Psalm 45

1 My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

2 Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.

3 Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.

4 And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.

5 Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king’s enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.

6 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

8 All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.

9 Kings’ daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir.

10 Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father’s house;

11 So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him.

12 And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall intreat thy favour.

13 The king’s daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold.

14 She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee.

15 With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king’s palace.

16 Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth.

17 I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.

  1. 6. Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

With earthly kings, those who had found favor and had been given power and authority under him could lose everything when a new king took the throne. Not so with our heavenly King! The King that reigns forever has given us authority and power over the enemy and no one can take that away. We Are Victorious!

    Luke 1:33 KJV
And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

  2. 2. THOU ARE FAIRER THAN THE CHILDRENS OF MEN: GRACE IS POURED INTO THY LIPS: THEREFORE GOD HATH BLESSED THEE FOR EVER.

  3. YES LORD!!!
1 My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

The heart, out of the abundance of the heart. …….. If the heart is inditing a good matter, then there will be nothing negative that the tongue could write or say. Right?
Thank you JESUS!!! I PRAISE YOU!!! HALELUJAH!!!

  4. iLove to eat the Word

Psalms 45:4 KJV And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.

What causes us to be prosperous throughout life? The answer is found in verse 4.

    *Truth
    *Meekness
    *Righteousness

    truth H571
    אמת
    ’emeth
    eh’-meth
Contracted from H539; stability; figuratively certainty, truth, trustworthiness: – assured (-ly), establishment, faithful, right, sure, true (-ly, -th), verity.

Meekness is a possible attribute of human nature and behavior. It has been defined several ways:

Godfearing, righteous, humble, teachable, and patient under suffering; willing to follow gospel teachings; an attribute of a true disciple.
The Christian Apostle Paul gave an example of meek behavior when writing to Timothy: “The servant of the Lord must be gentle, apt to teach, patient, in meekness instructing those that oppose.” (2 Tim. 2:24–25)
A meek behavior is presented as being opposite to “the natural man” (i.e. one who acts strictly according to desires of the body):
Sir Thomas Browne explained: “Meekness takes injuries like pills, not chewing, but swallowing them down.” This indicates that meekness allows a person to overlook or forgive perceived insults or offenses.
“A disposition to be patient and long-suffering.”
Power under control – roughly equivalent in common usage to humility.[5]
Meekness is one of the Seven virtues in Christian tradition.[6] Jesus of Nazareth preached, “Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth”.[7] Meek, a Greek derivative, also refers to a war horse that is bridled and ready for battle

    righteous adjective
morally good : following religious or moral laws
caused by something that you believe is not morally right
: acting in accord with divine or moral law : free from guilt or sin
a : morally right or justifiable
b : arising from an outraged sense of justice or morality
    slang : genuine, excellent

    Examples of RIGHTEOUS
a righteous man can be trusted to act honorably regardless of the circumstances>

    Origin of RIGHTEOUS

alteration of earlier rightuous, alteration of Middle English rightwise, rightwos, from Old English rihtwīs, from riht, noun, right + wīs wise
    First Known Use: 1530

Amen! If we do these 3 things we will always be prosperous!

  5. 7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows

We should always love righteousness, and hate wickedness it is the path to the things God loves. What I like is God will anoint us with the oil of gladness.
We need more JOY in our lives. Joy is the road to great things with God, because if we are lacking joy we will miss much of what God wants to give us.

  6. Word for the day for me to memorize…. This also cometh forth from the Lord of hosts, which is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working ( ISAIAH 28:29).

thank you Jesus for your Words to be a light to my soul. Thank Jesus.

  7. 15 With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king’s palace.

Our pastor tells us every time and there are plenty of scriptures to support it. I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart, I will enter the court with Praise!!!!!! I will Rejoice for He has made me Glad. Joy, just the mention of that word makes me smile. Leave all cares behind, don’t even worry about it, don’t you know He will change it ALL. KEEP THE JOY!!!! Everything else will be taken care of.

  8. Vs.6, “Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre (royal or imperial authority; sovereignty) of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.
Vs.7, “Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness (causing pleasure or joy, making happy) above thy fellows.”

Psalms 97: 10-11 says, “Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.”

If we love the Lord, then we should hate evil just as he does. We should love righteousness because he is righteous. If we are upright in our hearts then He will anoint us with the oil of gladness. We will be a joyful and happy people.

  9. 7 You love righteousness, uprightness, and right standing with God and hate wickedness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness above Your fellows. (AMP)

Let us love what He loves, and hate what He despises that He may anoint us.

  10. SATURATED IN JESUS

The throne or Kingdom of GOD is forever, the key to the Kingdom is being Born Again of Water and Spirit. Once we are Born into HIS Kingdom we are faced daily with choices that will affect our destiny and eternity. The key to remaining in the Kingdom of GOD is to LOVE RIGHT and HATE WRONG.

By separation or holiness unto the LORD we prepare ourselves for HIS anointing. The more time we are in the Holy presence of JESUS we are anointed, covered or saturated by HIS nature and the fruit of HIS anointing is the oil of gladness. Oil is a slick and slimy substance which he covers us with that gives us the gladness of VICTORY.

