Psalm 19

1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,

5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.

6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.

9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

12 Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.

13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.

14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

  1. 14.LET THE WORD OF MY MOUTH, AND THE MEDITATION OF MY HEART, BE ACCEPTABLE IN THY SIGHT, O LORD MY STRENGTH ANDMY REDEEMER.

  2. 1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Every verse here speaks of the glory of God. There is nothing more powerful or wonderful than Gid’s Glory. It can not be replaced by anything. We must cherish The Glory of God, and thank The Lord if we have had the privilege of feeling or seeing God’s Glory. Nothing in this earthly world can compare. I do not know what more to say except THANK YOU GOD

  3. Are thoughts sin???
14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

It is clear that my thoughts need to be acceptable to God and what is not acceptable to God is sinful. So keep your heart and mind in Jesus and His Glory will cover you for ever.

  4. 14. Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

I want not only what I say to be acceptable to Him, but what I meditate on in my heart to be acceptable as well. The only way I can do that is to allow Him to redeem me and continually be my strength.

    Exodus 15:2
The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him.

  5. 9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

What a great reminder of how the fear of The Lord is. Without it we gamble our walk with Him. We take the chance of losing it all. Thank God for righteousness and a fear for Him.

  6. 4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,

  7. The Message version reads: 11-13 “God’s Word warns us of danger and directs us to hidden treasure.
Otherwise how will we find our way? Or know when we play the fool? Clean the slate, God, so we can start the day fresh! Keep me from stupid sins, from thinking I can take over your work;”

What hidden treasure interests you, what are you searching for? Is it gold, silver, precious stones or other loot? Or, is it the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, faith, healing, the working of miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, divers kinds of tongues or the interpretation of tongues?

Psalm 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. KJV
Psalm 20:4 May he grant your heart’s desires and make all your plans succeed. NLT

  8. iLove to eat the Word

7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

    convert-
    verb
    kənˈvərt/
    1.
cause to change in form, character, or function.
“production processes that converted raw material into useful forms”
synonyms: change, turn, transform, metamorphose, transfigure, transmute

The Word of God is powerful. If we bring folks to church they will then have the opportunity to be converted. Conversion is taking something that’s not that useful and changing it to where it has purpose! That will preach!

  9. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer. (Psalms 19:14 NKJV)

*let everything that I say everything that my heart feels, everything I think of. And everything I do. Let it be good in your eyes. Let me see what you want me to see

    Give me your eyes

  10. Seeing The FedEx Arrow

In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun

There are some realities of God that we stare at our whole lives but somehow just don’t see on our own. The FedEx logo arrow is a great parable about this “seeing but not understanding.” The Psalmist even goes on to speak of how God’s Word reveals God’s ways and how we should live, yet still we can miss the mark unknowingly. This highlights both the importance of us reaching to others and sharing the gospel as well as us making sure someone is still reaching and sharing truth with us. None of us is above needing helping and none of us are already perfect, we’re all still works in progress. There are more FedEx arrows out there than just Acts 2:38 and as we go through life, we will find even individually we will have FedEx arrow moments that will amaze us when we finally see them. But it behooves us to be hungry to learn and have a teachable spirit. We shouldn’t have to be run over by a FedEx truck before we will see the arrow. God will whisper if we are listening and positioned.

Romans 10:14-15 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

    Acts 8:29-31
29 Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.

30 And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?

31 And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.

Proverbs 1:5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels

    Isaiah 42:16-20
16 And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.

17 They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye are our gods.

18 Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see.

19 Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the Lord’s servant?

20 Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not.

  11. 1 The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship.
2 Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known.
3 They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard.
4 Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world. (NLT)

How great is our God! We’ve all heard the saying a picture is worth a thousand words; I imagine God’s creations being a giant masterpiece He has made – how awesome! His works speak for themselves and are wonderful just as God had them be, Lord you are worthy and deserve all glory!

  12. 7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

The Word of the Lord is very beneficial to us but we must apply it. The key is to not just apply some and discard the rest but take it all in. Every word will transform us to be whole and incredibly unique for the destiny we have in Him.
When we really think about it God made the world and the beauty of the snow capped mountains, the endless sea, and the beauty of fall. If he loves us more what would make us think that we would not transform us to be just as beautiful. He will, through His word, relationship with Him, and prayer.

Falling in love with Jesus, Falling in love with Jesus, Falling in love with Jesus is the best thing I’ve ever, ever done.

  13. 3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

Thank you so much Jesus that you heard me! And not only me but hurting people all around the world. Thank you for loving is so much you would save us from our troubles

  14. 14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

Lord help me to watch the things that come out of my mouth and let them be acceptable to The Lord !!

  15. 7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

What is the “they” in verse 10:
    1. The law of the Lord
    2. The testimony of the Lord
    3. The statutes of the Lord
    4. The commandment of the Lord
    5. The fear of the Lord
    6. The judgements of the Lord

What is the commandment of the Lord?: to love the Lord thy God with all thine heart mind and souls… For if we truly do this, ALL the rest will fall into place, as we have a burden for the lost, a respect for His statutes, laws, testimony, judgements, and a love for those around us..

  16. The Law of the LORD The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. 8. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. Ps. 12:6 9. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. 10. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Ps. 119: 72 Prov. 8: 10 11. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

  17. MSG – 7-9 The revelation of God is whole and pulls our lives together.
The signposts of God are clear and point out the right road.
The life-maps of God are right, showing the way to joy.
The directions of God are plain and easy on the eyes.

