Psalm 108

1 O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

2 Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.

3 I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.

4 For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.

5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;

6 That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.

7 God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.

8 Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;

9 Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.

10 Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?

11 Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts?

12 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.

13 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

  3. 13 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

We should always have courage in the Lord and never fear for He will take down ALL our enemies. In Jesus Name.

  4. Verses 1-6 MSG “I’m ready, God, so ready, ready from head to toe. Ready to sing, ready to raise a God-song: “Wake, soul! Wake, lute! Wake up, you sleepyhead sun!” I’m thanking you, God, out in the streets, singing your praises in town and country. The deeper your love, the higher it goes; every cloud’s a flag to your faithfulness. Soar high in the skies, O God! Cover the whole earth with your glory! And for the sake of the one you love so much, reach down and help me—answer me!” Today is a day of anticipation, as our (POFW) prayers were answered last night. My heart is fixed and ready to praise as I awake this morning to this beautiful day that the Lord has made. It makes me want to sing the old Sunday School song “Building Up the Temple”:

    Building up the Temple
    Building up the Temple
We’re building up the Temple for the Lord

    Brother come and help me
    Sister come and help me
We’re building up the Temple for the Lord

  5. 1. My heart is confident in you, O God; no wonder I can sing your praises with all my heart! NLT

People wonder why we praise Him so readily…it’s because we so are confident that He is going to meet our needs that we go ahead and praise Him ahead of time. And with His perfect record – all wins, no losses, it’s no wonder that we do. Meanwhile, we are also praising Him for what He has already done!

    13. Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

We know that we will triumph because we’re not depending on our own strength – He is treading down our enemies; they are already defeated, and then we come along and stomp, stomp, stomp; stomp on the devil!

  6. Give us help for the hard task; human help is worthless. In God we’ll do our very best; he’ll flatten the opposition for good. (‭Psalm‬ ‭108‬:‭12-13‬ MSG)

*With God we over come our enemies. If The Lord is for us who can be against us. if we ask for help from others they can’t do what God can do.

-God I pray you give me patients today. Please. I need you. Last night was awesome.

  7. 1 O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

My heart if fixed, if our heart is fixed, we can go forth and praise God with song and praise. Fixed means to me that nothing will be in our way to stop us from living for God. Many things happen to people in this journey, what we do with these things matters. It does not matter what we think. What does matter is what we do, when things are bad, we need to be careful not to sin with our thoughts. If we develop an attitude that God is always on our side and allow him to fight our battles. See what I mean in the following scriptures.

12 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.
13 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

God and only God can help us, because vain is the help of man. God can fight our battles!
The point here is, if our heart is fixed, God will only fight our battles if we totally allow him to have control of our lives. Let God be our Lord, King and deliver!

  8. 1 O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.
Reading this verse made me think of the song “Souled Out”, what is keeping you from your miracle? Are you/me really souled out for the kingdom of God. I want all the world to know that I am “souled out” to the one that gave his life for me. What is hindering you today from being “souled out” to God today?
My heart is fixed, my mind’s made up
No room, no vacancies, I’m all filled up
    His Spirit lives in me
    – and that’s the reason – I’m Souled Out!
    Yes
My heart is fixed, my mind’s made up
No room, no vacancies, I’m all filled up
    His Spirit lives in me
    – and that’s the reason – I’m Souled Out!
    Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes

    Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes

My heart is fixed, my mind’s made up
No room, no vacancies, I’m all filled up
    His Spirit lives in me
    – and that’s the reason – I’m Souled Out!
(I know there is more to the song this is what I felt today) 🙂
Have a blessed and glorious Monday and let God guide you and use today for his kingdom. We as a church are on the way to bigger and brighter things and God is using POFW to reach the lost. Just a little praise report our friend Brian said last that he felt the spirit and it stirred his soul and he hadn’t felt that in awhile. He also told me that it only took him 30 min to get to the church and he really loved our church and so he is thinking. Keep praying for the backsliders its working!!!

  9. iLove to eat the Word

13 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

Pentecostals of Fort Worth, last night we trampled on the head of the enemy through God. What a fitting verse that perfectly describes what the Lord did for us.

  10. vs 1 Our minds should be made up that we will serve, follow and obey God. Nothing that comes into our lives should change that resolve.

  11. 3 I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.

