Psalm 20

1 The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;

2 Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;

3 Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.

4 Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.

5 We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the Lord fulfil all thy petitions.

6 Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

8 They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.

9 Save, Lord: let the king hear us when we call.

  1. 5, WE WILL REJOICE IN THY SALVATION, AND IN THE NAME OF OUR GOD WE WILL SET UP OUR BANNERS: THE LORD FULFIL ALL THY PETITIONS.

  2. iLove to eat the Word

    7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

    Amen. It really takes faith sometimes to believe in God’s deliverance an not trust in man’s help. To truly believe in Gods deliverance we have to put faith in something invisible. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. The key is how much Word are we reading?

  3. 7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

    I love this, The Lord hears us in the day of trouble. The Lord remembers all our offering and burnt offerings. Nothing we have did for God is hid in his site.
    We need to put our complete trust in God. We do not need to trust in the wrong things. The Word calls it horses and chariots, but I tell you it may be SUV’s and houses and land. But we need to learn to trust in Jesus. Jesus will always have what we need, when we need it. Trust in The Lord with every drop of faith we can work up.
    Jesus is on our side, Trust him.

  4. 4 Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.

    LORD YOU ARE GOOD, and your MERCY ENDURES FOREVER!!!

  5. 6. Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

    God protects His anointed; let’s make sure we don’t lose our covering!

    1 Chronicles 16:21-22 KJV
    21. He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,
    22. Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

  6. (KJV)
    Vs.4, “Grant thee according to thin own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.”
    Vs.5, “We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our god we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions.”

    (NLT)
    Vs.4, “May he grant your heart’s desires and make all your plans succeed.”
    Vs.5, “May we shout for joy when we hear of your victory and raise a victory banner in the name of our God. May the Lord answer all your prayers.”

    PSALMS 37:4 says, “Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”
    PHILIPPIANS4:6 says, “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
    1 JOHN 5:14-15 says, “And this is the confidence we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”

    When we come to the Lord in prayer, we need to come with JOY, THANKSGIVING, and CONFIDENCE. When we come to the Lord in prayer, we need to REJOICE in Him, give THANKS to Him, and TRUST in Him. When we do these things, we can know that he hears us, will grant us our prayers, and he will give us the desires of our heart.

    Thank You JESUS for being so Good!

  7. 6 Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand. KJV
    6 That clinches it—help’s coming, an answer’s on the way everything’s going to work out. MSG

    I have to disagree with the Message version. Help is not “on the way”, help is already here. All we have to do is accept the help by getting out the way and allowing the Lord to take care of things in his way; He does not need our help to resolve issues.

  8. we must trust more in the Lord than in man or the things of this world. Jesus is lord of all and maker of everything. Our trust should be in the power of his name.

  9. 7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

    I put ALL my trust in the one that will never leave me nor forsake me, MY JESUS!!!! Blessed be His Name above ALL the earth.

  10. 5 We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the Lord fulfil all thy petitions.

    Thank you Jesus for salvation! It’s in His name that we live, move, and have our being.

  11. In a big storm, we need more help than friends can give us—or money can buy—or great personal resources can provide. We need help from the Lord.
    “Some trust in chariots and some in horses,” says Psalm 20:7, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.” He is bigger than any storm we will ever face.

    Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.
    Psalm 20:7

  12. May He grant you according to your heart’s desire, And fulfill all your purpose. We will rejoice in your salvation, And in the name of our God we will set up our banners! May the Lord fulfill all your petitions. (Psalms 20:4, 5 NKJV)

    *God you know my hearts desires and I know if I work hard enough for your kingdom you to expand your church, if i seek you i know you will bless me when the time is right.
    *we will worship you God with songs and signs. Hallelujah!! Thank you for you mercy and grace. Cause we all really need it! 🙂

    • Keep reading and blogging, i always come back at night before bed and read what others ( some) have said. And I always make sure and stop by to read yours. Te amo mijo 💙💙💙💙

  13. 6 Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

    7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

    8 They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.

    Hallelujah! Gods got my back, I am so thankful that he hears me. Hr is so holy and so righteous he could be doing anything he wanted but he choses to hear me in my time of need. Thank you Jesus.. I love you and I put my trust in you

  14. 7 Some trust in and boast of chariots and some of horses, but we will trust in and boast of the name of the Lord our God. (AMP)

    Trust in The Lord and proclaim to all how wonderful He is!

  15. 7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

    Who are you putting your trust in today? I put my trust in God cause he is the only one that can help me in my time of need

  16. Now Know I

    5 We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the Lord fulfil all thy petitions.

    6 Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

    Exodus 18:8-11 KJV
    “And Moses told his father in law all that the Lord had done unto Pharaoh and to the Egyptians for Israel’s sake, and all the travail that had come upon them by the way, and how the Lord delivered them. And Jethro rejoiced for all the goodness which the Lord had done to Israel, whom he had delivered out of the hand of the Egyptians. And Jethro said, Blessed be the Lord, who hath delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of Pharaoh, who hath delivered the people from under the hand of the Egyptians. Now I know that the Lord is greater than all gods: for in the thing wherein they dealt proudly he was above them.”

