Ezekiel 46

1Thus saith the Lord God; The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the sabbath it shall be opened, and in the day of the new moon it shall be opened.

2 And the prince shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate without, and shall stand by the post of the gate, and the priests shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings, and he shall worship at the threshold of the gate: then he shall go forth; but the gate shall not be shut until the evening.

3 Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the door of this gate before the Lord in the sabbaths and in the new moons.

4 And the burnt offering that the prince shall offer unto theLord in the sabbath day shall be six lambs without blemish, and a ram without blemish.

5 And the meat offering shall be an ephah for a ram, and the meat offering for the lambs as he shall be able to give, and an hin of oil to an ephah.

6 And in the day of the new moon it shall be a young bullock without blemish, and six lambs, and a ram: they shall be without blemish.

7 And he shall prepare a meat offering, an ephah for a bullock, and an ephah for a ram, and for the lambs according as his hand shall attain unto, and an hin of oil to an ephah.

8 And when the prince shall enter, he shall go in by the way of the porch of that gate, and he shall go forth by the way thereof.

9 But when the people of the land shall come before the Lordin the solemn feasts, he that entereth in by the way of the north gate to worship shall go out by the way of the south gate; and he that entereth by the way of the south gate shall go forth by the way of the north gate: he shall not return by the way of the gate whereby he came in, but shall go forth over against it.

10 And the prince in the midst of them, when they go in, shall go in; and when they go forth, shall go forth.

11 And in the feasts and in the solemnities the meat offering shall be an ephah to a bullock, and an ephah to a ram, and to the lambs as he is able to give, and an hin of oil to an ephah.

12 Now when the prince shall prepare a voluntary burnt offering or peace offerings voluntarily unto the Lord, one shall then open him the gate that looketh toward the east, and he shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings, as he did on the sabbath day: then he shall go forth; and after his going forth one shall shut the gate.

13 Thou shalt daily prepare a burnt offering unto the Lord of a lamb of the first year without blemish: thou shalt prepare it every morning.

14 And thou shalt prepare a meat offering for it every morning, the sixth part of an ephah, and the third part of an hin of oil, to temper with the fine flour; a meat offering continually by a perpetual ordinance unto the Lord.

15 Thus shall they prepare the lamb, and the meat offering, and the oil, every morning for a continual burnt offering.

16 Thus saith the Lord God; If the prince give a gift unto any of his sons, the inheritance thereof shall be his sons’; it shall be their possession by inheritance.

17 But if he give a gift of his inheritance to one of his servants, then it shall be his to the year of liberty; after it shall return to the prince: but his inheritance shall be his sons’ for them.

18 Moreover the prince shall not take of the people’s inheritance by oppression, to thrust them out of their possession; but he shall give his sons inheritance out of his own possession: that my people be not scattered every man from his possession.

19 After he brought me through the entry, which was at the side of the gate, into the holy chambers of the priests, which looked toward the north: and, behold, there was a place on the two sides westward.

20 Then said he unto me, This is the place where the priests shall boil the trespass offering and the sin offering, where they shall bake the meat offering; that they bear them not out into the utter court, to sanctify the people.

21 Then he brought me forth into the utter court, and caused me to pass by the four corners of the court; and, behold, in every corner of the court there was a court.

22 In the four corners of the court there were courts joined of forty cubits long and thirty broad: these four corners were of one measure.

23 And there was a row of building round about in them, round about them four, and it was made with boiling places under the rows round about.

24 Then said he unto me, These are the places of them that boil, where the ministers of the house shall boil the sacrifice of the people.

  1. 9 But when the people of the land shall come before the Lordin the solemn feasts, he that entereth in by the way of the north gate to worship shall go out by the way of the south gate; and he that entereth by the way of the south gate shall go forth by the way of the north gate: he shall not return by the way of the gate whereby he came in, but shall go forth over against it.

The people did not leave the same way they came. They came in one gate and left another. Likewise, when we come into the presence of a Holy God, the Healer, the Delivered, the Redeemer, we should not leave the same way we came either. We should leave changed and different.

Today many people are going to come into the presence of God that have never experienced His presence before. They are going to be touched my His life changing power. They will not leave like they came either. It is up to the those that minister and lead at POFW to prepare an atmosphere of faith through praise and worship that when the WORD goes forth, mixed with faith the WORD will do what it was sent to do: heal, deliver, set free, repair the brokeness of lives, and bring salvation and hope!

  2. Christ is the Lamb without Blemish

13 Thou shalt daily prepare a burnt offering unto the Lord of a lamb of the first year without blemish: thou shalt prepare it every morning.

