Psalm 66

1 Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:

2 Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.

3 Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.

4 All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.

5 Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.

6 He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.

7 He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.

8 O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:

9 Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.

10 For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.

11 Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins.

12 Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.

13 I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,

14 Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.

15 I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.

16 Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.

17 I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.

18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:

19 But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.

20 Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.

  1. Psalm 66:12-15

12/ Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through the fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.

13/ I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows.
14/ Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth jath spoken, when I was in trouble.
15/ I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlins, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.

    • Dear Lord, I know that I have spoken to You dear Jesus…Its time for me to pay my vows to you….not only in money but also in love for others, my talent, time serving you,Jesus, and treasure. I DONT WANT TO ONLY GIVE IN TOME OF TROUBLE BUT ALWAYS.
      THANK YOU JESUS.

  2. 16 Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.

It is important that we share what God has done for us. As for me, He picked me up from the muddy mess, and lifted me up setting my feet on solid ground. He taught me a new song and dance. He gave me joy beyond compare. He healed me, He save me, there is no God like my God. He is a Miracle working God. He gave me Victory in the mess of the battle. He calm my storm and now I don’t fear any more, for He is ALWAYS by my side. You are an AWESOME GOD. I AM VICTORIOUS!!!!

  3. 5-6 MSG
Take a good look at God’s wonders— they’ll take your breath away. He converted sea to dry land; travelers crossed the river on foot. Now isn’t that cause for a song?

When God converts our sea of troubles to dry land and we walk across, we have cause to sing and praise Him – the least we can do is thank Him in song and praise for what He has brought us through!

  4. 1 Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:

I start to read and I say this and I’m like wow. I’ll praise my God and I don’t care who is looking.

  5. Come and hear, all you who fear God, And I will declare what He has done for my soul. (Psalms 66:16 NKJV)

*Share your testimony with your brothers and sisters. They might look at you in a different way but they know that the one true living God changed your life. Complety. And we will never be the same. You never know your testimony might help somebody in need

    Going through the Fire
Psalms 66:10-12 KJV For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried. (11) Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins. (12) Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.

The testimony of the three Hebrew children illustrate and demonstrate a literal example of going through the fire “like silver is tried.”

    Deliverance
When the King saw what appeared to be not three, but four men in the furnace, unbound and walking about, the fourth having a divine appearance, he called to them to come out. As the three convicted men came out unharmed, King Nebuchadnezzar acknowledged the power of their God, even going as far as to make a decree, whereby people of any nation who say anything against the God of the Jews are to be killed and their housed destroyed. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were then given promotions to their positions over the province of Babylon.

For the majority of us, the fire is not literal, but it is the fiery darts and trials of this life.

Ephesians 6:16 KJV Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

The enemy will always shoot the fiery darts, but it’s our faith that overcomes the fire and our hearts are purified “as silver is tried.”

  7. 7 He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.

What greater power is there than his power, THE POWER OF GOD. This is how he rules with his power and all nations know him that he is God. How long will people get by with their sins and deception? I do not know, but remember Noah and how evil and corrupt the world was at that time. The very people that God created to worship him, were filled with lust, greed, and violence. They were their on down fall by being rebellious and living their own life the way they wanted to live and leaving God out of their lives.
People even thought they could build a tower to heaven and would have, becuase of their unity on the matter. THE TOWER OF BABEL!
He said let not them exalt themselves, most people began to feel pride and think they can exalt themselves higher than what they are. We must remember we are made from clay and God created us, we would not be here if God had not created us. We were created to worship him and we should with all our might. When we neglect to worship him we are now out of the will of God and live outside his protection!

  8. 1 Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:

I will sing of the mercies of the LORD forever,
I will sing, I will sing.
I will sing of the mercies of the LORD forever,
I will sing the mercies of the LORD.
With my mouth will I make known
    your faithfulness your faithfulness;
With my mouth will I make known
    your faithfulness to all generations.
I will sing of the mercies of the LORD forever,
I will sing of the mercies of the LORD.

  9. REMEMBER YOUR VOW

13 I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,
14 Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.

Troublesome times in our lives produce and generate opportunity for us to make sacrificial commitments and promises while we are under duress and in distress. GOD considers a VOW to him to be eternal, because HIS VOW to us of salvation is eternal. Most often the VOW or commitments we make are in times of a broken spirit, whether by the Preached WORD of GOD or some troublesome situation or circumstance we may face in life.

VOW – : a solemn promise or assertion; specifically : one by which a person is bound to an act, service, or condition

    From 2 Hebrew Words
5087. nadar, naw-dar´; a primitive root; to promise (pos., to do or give something to God):—(make a) vow.

    5088. neder, neh´-der, nay´-der; from 5087; a promise (to God); also (concretely) a thing promised:—vow((-ed)).

