Mark 15

1 And straightway in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate.

2 And Pilate asked him, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answering said unto them, Thou sayest it.

3 And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing.

4 And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answerest thou nothing? behold how many things they witness against thee.

5 But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marvelled.

6 Now at that feast he released unto them one prisoner, whomsoever they desired.

7 And there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection.

8 And the multitude crying aloud began to desire him to do as he had ever done unto them.

9 But Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release unto you the King of the Jews?

10 For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy.

11 But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them.

12 And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will ye then that I shall do unto him whom ye call the King of the Jews?

13 And they cried out again, Crucify him.

14 Then Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil hath he done? And they cried out the more exceedingly, Crucify him.

15 And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.

16 And the soldiers led him away into the hall, called Praetorium; and they call together the whole band.

17 And they clothed him with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head,

18 And began to salute him, Hail, King of the Jews!

19 And they smote him on the head with a reed, and did spit upon him, and bowing their knees worshipped him.

20 And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify him.

21 And they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross.

22 And they bring him unto the place Golgotha, which is, being interpreted, The place of a skull.

23 And they gave him to drink wine mingled with myrrh: but he received it not.

24 And when they had crucified him, they parted his garments, casting lots upon them, what every man should take.

25 And it was the third hour, and they crucified him.

26 And the superscription of his accusation was written over, The King Of The Jews.

27 And with him they crucify two thieves; the one on his right hand, and the other on his left.

28 And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, And he was numbered with the transgressors.

29 And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days,

30 Save thyself, and come down from the cross.

31 Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others; himself he cannot save.

32 Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him.

33 And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.

34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

35 And some of them that stood by, when they heard it, said, Behold, he calleth Elias.

36 And one ran and filled a spunge full of vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone; let us see whether Elias will come to take him down.

37 And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.

38 And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.

39 And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.

40 There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;

41 (Who also, when he was in Galilee, followed him, and ministered unto him;) and many other women which came up with him unto Jerusalem.

42 And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath,

43 Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus.

44 And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead: and calling unto him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead.

45 And when he knew it of the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph.

46 And he bought fine linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre.

47 And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses beheld where he was laid.

  1. Yes LORD,
28 And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, And he was numbered with the transgressors.

    John 16:33 (KJV)
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

READY OR NOT HERE HE COMES!!!
We may not like the way things are looking right now in the world, but scripture is going to be fulfilled!!! Whether we are ready or not. I THINK it’s better that we are ready.
PEOPLE GET READY JESUS IS COMING!!! HALELUJAH!!! Thank you JESUS, I LOVE YOU DADDY!!!

  2. 47 And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses beheld where he was laid.

Both Mary’s stayed put where He was laid. How many will there be at HIS return??? Will you be exactly where He will be when He returns?? Or will you be wondering around like a lost sheep, not knowing when his Sheppard will return and call for him. I need to stay close so the moment of His Return will not go unrecognized.

  3. 31. Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others; himself he cannot save.

He could have saved himself at any time, but He loved us so much that He chose to suffer and die for our sins and took the keys from death and hell.

    Revelation 1:18 KJV
I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

  4. 34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

35 And some of them that stood by, when they heard it, said, Behold, he calleth Elias.

36 And one ran and filled a spunge full of vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone; let us see whether Elias will come to take him down.

37 And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.

38 And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.

39 And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.

To late for some, When Jesus cried with a loud voice My God My God why have you forsaken me. Then they gave him vinegar to drink and said let’s see whether Elias will come and save him.
The veil in the temple was rent from the top to the bottom, which now opened the way for all including gentiles to walk into the presence of God. We no longer have to wait once a year for our sins to be rolled forward, but can repent and be baptized and walk into the presence of God. Filled with the Holy Ghost. This could never happen if Jesus had not paid the price for our sins. When this centurion saw what happened he said Truly this was the Son of God. The world will recognize that Jesus Christ is the messiah to late one day when he returns to earth and splits the eastern sky. The saints will rise to meet him, but rest of the world will bow to their knees and recognize him as The Christ.
Too late for so many if they had just listened to the Word of God and obeyed God’s Word!

