Ezekiel 47

1 Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.

2 Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.

3 And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles.

4 Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins.

5 Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.

6 And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river.

7 Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.

8 Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.

9 And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.

10 And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it from Engedi even unto Eneglaim; they shall be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.

11 But the miry places thereof and the marishes thereof shall not be healed; they shall be given to salt.

12 And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.

13 Thus saith the Lord God; This shall be the border, whereby ye shall inherit the land according to the twelve tribes of Israel: Joseph shall have two portions.

14 And ye shall inherit it, one as well as another: concerning the which I lifted up mine hand to give it unto your fathers: and this land shall fall unto you for inheritance.

15 And this shall be the border of the land toward the north side, from the great sea, the way of Hethlon, as men go to Zedad;

16 Hamath, Berothah, Sibraim, which is between the border of Damascus and the border of Hamath; Hazarhatticon, which is by the coast of Hauran.

17 And the border from the sea shall be Hazarenan, the border of Damascus, and the north northward, and the border of Hamath. And this is the north side.

18 And the east side ye shall measure from Hauran, and from Damascus, and from Gilead, and from the land of Israel by Jordan, from the border unto the east sea. And this is the east side.

19 And the south side southward, from Tamar even to the waters of strife in Kadesh, the river to the great sea. And this is the south side southward.

20 The west side also shall be the great sea from the border, till a man come over against Hamath. This is the west side.

21 So shall ye divide this land unto you according to the tribes of Israel.

22 And it shall come to pass, that ye shall divide it by lot for an inheritance unto you, and to the strangers that sojourn among you, which shall beget children among you: and they shall be unto you as born in the country among the children of Israel; they shall have inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel.

23 And it shall come to pass, that in what tribe the stranger sojourneth, there shall ye give him his inheritance, saith the Lord God.

  1. God includes the Gentiles

God includes the Gentiles from the start in the inheritance. Yes, you and me, were included, and we will inherit the land just like the tribes of Israel. Jesus Christ came to save that which was lost. (Matt 18:11) Claim your inheritance, Today is the day of Salvation, Now is the Time. Do not hesitate, YOUR INHERITANCE AWAITS.

  2. 10 And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it from Engedi even unto Eneglaim; they shall be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.

    Fishers of Men

When the waters begin to flow, then we can start to catch from the deep waters. The reality is the deeper the water the more the fish. God has placed POFW into a place of very deep water with a pool of around 3 million people from 3 or 4 counties surrounding us.
WE need to just spread our nets. Take notice that the fishermen caught fish according to their kind. We can reach people of our kind if we cast our nets in the right place. I can’t help but remember when Jesus told his disciples to cast their nets on the other side. These professional fishermen said they had cast their nets all night and had caught nothing.
Reluctantly they said nevertheless at thy word we will do this. They caught so much their nets began to break.

    Luke 5:4-6

4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.

5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

So I gather from this POFW let’s go fishing!!!!

  3. 6 And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river.

Sometimes God must wonder if we’re paying attention. He brings us to things and shows us things and maybe we are just not ‘getting it’ and He has to stop and say, “Hey, are you even seeing what I’m showing you?” I want to be sensitive to what He is saying and is trying to show me because I know there is a reason and it’s always for my benefit…either a lesson or a blessin’.

  4. The caption in the NLT begins with “The River of Healing” and it reminded me of a song we would sing alot at our church in Guam called “Let the River flow”.

Let the poor man say I am rich again
Let the lost man said I am found again
    Whoa, let the river flow
Let the blind man say I can see again
Let the dead man say I am born again
    Whoa, let the river flow
Yeah, yeah, yeah, let the river flow.

    Let the river flow
    Let the river flow
    Holy spirit come
    Moving power
    Let the river flow.

Verses 8-9 NLT “Then he said to me, “This river flows east through the desert into the valley of the Dead Sea. The waters of this stream will make the salty waters of the Dead Sea fresh and pure. There will be swarms of living things wherever the water of this river flows. Fish will abound in the Dead Sea, for its waters will become fresh. Life will flourish wherever this water flows.”

  5. WE MUST HEAR TO RECEIVE REVELATION

Ezekiel 47:6 And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river.

Notice that Ezekiel had to hear the voice to lead him on that journey to ever see what he saw! Fort Worth is depending on us, our families, friends, neighbors and acquaintances are depending on us and they don’t eve know it.

We are on the brink of something BIG enough to get lost in.

