Psalm 65

1 Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed.

2 O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.

3 Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.

4 Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

5 By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea:

6 Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded with power:

7 Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.

8 They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.

9 Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.

10 Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof.

11 Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.

12 They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side.

13 The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.

  2. 6. Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded with power:
7.Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.

“So much wonder carved in Your coral seas
So much wonder shaded by ancient trees
I consider all Your hands have made
Every newborns eyes, every new sunrise

No power can tame Your presence
No light can match Your radiance

Let all creation sing in wonder
Every sea, every creature, every star
You opened up my eyes to wonder
What a vision, what a wonder You are

Such a wonder, ordering time and tide
Such a wonder, bridging the great divide
I consider all that You had, all You gave
And all that You endured from this rebel world”

  3. iLove to eat the Word

3 Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.

4 Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

Once our sins are purged and removed, we can then approach God and enter into his presence.

    KJV John 9:31
Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

  4. 3 When we were overwhelmed by sins,
    you forgave our transgressions.

God has forgave me of all my sins

  5. The River

9 Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.

    Ezekiel 47:9
And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.

There is nothing like getting into the flow of the River of God. Today’s Psalm echoes Ezekiel 47’s account of the life-giving River flowing from the Lord. Ezekiel noted levels of the River, from standing on the bank to ankle-deep, to knee-deep, to waist-deep, to finally overflowing waters to swim in. The River is not limited but our choices dictate how far in we go. More of Jesus, more life.

V4 Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

If the Lord has chosen us that we might enjoy His presence and get in the River, why wouldn’t we want as much as we can get?

    John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

  6. HOUSE OF PRAISE

1 Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed.

    Sion, (lofty), Mount.
    1. One of the various names of Mount Hermon. (4:48) only.
    2. The Greek form of the Hebrew name Zion, the famous mount of the temple.

PRAISE awaits you in the Temple!

As I read this verse, the LORD led me to put it in ACTION! I went straight to the sanctuary and offered up PRIASE unto the LORD. I encourage everyone today when you enter the Temple, Church or Sanctuary let the King of GLORY know that Praise is WAITING for you. I am not waiting on the LORD, I praise HIM in advance, I praise HIM and HE shows UP!

    The prophetic response to PRAISE:

  8. If you Praise Him He will Come.

1 Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed.

There is a promise that He will abide the praises of His people. All you have to do is praise Him in advance and He will show up. Thank you Jesus for always being with us. Blessed be the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!!!!!

  9. v1Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed.
v2 O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.

YOU O LORD well deserve our praise.
You alone create and control all things.

  10. The value of access

    Psalms 65:4
Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man whom You choose and cause to come near, that he may dwell in Your courts! We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Your holy temple.

    Attitude.

Without proper attitude our actions will be in vain. We can lift our hands in worship, but if our heart isn’t doing it for the right reasons we can be found wanting.

Giving is good. Yet there is only one kind of giver that God loves.

    2 Corinthians 9:7
Let each one [give] as he has made up his own mind and purposed in his heart, not reluctantly or sorrowfully or under compulsion, for God loves (He takes pleasure in, prizes above other things, and is unwilling to abandon or to do without) a cheerful (joyous, “prompt to do it”) giver [whose heart is in his giving].

    This is because of attitude.

God is a discerned of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

The word intents mean mind, understanding, will, manner of feeling, and thinking.

It’s possible for our hearts to be in the wrong place but our actions to be right.

    David said in Psalms 100:4
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving,
and into his courts with praise:
be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

We must come before him in the right attitude with the right motive. We do this by understanding the value of access. It is a PRIVILEGE, and HONOR to be in the presence of the King.

When we realize it’s not just Church but access into the throne room we can approach him the right way and he could say to us.

    Ask me what you will.

    Psalms 122:1
I was glad when they said unto me,
Let us go into the house of the Lord.

  11. “Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away”. The Lord (Jesus) is quick to forgive, as such one should be quick to give praise. What a mighty God we serve, thank God for his word! God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all, in Jesus name, Amen

  12. When our sins get us down, you forgive us. You bless your chosen ones, and you invite them to live near you in your temple. We will enjoy your house, the sacred temple. (Psalms 65:3, 4
I’m thankful that The Lord has had mercy on me, that he has allowed me access to Him and His house! I am beyond blessed because of my redeemer!!
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:15, 16 KJV)

  13. AMP – 4 Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man whom You choose and cause to come near, that he may dwell in Your courts! We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Your holy temple.