Every morning we are given another opportunity to begin again. Begin with a sacrifice of Praise and Prayer, applying His Precious Blood in our lives. Living in this world is hard enough, I could not imagine doing it without prayer. A morning of Prayer, keeps us safe, keep us covered, and keeps us full of hope. His Presence in the morning, blesses everything we do during the day. I am thankful for a visit with God every morning, for He guides my steps, and set them in solid ground.

  3. iLove to eat the Word

15 Thus shall they prepare the lamb, and the meat offering, and the oil, every morning for a continual burnt offering.

Every morning we should come in the Name of the Lamb (Jesus) and let that Lamb cleanse us of all sins. We daily need the anointing oil and the meat of the Word…it may seem like we are burning time…well, we are; Its a burnt offering.

  4. This chapter illustrates process. There was a process that was to be followed. One will find there is also a process today; “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God”. What a mighty God we serve! May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  5. It is because of God and the blood He so willingly shed for us we are free to live today! Knowing that He gave His life for us we shouldn’t hesitate to give our life to Him!

  6. DONT LEAVE THE WAY YOU CAME

9 But when the people of the land shall come before the Lord in the solemn feasts, he that entereth in by the way of the north gate to worship shall go out by the way of the south gate; and he that entereth by the way of the south gate shall go forth by the way of the north gate: he shall not return by the way of the gate whereby he came in, but shall go forth over against it.

It is the plan and will of GOD that we never leave his solemn feast, a worship service dedicated to HIM the same way we came in. Notice that if they came in the North they would leave out the South gate, indicating that they would pass through in the same direction. Pressing toward the mark and never developing the mentality to return or go back.

We are wise to live by this principal and go through whatever GOD has brought us to. Let’s purpose in our hearts and minds that we will never leave the presence of the LORD the way we came. But we will come out a different way than we went in.

An old chorus we used to sing:

And you won’t leave here like you came in Jesus Name!
You may be bound, oppressed, tourmented, sick or lame.
For the Holy Ghost of Acts, is still the same.
And you won’t leave here, like you came in Jesus Name!

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iChange
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  7. Can’t Go Back

The people had to come in and go out following the same linear point. They were not allowed to gobs jot turn (not even to the side)

We can never go back to the way things were. Keep in the straight and narrow path

  8. Sacrifice

18 Moreover the prince shall not take of the people’s inheritance by oppression, to thrust them out of their possession; but he shall give his sons inheritance out of his own possession: that my people be not scattered every man from his possession.

    John 15:13
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

    1 John 3:1
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

The love that Jesus poured out on the cross was a sacrifice of Himself, not another. He wasn’t a Father who sent a “son” but Himself robed in flesh so that we might receive His sacrifice and enter into sonship and the inheritance of divine Royalty.

    2 Samuel 24:24
And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the Lord my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

We can’t out-give God. Jesus loves us with a love that cost Him everything in the flesh; He didn’t hold back but surrendered all that He might win our all. We humans are used to giving and receiving partial, broken, flawed kinds of love, but the sacrifice of Calvary exemplifies the completeness, the perfection of Jesus’ love for us. Others will fail but Jesus’ love never fails.

    Jeremiah 31:3
The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.

  9. 9 But when the people of the land shall come before the Lordin the solemn feasts, he that entereth in by the way of the north gate to worship shall go out by the way of the south gate; and he that entereth by the way of the south gate shall go forth by the way of the north gate: he shall not return by the way of the gate whereby he came in, but shall go forth over against it.

    I’m not the same..
God expects us to do the same as the people coming into the temple back then…come out different, not the same way you entered. Not with the same things, and burdens or sin. When we come into His presence we should be a new creature when we leave the temple.

  10. 3 Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the door of this gate before the Lord in the sabbaths and in the new moons.

  11. Change of Direction

We should never enter in the same way we came. From a mentality point of view, if we enter in bound and burdened, we should be leaving free and stress free.

  12. The Eastern Gates

The eastern gate of the inner court is to be closed on th sixth working day of the week, but it is to be opened on the Sabbath and during the New Moon Festival, obviously so the people can enter the temple for worship on those days. In costrast, the eastern gate of the outer courts is to be permanently closed according to Ezekiel 44:2. Ezekiel not only saw God’s glory leave the temple through this gate (Eze 10:18-19), but he also saw God’s glory return through this gate (Eze 43:1-4). Perhaps this gate is now to remain closed because God’s entrance through it has made it holy. Perhaps the gate is to remain closed to prevent the worship of the sun. Interestingly, the eastern gate into the Moslem mosque that now resides on the temple mount is also permanently closed because of a tradition that is related to this one in Ezekiel.