It would be a tragedy to be alive today and not know what GOD is doing. It would be a greater tragedy to be alive today, knowing what GOD is doing, and not be a part of IT.

Led by angelic being, while captive in Babylon “AGAIN” to the door. This time he saw something.

Ezekiel stood before this tremendous door of opportunity while captive in Babylon. GOD may show you something before he brings you OUT.

Ezekiel stood on “WET” ground; we have been here before; too many people are satisfied to be here. Simply standing on wet ground; you feel something but not much resistance and still in complete control.

    He keeps walking!
He keeps walking until he loses control in the waters around him!

Lets keep walking POFW the water is getting deeper and the resistance stronger, however the opportunities are becoming greater for the endtime harvest.

  6. Fruit trees of all kinds will grow along both sides of the river. The leaves of these trees will never turn brown and fall, and there will always be fruit on their branches. There will be a new crop every month, for they are watered by the river flowing from the Temple. The fruit will be for food and the leaves for healing.” (Ezekiel 47:12 NLT)

Thankful for the flow of the Holy Ghost, river of living water. The Lord has been so merciful and great. If we are connect and dependant on His sources we will never wither and always bear fruit.

But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do. (Psalms 1:2, 3 NLT)

  7. ILove to eat the Word

I KNEW THERE WAS A REASON THAT THERE WAS A CREEK ON OUR NEW PROPERTY. ONCE WE’RE ON OUR NEW PROPERTY AND THE LIVING WATER STARTS FLOWING FROM THE PULPIT, THE LIVING WATER IS GOING TO FLOW DOWN THAT CREEK AND FLOOD THE SURROUNDING NEIGHBORHOODS…IN JESUS NAME.

  8. 5 Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.

This is one of my favorite chapters in the bible. It represents life to me. The flow of the water was unmeasurable and everything that came in contact with is was restored and flowed with life.

This is prophetic for POFW. The spirit of God that is flowing into us, His anointing, is going to lead us to areas that are unmeasurable, and everywhere we allow the spirit of God to lead us, life will come to those areas.

  9. What is an inheritance? Is it something we acquire after a loved one passes away, maybe an old picture frame, piece of furniture or some cash? According to Webster it is “the right of an heir to succeed to property on the death of an ancestor.” The Bible is clear that inheriting eternal life is our inheritance. At the judgment, the righteous will inherit the kingdom (Matt 25:34) but the wicked will be eternally tormented (Matt 25:46).

    Galatians 3 says:
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise (verses 13-14, 29).

  10. Going the extra Mile

Playing it safe is not an option. Many times as christians we want to “play it safe,” and just do the minimal of what is expected of us. Even when it comes to the things of God. We say how far ,or how long do I have to go through this season? We all have done this at some point of time in our walk with God. But, we see here that it will pay to go futher than ever before.
In a cubit is 18 inches and for the 4000 cubits that are mentioned in this passage, it is 1.25 miles long. Many of us would stop and 100-300 feet from the shore. For each new “level” of opprotunity ,as we read, it was 1000 cubits or about 1/4 mile. It was a long process. But ,Oh, the opprotunities when you get out in the deep. You can swim and are free from the bondaries of land. There is freedom when we go the extra length. The same goes for the things of God. Whne we go futher in God ,He will show us things that we could not see before due to the bounds of our minds at the time of where we were. Go futher out into the deep to swim in the glory of God.

  11. 9 And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.

Something really stood out to me in this passage, the part that says “everything shall live whither the river cometh.” the word says out of our belly s well flow rivers of living water. It also says he came to give us life and life more abundantly. With our prayers in the holy ghost we are able to access those rivers, through that river we have life.. Every thing shall live whither the river cometh. Hallelujah 🙂

  12. Sounds like, living waters…………..

9 And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.

    AMEN…………..

  13. This chapter illustrates flow. The flow of the water, yielded life. The flow of God (Jesus), also yields life for one that is willing; “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water”. What a mighty God we serve! May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  14. 9 And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.

Imagine we have the Holy Ghost. This is called a fountain of living water. As we travel through a world of people spiritually dead we can begin to pray in tongues and the river of life begins to pour upon them.

The more we pray in the spirit the more we will overflow with him!

Once they feel it coming from us they will want it as well!

  15. 9 And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.

    Net breaking experience:
God is preparing this church and this youth group for a net breaking experience of growth and prosperity!! Jesus said to Peter “Let down your nets” and before you know it there was more fish that what he could handle!!! That is the revival and increase God has for us.