  5. The beginning of this chapter made me think about giving in. We cannot afford to give in as PIlate did to the crowd. We have to be ready to stand and know what we believe in….Jesus. It is easy to give in and follow the crowd; but, it takes real courage to say “Nope, not today devil…….JESUS today YOU will SAVE me”.

In reading the middle verses of this chapter, we know that Jesus so could have called a whole host of angels and struck everyone of his accusers down; but, he didn’t ……why, because the scriptures had to be fulfilled. He died on the cross to pay for our sins….he loves us (YOU) that much.

The end of the chapter, verse 43 AMP says “Joseph, he of Arimathea, noble and honorable in rank and a respected member of the council (Sanhedrin), who was himself waiting for the kingdom of God, daring the consequences, took courage and ventured to go to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus.” Same verse MSG
“Joseph of Arimathea, a highly respected member of the Jewish Council, came. He was one who lived expectantly, on the lookout for the kingdom of God. Working up his courage, he went to Pilate and asked for Jesus’ body.” We too have to live expectantly, on the lookout; for the scriptures will be fulfilled.

  6. Will you stand for truth, or fall for anything?

And Pilate asked him, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answering said unto him, Thou sayest it. (‭Mark‬ ‭15‬:‭2‬ KJV)

Pilate placed in a position to stand for what he knew of Jesus, to be the messiah. A man persuaded by the crowd.

The same with us, daily we make choices in our lives. Either we continue to stand for what is true which is Christ and His word, or we will give in to what the world is saying or living like.
Let us not be persuaded by the worldly lusts! Remember that The Lord is faithful to His word., hold on to his promises that he has for you. Close your ears, heart, and mind to the naysayers.

But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. (‭Matthew‬ ‭24‬:‭13‬ KJV)

  7. NLT Would you like me to release to you this ‘King of the Jews’?” Pilate asked. 10 (For he realized by now that the leading priests had arrested Jesus out of envy.) 11 But at this point the leading priests stirred up the crowd to demand the release of Barabbas instead of Jesus. 12 Pilate asked them, “Then what should I do with this man you call the king of the Jews?” 13 They shouted back, “Crucify him!”

How easily a crowd can be influenced by a few. The crowd quickly turned against Jesus. We know Jesus died for our sins. But Barabbas can truly say, “Jesus died in my place”. Barabbas knew what it was to have Jesus die on his behalf, the innocent in the place of the guilty.

It seems like our society is embracing more and more, that moral values are not needed anymore. Just like the crowd accepting a thief and murderer in Barabbas, today society accepts the mentality of “acceptance of all social things”.

  8. I remember when I was younger a lesson I had been taught; we had been taught that whenever we sinned it was like we were crucifying Christ all over again. We mustn’t be so selfish that we don’t care about the effects and consequences of our sinful actions. Sometimes we don’t realize that our actions effect more than just ourselves; one we never realize is our Lord. My God loved me so much to chose to not save Himself but rather fulfill scripture and shed His blood for me and save me. Never forget where He brought you from, and how He saved you!

  9. 30 Save thyself, and come down from the cross.

Today I reflect on the humanity of our Lord and how in all that he went through that he chose to stay in the cross.

I don’t know the thoughts that may have gone through his mind as the crowd reviled him that day, but I do know that he made a conscious decision to stay on the cross to bear the price of sin.

I am thankful today for the cross.

  10. “Answerest thou nothing? ”

3 And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing.
4 And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answerest thou nothing? behold how many things they witness against thee.
5 But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marvelled.

You know, there comes a point where it’s best to just not answer. Sometimes it doesn’t matter what you say or do your accuser has his own agenda and will carry out executing you no matter what.

What I am saying is this. Do not allow the enemy or people to stop you from fulfilling even the hardest of missions for God. It would have been easy for someone in the position that Jesus was in to get angry about the accusations and then not carry out dieing for our sins. Understand Jesus Christ died for His accusers just as much for you and I.

It is always best to keep doing right in the face of your enemy than to get mad and waist your energy trying to prove him wrong. Jesus’ life spoke for it’s self and he corrected his accusers many times. Yet at the hardest point of His life “He answered nothing.”

  11. Mark 15:34 (KJV Strong’s)
” 34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?”

In his final moments, at the height of fulfilling the will of God he uttered out my God my God why have you left me, forsaken me?

