Mark 14

1 After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.

2 But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar of the people.

3 And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.

4 And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?

5 For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.

6 And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.

7 For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.

8 She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying.

9 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.

10 And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went unto the chief priests, to betray him unto them.

11 And when they heard it, they were glad, and promised to give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him.

12 And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the passover?

13 And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him.

14 And wheresoever he shall go in, say ye to the goodman of the house, The Master saith, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?

15 And he will shew you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us.

16 And his disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.

17 And in the evening he cometh with the twelve.

18 And as they sat and did eat, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, One of you which eateth with me shall betray me.

19 And they began to be sorrowful, and to say unto him one by one, Is it I? and another said, Is it I?

20 And he answered and said unto them, It is one of the twelve, that dippeth with me in the dish.

21 The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had never been born.

22 And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.

23 And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it.

24 And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.

25 Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.

26 And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

27 And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.

28 But after that I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.

29 But Peter said unto him, Although all shall be offended, yet will not I.

30 And Jesus saith unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this day, even in this night, before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice.

31 But he spake the more vehemently, If I should die with thee, I will not deny thee in any wise. Likewise also said they all.

32 And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray.

33 And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy;

34 And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch.

35 And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him.

36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.

37 And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour?

38 Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.

39 And again he went away, and prayed, and spake the same words.

40 And when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy,) neither wist they what to answer him.

41 And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

42 Rise up, let us go; lo, he that betrayeth me is at hand.

43 And immediately, while he yet spake, cometh Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.

44 And he that betrayed him had given them a token, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he; take him, and lead him away safely.

45 And as soon as he was come, he goeth straightway to him, and saith, Master, master; and kissed him.

46 And they laid their hands on him, and took him.

47 And one of them that stood by drew a sword, and smote a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.

48 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Are ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and with staves to take me?

49 I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled.

50 And they all forsook him, and fled.

51 And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him:

52 And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.

53 And they led Jesus away to the high priest: and with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes.

54 And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.

55 And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found none.

56 For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together.

57 And there arose certain, and bare false witness against him, saying,

58 We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.

59 But neither so did their witness agree together.

60 And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?

61 But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?

62 And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

63 Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses?

64 Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.

65 And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.

66 And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest:

67 And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, And thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth.

68 But he denied, saying, I know not, neither understand I what thou sayest. And he went out into the porch; and the cock crew.

69 And a maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, This is one of them.

70 And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth thereto.

71 But he began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not this man of whom ye speak.

72 And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.

  1. Yes LORD
49 I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled.

This example should not be for the Christians today, but sadly it is.
A great portion of believers sit and take for granted the Glory Of GOD . If the scripture must be fulfilled………. I don’t want this part of scripture to be fulfilled in my life, I would soooooo much rather, “well done”……….and so many others.
I THANK you JESUS, there is no one like you DADDY!!! I PRAISE YOU AND I MAGNIFY YOU ALONE JESUS!!! HALELUJAH!!!

  2. 18 And as they sat and did eat, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, One of you which eateth with me shall betray me.

It was said of Judas, it would have been good for that man to had never been born.
To be a betrayer is not a good sign, We should never betray the Lord. The end of a betrayer and or backslider is not where anyone should want to be.
We have sit together in heavenly places with the Lord and felt the presence and power of God. People may backslide and loose out with God, but they will never get away from God. I am told by people who are backsliders: I search for God everyday and feel God, but cannot bring myself to go back to God.
There are so many dangers of backsliding, as was with Judas when he realized what he done, he went and hanged himself. The condemnation was so overwhelming, he could not help himself.

Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Our lives are not meant to be filled with condemnation, if condemnation is present, the spirit of God is not present. We are not suppose to feel condemned, but filled with glory and joy. We know we are loosing out with God when we begin to feel condemnation in our hearts over the things we do. If we would obey earlier feelings we would have felt conviction over these things and could repent. If we continue to ignore conviction, we will find ourselves in contempt and then condemnation will be a everyday part of our lives!

NEVER BECOME A BETRAYER, LIKE JUDAS!