  16. Wow!
You have to have water to go fishing

3 And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles.

4 Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins.

5 Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.

When the river of living water reaches the brink in our lives and then our church, then it will be easy to witness and win souls.

10 And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it from Engedi even unto Eneglaim; they shall be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.

The spirit of God draws men to him. It is the spirit of God in us that they initially feel. Before they experience God themselves, they feel something in us. The spirit inside us calls them or pushes them away.

We have to fill up and go fishing!

  17. 10 And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it from Engedi even unto Eneglaim; they shall be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.

And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. -Matthew 4:19

Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. -Luke 5:4

When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into the deep water and lower your nets for a catch.” -Luke 5:4 NET

It is time for us to see the great draught of souls that The Lord has in this city. Don’t under estimate what God is doing in this city.

  18. Overwhelming

And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins. Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over. (Ezekiel 47:3-5 KJV)

What do we do when it is overwhelming? When it is at the ankles, knee or loins we try to stand on our own. We just use our own power to try to figure the things out. Whether it be blessings or trials we often just use our own power to survive. But then…when it is big enough to swim you go under. It is no longer your will that is in control. You then have to trust God as you take deep breaths to survive. You pray more. You trust more. When the water is too deep to breath anymore you have to have faith that his breath or spirit will carry you through.

Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak. (Mark 14:38 KJV)

How deep are you willing to go? How much will you really trust ?

  19. With God there is absolutely nothing impossible for Him to do! With our faith there are not mountains that cannot be moved!!
Thank you Jesus for your mighty hand!

  20. 4 Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees.

We must all go deeper in Him. Every time losing more and more of our control, our life. As we keep marching on, not being complacent, but marching forward in the river you will feel its refreshing power but with it the resistance. How much longer? Keep walking, pressing on, till you finally loose control and have to swim. Then you’re at the mercy of the flow. What I see here is that we must first go to the deep personally and corporately with God then shall we return to the brink of the river and see. The trees, the fruit, the fish. God wants us to go deeper, but the deeper we go the harder the opposition and resistance. Why? The same God that controls the seas controls the flow of your life. Sometimes I feel we fight that river ourselves, not trusting, without knowing that it’s the rivier or living water trying to take is deeper. Could it be that all we have to focus let go and be drifted away into the deep things of God, following the river of life?

  21. The Process

We must have patience after we receive a Word to allow it to produce fruit. When a seed is planted, it needs time to take root, sprout, mature, bud, blossom, and eventually produce matured fruit. Part of submitting to God’s Word is submitting to His timing; if we have patience and lean not to our own understanding and let God be God, we can watch our harvest come right on time. God’s time clock is not our own, He can bring harvest when it needs to come. We must trust in Him to bring it to fulfillment when it is right and rejoice in the process in the meantime.

    Genesis 18:10-14
10 And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him. 11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women. 12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also? 13 And the Lord said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old? 14 Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

    Amos 9:13-15 NLT
13 “The time will come,” says the Lord, “when the grain and grapes will grow faster than they can be harvested. Then the terraced vineyards on the hills of Israel will drip with sweet wine! 14 I will bring my exiled people of Israel back from distant lands, and they will rebuild their ruined cities and live in them again. They will plant vineyards and gardens; they will eat their crops and drink their wine. 15 I will firmly plant them there
in their own land. They will never again be uprooted from the land I have given them,” says the Lord your God.

    Isaiah 55:8-11
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. 10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

    Psalms 130:5
I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

  22. 13 Thus saith the Lord God; This shall be the border, whereby ye shall inherit the land according to the twelve tribes of Israel: Joseph shall have two portions.

  23. No healing in the bog

11 But the miry places thereof and the marishes thereof shall not be healed; they shall be given to salt.

Miry land is boggy and to wet to support a heavy body. If we walk in muddy paths, we miss out on the healing that is offered to us. Any path not founded on Christ is the wrong path. I Cor 3:11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ NLT

  24. The River

Ezekiel’s divine messenger now leads him on an exploration of an amazing river. This river flows from beneath the south side of the temple allthe way east to the Dead Sea (vs8). Trees grow in healthy numbers all along the river, and they bear fruit on a monthly cycle (Eze v12) When the river’s waters empty into the Dead Sea, that water comes to life with fish of many kinds (v9), a wonderful picture of God’s fuitful and healthy future of provision. This entire passage is the antitype of the restoration of Eden mentioned in Rev 22:1-5:

1Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. 3No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. 4They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.