At the pivotal moment when he needed God the most the man felt forsaken. However there was no doubt a moment where faith took hold.

For just a few seconds the realization of triumph over the enemy and this life he knew he had overcome. Yet he felt forsaken.

Hold on to the very last second even if the last second seems like God has forsaken you. His word will always stand true!

  12. There is no forgiveness without sacrifice. Jesus paid the price for our sins. I have heard this all my life. To this day the magnitude and gravity of what Jesus did still amazes me. How can I do less than my best at any/every thing He asks of me?

God’s love is very personal. It doesn’t matter where we’ve been, it doesn’t matter what we’ve done, it doesn’t matter what we’ve experienced – God loves us. It doesn’t matter what we have thought about ourselves or what other people may have said about us – God loves us.

You are honored, you are precious in His eyes (Isaiah 43:4 – MSG) “Don’t be afraid, I’ve redeemed you. I’ve called your name. You’re mine. When you’re in over your head, I’ll be there with you. When you’re in rough waters, you will not go down. When you’re between a rock and a hard place, it won’t be a dead end—Because I am God, your personal God, The Holy of Israel, your Savior. I paid a huge price for you: all of Egypt, with rich Cush and Seba thrown in! That’s how much you mean to me! That’s how much I love you! I’d sell off the whole world to get you back, trade the creation just for you.

  13. Does he still feel the nails every time I fail?
Lord I pray that you forgive me for every time I have failed you, and help me to turn away from anything holding me back from you. I will never be able to repay you for all that you did and do for me, but I’m going to try by giving you all of me, I give everything I am to you. I commit my life to you. Your praise will continually be in my mouth.

  14. 31. Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others; himself he cannot save.

He died for my sins and I am grateful to have a God that would die on the cross for my sins and rise 3 days later!!😉

  15. iLove to eat the Word

3 And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing.

4 And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answerest thou nothing? behold how many things they witness against thee.

Jesus lays out the perfect example for those who are falsely accused. There is an old saying, “The guilty dog barks first.” Jesus was totally innocent and when a person is that blameless there comes a perfect peace that does not come with the guilty at heart. The fact of the matter is that the silence of Jesus amazed Pilate because he was used to those begging, pleading, and screaming. The majority of the time, when someone is guilty, they immediately go into defence mode and get loud and threatening.

Our God is great and greatly to be praised and His Word is full of great principles.

  16. 27 And with him they crucify two thieves; the one on his right hand, and the other on his left.

28 And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, And he was numbered with the transgressors.

Evety scripture, word and prophesy will come to pass, God does not lie and his word has already stated how this all will end. But I’m not gonna focus on the scarier prophesies so much as I am the promises that say I have power, the ones that say what Christ has done we will do, I am strong, he will go before me and prosper the works of my hands. These I will hold close and watch God gloryify himself and show himself faithful through my life in Jesus name

  17. Wow the Lord wanted no extras to release the pain (vs23 wine and mirth).
What a strong Jesus we have. If he can endure so can I. Thanku Jesus. ILOVE YOU,MY SAVIOUR.

  18. 1 And straightway in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate.

5 But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marveled.

Jesus knew the persecution He was about to face, yet He opened not His mouth. Why is we feel we have to answer everything said to us. If we can study to be quiet sometimes we will save ourselves and others much contention and strife.

    Great message last night Pastor!!!

  19. SAVE YOURSELF

It is a common temptation to man; to SAVE YOURSELF from a painful situation. As I read and rehearsed in my mind this morning the complexity of this historic Spiritual event, I was able to relate only in “like” circumstance, the temptation that is common to man. The temptation being toward the flesh of man, that he could actually being GOD come down from the cross, call down fire from heaven, open the earth to swallow up his persecutors, or any other imaginable event for the man who in himself holds ALL POWER IN HEAVEN AND EARTH.

The great temptation to the flesh is the desire or draw to prove what he could do. However, thanks be to GOD, the man Christ JESUS, understood and accepted his calling and role in time, that to be the atonement for the sins of man eternally he MUST finish the course, and die this painful, gruesome death.

Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

For the JOY that was set before HIM! The JOY of the eternal salvation of mankind.