I have been chosen today by the King! He chose me to come near Him, to dwell in His courts and to satisfy the needs of my life with His goodness. Often I am reminded of the kindness of the Lord that out of so many people, He did choose me to fill me with the Holy Ghost as an 8 year old child. Many in my family have come and gone through this way called Holiness, but for whatever reason, God has seen fit to keep me focused on Him, and His statues, and keep my heart true to the ancient paths. I am forever and eternally grateful that I have been chosen to serve in His holy temple!

  14. 4 Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

Man is blessed if God made him his choice, many people talk about them choosing God, but the Psalmist said God choose us.
I am glad God chose me and not only chose me but allowed me to approach God.
Giving me the opportunity to dwell in the house of God, where we can sit together in heavenly places and learn more about God. I can be in a place to praise God and worship him in his holy Temple.
We are given a chance to be satisfied with the goodness of God.
PRAISE GOD FOR HIS EXCELLENT GREATNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  15. 10 Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof.

    Waters to swim in.

I hear the sound of an abundance of rain. The rain/water is athe represtation of the Holy Ghost. In Acts 2:17,”And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:” The rain is coming down. Today we celebrate the true beginnings of The Pentecostals of FortWorth. Today is Pentecost Sunday. The day we celebrate the pouring out of God’s Spirit on ALL Flesh. Thank God for his Spirit.

  16. 3 Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.

  17. 3 Though we are overwhelmed by our sins, you forgive them all. (NLT)

3 Iniquities and much varied guilt prevail against me; [yet] as for our transgressions, You forgive and purge them away [make atonement for them and cover them out of Your sight]! (AMP)

    Thank You Jesus!!

  18. Dive in

9 Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.

5 Afterward he measured a thousand; [and it was] a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.
6 And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen [this]? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river.
7 Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river [were] very many trees on the one side and on the other.
8 Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: [which being] brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.
9 And it shall come to pass, [that] every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.

The water is right. It is Pentecost Sunday!
    Dive in!

  19. Verse 2 CEV “Everyone will come to you because you answer prayer.” In the NASB the caption for this chapter says “God’s Abundant Favor to Earth and Man”. God answers prayer, maybe not like we expect sometimes; but, he answers in His time and manner. The answer could be a showering praise away.

  20. 3 Though we are overwhelmed by our sins, you forgive them all.
Thank you God for forgiving my sins! 🙂

  21. 13 The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.

    Good verse.

  22. 3 Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.
4 Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

Many are called but few are chosen. We are the called & chosen of God & through his plan of redemption, we are forgiven and filled with his spirit. We can enter his gates with thanksgiving & enter his courts with praise! We are the King’s kids. We can eat from the table of his blessings. He did it all for who? YOU.

  23. Thou visitest the earth 9. Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it. 10. Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof. Praise Ye The LORD!!!!! Praise Him in everything good or bad!!!! Everyone Praise the LORD I AM VICTORIOUS through JESUS CHRIST Who chose me and Loves me.

  24. 4 Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

It is The Lord that chooses us and because we have the opportunity to enjoy the blessings that he gives, however, will the people choose him becomes the question. Love is a choice. Out of love, our savior chose the cross. What choice, or choices in life are we willing to make for Him? We shall reap the blessings if out of love we choose to obey him.

  25. The Overflow

    9 You visit the earth and cause it to overflow;
    You greatly enrich it;
    The stream of God is full of water;
You prepare their grain, for thus You prepare the earth.
    (Psalms 65:9 NASBStr)

The LORD was with Joseph, so he succeeded in everything he did as he served in the home of his Egyptian master. Gen 39:2

When God is involved, success comes. God enriches the earth and his people. Obedience to the word of God is God’s excuse to bless us. Even Job got a double portion after his trials. His obedience to God allowed him to continue in his favor. Joseph’s righteousness allowed him to prosper.

When we are perfectly aligned with the will of God through obedience, we are able to walk in the overflow-more anointing, more power, more blessings, more favor.

  26. 4 Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

Thank you Lord for choosing me to praise you and worship you in your temple. You are worthy to be praised.
