Matthew 12

1 At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn and to eat.

2 But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.

3 But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;

4 How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?

5 Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?

6 But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.

7 But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.

8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

9 And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue:

10 And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him.

11 And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?

12 How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.

13 Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.

14 Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him.

15 But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;

16 And charged them that they should not make him known:

17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,

18 Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.

19 He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets.

20 A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.

21 And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.

22 Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.

23 And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?

24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:

26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?

27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.

28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.

29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.

30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.

34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

38 Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.

39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:

40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

41 The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.

42 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.

44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.

45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

46 While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.

47 Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.

48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?

49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!

50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

50 thoughts on “Matthew Chapter 12

  1. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. -Matthew 12:36

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: -James 1:19

But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. -Matthew 12:36
For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. -Matthew 12:37

Your words will testify to who you are and what you believe.

  2. And in his name the Gentiles will hope. ” (‭Matthew‬ ‭12‬:‭21‬ NET)

Jesus, A name that I can trust. When I am sick, Jesus. When I am lonely, Jesus.
When I fear, Jesus. When I pray, Jesus. There is salvation in His name, Jesus.

Jesus…… The most beautiful name, that I know, name above all names!!

I wouldn’t put my trust in any other name.

  3. 14. Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him.

    15. But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;

He is not looking for people who claim to be religious; He is looking for someone who admits they need Him and are willing to follow Him.

“I need Thee, Oh, I need Thee
    Every hour I need Thee
    Bless me now, my Saviour
    I come to Thee”

  4. 34, “O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.”
36, “But I say unto you, That every idle (to have no value, use, or significance; worthless, useless) word that men shall speak, they shall give account (to give satisfactory reasons for; explain) thereof in the day of judgment.”
37, “For by thy words thou shalt be justified (to free from blame; declare guiltless; acquit; absolve), and by thy words thou shalt be condemned (to prove guilty of wrongdoing; declare to be guilty; convict or to give a judicial decision against; inflict a penalty upon; doom).

When you talk, have you every stopped to think about what you’re saying? Well, God does. He hears every little (idle) word we speak, and every little (idle) word we speak, we are going to be held accountable (explain) for on the day of judgment. Our little (idle) words are either going to justify (acquit and make us free) us or condemn (bring a penalty and doom) us.

So, maybe, we need to stop and think about the song today, “O be careful little mouth what you say. O be careful little mouth what you say. For the Father up above is looking down in love, so be careful little mouth what you say.”

God’s Word is Powerful. As we read His Word everyday, we need to read it with understanding, and let it teach us, reprove us, correct us, and instruct us. (2 Tim. 3:16)

  5. iLove to eat the Word

7 But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.

I wonder how many times we falsely accuse people in our hearts and minds just because of perception. The law of God is written and true, but thank The Lord there is Mercy and Grace mingled through out it. We need all the help we can get!

  6. The beginning of this chapter reminds me that my God is in control of ALL things. Verse 21 MSG says “Before you know it, his justice will triumph; the mere sound of his name will signal hope, even among far-off unbelievers.” His name is JESUS.

The middle of the chapter says there is no neutral ground…..verse 30 MSG says “This is war, and there is no neutral ground. If you’re not on my side, you’re the enemy; if you’re not helping, you’re making things worse.” Be a stepping stone to help someone reach Him; not a stumbling block. It also reminds us at the end of verse 37 MSG “Words are powerful; take them seriously. Words can be your salvation. Words can also be your damnation.” Speak life into someone’s life; not death.

The end of the chapter reminds us that obedience is key. Deuteronomy 4:39-40 MSG says “Know this well, then. Take it to heart right now: God is in Heaven above; God is on Earth below. He’s the only God there is. Obediently live by his rules and commands which I’m giving you today so that you’ll live well and your children after you—oh, you’ll live a long time in the land that God, your God, is giving you.”

  7. 43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.

There are dangers in back sliding that many of us never think about. When we make the decision I am not living for God, When the unclean spirit leaves a body he will look for another place to go. When that unclean spirit does not find a place to go he will go back to where he came from.
This is why we have to be ready to live for God and to give him our life. We must always watch our hearts and not let spirits get in there that is not right. The enemy will not let us go without a battle. It is not enough to keep some our heart clean, but we must keep it filled with the Holy Ghost. If the Holy Ghost is there the unclean spirit can not get in.
We should never leave our hearts empty, but filled to the brim with the Holy Ghost.
This is why many back sliders are worse than they were before they came to church. Remember do not just keep things clean, but keep them filled!