  3. As they were at the table eating, Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, one of you eating with me here will betray me.” (‭Mark‬ ‭14‬:‭18‬ NLT)

If God says it’s going to happen, then it’s going to happen.

  4. 26 And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

I have read this scriptures numerous times but never noticed until today that they worship!!! They sang a hymn… Can you imagine what will be like to worship Him face to face???? I have every time we sing at church I close my eyes and I picture how it would be. Thank you Jesus for your example, YOU EVEN WORSHIP!!!! I LOVE YOU JESUS!!!! MY SAVIOR MY FRIEND.

  5. 70. And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth thereto.

When people hear us talk, can they tell we follow Jesus? It’s not enough to sound like Christians in church, but we need to sound and act like it everywhere we go.

  6. 3 … there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.

4 And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?

5 For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.

6 And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.

we should be careful to criticize what someone does for the Lord because it could possibly be what he wants of them.

  7. The first eleven verses reminded me about giving Jesus your very best, no matter what. You will be blessed.

Verses 12-21 MSG spoke to me about how God has everything already prepared for you and your life. Jeremiah 1:5 MSG “Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew all about you. Before you saw the light of day, I had holy plans for you: A prophet to the nations—that’s what I had in mind for you.”

Verses 22-31 spoke to me about how your actions should coincide with what you say or proclaim. Verses 32-42 reminds us to stay vigilant and not get caught in the danger zone by being spiritually asleep.

Verses 43-65 brought to my mind about being careful that you do not become the judge and jury of anyone. Matthew 7:1-5 MSG “Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults— unless, of course, you want the same treatment. That critical spirit has a way of boomeranging. It’s easy to see a smudge on your neighbor’s face and be oblivious to the ugly sneer on your own. Do you have the nerve to say, ‘Let me wash your face for you,’ when your own face is distorted by contempt? It’s this whole traveling road-show mentality all over again, playing a holier-than-thou part instead of just living your part. Wipe that ugly sneer off your own face, and you might be fit to offer a washcloth to your neighbor.”

The end of the chapter reminds me about not being ashamed of the Gospel. We should be different, identified and have it written all over us; who we serve…..Jesus!

  8. Amen
Acts 2 : 38 then peter said unto them repent and be baptized in the name of the lord of jesuschrist and you will receive the gift of the holy Ghost

  9. 55-59 The high priests conspiring with the Jewish Council looked high and low for evidence against Jesus by which they could sentence him to death. They found nothing. Plenty of people were willing to bring in false charges, but nothing added up, and they ended up canceling each other out. Then a few of them stood up and lied: “We heard him say, ‘I am going to tear down this Temple, built by hard labor, and in three days build another without lifting a hand.’” But even they couldn’t agree exactly. MSG

Storytelling or stretching the truth is just plain lying and will always produce results; and not always the desired results. While we may get away with it at the moment, we will be held accountable for our words. We will need to remember what we told to who and when. Mark Twain stated “If you tell the truth, you don’t have to remember anything.”

  10. Christian tradition, supported by Cyril of Jerusalem (c. 310–386), identifies the site of Holy Zion Church in Jerusalem as the place where the upper room was located. This may well be correct, but the story is complicated and details are disputed by scholars.

First, it is unclear whether there were one or two “upper rooms.” Mark 14:15 and Luke 22:12 each speaks of an upper room where the Last Supper was held, but Acts 1:13 uses a different Greek word to refer to the upper room where the disciples met after the resurrection of Jesus. Even so, the two rooms may well have been one and the same.

The traditional location of the upper room at Holy Zion Church is called the Cenacle or, in Latin, the Coenaculum. It is located outside the Old City near the Zion Gate and may be seen on the sixth-century Madaba Map, an ancient mosaic map of the Holy Land. The Cenacle is also (erroneously) referred to as David’s Tomb.