Tell that old fox of distraction, I don’t have time for you today, tomorrow and the third day I will be made whole.

As we continue to make right choices we continually cover ourselves in HIS anointing.

  11. Do you smell what I smell?

    Psalms 45:7-8
You love righteousness, uprightness, and right standing with God and hate wickedness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness above Your fellows.
Your garments are all fragrant with myrrh, aloes, and cassia; stringed instruments make You glad.

People can tell who is living for God. It may be subconscious, but deep down they can tell. Some don’t have to look to deep to see it.

Attitude, action, speech, and reaction reveal our inner man.

When Moses has Aaron and Korah come before the tabernacle with censers of incense there is immediate realization of who is on the Lord’s side. The ground opened and swallowed the rebellious.

When we pray, read, and spend time in the presence of God people can smell it. They know we have been in the presence of the King!

  12. 15 With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king’s palace.

Why come into his presence any other way than with praise gladness and rejoicing! He is the almighty king of kings and he deserves all that and more

  13. 4 And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.

5 Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king’s enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.

    Revelation 1:5-6
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

When we applied the blood of Jesus to our lives and were born into the kingdom He made us royalty. Choosing to live for God we will grow and learn new things including bearing the fruit of the spirit and as we draw nearer to God we will understand more of His truth. The terrible things that we learn are awe inspiring, causing us to be reverent of just how awesome God truly is in all His splendor that we have yet to see.
How great is it to know that God has His hand in our battles? He fights our battles, if we let Him. We may feel the effects and pressure of battle but we are freed from the destruction when God is In control.

    Exodus 14:14
The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

  14. 1 My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

All we can speak is what we see.

What would happen if we knew Godcwqnted to use us right now? Well he does. Right now. To use a pen means to write on some sort of surface. Now what would happen if you knew that you were to speak/write a word of encouragement on someone’s heart.? You are. To be use of Fod doesn’t always mean you have to be slain in the spirit for 5hours before you speak. Just a soft answer turns away wrath. It could be that your action speak louder than words. So write a note in someone’s heart and be an encourager. You never know how God can use you to touch someone’s life. Today.

  15. 17 I will make Your name to be remembered in all generations; therefore shall the people praise and give You thanks forever and ever.

What legacy will we leave? Will what we have done for the Kingdom of God be remembered past our days? The only thing that counts is the souls that we take to Heaven with us. Worldly wealth and material things are going to pass away, but only what we have done for God will last forever. We must be about our Father’s business – reaching the lost, snatching them out of hell, caring for them when they are born into the Kingdom of God, friending them, discipling them. We must get our eyes off ourselves and onto the fields that white ready for harvest.

  16. My heart is overflowing with a good theme; I recite my composition concerning the King; My tongue is the pen of a ready writer. (Psalms 45:1 NKJV)

*If I could turn my writing into a song. I would write about the joy you have given me and the love and mercy. I would be a song writer. Write hundreds of songs to worship you and to encourage others.

Now I just wish I knew how to sing…

  17. 17 I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.

    Who???

As I focused on this verse, I had t ask myself: “What am I doing to cause people to know who Jesus Christ is? ” Then I quickly thought about all the different names given to Jesus in the Bible; The rose of Sharron, The lion of the tribe of Judah, The Son of man, etc. I got to wondering if people were randomly asked “Who is the Rose of Sharron?”, would they even know. Then I thought what if they were asked if they knew who Jesus is, would they know, or would they think I was asking about some movie star, or their cousin, Jesus Lopez.

When we are truly honest with ourselves and stop and evaluate how we display who Jesus Christ really is, I would venture to say that most of us do a rather poor job of wholly displaying His holy nature.

  18. The creator of all things did what He did because He loves us! It would be foolish of us to not praise Him for the numerous blessings! We (I) should always enter His house with praise.

    Thank you Jesus!

  19. Ride What?………………..because of JESUS!

  20. You are the most handsome of all. Gracious words stream from your lips. God himself has blessed you forever. (Psalms 45:2 NLT)

God has bless me Today, tomorrow, and on the third day.

  21. Psalm 45 The Eternal Kingdom

45:6 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.
    A Sceptre of Righteous
Heb. 1:8,9 But unto the Son he saith , Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever : a sceptre of righteousness Is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

  22. A good Woman

    Proverbs 19:14
House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the LORD.

    pru·dent [prood-nt] Show IPA
    adjective
    1.
wise or judicious in practical affairs; sagacious; discreet or circumspect; sober.
    2.
careful in providing for the future; provident: a prudent decision.

It has been said behind every great man there’s a great woman.

Prudence is a strong trait of my beautiful wife. This is a God given gift that I have not observed in alot of people. I thank God for a prudent wife that always seems to see through all the hype and garbage that is being thrown at us and helps to lead this family toward the Lord.