No matter where are you are or what you’re doing, it’s always a good time to stop and give God praise. David understood the value of praise and that it could help him get out of quiet a few situations. Never stop praising because this is where our victory lies.

  12. Wake up, lyre and harp! I will wake the dawn with my song. I will thank you, LORD, among all the people. I will sing your praises among the nations. For your unfailing love is higher than the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. (‭Psalms‬ ‭108‬:‭2-4‬ NLT)

  13. Valiantly

    Psalms 108:13
13 Through God we shall do valiantly:for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

Valiantly means strength, and influence. Those who are strong for war, able to judge, and righteous in behavior. It means virtuous in character and financial influence. It means numerical influence, and military influence.

Today POFW is going to impact Fort Worth valiantly! We are mighty warriors, ambassadors of Christ, that will militarily, strategically, and financially influence the region THROUGH GOD!

    Philippians 4:13
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Through means in the presence of! Today as we praise God and invite his spirit into our daily lives he will give us ability to do all things!

    WE WILL TAKE THIS CITY!

  14. “Through God We Shall Do Valiantly”

    Victory Over Enemies
    Psalm 108:7-13

108:13 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

And He did!! Thank you Jesus!

    Praise the Exalted God

108:1 My heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

  15. 1 O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.
    AMEN!!!
2 Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.
    Not so much…
3 I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.
    AMEN!!!
4 For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.
    AMEN!!!
    5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;
    AMEN!!!

How great is our God – sing with me
How great is our God – and all will see
How great, how great is our God

    Name above all names
    Worthy of all praise
    My heart will sing
    How great is our God

  16. 1 O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

There is something that happens when you get your heart fixed on a thing. You will not let anything take you from it. I remember being in middle school football when one of my best friends broke his leg. The doctors said he would be out for the season but he showed up to practice with that cast in his leg but in full pads. The coach asked him “Son what are you thinking?” He replied to the coach ” I can still do something” his heart was fixed and the coach realized that this meant more to the spirit of our team than what he could do physically for us. We dressed his me up so that you couldn’t tell he had a cast on and he ran 10 and outs. This brought our team to a new level of commitment. It didn’t matter what came our way we were going to play the game. That season we ended up going undefeated. We never even got scored on. It was the testimony of the kid who wouldn’t give up that fired us up to the point that we couldn’t be beaten. I can only imagine what would happen if we could all get this mentality in the church. No matter what comes my way I’m going to be in the game. After a while the enemy will realize that we are going to win no matter what so there is no use even trying anymore. When the adversary realizes that it is the POFW it will strike fear in his mind because he knows that he’s already defeated before we ever step in. My heart is fixed and my mind is made up, if a junior high boy can rally his team to victory with a made up mind and a fixed heart then I am taking a stand today and claiming that if my team is going to win it’s going to be because I have fixed my heart and will not be moved to the sideline while others fight the battle.

    I am victorious!

  17. 1 O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

Yaass. I’ll praise you because I can

  18. 1 O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

2 Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.

There is power in unity! Last night was a prime example of what happens when a group of people fix their hearts on God, praise Him early (or before the answer), and allow themselves to be awaken spiritually. We bought the sacrifice and the praise and He gave the increase. If last night did not increase your faith, you might want to check your pulse.

Let remember to lift up the Watt’s hands in prayer as they meet with the bankers today. We are already in the favor of God and the spirit of poverty is broken in Jesus name.

  19. 1 My heart is confident in you, O God; no wonder I can sing your praises with all my heart!
2 Wake up, lyre and harp! I will wake the dawn with my song.
3 I will thank you, Lord, among all the people. I will sing your praises among the nations.
4 For your unfailing love is higher than the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
5 Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens. May your glory shine over all the earth.

“Hallelujah what a mighty God, what an awesome God, oh Lord You are, Hallelujah what a great God You are!”

  20. BE EXALTED

    5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;

    WOW!

Thank you JESUS and Thank you POFW Church family for your response of FAITH on Sunday, July 20, 2014.

BE EXALTED O LORD, my heart is FIXED and my mind is made UP!

TimeToBUILD for the GLORY of GOD!

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  21. 1 O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

My heart is fixed on God. Nothing or nobody can stop me from praising his glorious name!!

  22. With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes. (‭Psalms‬ ‭108‬:‭13‬ NLT)

Thankful for a Mighty God! We will see more of this in the days to come.

  23. Victorious

    5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;

6 That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.

12 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.