The flesh has a built in desire to prove himself to humanity. It would have been a demonstration of pride for JESUS to SAVE HIMSELF from his destiny. In saving himself, others would still be lost without hope. The display of discipline on the cross and the denial of self in the face of temptation to prove those arrogant soldiers wrong, had an eternal price tag. JESUS chose not to SAVE HIMSELF.

His decision opened the Kingdom to all of humanity:

37 And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.
38 And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.
39 And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.

Now every living soul has the opportunity to access the throne of GOD. The Kingdom and throne of GOD is accessible to all that desire and follow the path to access this throne that was previously accessed only by the High Priest.

Consider the cause and purpose of your suffering, if it possess eternal progress and salvation for others. Ignore the temptation to defend yourself and SAVE YOURSELF. Others could be saved as the result of our decision to SUFFER with HIM.

2Timothy 2:12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  20. The Romans resreved crucifixion for criminals and slaves. The cross was usally a pole fixed in the ground with a detached crossbar. Jesus carred the crossbar to the execution ground and nailed to the assembled T shaped insturment.

  21. 10 For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy.

The entire crucifixion was an escalation of envy. The same envy Lucifer had for God. The light that he shone to the Lord in praise and worship, he desired for himself. When Jesus died the enemy didn’t snuff out His fire. In fact, Jesus gave us access to His Holy Ghost fire and handed us the keys to the kingdom. The keys to share with those who seek life and not death. When Jesus died the veil was torn that hung above the holy of holies. Freedom in His marvelous light is here and the enemy is so desperately trying to turn it off.

    Jesus says:
Marr 5: 14Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

    Paul says:
2 Cor 13And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: 14But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. 15But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. 16Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away. 17Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty

  22. v15. And so Pilate willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered JESUS, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.

Wow! Rejection of the very ONE WHO had and hadsthe power to deliver.
Pilate was in big need of some backbone.
He was a cowardly man who cared more about the opinion of the crowds than he did about JESUS CHRIST. He was more concerned about looking goofy good to the people and maintaining his position of authority and popularity at all cost.
Wow!!!! That decision must have haunted Pilate for the rest of his life . All because he wrestled over TRUTH.
v 2 ” Art thou the King of the Jews”

JESUS stood that day as the scapegoat
the Lamb of GOD who takes away the sins of the world, and Barabbas stood that day as the type for all sinners. Freedom stands for us all all.
We were no better off than he was. We were all destined to eternal death on hell, but JESUS demonstrated mercy and grace
    and took our place.

    i Choose Truth
    iRepent
    iPray
    iPraise

  23. Some times we want God so much we want to just feel him! There’s a hunger inside when we think we really need him. We can’t go on unless he’s saves us. We feel like he has forgotten about us. But he hasn’t forgotten about us nor will he ever will. If we will just be patient and fight the good fight Jesus will come through right on time. Amen.

And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” which is translated, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” (‭Mark‬ ‭15‬:‭34‬ NKJV)

  24. 2 And Pilate asked him, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answering said unto them, Thou sayest it.
3 And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing.

    Approach

Could it be that for the same reason that the priests didn’t receive their answer, is the same reason we don’t so many time? Could it be that we come in accusing, or full of pride, and because we do, Jesus will not answer?

Let’s take it even a step further, could it be the very thought that because of the lack of humility when we ask of Jesus, He simply doesn’t answer. When the devil tempted Jesus, He answered with the Word. Being tempted He responded with His Word. Had He been accused, He might not have answered…

Don’t forget the devil is the accuser of the brethren, and we become like him if we accuse when we question.

  25. There are times i take for granted and when i first started coming my flesh was and still is fighting against things.i made worldly things my idol and did things i wish i could take back but then i look back at my past and im actually thankful it happened because of it i can help many others who are struggling or is fighting against going back because of it god turned me into something i thought id never be because of it my struggles and pain became my scars and turned into a story of a never ending testimony that could reach out to many others.
LORD YOUR AMAZINGLY AWESOME THANKFUL FOR EVERYTHING YOUR DOING FOR NOT ONLY ME BUT MY FAMILY FRIENDS AND MANY MORE
    I love you daddy ❤

  26. 4 And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answerest thou nothing? behold how many things they witness against thee.

5 But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marveled.
People are going to accuse you sometimes of things you didn’t do, but I have found out that sometimes it is best to just walk away and let the truth come out when all is said and done! The way we live our life and the things we say and do will be our testimony!! I hope that mine says I’m a child of the King!!

