Psalm 43

1 Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.

2 For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

3 O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.

4 Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.

5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

2 For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
3 O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.

Just as deceitful and unjust are 2 different negative fruit, so are His light and His truth, different fruit displaying where we are in him.

Jesus, today, help me to shine your light, and to share your truth.

  4. 3 O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.

4 Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.

We need the truth of the word to lead us, guided by the light of the Holy Ghost.
We must be born again of water and Spirit. The people of God will always need the guidance of the Holy Ghost to lead us into all truth. The word was written by Holy men of God as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. We must have the guidance of that same Spirit to be led to the ultimate experience in God.
When we finally reach the place we need to be, we will find ourselves at the altar of God inside his house praying unto the great I AM. Then will our joy be what it should be, as we rejoice in him.

  5. 5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

The only thing I need is to be in your presence my Lord and Savior. My soul rejoices and my heart is full of joy as long as I am with you.

  6. Give me your lantern and compass, give me a map, So I can find my way to the sacred mountain, to the place of your presence, To enter the place of worship, meet my exuberant God, Sing my thanks with a harp, magnificent God, my God. (Psalm 43:3, 4 MSG)
It’s in you my Lord that i will find my strength, when I meet with you! For the joy of The Lord IS my strength!

  7. 3. O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.

    There’s a call comes ringing
    O’er the restless wave,
“Send the light! Send the light!”
    There are souls to rescue,
    There are souls to save,
Send the light! Send the light!

    Refrain:
    Send the light, the blessed Gospel light;
Let it shine from shore to shore!
    Send the light, the blessed Gospel light;
    Let it shine forevermore!

  8. 1 Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.

He is the righteous judge. Just as a parent. He corrects those whom he loves. He is merciful and powerful. He is the King that I serve.

  9. 3 O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.

    Psalms 119:105
    NUN
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,
and a light unto my path.

    John 17:17
Sanctify them through thy truth:thy word is truth.

God has given us light and truth! We just need to open up His word to find direction. It will lead us and guide us. We need to saturate ourselves in His word! Not only for our own path so that we give off light for others paths as well. If we submit ourselves to His word then we will be lead to work in His kingdom and eventually to heaven, but we must be obedient to it!

  10. Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God! (Psalms 43:5 NLT)

Why am I down and sad. I been over thinking. God I see you God you are my happiness. I praise you when I’m sad and you will fill me with your joy. Allow me to see these situation in your eyes.
    Thank you Jesus for joy.

  11. LIGHT AND TRUTH, OBEDIENCE AND JOY

3 O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.
4 Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.

Revelation and honesty lead us to repentance.

Romans 2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

The key to repentance is to know and understand that we are born sinners and in desperate need of a savior. and that without repentance; turning away from sin to JESUS we have no hope of eternal salvation.

We are wise to pray daily that the LORD send us LIGHT to illuminate and reveal HIS path to us and TRUTH to instruct and guide our steps.

The steps to the LORD are found through REPENTANCE and PRAISE which bear the FRUIT of JOY.

Don’t walk around defeated, repent, then praise JESUS for his mercy and grace; this will generate rejoicing in the LORD.

  12. A to B

3 O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.

Life is full of processes. In fact, at any one time we can probably point to a long list of “works in progress” going on while we have to think harder to pull together items that are checked off as done. This Psalmist describes a sense of process in this Psalm as they mention their starting state and disatisfation with current circumstances and then their desired destination, with a cry to God in v3 “take me from A to B!”

We are wise to look to God not only to be our provider of the blessed B but also our way-maker for getting there. Yet there’s another nugget of wisdom tucked away in v3: the Psalmist doesn’t say “God, pick me up and carry me to B” but rather “let Your light and truth lead me.” This implies the Psalmist is already moving and working and that he’s crying out for God to direct the exertion he’s already putting out, to give him wisdom to make right choices and not stray once he’s going to right way.

It’s been said, it’s a lot easier for God to work with a moving object that a stationary one. You may not know exactly what to do next but sometimes we just need to step out on faith and *do something.* It could be God is waiting to act until our faith is activated with us making the first move. Either way, God is pleased with faith and can use a faith-filled doer much easier than a fear-filled won’t-doer-because-what-if-it’s-not-the-will-of-God.

    James 2:17-18
Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

  13. 3 O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.

    John 14:
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

He is the light and the truth.
I will fallow him to the holy hill

  14. 5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

The most important thing in our lives is the spiritual condition of our ever living soul. There is a place where the soul of man will never die. We must prepare now for how we will live eternity. No matter what situation we find ourselves in, we must maintain the life of our soul.

    3 John 1:2
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

  15. Sometimes in life things don’t always work out like they’re supposed to. Plans change and people leave. But I know everything happens because God has a plan. He has His hand upon our lives and I thank Him for His guiding hand. I would be nowhere without your love and leading hand!

    Thank you Jesus!

  16. 4 Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.

I will pray to you God. I will continue my joy even if hard times come, because I know you are always here for me.