13 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

Through God, we are victorious! It is not the people who help us but God moving in the situation for His will to be accomplished. I think of how as we go forward with the new building, it is not the banker, the contractor, the plumber, the electrician, or any other who serves that is the difference maker but it is God giving favor and working through them and bringing together those He desires for the work to be done. Otherwise, the glory of the successful building project would go to man not God. But as we lift Him up and give Him glory through it all as we following His lead, we make room for Him to be our help. And with God on our side, who could stand against us? What could stop us?

    Romans 8:31
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

  24. PRAISE FROM THE CONFIDENT
David praises God and expresses his confidence in Gods great love. David prays for Gods help in battle sure that with God we will gain the victory.

  25. His beloved, delivered, saved, and an answered prayer, is like meat to the bones, and a joyous glory in your heart. A very joyful occassion and a great testimony!

6 That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.
    _________________________________________________
Tread on the enemy………trample the snake, stomp on the devil, and praise God’s glorious name.

13 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies

“Be avenged”…”It is written”, “It is God who avenges me” In Jesus name, Amen & Amen……….Psalm 18:47

  26. 12. Give us help from trouble; for vain is the help of man.
    13. trough God we shall do valiantly: for He shall tread down our enemies.
With his Word, His spirit and Testimonies we are more than conquerors.

  27. 4 For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.

    5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;

Praise be to God for his mercy is great and his love endureth forver! He deserves the glory for everything he has done in my life. It’s so easy to look at all the things that are going wrong in our lives, right now in my life it feels like problems just pile ontop of each other but I choice not to look at them but instead I see the glory and mercy he has placed upon me.

Despite all the trouble, I see so many things that are going right in my life and I can say that only God could have done these things in my life. And through faith and imagination I believe God has given me, I can already see my life going in a direction I felt was impossible only years ago. But I can taste great things coming in my life. I just know it, so praise God for everything he has done!

  28. 13 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

David was claiming his victory through the power of his words and his expectation of the victories that God was going to give him. We can see from this chapter the principles of naming, claiming and then framing the areas of victory in our own lives.

God has given POFW dominion and victory over many areas, not it is up to us to frame those victories into place.

  29. 12 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.
13 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

When we finically take the humble road, and admit that we could have none of what we do without Him, then He can beggin to use us, not only to reach our friends, but also our enemies..

  30. 1 O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

2 Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.

3 I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.

It is not time to play church, we have to be fixed (fastened securely in place ) on living for God ! If we do not have our mind fixed, the enemy will make sure he comes along and puts something in our path to hinder our walk with God . But the devil is a lie, we are VICTORIOUS!!!
I am so excited about the new church building !!!!!Glory to the Most High!!!!!

  31. O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory. -Psalms 108:1

I will praise The Lord. I am determined to praise and worship the King.

My praise is not dependent on my circumstances, my ups & downs, highs & lows. Not by how loud the music get and if there is none at all. Praise is about who he is and how great he is.

    Jesus is his name!

  32. 3 I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.

4 For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.

Who is like the Lord OUR God?!?! The mighty God! The awesome God! The faithful God!! The only God. Lord you are good all the time!!!!

  33. 4 For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.

Last night’s service was awesome! It was a simple demonstration of God and how powerful he is all the time! He is merciful always. His truth is forever!

  34. Awake the dawn

Awake the day with praise and worship. Oh what would happen if I gave God the first fruit of the day, everyday? I think many days will feel victorious regardless of circumstance.

  35. “Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.” One can do all through God (Jesus) if one has faith, for the word the Lord (Jesus) is settled. What a mighty God we serve, thank God for his word! God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all, in Jesus name, Amen

  36. 13 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

Only God gets the glory.. Whatever you face you can rest assure in God. We can do great and mighty things through Him if we just believe and obey. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!

  37. I will sing and give praise 1. O GOD, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory. Ps. 57 : 7 2. Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early. Ps. 57 : 8 3. I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee amongt the nations. 4. For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds. 5. Be thou exalted, O God above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth; Ps. 57 : 5 6.That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me. Ps. 60 : 5 I AM VICTORIOUS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS !!!!! BE THOU EXALTED !!!!!

  38. 13 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

Who are we to overcome tests and trials alone? It is with Him all things are possible. My God is great and worthy to be praised!

Who am I without you Lord? You are my rock, my sword, my shield