  8. Jesus did his work without purposeful confrontation. His mission as ours should be was to spread the Word and do the will of his Father.

  9. 47 Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

So very thankful for my church family for their love for us is thicker than blood. You see your family is your family no matter what for they are your blood; but your church family chose to love you, wants to love you, accepts you and choses to take care of you. That kind of live only comes from God. GOD IS SO GOOD!!!!

  10. What’s your bible say?

    Matthew 12:36
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

The word account is the word logos.

John 1:1 says in the beginning was the word, or logos, and the logos was with God and the logos was God.

12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

I believe that the logos of man will be judged by the logos of God. When we give account it will be Jesus humanity we will be likened to.

Everything that Jesus did was out of prayer, fasting, and being led by the spirit. So we have opportunity to do the same as him, and even greater.

12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

So the question is What bible are you writing?

Can someone read your bible and know how to be saved?

Can someone read your bible and it point them to jesus?

We have the pen and write our chapter and verse by our actions, attitude, and speech.

2 Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:

  11. 30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. KJV
30 “This is war, and there is no neutral ground. If you’re not on my side, you’re the enemy; if you’re not helping, you’re making things worse. MSG

Years ago I was presented with a conflict between two friends. I was not involved in the conflict and it seemed a little silly to me but I was thrust into the malady. The two friends looked to me to decide which was right and thus determining which was wrong with the same decision. It is human nature to choose sides. All of us do it all of the time. We choose: between good guys and bad guys, between Republicans and Democrats; etc…

I told them they were acting childish and that I wanted no part in choosing between them. It reminded me of the Dr. Seuss story The Sneeches. The story was all about Sneeches who had or didn’t have stars on their bellies and the inclusion or separation caused by the star on ones belly or the lack of. So, whose side are you on? Are you on the side of the Lord or as mentioned in verse 30 states “making things worse”?

    As the Sneeches say:
“…changing their stars, every minute or two.
They kept paying money; they kept running through,
until neither the Plain nor the Star-Bellies knew
whether this one was that one… or that one was this one…
or which one was what one… or what one was who.”

  12. …… For whatever is in your heart determines what you say. (‭Matthew‬ ‭12‬:‭34‬ NLT)

Be careful for what you say.

  13. We are family.

There’s a song that says. Your my brother. Your my sister. So take me by the hand. Together we will work until he comes. There’s no foe tgat can defeat us when were walking side by side. As long as there is love we will stand.
So often we feel alone. Like no ones there. Truth of the matter is that we are family. This is why we call each other brother and sister. So take the hand that’s around you and let’s stand together.

  14. 29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.

Before the city gives up the souls and the goods that are proses to this church we have to come together in the strength of the Holy Ghost and bind this strong man that holds our promise . There are multitudes waiting, hanging in the balance for a church to get enough passion and wrath, as pastor preached last night,
    to do something about it.

    Daniel 11
32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do [exploits].

    And do

Take up thy bed and go. There are promises waiting on us. Let us go take them in the name of Jesus.

  15. People over religiosity (legalism)

    Matthew 12:7
But if you had known what this means, ‘I desire compassion, and not A sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the innocent.

Prior to this Jesus mentions examples of people doing what was deemed unlawful.

    Matthew 12:3-4
But He said to them, “Have you not read what David did when he became hungry, he and his companions, how he entered the house of God, and they ate the consecrated bread, which was not lawful for him to eat nor for those with him, but for the priests alone?

Religious people condemn them, compassionate people see the need and respond to fill that need.

We must be careful not to birth a proud spirit like the Pharisees. They valued rules and tradition over the kingdom of God. Their presuppositions (beliefs they had that influence their interpretation of scripture; I.e. Trinitarians have a presupposition of the Trinity, which alters their interpretation of scripture) of the messianic kingdom was a carnal one. They thought the messiah would overthrow the Roman Empire and make himself king, which he will, but at that time the kingdom was spiritual. The spiritual normally precedes the natural (God created the angels first, Jobs test was decided in a conversation in heaven, other times it’s opposite, Adam was a body before given spiritual life), and we see this with the kingdom of God.