GOD blesses and favors our VOWS as we live them out and fulfill them in HIS presence; however the temptation to neglect the VOW arises as we rise from the pits of our problems, while we had nothing, it wasn’t too challenging to pray, when our income was at poverty level it wasn’t too hard to tithe and give our small offering, following the BLESSING and FAVOR of GOD, the numeration is larger and for some the VOW is more challenging. In the season of Burden it is easy to make a VOW to Impacting our Future Together to build a larger building for the LORD to Bless, Heal and Deliver the lost souls of the region of Fort Worth.

Remember the VOW you made unto the LORD, to Pray, Fast, Give, Evangelize, Serve, Lead or Minister.

    The WHO is YOU!

YOU keep your WORD; GOD will always keep HIS WORD!

  10. 12 Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.

    “Which my lips have uttered”

What a powerful and educating passage of scripture. I can speak from personal experience that when going through the fire it is easy for your lips to utter many things but will you keep that promise when you get out of the “hot seat?” It takes a wise person to remember and put into action those words that where uttered in the time of trouble.
I can also say that if you are maintaining your integrity and upholding His Word through the trial it is much easier to go through and fulfill those promised than it is if you give up and allow carnality or frustrations to distract you.

We can also learn that after its all over it is important to tell that testimony. “Come and hear, all that fear God, and I will declare what He hath done for my soul.” When God does it, tell everybody. Tell people that don’t want to hear, just tell! Then remind God of what He has done and praise Him for it.

“18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:”
I have said it many times and I have head it many times. If you feel like God is not hearing your prayer please look in the mirror and examine your life. There iniquity in your heart alt against someone will cause the Lord to not hear you.

There are so many good point is this chapter.

  11. 66:1 Makeajoyfyl shout to God.
    All the earth!
    2. Sing out the honor of His name;
    Make His praise glorious.
    3. Say to God,
    How awesome are your works!

Make his praise glorious, special, make Him feel so special for YOU! Because He is King, and Lord but the glorious part is when He is special for YOU and everything what do you do!
And said to people how awesome works He has done for You!
    My God is awesome!!!

  12. 5 Come and see the works of God…

John 6:28-29 Then they said unto Him, What shall we do that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on Him whom He hath sent.”

So, believing in Jesus is the work of God; in one word: Faith. How would you define faith; trust, confidence, assurance, and belief? Faith is increased by drawing closer to God through prayer and the study of His Word, the Bible. Paul told the Philippians to “be anxious for nothing [don’t worry], but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7). They believed God’s Word, and they obeyed His commandments. As they listened and followed Paul’s instruction on giving their cares to God in believing prayer, their faith (belief and trust) was increased.

Another way faith is increased is by reading or hearing examples of faith in the Bible publicly expounded. This is mentioned in Romans 10:17. “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

  13. AMP – 20 Blessed be God, Who has not rejected my prayer nor removed His mercy and loving-kindness from being [as it always is] with me.

I’m thankful today that the Lord hears and answers our prayer. When we deserve judgement, He brings us to a place of repentance, and showers us with His mercy and lovingkindness.

    2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

  14. 1 Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:
2 Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.
3 Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.
4 All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.

Praise The Lord! How great is our God!

  15. 1 Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:

2 Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.

I will make your praise glorious!

  16. Psalms 66:10
For You, O God, have proved us; You have tried us as silver is tried, refined, and purified.

The process of purifying silver involves crushing, and high temperatures. The silver is usually combined with another ore like lead. When high temperatures are applied to the metal they separate. The lead can be scraped away while the silver can be streamed into a small reservoir.

We are like this silver. We tend to get all wrapped up in worldliness and carnality. We lose focus and soon God has to turn up the temperature and allow us to be beaten.

Before the metal can be melted it first has to be beaten together.

We must guard our hearts or we will mix the pure silver of Godly living with the disposable lead of this world.

  17. YES LORD,
13 I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,
14 Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.

MY GOD IS AWESOME, HE CAN MOVE MOUNTAINS, KEEP ME IN THE VALLEY, HIDE ME FROM THE RAIN!!! YES MY GOD IS AWESOME!!! I THANK YOU JESUS, I PRAISE YOU AND I MAGNIFY YOUR NAME JESUS!!! HALELUJAH!!! I LOVE YOU DADDY!!! THANK YOU

  18. 6 He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.

    God can do amazing stuff.

  19. “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me: But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer”. One should be ever mindful of God (Jesus), and heed his word and the man of God. What a mighty God we serve, thank God for his word! God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all, in Jesus name, Amen

  20. v20 Blessed be God, which hath not urned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.

GOD IS constantly doing for us, if we promote righteousness , as a nation or as an individual . I thank him for HIS LOVE
    AND CARE.
    JESUS IS OUR GREAT DELIVERER
HE IS LORD OF LORDS AND
    KING OF KINGS !!!

    Righteousness exalateth a nation: but
sin is a reproach of any people.
    Proverbs 14:34

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive

    iRejoice

  21. 10 For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.

Through tests and trials God will bless us. Although it gets hot and you think you cant hold on much longer. God is there. God is our provider. God is the way maker. He is the Lord God Almighty. Thank God for the fire that refines us. When a material is refined, some of it is thrown away, while others are tuned up and made stronger. The Fire of Refinement.