    Sometimes it can feels like trouble just has our name and address and is determined to make itself at home in our lives. But what if that trial was so that we and/or others around us could see and *know* God like we didn’t before? The trouble with trouble, though, is that our flesh doesn’t like it, and the devil can twist the situations on us in our minds so that we become so blinded by the situations that the trouble keeps us (and others) from seeing God like we’re supposed to. No matter how bad it gets, we must remember there’s a bigger picture and more going on than we can see at that moment. Our trust must be in God because troubles will come that we can only get through by trusting fully in Him. But if we will trust, what amazing things might God be working in our lives and even in the lives of those around us? Are we willing to endure the trouble so we (and others) might be able to have a “now know I” moment?

    Romans 8:18
    For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

    Romans 8:28
    And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

    Psalm 20:7
    Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

  17. 7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

    The Lord will always be remembered and not ever forgotten, no matter what happens.

  18. Let’s rejoice in the Lord’s salvation, and he still saves his annoited……….

    5 We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the Lord fulfil all thy petitions.

    6 Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

    “Lord Bless”…………………….

  19. NLT 1 In times of trouble, may the Lord answer your cry.

    God knows your troubles and hears your cries. All we got to do is continue to pray and ask what we our needs are. God will supply abundantly when you least expect it.

  20. 5 We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the Lord fulfil all thy petitions.
    Every time God hears my request he answers them more than I needed! God is not dead he is alive and I will lift him up with all my heart!<3 🙂

  21. “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses”. There was no disputing that David trusted in God (Jesus). The deceiver then just as today, was attempting to distract. One need only read to observe David’s victories because of God, as such why would one not trust in the Lord (Jesus). What a mighty God we serve, thank God for his word! God bless Jerusalem and you all, in Jesus name, Amen

  22. 1 The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;
    2 Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;
    3 Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.

    I’m thankful that he hears me when trouble comes. Man can’t always be there exactly when you need help but God is always with you &there when you need him most. Accept my worship Lord…every blessing I’ll turn to praise.

  23. iPray for you

    1 The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;

    2 Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;

    As I read this from the psalmist not speaking, I, but in second person I just couldn’t get out of my mind what a blessing it is the sincere prayer from a friend. In that moment of trail or trouble we want to know that The Lord is there with us and it is so comforting to receive an encouraging prayer from a friend. You’re not alone; I speak life and share my faith with you. The bible tells us how two is better than one for if one falls the other shall pick him up, and how a friend is closer than a brother. An encouraging word can make a huge difference. My faith plus yours. I am thankful for all those that have prayed with me and have prayed the blessings of The Lord on me and reminded me that our trust is in The Lord.

  24. 6 Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

  25. 7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

    Chariots are fast, and help protect the traveler from the harsh roads they could be walking on. They can also be used in war to defeat foes.

    Horses pull the chariots and were very good at maneuvering in combat.

    Yet all we have to do is say the name Jesus and it is greater, and more powerful than any manmade weapon of warfare!

  26. v6 ” Now I know that the LORD will help HIS anointed.”

    There’s VICTORY in knowing. Thank GOD that HE sees us through the lens of Mercy, Grace, and Favor just and perfect.

    Through the sacrifice of HIS BLOOD and HIS CHURCH that is called by HIS NAME.

    Ephesians 3:14-15 that the family of JESUS after whom we all are named can find a place of safety.

    The HOLY GHOST will purify our hearts and lives.

    Why reject such salvation ?

    GOD WILL cut short the days so that HIS chosen people might be save
    Again…. thank you JESUS FOR your mercy ,
    grace and favor.

    Mark 13:20. And except that the LORD had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.

    Be encouraged today and enter through the ONLY door …. of salvation the néw birth
    of water and the Spirit.

    John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Expecpt a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of GOD.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap
    iRejoice in HIS SALVATION

  27. 6 Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

    7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

    8 They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.
    “Some trust in chariots”
    In this world people tend to put their trust in diffrent things…. alot of the time today it in money, or their job. But we know as stated in verse 7 that nothing is more blessed to trust in than the name of the Lord. We should place our hand in his hand and let him provide for and protect us!!

  28. His name is greater and his blood is more powerful!

    6 Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

    Luke 22:

    69 Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.

    The right hand signifies where power is. The name of Jesus has all power in heaven and in earth. By the power of the name of Jesus we are saved.

  29. 1 The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;

    Thank you JESUS that you are my defender and savior today. I thank you that no matter what the trouble is you know, and you answer. I hold up my banner today to show all the victories that my defender has won for me!
    In Jesus name!

  30. 1 The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee; 2 Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;

    Too many people discount the need for assembling themselves together at a church sanctuary. But His word is clear and concise that this is where instructions as a corporate body and individually comes through our shepherd, and the hearing of the Word. God is continually speaking through His Word, but sometimes hearing it from a different voice, brings a whole new light and meaning to it. When the synergy of faith is strong from the corporate worship, and the response to the Word is strong, Gods Word is amplified and there we find greater strength and direction.

  31. We will rejoice in God’s strength 5. We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions. 6. Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand. Ps. 2 : 2 I Will Rejoice in the LORD always.
