Psalm 50

1 The mighty God, even the Lord, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.

2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.

3 Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.

4 He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.

5 Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.

6 And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah.

7 Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am God, even thy God.

8 I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before me.

9 I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds.

10 For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.

11 I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.

12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.

13 Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?

14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:

15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

16 But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?

17 Seeing thou hatest instruction, and casteth my words behind thee.

18 When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers.

19 Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.

20 Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother’s son.

21 These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.

22 Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.

23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.

  1. I will not rebuke you for your sacrifices Or your burnt offerings, Which are continually before Me. (Psalms 50:8 NKJV)

*God you see what we go through. I want to sacrifice my life for you. Give you my time and treasures. Cause I know in the end you will not forsake me nor my brothers and sisters that fight for your will too. I want to be a living sacrifes. Thank you for redemption. 🙂

  2. 14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:

15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

  3. 21 These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.

If we don’t stand true and speak for His righteousness, then we too will be seen as accepting and consenting to the wickedness around us…

  4. KEEP YOUR MIND ON JESUS AND YOUR MOUTH FILLED WITH PRAISE

22 Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.
23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.

Selfishness took on a new form of UGLY for me today. Consider this, anyone that would forget GOD, he will tear you in pieces and none can deliver!

    How do we forget GOD?

Deuteronomy 8:11 Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day:

When we refuse to keep HIS commandments. Selfishness brings judgement upon ourselves and there is nowhere to turn.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  5. My my peace of my mouth deliver me to God.
Let me follow you Jesus…my prayers today is to be kind to others and follow Jesus no matter what comes my way.
    Thank you Jesus.

  6. 16 But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?

17 Seeing thou hatest instruction, and casteth my words behind thee.

The word of God is more than just mere words, but instructions that we should seek to understand and obey.
Many are happy to be ignorant of some things, but God’s people should be seeking the truth! We need to take the covenant of God more serious, and to allow this to be our instrument to lead us to greater revelations. My desire is to know more about Jesus and take his word serious!
If we cannot take instructions from God, we will always be in trouble. We need to take his word in our hearts not cast it aside, like it is nothing.
My prayer today is for God to help us understand his word better and obey his calling!!

  7. The way it works

23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.

The Bible tells us that the flesh cannot understand or comprehend the things of God. The world sees his ways as foolish when they are actually the epitome of wise.

God isn’t trying to force us to do anything. He isn’t pressuring because he gets some kind or super powers from our praises. He is trying to show us that this is the way it works.

Our praises and righteous living position ourselves in God for the miraculous. When we praise the enemy flees. When we live with integrity the lost are reached. When we worship God we grow stronger in him, and fulfill what we were created to do.

This is the way it works.

So if you are feeling down Praise Him! If you feel defeated worship him! If you feel like everything is falling apart give him glory!

When we praise things turn around and God answers!

  8. iLove to eat the Word

    A True Sacrifice

God goes off on his people. Basically he says that he doesn’t need anything that we could ever give him. “For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.” (Psalms 50:10 KJV)

Basically, God is not impressed with our gift, he’s impressed with our heart.

There isn’t any material blessing that will ever impress God, but the sacrifice of thanksgiving and praise always impress Him.

Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. (Psalms 50:14, 15 KJV)

  9. 9. I have no need of a bull from your stall or of goats from your pens,
    14. “Sacrifice thank offerings to God, fulfill your vows to the Most High,
    15. and call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.” NIV

He doesn’t need our belongings, He wants a sacrifice of praise.

  10. Vs.14, “Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most high.”

Hebrews 13:15 says, “By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.”

The only sacrifice that God needs from us is our PRAISE!

  11. Righteous conversations

23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.

Praise is the favorite sacrifice of our God.
The sacrifice comes when we don’t feel like praising, when everything is not going our way. God is looking for us in those times to remember who he is and praise him anyway. I love the song ” I will praise you in this storm” that is what he’s looking for. He is still God.

If we always keep a praise on our lips no matter what we are going through then our conversations would continue to be holy. We would speak on the goodness of God and his salvation being greater than what we are going through. He would be glorified in everything that we do. We would show his salvation through the righteous conversation offered as sacrifice in our storm.

  12. 5 Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.

The covenant is not free, there must be a sacrifice, holy, acceptable, unto God. It has to cost you something.
2 Sam. 24:24 And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

  13. 21 While you did all this, I remained silent, and you thought I didn’t care. But now I will rebuke you, listing all my charges against you.
22 Repent, all of you who forget me, or I will tear you apart, and no one will help you.
23 But giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me. If you keep to my path, I will reveal to you the salvation of God.” (NLT)

  14. 12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.

13 Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?

14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:

God is not impressed with our stuff. He owns the world. He is impressed or unimpressed with our attitude in obedience. Thanksgiving is better than begrudgingly doing something. Humility is better than pride.