When we focus on rules we become cynical. When compassion is the focus we become loving. Every DO NOT in the bible falls under two I DO’s: 1) love God with everything you got, 2) and love your neighbor as yourself (our better yet, love your neighbor as God loves them, this is a better yet b/c not everyone loves themselves, culture today is much different than culture in Biblical times)

  16. YES!!!
47 Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.
This is one of the many verses that helps people of the Catholic faith to see the truth, about idolatry and Mary still being a virgin. Most Catholic followers do not know that she had other children after JESUS……….
THANK YOU DADDY FOR ALLOWING me TO COME TO THE REAL TRUTH, FOR ONLY YOU ARE WORTHY OF ALL HONOR AND GLORY!!! I PRAISE YOU JESUS!!! HALELUJAH!!!

  17. There is no grey area in the church, it’s either black or white. When you are in the kingdom you are either a problem solver or a problem maker. I choose the kingdom of God! I want to be a problem solver and not a problem maker.

Thank you Jesus for having the patience!

  18. THE DANGER OF LOOSE LIPS

It is disappointing to hear individuals speak in such negative conditions. Faithless, frustrated individuals with no hope, no vision and no future attempt in every way possible to bring others down to their level. They are quick to blast out false accusation and personal opion, yet when opportunity to say AMEN or Praise the LORD is available they sit silent. They then profess nothing is wrong.

Sir/Mam this WORD is for you. If you are not going to give JESUS the PRAISE that is due his name, but will speak against those that attempt spiritual progress; YOU are LOST; YOU are BACKSLID. Repent immediately and open your mouth and give JESUS the praise that is due HIS great name. It is the sin tainted heart that causes you to gossip, complain and falsely accuse people that are pressing to live for JESUS and honor HIS word.

As we read in Matthew Chapter 12, any PHARISEE can accuse and criticize, but JESUS clearly reaches here that EVERY word will be judged by HIM. Every word around our dinner table, in our automobile, sitting in the living room and even in the privacy of our bedroom. WILL be ACCOUNTABLE.

Focus on speaking the positive. Practice saying the name of JESUS, make JESUS the most frequented word in our vocabulary today, tomorrow and every remaining day on this earth. I am confident and KNOW that saying JESUS is the safest WORD that can proceed from my mouth.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  19. 30-32
    Blasphemy against the Spirit
The specific act which generated the response was ascribing miracles that Jesus peformed in the power of the Spirit to satan. The unforgivable sin could onjy be committed when Jesus was on earth.

  20. 25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:

Be carful little mind what you think. God knows everything and hears everything, you can’t fool him. Instead of talking about other people we need to come together as one as worship him!

  21. 25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

There is no room for division in the kingdom if God. All kingdoms fall when divided, but we know the kingdom of God will last forever. It can be concluded that anyone who tries to divide in the kingdom of God cuts himself off from the kingdom. Unity prevails. The only division we need to have is dividing the kingdom of the enemy.

  22. Jesus was not a respecter of persons. Anywhere He saw a need, He was ready, willing and able to meet that need, regardless of day, time or hour.

If we are going to be Jesus to the world, we have to be instant in season and out of season. We have to be ready, willing and able to speak a word fitly spoken into the lives of people that Jesus puts into our pathway on a daily basis.

Many people pray over and over again Jesus use me, I’m willing, but bypass on a daily basis people that are in need all around them. Let’s be JESUS today to everyone we meet.

  23. 30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

Jesus name is the greatest name of all names and should be honored and kept Holy. He is for you so who could be against you. Trust in him and repent of your wicked ways, he is the only way and will forgive us in sincere repentance.

  24. 37 For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” (NLT)

We must be aware of what we allow our lips to say, be aware of what we allow into our lives and mind because what goes in, just the same will come out. Let everyone hear You when I speak Lord!