Holy Zion Church was damaged in the 1948 war, and this allowed Israeli archaeologist Jacob Pinkerfeld to investigate the site. He concluded that a Roman-period synagogue had stood on the spot, arguing that the building had a niche that could have been a repository for Torah scrolls and that it was oriented toward the temple mount. Christian scholars responded that this was probably a Jewish-Christian church built after the fall of Jerusalem in a.d. 70 to commemorate the site of the Last Supper (the present-day Holy Zion Church being a later structure built at the same site). They note that the building appears to have been constructed from reused stone from the fallen temple of Herodand that it is actually oriented toward the Holy Sepulchre (obviously implying that the builders were Christian). Since then numerous scholars have weighed in on both sides of the issue, some favoring the interpretation of the structure as a synagogue and others as a church. The debate is also complicated by questions involving comments by ancient writers.

No one is suggesting that the actual building where the Last Supper took place has been located, but only that remains of a church that commemorated its location have been unearthed. We should note that the debate here centers not upon the historicity of the Last Supper account but simply upon whether or not the traditional identification of its location is accurate. The traditional Cenacle still remains the strongest candidate for being that location.

  11. But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?

62 And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

  12. 36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.
Lord let me do your will not my own! I want to do your works on your time not my needs at my time. Lord you are my provider and I know you will give me more than I need! Let your will be done!!:)

  13. 70 And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth thereto.

When you know about the gospel. You can’t go into the world and be like them. I have meet a few backsliden Pentecostals. And there’s just something about knowing the truth that separates us from the world. It’s all in our speach. We talk different. We act different. We are different. So be different.

  14. Come and Dine

    Mark 14:13-15 (KJV Strong’s)
” 13 And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him. 14 And wheresoever he shall go in, say ye to the goodman of the house, The Master saith, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples? 15 And he will shew you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us.”

    What a miracle!

The Passover feast took much preparation and here Jesus says that there is already a large upper room furnished and prepared.

When we come before God he has a table furnished and prepared. Everyday he invites us to sup with him.

    Revelation 3:20 (KJV Strong’s)
” 20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

He is ready, and has many good things for us to eat everyday!

There is strength, encouragement, instruction, correction, and direction at his table. We can be refreshed, refueled, and revived at his table.

However it is our choice to eat or not.

    John 21:12 (KJV Strong’s)
” 12 Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.”

    Luke 12:37 (KJV Strong’s)
” 37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.”

  15. LIP SERVICE

In the compelling atmosphere of communion or the last supper with JESUS, the apostle Peter, the messenger of the church, the one that held the future of the Kingdom of GOD in the Keys of the revelation of the Kingdom of GOD. Peter the first Pentecostal preacher, proclaims what every good christian would proclaim, I will GO all the way with you JESUS and though others betray you, I will not betray you.

One test of our FAITH will reveal the TRUTH of our WORDS.

    JESUS warned in:
Mark 7:6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

If Peter the original Apostolic preacher is subject to this deception and frailty of heart then I must guard myself against making shallow promises and commitments to GOD.

When LIP SERVICE was tested, Peter failed the test.

We must prepare for our LIP SERVICE to be tested by the LORD to ensure that our HEART is with HIM and that is only revealed through our commitments.

  16. iLove to eat the Word

    “A Waste of Money”

Mark 14:4 “And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?”

Many people today have this same attitude when it comes to the principles of the kingdom of God. Carnal folks cannot understand why we give 10 percent of all our increase ($$$) and why we give at least 10 percent of our day (2.4 hours) every day to Jesus. Many call it a waste to sacrificially give and some might even have a better idea on how the funds should be spent. With that being said, I’m glad Jesus lets us know how he really feels about heart sacrifice.

6 “And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.”

Jesus sees all of our sacrifices and they honor Him when done from a pure heart. The giving of our time, treasure, and talent are never a waste to Jesus…and He will always repay.

  17. 70 And he denied it again.

When we talk outside of church can people tell we are Christians? I want people to be able to tell that I live for God, with how I act, dress, and talk. But not just that I want people to be able to see God in me.

  18. 55 And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found none.