  17. 3 O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.

4 Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.

By nature we are sinners and we are born into a world of darkness. Knowing of God is not the same thing as knowing God. The Lord promises the comforter will come, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth. Our Lord Jesus whom is the Light of the world. Receiving the Holy Spirit is the beginning process of getting to know Him. I saw this verse as the psalmist asking God for His Spirit to lead him. Then the next verse says “then will I go into the altar of God…” We know that The Lord draws people by His Spirit. Asking The Lord to bring it shine Light and direction will always lead us to an altar of repentance and to Him.

Lord I ask that you to lead me closer to you because in the process all areas of my life will have to pass through a road that will leave blessings. The greatest blessing is you Jesus

  18. 5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

David encouraged himself in The Lord. Sometimes we need to look at ourselves and say come one you can do it! You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you!

Don’t give up now! Weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning.

Hope in God and he will come through every time!

  19. Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God! (Psalms 43:5 NLT)

I’ll put all my hope into God and I’ll praise him all my days in the bad and good . 😁

  20. Vs.11, “Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted (anxiety, restlessness; uneasiness) within me? hope (trust, reliance) in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.”

On my way to outreach this morning, I talked to a woman at the gas station, and when Sis. Karen and I went on outreach to the apartment complexes a couple of people were not very kind to us. It made me sad, because it made me realize so many people put there hope in this world looking for answers, and when there are no answers, they are downcast and their souls are disquieted within them. They have no hope.
I am so Thankful that I have HOPE in Jesus Christ today. I will Praise him! He is the health of my countenance. He makes me Joyful and Happy! He is my Prince of Peace!

  21. NLT 2 For you are God, my only safe haven.

Lord your the only one to trust, your my only protector, your my guiding light!

  22. v3 O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let the bring me unto thy holy hill, and thy tabernacles.

JESUS IS THE TRUE MARVELOUS LIGHT.
I’m thankful for the benefits of having HIS TRUE LIGHT in our lives.
HIS LIGHT provides us with direction and hope and guides us to our eternal home that HE has prepared for those that love HIM.
So thankful that in HIS PRESENCE we find everything we need.

JESUS is ” the way, the truth, and the life”
    John 14:6

With HIS LIGHT HE opens our eyes to the truth.
Acts 26:18. To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan into GOD, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me .

1Peter 2:9. But ye are a chosen generation , a royal priesthood , an holy nation, a peculiar people: that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:

Praise GOD !!! for filling our void with true life, joy and hope.

His light & his truth will lead us to him. When we choose his ways we will begin to understand & appreciate that his ways are higther & better than ours. Then we will praise him for all his marvelous works!

  27. Truth Leads us to god

    Psalms 43:3 (NASBStr)
    O send out Your light and Your truth, let them lead me;
Let them bring me to Your holy hill
    And to Your dwelling places.

When we are oppressed we call on God. Oppression usually is accompanied with darkness and confusion. Gods light and truth will lead us to his dwelling place and restore the joy of his salvation.

  28. 5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

My hope and confidence is in thee Lord. Nothing shall separate me from the Love of God. I shall not fret or be afraid. He is the joy of my salvation.

    Hope in God!

Not man or in things of this life!

    Hope in God!

  29. What is leading you and where are you going?
    Let THEM lead me–

3 O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.

Right after I had Michael I had some problems. I was isolated and so caught up in the exactness of hospital perfection that I was not thinking clearly. When I spoke to the doctor about my concerns he said, “Go to church.” He told me that very often he had seen people who were overwhelmed by situations and they seemed to bring it from attending church. He didn’t lift any of the exactness. My isolations was still there, but I had the light and the truth that were clear to me. After “following the docto’s orders,” going to church, my joy returned. If you let JESUS lead You then you can have relief from circumstances and lead you to himself who is our truth.

    John 14:6 (KJV)
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

    Matthew 5:14 (KJV)
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

    John 8:12 (KJV)
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

    John 9:5 (KJV)
As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

  30. Send out your light and your truth; let them guide me. Let them lead me to your holy mountain, to the place where you live. (Psalms 43:3 NLT)

with all the turmoil brought through confusion and oppression in life Gods light will bring forth life and truth. Trust in God.

5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

Let your truth lead me Lord whereever I should go. Let your light shine on the path you would have me to take. I will praise you my God in every situation . You alone give and take away but you are still good. Be my hope, my strength , my by life. In Jesus name

  32. Send out your light and your truth; let them guide me. Let them lead me to your holy mountain, to the place where you live. (Psalms 43:3 NLT)

I pray that our hearts would be open to His light as we hear the preached Word of God.

asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. (Ephesians 1:17, 18 NLT)

  33. “Hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God”. One must not let one’s circumstances and/or surroundings be an excuse. One must hope in Jesus (God) and continually praise him, even more, as the world goes the opposite way. What a mighty God we serve, thank God for his word! God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all, in Jesus name, Amen