  25. The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you.” (‭Matthew‬ ‭12‬:‭37‬ NLT)

It matters what you say to people. You are either uplifting them and giving life with your tongue or you’re condemning and killing. How are we any better than people who murder with worldly weapons? We need to stop and adjust our attitudes before we speak to others. Let’s not be murderers, let’s uplift others. 😊

  26. Then the Pharisees went out and plotted against Him, how they might destroy Him. (‭Matthew‬ ‭12‬:‭14‬ NKJV)
*these men had the nerve to plot against the king of king. Here is Jesus. Trying to teach them salvation. And all they can is stand there and hate on him. They don’t really believe him.

“Behold! My Servant whom I have chosen, My Beloved in whom My soul is well pleased! I will put My Spirit upon Him, And He will declare justice to the Gentiles. (‭Matthew‬ ‭12‬:‭18‬ NKJV)
*im thankful for a God and his mercy that he loved the Gentiles enough to save them along with the Jews and the Greek.

Or how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house. (‭Matthew‬ ‭12‬:‭29‬ NKJV)
*How do you bind the strong man? With worship and praise.

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. (‭Matthew‬ ‭12‬:‭35‬ NKJV)
-You can’t speak good things when your constantly speaking evil and cussing. And always talking down on people.
To try to show the gospel and the true love of Jesus Christ. You have to live a life that is pleasing to God. Reading the word. Praying and fasting. Living and driving for wisdom and understanding. To show love to the people in this world of hate and sin. We have to live right to speak good. If we hide our evil. Our fruit will come out to be evil.
Jesus help me live the life you want me to live.

  27. 43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.

When we are delivered from unclean spirits of the enemy they must leave their dwelling place which just do happens to be us. What they left behind is empty and it is up to us to fill it up. If we continue ti do the same things we were delivered from then we are just inviting the enemy back. If we are delivered but then choose to do nothing to better the spiritual state that we are in then his house is left empty and when that evil spirit returns to tempt us and realizes that nothing had taken his place will come back and bring other spirits far more worse than itself
. That is why after being delivered it is so important to tear down the spot he has made comfortable for himself and fill that place with the holy spirit. We must allow our once tormented minds to become a peaceful place for the holy spirit. We must fill ourselves with a spirit that is greater than all the rest so when the evil ones come back to visit there will be no place for them to rest because we are overflowing with the Holy Ghost. Gods spirit cannot dwell where sin is and viseversa. Choose this day who you will serve, there’s no grey are in the kingdom of God.

  28. Matthew 12:31,32
The keys to not sinning against the Holy Spirit are to:(1) be led by the Spirit, (2) be filled with this spirit, and (3)be illuminated by the Spirit.
John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

  29. 36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Oh be careful little mouth what you say, there’s a Father up above looking down in tender love oh be careful little mouth what you say!! This is a very popular Sunday school song that we learn at a very young age , but we must ask ourselves do we take heed to it. Are we careful of the things we say to others. We could offend someone with what we say and cause them to not want the salvation that we have . Lord please help me think before I speak and if it is not going to help someone, to not say anything at all. If we are honest about it , we have all been guilty of this sometimes . Let’s pray that we will all be more mindful of the things we say !!

  30. 37 For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned (NLT)

Be careful what you say ,Jesus hears everything.

  31. 37 For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned (NLT)

Be careful what you say ,Jesus hears everything, including the thoughts we have in our heads.

  32. 1 At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn and to eat.
2 But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.

    That so awesome.

  33. 30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

It amazes me how God know where we are and what to say at the right moment. When the day gets harder and harder a simple word in the quiet closet is just what I need.

  34. 45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
Protect your house and spiritual house which is your temple your body. The devil should never feel comfortable where we are.

  35. “He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.” Those that rejected God (Jesus) sought only to build up self, and caused division in so doing. One must be mindful of one’s actions and quick to repent, for one that causes division will give an account. What a mighty God we serve, thank God for his word! God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all, in Jesus name, Amen.

  36. Or how can one enter a strong mans house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? and then will he plunder his house.

  37. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. (‭Matthew‬ ‭12‬:‭36‬ KJV)

Words are very important. Words that are spoke and also unspoken. Death and life are in our words. Speak life to those around you and situations. I believe we will give an account for words unspoken that would have led individuals to Christ. We must listen and obey His voice.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. (‭Proverbs‬ ‭18‬:‭21‬ KJV)

  38. 14 Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him.

