Psalm 105

1 O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.

2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.

3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.

4 Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

5 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

6 O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.

7 He is the Lord our God: his judgments are in all the earth.

8 He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.

9 Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;

10 And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:

11 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:

12 When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.

13 When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;

14 He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;

15 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

16 Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.

17 He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:

18 Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:

19 Until the time that his word came: the word of the Lord tried him.

20 The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.

21 He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:

22 To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.

23 Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.

24 And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.

25 He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.

26 He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen.

27 They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.

28 He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.

29 He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.

30 Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.

31 He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts.

32 He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.

33 He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.

34 He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,

35 And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.

36 He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.

37 He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.

38 Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.

39 He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.

40 The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.

41 He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river.

42 For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.

43 And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:

44 And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;

45 That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the Lord.

  1. v4 Seek the LORD, and his strength : seek his face evermore .

    We have the freedom to acknowledge
    HIS LORDSHIP to seek THE LORD in worship and prayer UNTILL we find and know HIM.

    As the man of GOD spoke the POFW are in transition. GOD is positioning us NOW to a place we have not gone before , and touch and see things we have never touch or seen before . We it’s a must to seek THE LORD for ever more continually to know HIM for
    HIMSELF.

    ” BUT there standeth one among you,whom ye know not” John 1 :26

    My prayer is OH that may know HIM, and never grow weary with seeking.
    GOD WILL RESPOND TO OUR HUNGER for
    HIM. Praise GOD!!!

  2. 45 That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the Lord .

    I love this chapter about when the Egyptians wouldnt let God’s people go . I know that God is very powerful and can do what he pleases to anybody he chooses to. He loves us but I know that he will do something to get my attention.
    LORD HELP ME TO KNOW OF YOUR POWERFUL PRESENCE AND NEVER FORGET THAT YOU, LORD HAVE THE LAST SAY IN MY LIFE.

    THANKYOU JESUS, I LOVE YOU Jesus thankyou for your word… in Exodus your glory and strong power came forth. The enemy has no chance with you, Lord.

  3. YES!!!
    43 And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:
    44 And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;
    45 That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the Lord.

    YES!!! HALELUJAH!!! HALELUJAH!!! HALELUJAH!!! THERE’S NO GOD LIKE OUR GOD!!! I LOVE YOU DADDY!!! I PRAISE YOU!!! THE ONE TRUE LIVING GOD!!! HALELUJAH!!! THANK YOU DADDY!!!

  4. Praise the Lord and pray in his name! Tell everyone what he has done. Sing praises to the Lord! Tell about his miracles. Celebrate and worship his holy name with all your heart. (‭Psalms‬ ‭105‬:‭1-
    As you proclaim His goodness, people will begin to believe in our GOD, they’re going to desire what you have. And that’s life in Jesus, peace, a sound mind, joy, etc.
    Go, and compell them to come!

  5. 3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.
    4 Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

    Thanks be to God, we can Glory in his name. We must seek the Lord to have joy, I wonder if people we see without any joy are the people that do not seek God.
    WE must seek the Lord for his strength, his strength is what we need in all trials. Seeking God is the answer to all our problems, many people play patty cake with God. We need to become serious and seek his face for strength and joy that will lead us to his great love and compassion.
    This is what I see if we can learn the value of Joy.

    43 And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:
    44 And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;
    45 That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the Lord.

    The Israelite people were brought forth with Joy. Notice what they received when they allowed God to lead them. They inherited a land they labored not for and reaped the benefits of someone else labor.
    With Joy shall we draw from the waters of salvation.
    I say Lord give me JOY!!!

  6. iLove to eat the Word

    Psalms 105:1 KJV O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.

    Some people might think it is bragging to always tell the testimonies of the Lord, but the opposite is actually true. God wants us to “make his deeds known among the people.”

    Every chance I get, I’m going to tell of the mighty works of the Lord, to everyone that will listen…

    God is no respecter of persons, if he did it for me He’ll do it for you.

  7. Saying, “Do not touch My anointed ones, And do My prophets no harm.” (‭Psalms‬ ‭105‬:‭15‬ NKJV)

    I can’t touch Gods anointing… I can’t even come close to them. I only cause harm and trouble.
    You are anointed I can’t touch you.

    He opened the rock, and water gushed out; It ran in the dry places like a river. (‭Psalms‬ ‭105‬:‭41‬ NKJV)

    Out of no where God provided a way and a hope. Out of a rock he had fresh water flow into a river, to give to his people to drink. That’s awesome.

  8. 42 For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.
    43 And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:
    44 And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;
    45 That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the Lord.

