 4. And the sword shall come upon E’-gypt, and great pain shall be in E-thi-o’-pi-a, when the slain shall fall in E’-gypt, and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be broken down. 5. E-thi-o’-pi-a, and Lib’-y-a, and Lyd’-i-a, and all the minggled people, and Chub, and the men of the land that is in league, shall fall with them by the sword. 6. Thus saith the LORD; They aqlso that uphold E’-gypt shall fall; and the pride of her power shall come down: from the towerof Sye’-ne shall they fall in it by the sword, saith the Lord GOD.

  15. 10-12 “‘God, the Master, says:
    “‘I’ll put a stop to Egypt’s arrogance.
I’ll use Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to do it.
He and his army, the most brutal of nations,
shall be used to destroy the country.
    They’ll brandish their swords
    and fill Egypt with corpses.
    I’ll dry up the Nile
and sell off the land to a bunch of crooks.
I’ll hire outsiders to come in
and waste the country, strip it clean.
    I, God, have said so.

Sometimes God uses people we wouldn’t even think about so that He can work in our lives. Next time someone rubs me the wrong way, I need to stop and take inventory to see if God is using that person to create in my His likeness and ways.

  16. 3 For the day is near, even the day of the Lord is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen.

In many disciplines in the world there is a great time of waiting. Before the brain surgeon can pick up the scalpel he must go through training, schooling, assisting, and interning. Before a boxer can fight the heavy weight champion of the world there is first a rigorous daily exercise regimen that must be undergone. The diet must change, and hours spent running, hitting the punchin bag, jumping rope, and whatever else is necessary before the foe is faced.

The same principle is applies in the kingdom. Before we are going to be what God has called us to be we must first go through many tests, trials, and training. Our school is built on a foundation of effectual fervent prayer, and studying to show ourselves approved unto God.

    Why?

    In preparation for That Day.

  17. My goodness. These people just don’t how awesome God is. Why s it that we/they don’t realize how great God is in the good times. I often see how people have strayed when everything is good. Then something terrible happens to the so that they are reminded about what Gid initial purpose was. My prayer is tat we never take God for granted in the good times and in the hard times. Maybe that we we can avoid some of our needless trals by reamanining focused on Him!

  18. Anthony- I think that Jesus is trying to say that when he comes back, when you haven’t done what he said, there is no going back, its the end.

Michael- Let’s dig in. What did Nebuchadrezzar do and was he a good man or a bad man? Why was he the king? Jesus is the king! Why do we have earthly kings? We just need Jesus.

Joseph- When Jesus comes down from heaven hes going to fire the whole earth.

Jessie- There is a day of reckoning coming that we must all be prepared for. There is a battle now but there is a reward awaiting. We are called to fight the good fight and make a way for our savior.

  19. When God Takes Over

    Ezekiel 30:25 NLT
I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, while the arms of Pharaoh fall useless to his sides. And when I put my sword in the hand of Babylon’s king and he brings it against the land of Egypt, Egypt will know that I am the Lord.

When God steps in, things change. I am reminded of what someone said recently God laid on their heart: God is unchanging, but creation is temporal and under the power of God to change. What is impossible to man is possible with God. There is nothing too hard for Him. People may stand in their will but God knows how to bring any of us to our knees. I believe the Word delivered a while back: God isn’t just here to help, He’s here for a takeover. When God takes over, all things are possible.

    Genesis 18:14
Is any thing too hard for the Lord?…

    Luke 1:37
For with God nothing shall be impossible.

  20. Ezekiel 30:2-3 “Son of man, prophesy and give this message from the Sovereign Lord:“Weep and wailfor that day, for the terrible day is almost here—the day of the Lord!It is a day of clouds and gloom,a day of despair for the nations.

This just made me think a lot of what the Lord has been doing recently among the church. He is pouring out of His Spirit, miracles, signs, wonders of God all around….He is wanting His people to leave the idols and come back to Him. He loves us so much, bit there is that terrible day of the Lord coming… Our life is not our own, all belongs to the Lord. How are we living these days? How you ever wondered what’s in God’s heart for these last times? I want to be ready for thr day of the Lord so I must be about my Father’s business.

  21. Many people seek the face of a ruler, but it is from the Lord that one receives justice. -Proverbs 29:26

God judges with righteous judgement. Thank The Lord for his mercy that extends unto me day after day.

  22. 25 But I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharaoh shall fall down; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall stretch it out upon the land of Egypt.

  23. Dont lose the ViSION!!
We always have to make sure we are ready for judgement day. We can loose our focus on the things of God when the issues of life seems to have taken over.

  24. The Lord the Master of eveything has had enough from Egypt. He will have no mercy with Pharoah, he will be getting rid of all idols and all the prideful because they chose to be rebellious. God will burn them and get rid of them all.

Lord help me to do your will and not mine. Lord have mercy on me.

  25. After everything that God has done for people, some feel it’s okay to boast themselves and not the one who got them there. Too many times we believe ‘some things just happen’ when in reality God allowed it play out the way it did and He’s waiting to receive His thanks!

  26. SANTO SANTO SANTO!!!
18 At Tehaphnehes also the day shall be darkened, when I shall break there the yokes of Egypt: and the pomp of her strength shall cease in her: as for her, a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall go into captivity.
OUR CHOICES DO HAVE AN AFFECT ON FUTURE GENERATIONS, BEIT GOOD OR BAD BUT THERE IS AN AFFECT!!! THANK YOU JESUS!!! I LOVE YOU JESUS AND I PRAISE YOUR NAME!!! THERE IS NO ONE LIKE YOU DADDY!!! THANK YOU FOR GREAT MERCY!!! HALELUJAH!!! THANK YOU FOR THE BLOOD!!!

  27. Great Cities of Egypt

A world power for centuries, Egypt was a mighty nation with a number of great cities. Ezekiel lists specific judgments on 8 of them. Memphis, situated on the Nile near the modernday city of Ciaro, was Egypt’s 1st capital. Zoan, a capital of Egypt’s early history and an important religious center, eventually became the city of Alexandria. Renowned for its huge city of the dead, Thebes, also known as No, was the center for worship of the god Amon. Located on the northeastern border of Egypt, Pelusium was the residence of the ruling dynasty of Egypt in Ezekiel’s day. The ancient city of Heliopolis, also called On, was the religious center of their sun god. Shishak, an upstart king of Egypt, invaded Israel during the time of Rehoboam from his capital city of Bubastis. Taphanhes was situated on the eastern edge of the Nile delta and was the city to which many Jews fled after Jerusalem fell to the Babylonians. All these cities shared a common fate in God’s judgment of Egypt.

  28. 20 And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first month, in the seventh day of the month, that the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

21 Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and, lo, it shall not be bound up to be healed, to put a roller to bind it, to make it strong to hold the sword.

It’s the 11th year! God is going to be breaking down those things that caused so many to be bound and raise up who were bound to be strong. Strength and power is coming!