  15. Next, God calls up the wicked: “What are you up to, quoting my laws, talking like we are good friends? You never answer the door when I call; you treat my words like garbage. If you find a thief, you make him your buddy; adulterers are your friends of choice. Your mouth drools filth; lying is a serious art form with you. You stab your own brother in the back, rip off your little sister. I kept a quiet patience while you did these things; you thought I went along with your game. I’m calling you on the carpet, now, laying your wickedness out in plain sight.

“Time’s up for playing fast and loose with me. I’m ready to pass sentence, and there’s no help in sight! It’s the praising life that honors me. As soon as you set your foot on the Way, I’ll show you my salvation.” (Psalm 50:16-23 MSG)

There is no way that you can think that you can have a “true relationship” with God, and embrace what the world has to offer you!! In the end of your patty cake game with GOD, you are the loser. Either your in or your out , no shades of gray!! There is no time to play games with GOD!!!!
God knows what you’re all about, he knows the intents of your heart. So Stop playing with fire because you will get burned!

  16. 9 I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds.
10 For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.
11 I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.

If we would realize this passage, it would easier for us to ask God in prayer. But in our world today, we have this mentality of if something is free then there’s a catch. With God there is no stipulation on the things. So since he is the creator of all things. He has the power to give you what you desire. Be blessed and know that you can ask for anything.

  17. Verse 23 AMP “He who brings an offering of praise and thanksgiving honors and glorifies Me; and he who orders his way aright [who prepares the way that I may show him], to him I will demonstrate the salvation of God.”

Same verse CEV “The sacrifice that honors me is a thankful heart. Obey me, and I, your God, will show my power to save.”

  18. 14. Offer to God thanksgiving ,
and pay your vows to the Most High .

Call upon Me in the day of trouble
    15. I will deliver you, and you
    shall glorify Me”
Beautiful promises of God, that we have to
treasured it, in our hearts and minds,
to be steady and firm and the day of trouble!!!

  19. 4 He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.

When god comes he will judge wheather we go to heavon or hell,so don’t try to say where some one will go when they move on

  20. 7 Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am God, even thy God.

    What a mighty God!
God is showing in these verses that everything in the whole earth is HIS!! He is in control of everything and has no needs. I love verse 12 “If I was hungry I would not tell thee: for the world is mine”… He is almighty and has the power to posses anything he wants. To us we believe God that whatever need we have he is our supplier. We are thankful for a powerful God!!

  21. v15 And call upon me on the day of
trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

We have assurance that the LORD has never made a pride that HE cannot keep.

” GOD is not a man, that he should lie”
    Numbers 23: 19

Heavenly FATHER … I appreciate you!!
    Thank you for everything .

    iAm Grateful
    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap
    iRejoice

  22. Heart After God

14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:

15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

There is a distinction between the posture of a heart after God and a heart distant from Him. The heart after God acknowledges Him while the distant heart focuses elsewhere. V15 gives some interesting insight: calling upon God in our trouble allows for Him to deliver us that we would glorify Him. It seems to imply that our natural state when faced with trouble is to turn elsewhere besides God but He gets glory when we turn first to Him. No matter what we face, it should already be made up in our minds, “I’m taking it to God.” Giving it to Him moves self and this world out of the way so Jesus can be magnified.

    1 Peter 5:6-7
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

  23. Who is like God?

These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes. (Psalms 50:21 KJV)

We always compare the things around us to God. We use the things we know to relate to The Lord, but he is like nothing we know. His love never fails. His mercy endures forever. He knows all. We have limitations. We put stipulations or conditions on things we do. God is God. There is no one like him!

  24. 23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.

Lord, let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in your sight. Don’t let my mouth betray you, but let it produce life and not death. Let it bring joy and not sadness. Let it bring unity and not division. Let it be truth and not deceit. Let everything that I say be to glorify you and your Kingdom.

  25. “Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God”. The true plan of salvation is not difficult for one that is willing to obey the word of God (Jesus) and man of God. What a mighty God we serve, thank God for his word! God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all, in Jesus name, Amen

  26. 21 These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.

22 Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.

23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.

Wow how could one even want to claim help from The Lord if we don’t even remember him or his statutes. This tells us that he sees all things and does not forget. The hope is found in the last verse offering praise and ordering your words. One would be wise to pray to have the mind of Christ and His Word alive in one’s heart and mind that we may not sin against The Lord and that he may hear in time of trouble

  27. Now Consider this 20. Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slenderest thine own mother’s son. 21. These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes. 22. Now consider this, ye that forget God,lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver. 23. Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God. Job 8 :13 Ps. 27 : 6 I AM VICTORIOUS THROUGH JESUS CHRIST !!!! THANK YOU JESUS !!!!