    Faithfulness

    God remembered His promise to Abraham, and kept it. He kept it knowing what man was going to do, how we were going to continue to stay further from His Word. He know how He was going to have to lay His life down, just to be able to give us a chance to spend eternity with Him. According to verse 43 He did it with joy.

    Late last year many of us made a promise that we were going to help with the building, As we near this coming Sunday, we should all strive to be faithful to our promise to Him, allowing Him to be faithful to His promise to us.

  9. God provided for them in the wilderness (vv.39:41)
    In light of such a faithful, promise-keeping God, the psalmist concludes with a summary of God’s blessings

    Remember, God keeps His Promises !

  10. 3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.
    4 Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

    I’m seeking after you God, I’m seeking Your face. I rejoice in You! Less of me and more of You!

  11. 4 Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

    There are sometimes in life that seeking for a handout from God just is not enough for your situation. Seek Him, His strength, and his face. This will sustain us through trials, give us renewed joy every morning, and help you get through things your mind may not want to get over.

    You know it still amazes me how a God that created the universe and who’s words that where spoke before time ever existed, could be so loving and compassionate towards us that he would supply our every need by giving us Himself.

    “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” Psalm 16:11

    It’s all in Him, It’s all in Him, the mighty God is Jesus and it’s all in Him.

    What a great day to be in HIM!

  12. “That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws.” The Lord (Jesus) fulfilled all and more, just as he said he would. God (Jesus) has and will always do as he said and more, if one will; “observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the Lord.” What a mighty God we serve, thank God for his word! God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all, in Jesus name, Amen

  13. 42 For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.

    43 And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:
    44 And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;
    45 That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the Lord.

    I learned long time ago that when I find myself discouraged for any reason there is nothing better than remembering. Remembering where He brought me out of. Remembering ALL His blessings upon me in my life. Once I list all my blessings I have no other thing to do but Praise Him for He is GOOD AND HIS MERCY ENDURETH FOR EVER AND EVER!!!!!! THANK YOU JESUS.

  14. 40. The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.

    How often we could have the bread of heaven if we would only ask! Not only did he give them what they asked for, but he threw in a gushing river in the desert! Our God is Awesome!

  15. 3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.

    4 Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

    I will seek you Lord with my whole heart and never will I stop till that day I see you face to face.

  16. 19 Until the time that his word came: the word of the Lord tried him.

    The word of The Lord tried Joseph until his season changed. Sometimes we find ourselves waiting for another season in our lives or on a promise of God to come to pass, it’s during this time of waiting that our faith and resolve are tried. Do we choose to believe God? Or do we lose hope?

    James 1:3
    Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

    The word of God is true, as we put our trust in it we try our faith.

    2 Samuel 22:31
    As for God, his way is perfect;the word of the Lord is tried:he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.

  17. 43 And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:

    44 And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;

    45 That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the Lord.

    A recount of some of the miracles that God did for the Israelites, while delivering them from the bondage of Egypt. We too can recount many miracles God has done for us individually and collectively on this journey called life. Yet our relationship with Him should not be based on the miracles He has done,or what He is going to do.

    We must have that continual praise regardless on our lips.

  18. BE CAREFUL ALL WHO SEEK TO DESTROY ISRAEL

    6 O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.
    7 He is the Lord our God: his judgments are in all the earth.
    8 He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
    9 Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;
    10 And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:
    11 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:

    The psalmist has a unique understanding and divine revelation of the power of the eternal WORD of GOD. The LORD our GOD will spare no expense to KEEP HIS WORD. GOD desires to give his children the land of their promise. Obviously for us here at The POFW it is not obtaining land in Israel, however it is a type of the promise that GOD has made to us.

    GOD desires to GIVE US promises! Anyone that opposes the fulfillment of those promises will not only oppose the dreamer, but also the one who promised the dream; The LORD of Glory, The GOD of Creation, The Father of LIGHTS; JESUS.

    GOD gave to Israel the land they now posses and also the land they were forced to surrender in 2004-2005. I will not be surprised at what he will do to restore the land to them.

    I will not be surprised at what GOD will do to fulfill the promises that he has made to The POFW family and the families of The POFW. Lets prepare our hearts and minds with great expectation.

  19. God set an order, one the enemy since his fall tries, and cannot destroy. Now that we are heirs of Christ Jesus (Ro 8:17) our maintenance of His commands solidifies our relationship with Him. He is our Foundation no one can break (1 Cor 3:11). The one who brakes a covenant is the person liable for judgment. God will never break his promises to us (Nu 23:19).

    God said to Abraham in covenant: “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” (Gen 12:3) Which means God will discipline His children by His own judgment. That’s why it’s so dangerous for anyone to go against what the Lord has commanded. “15 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.” The struggle is sandwhiched in between a promise made “11 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:” and a promise kept “44 And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;” Their was a process that Israel and we have to go through to get to our promised land.