  23. BEing The Church

    Psalm 45:10-17 NLT

10 Listen to me, O royal daughter; take to heart what I say. Forget your people and your family far away.

11 For your royal husband delights in your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord.

12 The princess of Tyre will shower you with gifts. The wealthy will beg your favor.

13 The bride, a princess, looks glorious in her golden gown.

14 In her beautiful robes, she is led to the king, accompanied by her bridesmaids.

15 What a joyful and enthusiastic procession as they enter the king’s palace!

16 Your sons will become kings like their father. You will make them rulers over many lands.

17 I will bring honor to your name in every generation. Therefore, the nations will praise you forever and ever.

I see here a type of the church. She is described in some key ways:

    1) She is separated in her mind and heart unto God
    2) She is beautiful in her holiness and it is a sacrifice to honor God as her Head
    3) She is blessed through her relationship with God and her particular qualities that come from that relationship
    4) She is clothed in a particular beauty through submission to God
    5) She surrounds herself in a unified group of others who serve the King and aid in her presentation to Him
    6) She draws near to the King with joy and enthusiasm into His realm (His kingdom, seeking to please Him and not demand relationship on her terms)
    7) In all this, she will be fruitful in the increase of souls (have children) who will be after the nature of their Father, who will walk in dominion through submission within the church
    8) She will be exalted, a “city set on a hill” to bear the honor and name of Jesus and receive that acknowledgement from others, even the world, fulfilling several prophesies:

    Matthew 5:14-16
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

    Proverbs 31:28-31
Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

When we are born again, we become part of the church, but we must not stop there. There is a lifestyle change that comes with our identity change. Today’s Psalm gives some key qualities of what it is to BE Church as we come together not simply as individual believers but as the unitied Bride of Christ. We must be united in vision, mission, and purpose so that we may BE the church Jesus is coming for. As v14 hints, it is when we come together as servants in unity that together we will bear forth the Bride to be pleasing to the Bridegroom. And as we fulfill this, blessing, harvest, and honor will be reaped…

    Revelation 21:2-3
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

  24. I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever. (Psalms 45:17 KJV)

What name are we making for God?

In this David says that he will make the name of The Lord to be remembered. It makes me wonder what we are doing to make God remembered among all people. Am I talking about Him enough? Am I glorifying Him enough? Do I bring enough praise to His name to make others remember who He is?

Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O Lord; thou art great, and thy name is great in might. (Jeremiah 10:6 KJV)

  25. You love righteousness, uprightness, and right standing with God and hate wickedness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness above Your fellows. [Heb. 1:8, 9.] (Psalm 45:7 AMP)

It’s one thing to love the things that God loves but it is another to also hate what he hates. I must decrease and he must increase.

He must increase, but I must decrease. [He must grow more prominent; I must grow less so.] [Isa. 9:7.] (John 3:30 AMP)

  26. 7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Love the word and all Gods glory and hate the sins of the world.

  27. 7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

A recipe for success: Loving what is right & hating what God hates. Then we put on the garments of praise. What a time of refreshing to obtain the oil of gladness. When we are weary from the spiritual battle there is this: the joy of the Lord is my strength!

  28. v1 My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of things which I have made a touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

Through the spirit of payer we can hear what the SPIRIT is saying .
If we seek GOD’S mind we will know HIS thoughts and HIS desires.

LORD let your Grace and your Rightousness
    inspire our words.
Not our will but Your WILL BE DONE.

    Prayer is awesome!!!

    6 Your throne, O God, is forever and ever;
A scepter of uprightness is the scepter of Your kingdom.
    (Psalms 45:6 NASBStr)

8 But of the Son he says,
“Your throne, O God, is forever and ever,
the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom.
    9 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness;
therefore God, your God, has anointed you
with the oil of gladness beyond your companions
    (Hebrews 1:8-9 ESV)

20 that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22 And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all
    (Ephesians 1:20-23 ESV)

22 who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers having been subjected to him
    (1 Peter 3:22 ESV)

Every answer we need is in Jesus.

  30. A couple of verses stood out to me in this chapter. Verse 1 CEV says “My thoughts are filled with beautiful words for the king, and I will use my voice as a writer would use pen and ink.” It made me think…..”OK, what will I use???? My voice, my hands, my feet, my heart…….

In verse 7 CEV it says “You love justice and hate evil. And so, your God chose you and made you happier than any of your friends.” This verse reminded me “God chose me”; so, do not ever let anyone or anything tell you otherwise……

1 Peter 2:9 AMP “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own [a]purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”

  31. Psalm 45:1, 17 Beautiful words stir my heart.I will recite a lovely poem about the king, for my tongue is like the pen of a skillful poet.

I will bring honor to your name in every generation. Therefore, the nations will praise you forever and ever.

Every word that comes out of your mouth, some one is listening, every act you take some one is watching. It will be a great thing that people may remember you for how you gave honor to the Lord, for your continual praise and worship. It will be even grater that the Lord Himself remembers you for it.
What is your heart ready to talk about? What inspires the best in you?

  32. My heart is inditing a good matter: 1. My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer, 2. Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into my lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever. Luke 4 : 22 These to verses mean a lot to me, because when I got the Holy Ghost, God gave me these two verses, back then I didn’t know what they meant. Till I got further in Christ. After I was Baptized In Jesus name. And then I asked Thank you Jesus !!!!! He showed me and now I know. You are an Awesome God I Love you Father !!!!