  22. Let the whole world bless our God and loudly sing his praises. Our lives are in his hands, and he keeps our feet from stumbling. (Psalms 66:8, 9 NLT)
    Amen!!!!!

  23. The community of faith praises God joyfully. And the psalmist representing the individual believer commits himself to praise God and pray to him.

    66-8-12
When we can see Gods hand in our pain and praise Him for our suffering we are coming mature.

  24. Lord, have mercy upon me and hear our prayers, Amen & Amen……

20 Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.

  25. 19 But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.
20 Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.

We are all tested & tried by God so that he can remove iniquity from our lives. During these trials we must keep our Christian demeanor. We can’t ‘go off’ and lose our cool! Rather we must give the situation to God and seek him for our need. When he answers we must give him the glory & praise.
Thank you Lord for answering my prayers & for continuing to move & work in the needs I have placed before you!
If you make a vow to God it is not to be taken lightly. You must do your part of the vow from that moment on.

  26. MAKE a joyful noise 1. MAKE a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands: Ps. 100 : 1 2. Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious. 3. Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee. 4. All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Se’-lah. Ps. 22 : 27 20. Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me. I AM VICTORIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sing unto the LORD, a new song, sing unto the LORD all ye earth!!!!

  27. If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me: (Psalms 66:18 KJV)

Strong’s definition of Regard -to see, look at, inspect, perceive, consider

We know the action or attitude of iniquity is bad but in this verse even the thought to “consider” or “look at” is just the same.

Be careful little eyes what you see
Be careful little mind what you think.

🔶Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth. (John 9:31 KJV)

🔶Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. (Philippians 4:8 KJV)

🔶Oh, how I love your instructions! I think about them all day long. (Psalms 119:97 NLT)

  28. 20 Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
Its so good to know that God still hear my prayers and that he has mercy on me when we don’t deserve it! Hallelujah

  29. Glory—His mercy endures forever!

20 Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.

There are times when we find peals like this one in the Bible that help is to remember that The Lord always hears our prayers. His mercy is always covering us and giving us grace to continue.

  30. Every knee shall bow

Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee. (Psalms 66:3 KJV)

But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him, And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not. (Mark 5:6, 7 KJV)

    James 2:19 (KJV)
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

  31. Testify

16 Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.

I’m reminded of that choir song, Hallelujah Anyhow, and that one line, “I believe I’ll testify God’s been good to me.” We each have our own testimony of what God has done for us and it is part of His light shining through our lives. There are people out there who need to know our testimony, we can’t afford to be afraid to shine.

    Matthew 5:16
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

  32. The unanswered prayer

18 If I regard wickedness in my heart,
    The Lord will not hear;
    (Psalms 66:18 NASBStr)

If I there is wickedness in our hearts, God will not hear our prayer.

’āwen:A masculine noun meaning nothingness, trouble, sorrow, evil, or mischief. The primary meaning is that of emptiness and vanity.

That is why it is important to be sanctified in the Holy Ghost. This is how we can have effective prayer that is answered. This is the key to the miraculous so that we can speak the faith that is needed when there are needs around us to be filled.

and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him. (1 John 3:22 ESV)

    Jas 5:16-18
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth. Then he prayed again, and heaven gave rain, and the earth bore its fruit. (James 5:16-18 ESV)
    Ps 34:13-14
Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous and his ears toward their cry. (Psalm 34:14, 15 ESV)
Ps 66:18If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. But truly God has listened; he has attended to the voice of my prayer. (Psalm 66:18, 19 ESV)
Jas 4:3You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions. (James 4:3 ESV)
Is 1:15 When you spread out your hands, I will hide my eyes from you; even though you make many prayers, I will not listen; your hands are full of blood. Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes; cease to do evil, learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause. “Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord : though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool. If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be eaten by the sword; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” (Isaiah 1:15-20 ESV)
    Luke 18:1-7
And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart. (Luke 18:1 ESV)
    Matt 7:7-8
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. (Matthew 7:7, 8 ESV)
    1 Thes 5:17
pray without ceasing, (1 Thessalonians 5:17 ESV)
    Ps 150. Praise God
    1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9 ESV)

  33. 18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:

19 But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.

20 Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.

It is very clear that God will not hear if there is sin in your life. The relationship between God and man is broken. This is why repentance is very importance in our life. Washing away of sins through water batisim in the name of Jesus. Once you’ve been baptized there still needs to be a daily attitude of repentance for the things that may be sin in our life. The need to apply the blood through genuine repentance is a must if we want to continue in God’s path and for him to hear our prayers.

  34. 20 Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.

I’m victorious through God who has mercy on me. Thank you Lord for loving me when I don’t deserve it. Keep my prayers and bless me. God I praise and worship you with all my heart and soul .
    living me

  35. 6 He turned the sea into dry land : they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.

7 He ruleth by his power forever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.