  20. 3 Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
    4 Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.
    Lord I seek for you and you only. I rejoice with my whole heart. Lord I want more of you and less of me! 🙂
    What a mighty God we serve

  21. This psalm reminds us of Gods majesty and deliverance. It is important to remember the works God does in our lives and give him praise. Past victories encourages us for future endeavors.

  22. Wouldn’t this be an awesome thing today? How would like getting the green light sort of speak from God, with this kind of assurance? You can, for with God all is possible!

    14 He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;

    15 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

    “He is our refuge, our High Tower!”………………………………………………

  23. 8 He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.

    God never changes his word and his promise to his people, the only thing that the Lord is bound by is his own word. This is why when troubles come, we must remember the times when God has come through for us in our lives like this chapter also states and to mediate on his word, for it never changes, what God has promised his people in his word will never change for us, no matter what generation we are.

  24. 2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.
    3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.
    4 Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore.
    5 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

  25. 17 He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:

    20 The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.

    42 For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.

    This chapter reminds me once again how The Lord knows the way that we take. He will direct our path.

    Trust him when your up and when you are not. You may be in a prison or on a throne.

    Trust and obey!

  26. Verses 3-4 AMP “Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those rejoice who seek and require the Lord [as their indispensable necessity]. Seek, inquire of and for the Lord, and crave Him and His strength (His might and inflexibility to temptation); seek and require His face and His presence [continually] evermore.” We should continually seek, inquire, crave Him and His presence at all times. My Grandmother has been this beautiful example for me in my life.

  27. And gave them the lands of the nations [of Canaan], and they reaped the fruits of those peoples’ labor, [Deut. 6:10, 11.] That they might observe His statutes and keep His laws [hearing, receiving, loving, and obeying them]. Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!) (‭Psalm‬ ‭105‬:‭44-45‬)

    Hearing
    Receiving
    Loving
    Obeying

    These are all acting words. It’s moving and changing towards Gods purpose and His will for our lives. Faith without works is dead.

  28. The Process

    Joseph did not go directly to pharaoh’s palace after being sent by God towards destiny. He had to go through being sold as a servant, being lied on, going to prison wrongly, being forgotten, etc before he was at last raised up into power over Egypt. We can’t shortcut the process of destiny but we can abort our destiny by refusing the process. No matter how it looks through the process, we aren’t to give up but, if needed, speak to the dry bones and prophesy to the wind and keep going forward. It won’t always be easy but it is worth the process.

    Psalm 43:5
    Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

  29. 3. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord. 4 Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

    Wow, to seek the face of God, who delivered Israel out of the hands of the Egyptians. He protected them while he showed Egypt his mighty right arm. His face is something to treasure. It is when we seek his face that we enter into his presence. His simple presence gives us a SMALL taste of heaven right here on earth!

  30. Seek the Lord, and seek his strength: seek his face evermore.
    Lord I call on your heavenly name. I call on you Lord God in all my affairs. I eat your word with all my heart. I glorify your holy name. Thank You Father for your Holy spirit. May I glorify

  31. Your name all the days of my life. Your are my Lord and Savior. Thank You Jesus for never leaving my side. I seek you with my whole heart. I am your daughter. I am here to receive my inheritance.

  32. 43 And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:

    We are God’s people and should be joyful. Things may not always go right, but God is always there to help us through it. If it wasn’t for the Lord who was on our side, we would have never made it this far.

  33. 5 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

    Remember everything that The Lord has done…even in our midst, God has shown his great favor, love, mercy, great and mighty miracles! Eye sight recovered, cancers healed, hearts renewed, baptism in Jesus name and can one explain the amazing miracle of receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost!? How many have got it and got refilled and how many are yet to experience.. The Lord has done great things for us. Every victory is a testimony that can be shared. Lets praise Him for His wonderful works, lets praise Him. The Lord is good, and His mercy endureth forever.

  34. He’ll make a way when there is no way

    41 He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river.

    There are many times in our lives where there is no where or one to turn to. We have to remember who made it all. When those times come we have to stand sure footed on the promises of God. We have to believe that he will do the same for us as he did for the patriarchs. We have to expect God to take care of his children.

  35. Lead us lord.

    Psalms 105:39
    He spread a cloud for a covering, And fire to illumine by night.

    In the desert God provided shade in the day and heat in the night. When we are faced with situations God is able to be exactly what we need IN Order to survive.

  36. He laid the foundations of the earth 1. O GIVE thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. 2. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works. Ps. 77 : 12 3. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. 4. Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore. 5. Remember his marvelous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth; I AM VICTORIOUS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS !!!! Glory, Glory, Hallelujah His Truth is marching on !!!!