11- There’s more: God’s Word warns us of danger
and directs us to hidden treasure.

The treasures hidden within the pages of the living WORD, breathing daily into our lives is our roadmap to whatever we need or want in life. It is up to us to take the time to search out the hidden things, remove the layers and see the revelations and instructions give to us. SUCCESS in every area of our life can be found written in HIS word.

I’m reminding of an old song: I have a wonderful treasure, A gift of God without measure. And so we’ll travel together, my bible and I. There is no life worth living without the instructions written to us and for us from the Lord.

  18. THE MATTER OF THE HEART

14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

Verse 14 is a daily confession and prayer for me, I understand that what comes out of my mouth is what creates the atmosphere around me. I also understand that what comes out of my mouth comes from my heart. I also understand that what is in my heart is the result of what I meditate on or think about, which is influenced by what I read, hear and see. It is a HEART condition.

Consider these statistics concerning heart disease in America

Heart disease is the number one cause of death for both men and women in the United States, claiming approximately 1 million lives annually.
Every 33 seconds someone in the United States dies from cardiovascular disease which is roughly the equivalent of a September 11th-like tragedy repeating itself every 24 hours, 365 days a year.
More die of heart disease than of AIDS and all cancers combined.
By 2020, heart disease will be the leading cause of death throughout the world.
This year more than 920,000 Americans will have a heart attack; nearly half of them will occur without prior symptoms or warning signs.
250,000 Americans die annually of Sudden Cardiac Death – 680 every day of the year.
One-half of the victims of Sudden Cardiac Death are under the age of 65.
An estimated 80 million Americans have one or more types of heart disease.

Most Heart conditions are the result of a poorly displined diet or the things that are consumed. The same principle applies to the Spirit of man.

1Thessalonians 3:13 To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

Our holiness or closeness to GOD reveals the “condition” of our heart.

Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Mark 7:21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,

Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

I urge us today to keep our mind, heart and words stayed on JESUS and forget not the issues of my life are the result of the “condition” of my heart.

Joshua 22:5 But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.

  19. 14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

    Reminds me of the song:
Be careful little mouth what you say
be careful little mouth what you say
for the father up above is looking down
with tender love, so be careful little
    mouth what you say

  20. The instructions of the lord are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The commandments of the lord are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the lord are clear, giving insight for living. Reverence for the lord is pure, lasting forever. The laws of the lord are true; each one is fair. They are a warning to your servant, a great reward for those who obey them. (Psalms 19:7-9, 11 NLT)

Trusting in His word, obeying His word , applying His word to ones life brings peace, strength, life, and Joy!!
Through trials in my life, His word is where I go to. I will not fear!

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7 KJV)
    Balance!!!

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. (Psalms 119:11 KJV)

  21. Psalms 19:7-9 & 11
    The law of the LORD
    The testimony of the LORD
    The statutes of the LORD
    The commandments of the LORD
    The fear of the LORD
    The judgments of the LORD

As the servants of the Lord, we are warned by these things, and if we keep them, we will be greatly rewarded.

Psalms 19:7-10 is a song that Rich used to like to sing alot when he lead song service in our church in Illinois. Vs.7-9 are the verses and Vs.10 was the chorus.

  22. “The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul”. David declares the beauty and magnitude of God’s (Jesus) work and word. The Lord (Jesus) continually displays his awesomeness and creativity, all one need do is open ones heart, mind, eyes and ears, to God’s powerful word. What a mighty God we serve, thank God for his word! God bless Jerusalem and you all, in Jesus name, Amen

  23. 7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

Great message tonight on how powerful God’s word is. It coverts the digruntled fugitive into a might man or woman of valor.

  24. 1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. -Romans 1:19
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: -Romans 1:20

Creation declares the greatness of our God.

The heavens testify that there is one God.

  25. 13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.

14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

God cares about what we say and think. He wants us clean inside and out.

  26. How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart? Cleanse me from these hidden faults. Keep your servant from deliberate sins! Don’t let them control me. Then I will be free of guilt and innocent of great sin. (Psalms 19:12, 13 NLT)

Thankful that this Word is alive and powerful. I delight myself in Word of God

For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. (Hebrews 4:12 NLT)

  27. 14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

everything we say and do should be pure and our own heart and right in God’s eyes.because he is our strength and redeemed our present help in time of trouble

  28. 14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

God continue to work on me and let me know if I’m going off of the path. Help me see the path and stay focused on you

  29. Keep us from sin of any type, and let the meditations of our heart and mouth be kept clean, Amen & Amen.

    “Be strong”………………..

  30. 14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

It is what we put in ourselves what we put out. The direct fruit is what we’re plugged into. We see how the psalmist explains how the Words of God guidance and direction for life. The only way to please God is to stay in the vine and allow His words to speak into our lives, changing out very thoughts, creating faith for the impossible, and our lives.

Who are you? And what do you think about yourself, your friends, family, church…God? From proverbs, We speak out of the abundance of our hearts, and the issues of life come from it. As the psalmist we must ask to keep a pure heart,( psalm 50) that the meditation and our words be pleasing to Him. The Word, God Himself, the Way, the Truth and the Life in us..Jesus is way to do it. Abide in Him, abide in the Word.