56 For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together.

There was no sin to be found in Jesus and even the liars could not agree on their lies when they tried to condemn him. But as Jesus said earlier in this passage, scripture must be fulfilled. Our Savior came to redeem us and it took the precious atoning blood of Jesus Christ. Now that His blood is applied to our lives, we must let our light shine like a city set on a hill so that this world can see him.

  19. 48 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Are ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and with staves to take me?

49 I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled.

50 And they all forsook him, and fled.
    They forsook Jesus!
in life when people and friendships go south and bad things happen between people we feel sometimes like we’re all alone and it only happens to us. But Jesus saw the same type of treatment and denial like we have but when he was on the cross asked for forgiveness for them. We must have the same type of attitude and remember when people forsake us they did it to Jesus too.

  20. Like Peter, when told about what he would do, he said no I would never deny You Lord. To previsualize such a scenario we too would probably say no never, but when the time comes what will you really do? When a test comes and someone approaches you about God what will you say? Will you proclaim with the utmost confidence the greatness of your God, or will you be so ashamed you deny Him?

  21. Peter’s denial !! 66. And as Pe’-ter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest: Matt. 26 : 58 67. And when she saw Pe’-ter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, And thou also wast with Je’-sus of Naz’-a-reth. 68. But he denied, saying, I know not, neither understand I what thou sayest. And he went out into the porch; and the cock crew. 69. And a maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, This is one of them. 70. And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Pe’-ter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Gal-I-lae’-an, and thy speech agreeth thereto. 71. But he began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not this man of whom ye speak. 72. And the second time the cock crew. And Pe’-ter called to mind the word that Je’-sus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept. I LOVE YOU JESUS !! YOU ARE MERCIFUL !! YOU ARE WONDERFUL !! YOU ARE GREAT !! YOU ARE A REDEEMER !!

  22. 37, And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour?”
38, “Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.” (KJB)

I never really noticed this before, but there is a reason why Jesus woke Peter up in the garden and told him that “The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.” Peter was the one in the scriptures before this who said that he would not be offended or deny him. (His spirit was ready and willing to fight for Jesus.) Yet, when Jesus asked him to watch and pray in the garden, he came back and found them sleeping. (Peter’s flesh was weak.)

So many are like this today. Truly our spirit is ready to stand up for Jesus in anything, and then this old flesh gets in the way, and we become weak. We need to do as the scriptures says, WATCH and PRAY” so that we don’t enter into temptation. We need to crucify this old flesh and bring it under submission to the things of God.

Gal. 5:16, “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.”
Gal. 5:17, “For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.”
Gal. 5:25, “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”

Watch, Pray, and Walk in the Spirit !

  23. 3 And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.

She offered her best, very precious commodity.
Jesus asks us for our best. Remember Cain and Abel? Abel brought his best lamb, while Cain brought a substitute offering. His substitute cost him peace, relationship, his brother and many other things in life.
What we offer to the Lord is important. What do I have or hold as precious that I can offer as a sacrifice unto the Lord?

  24. 70 And he denied it again.

And when he thought thereon, he wept.😏

  25. Denial & Betrayal, should be the title here. But, something really beautiful happened here. The annoiting oil for his burial. She had done a great thing of upmost importance noticed by Jesus as a memorial for her. He also advised the importance of prayer so won’t enter in temptation. He even gave us a hint that our prayers need to be at least an hour. It’s there………………..

  26. 71 But he began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not this man of whom ye speak.

72 And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.

We all fall, we all fail God. Even Peter who walked and talked with him daily, and yet he still loves us, I thank God for that unfailing love, I don’t deserve that love. He loves me, he forgave me, he redeemed me and he continues to stay faithful through it all. I thank God for his faithfulness

  27. Peters promise
    vs27-31
We commend Peters commitment to Jesus. It was very real and his promise not to fall away was utterly sincere. But Peters subsequent failure reminds us how vulnerable and weak we all are. Only moment by moment reliance on Christ can pritect us. If we begin to think we can stand we will surely fall.

  28. 4 And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?