    15 But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;

They counciled agaimst him to destroy him. Yet He walked away. Sometimes its ok to just walk away. In do season judgment will come to your advisory. Right now it is time to take care of business. There are people following you that need you to show them the path to healing not vengeance.

  39. And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother. (‭Matthew‬ ‭12‬:‭49-50‬ KJV)
Ever wonder why church folks looked after each other like a family? It’s because when you start doing the will of God then you become a part of the family. Jesus uses his own words here and says that we become his family if we do what the creator wants. The creator wants his creation to love and worship him! Gather more who don’t understand the truth and worship again. Let’s get out there and act like a family that loves one anther. (No one needs another dysfunctional situation. If we keep our eyes on Christ that won’t become an issue. )

    I love my family!

  40. Bread

    3 But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;
4 How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?
5 Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?

As we labor in the house of the Lord, there is divine provision made available to us. God will not only provide for the ministering to souls but He will provide for our needs. As we become a vessel for Him to flow through, His blessing can openly flow to us.

    Psalm 16:5
The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.

    Proverbs 11:25
The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.

  41. 43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.

I remember Pastor preaching over these verses saying the importance it is for us to always having the Holy Spitit and not letting our house be empty and letting evil spirt in. If we don’t worry about being filled with the HOLY GHOST the enemy will return and bring in more evil spirits. If the devil returns and doesn’t find Christ to shut him out the devil will sweep and garnish our heats with evil thoughts. Then that is when man will start rebelling and start fading away from he truth. Guard your heart by the Spirit of the HOLY GHOST and the devil will flee. I LIVE TO PRAISE YOU JESUS!!!!!

  42. 34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

Pretty soon what’s been harboring in a person’s heart will roar out in the things with say.  A person that’s been wounded will eventually speak about pain and speak in a manner that is demanding and hurtful.  The one who is angry will, “vent” the rage. The same goes to the one who fills himself with life from the Word of God.  Such s person speaks hope, love, peace and joy.  The psalmist prayed in psalm 51; create in me a clean heart…  We must put filters that will keep our hearts filled with goodness from The Lord. Only the Word of God is what will give us the enrichment our soul needs.

Proverbs 2:1-9 My son, if you receive my words,And treasure my commands within you, So that you incline your ear to wisdom,And apply your heart to understanding; Yes, if you cry out for discernment,And lift up your voice for understanding, If you seek her as silver,And search for her as for hidden treasures; Then you will understand the fear of the Lord,And find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly; He guards the paths of justice,And preserves the way of His saints. Then you will understand righteousness and justice,Equity and every good path.

  43. 43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.

He found it clean, Swept out, put in order. The person’s life was empty of sin. But if you notice the Bible doesn’t say it didn’t have anything. It could have had a little love here, and a little joy there, but not the life filling kind Christ was longing to place there.
Something was still dangerously wrong in his life even though it seemed so right. It was empty of sin but dangerously empty.

One of the devil’s greatest weapons is camouflage. He remains well hidden until he is exposed or in control of a person’s life. By the time it becomes that obvious, his death grip is just that much harder to escape.

    Romans 6:16
Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

You CANNOT sin without first surrendering your will and desires to want to do a certain thing; likewise, you CANNOT and will not live righteously unless you desire to do so.

In the struggles between the flesh and the spirit, what is the battleground? The mind.

    2 Corinthians 2:11
Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

We become complacent and ignore the empty holes in our lives. The devil takes advantage and fills them neatly. A small incident can lead to a path to destruction. I have had a lot of trouble in my life, most of which never happened. We worry so much about tomorrow we miss out on today.

  44. 33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.

Galations 5:22 But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, genetleness, goodness and faith.

  45. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” (Matthew 12:37)
Most of us think that this passage refers to our conversations we have with others at home, work, the store, church, etc. But what about applying it to ourselves when we are are on our knees? Have you considered that out of our abundance of prayer or lack of-our heart speaks?
God knows our every thought, desire, and emotion. Though we may not speak of these things God knows because it’s impossible to hide things from Him.

  46. Spirit of God !!!! 28. But if I cast out devils by the Spir’-it of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you. 29. Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house. Isa. 49 :24 30. He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. 31. Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Ho’-ly Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. Mark 3 : 28 32. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Ho’-ly Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. I AM VICTORIOUS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS !!!! I LOVE YOU JESUS !!!!