Their is never a waste to give to the Lord. The disciples were indignate because they didn’t understand what the woman was doing, or why? They watched Jesus heal the sick and feed the hungry. Jesus always multiplied and blessed people, He never is wasteful. In Mark 12:44 Jesus comended the widow woman who gave from all she had and not from all that she was blessed with. Offering is to come from the heart, and this womans heart was in the right place. This will be an example to us to use our resources to bless the Kingdom.

  29. “She hath done what she could”. What she had done was recorded for all, just as what Peter had done was also recorded for all; “Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.” As was the kiss of Judas Iscariot, also recorded for all. All the more why one should search self and ask self, what could be recorded of one’s own actions. However one should also search for what is later recorded of Peter. What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  30. vss. 3- 4 And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat , there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spoken very precious ; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.

4 And there were some that had indignation within themselves , and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?

Nothing we ever do for the LORD is a waste. Give HIM your best!!!
Fulfilling GOD’s purpose in our lives may cause some feathers to ruffle, to misunderstand our actions, it might also cause them indigestion , but our
devotion to GOD is our highest calling in life.
May the LORD HELP ME ( us ) to reach that level of prayer and personal devotion where we can hear the still small voice of GOD. This only comes when we shut out the world around us and focus on GOD and HIS mission ,HIS purpose in our life .
JESUS was a man of prayer.
v32″ Sit ye here , while I pray”

“Teach me thy way , O LORD, and lead me in a plain path ” Psalm 27:11

    iPray
    iHear
    iRepent
    iPraise
    iWorship
    i Have Purpose ( HIS WILL )

  31. 27 And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.

Let us not get offended and be united in your name Jesus!

  32. Give it all

3 And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.

We can never be afraid to give it all when The Lord call on us to. He has more than what we give him layed up waiting on us to finish our course.
He that endueth to the end the same shall be saved.
Sometimes you just have to give it all and walk on through.

  33. 72 And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.

His word is true. There is not anywhere in the bible that God lies to someone. When God tells us something about our own lives these things will also come to pass. The only thing that limits God is our unbelief. Lord help my unbelief.

  34. 72 And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.

    Thank you jesus.

  35. Am I leading a rebellion said Jesus that you have come out with swords and clubs to capture me. Every day I was with you teaching in the temple courts and you did not arrested me. But the Scriptures must be fulfilled.

  36. 37 And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour?

38 Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.

39 And again he went away, and prayed, and spake the same words.

40 And when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy,) neither wist they what to answer him.

God asked the 3 diciples 3 times to keep watch and they fell asleep. He said prayer is necessary to avoid temptation because the flesh is weak. He spoke to them with authority and they failed to do as he Requested.

Jesus didn’t have the diciples support when he needed it the most. Lord strengthen me to do your Holy will.

  37. Visitation

7 For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.

There are special seasons of the Lord’s visitation that we will encounter in our walk with Him. Sometimes it is on a personal level, and sometimes larger like on the scale of the congregation or region. The appropriate response to the visitation of the Lord may seem wasteful and not very logical if you do not realize the opportunity at hand, however, the true waste is when we don’t recognize the visitation of the Lord.

    Luke 19:41-44
41 And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,

42 Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.

43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,

44 And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

  38. 3 And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.

What kind of worship will it take to be remembered through out generations and generations. If there is one thing that catches the Lord’s attention is being unique and defying all the prosaic norms. I can recall several examples: the woman with the blood issue pressing through, the man shouting the more and more, “Jesus son of David have mercy on me!” The man small in stature that climbed up a tree to see Jesus. God created us alive passion makes you go beyond what the people may think or say. If there was one thing that drove Jesus is passion. His passion for us that gave himself as ransom. Passion for the kingdom will lead you to give sacrificially, passion will make you worship like never before. Perhaps now west not make it to the bible, but acts of the saints are being written every day and God sees all things. He made me, you and everyone unique to offer Him worship. I want my praise and worship to be remembered by Him.

  39. 4 And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?

Be careful by what you are offended by, for it may be something that the Lord says is good. It may be something that God is telling you to do but you don’t want to do it because of something in your heart that wants to keep it in there because of your own selfish desires. But just let go and let God take control