  27. “Truly this man was the Son of God.” Their blindness and deafness allowed them to mock, beat and crucify Jesus (God in the flesh) all before they realized what they had done. The deceiver (satan) is still at work today, which is why one must prepare (read the word, pray and heed the man of God) elsewise one could also be blinded or deafened (a true man of God will use all of the word and encourage one too study all of the word of God). What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  28. This chapter makes me so THANKFUL for ALL JESUS has done for me. He was a man who knew no sin, yet he was scourged, had a crown of thorns plaited on his head, smote, spit upon, mocked and crucified. All so I could be made free from sin and have life and have it more abundantly. Thank You JESUS for nailing my sins to the cross and for your blood that covers me.

Makes me think of the song, “When I think about the Lord.”
When I think about the Lord,
How he saved me, how he raised me,
How he filled me, with the Holy Ghost.
How he heals me, to the uttermost.

When I think about the Lord,
How he picked me up and turned me around,
How he placed my feet on solid ground.

    Makes me wanna Shout,
    HALLELUJAH,
    Thank You, JESUS,
LORD, your worthy, of all the glory, and all the honor,
    And all the praise.

    Makes me wanna, Shout.

  29. Praise the Lord, Jesus did not call ten thousand angels as he could have done, but chose to die on a cross for all those that would believe.

  30. Oh the blood of Jesus. He is my Saviour. He saved the whole world yet many do not want him. For all that he did for us. Let us remember all that he has done from then till now. From generation to generation.

  31. Lead Me To The Cross

39 And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.

The centurion identified Jesus not through His resurrection but His death. People will recognize Christ in us by our willingness to die to self. James gives an example:

    James 1:26
If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.

Some people will seem religious until it comes time to crucify the flesh. Religious activity can be pleasing to the flesh and cater more to us than Jesus when we dictate it. However, James gives an illustration here that references the infilling of God’s Spirit. James later teaches in chapter 3 about how the Holy Ghost “tames the untamable” tongue of man, revealing that a controlled tongue reflects the operation of the Holy Ghost in a person’s life. It’s possible to put up a front about religious activity, but it’s in the true death to self that Jesus will be revealed as being alive in us.

  32. 4 And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answerest thou nothing? behold how many things they witness against thee.

5 But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marvelled

Once Jesus had decided in the garden of Gesthemane that God’s will be done and not his own, he doesn’t try to defend himself. He had already faced and won that battle. Not only would he endure the torment & pain of the cross, he would endure the lies, the mocking and assault on his godly character. Even Pilate marveled at him. Pilate no doubt has heard prisoners plead and beg, deny charges and profess innocence – yet he sees an innocent man allow the false charges to stand.

Jesus’ example of facing the worst will forever be our example of mercy & grace in action.

  33. And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.

God have gone thru so much for our sins . Thanks you Jesus for choosing us to serve you!

  34. 29 And those who passed by kept reviling Him and reproaching Him abusively in harsh and insolent language, wagging their heads and saying, Aha! You Who would destroy the temple and build it in three days,
30 Now rescue [f]Yourself [[g]from death], coming down from the cross!
31 So also the chief priests, with the scribes, made sport of Him to one another, saying, He rescued others [[h]from death]; Himself He is unable to rescue. (AMP)

People mocked him then and people mock him now. We need to pray for those who don’t believe in the power and promises of God. Even though many may deny his coming and say “where is his promise.” It is more near now than ever….God is a God of promise and what is said will be done, Help us Jesus draw people closer to you for your kingdom. You died for me for I will serve and worship you till the end. Thank you Jesus IN YOU I TRUST!!!

  35. This is a horrible way to treat our savior, but how many of us treat him like thus daily? How many of us are willing to only give him a little time? How many are saying, if your the almighty God then why don’t you just stop Ebola? Prove it by saving your people!
We need to stp and think of how Jesus has changed our lives. We need to be great flu for his mercy that he showers on us. We need to realize that he is still God and he doesn’t change even when we doubt or have little faith.

  36. 39. So when the centurion, who stood opposite Him, saw that He cried out like this and breathed His last, he said.” Truly this Man was the Son of God!”
Probably this centurion was the same that asked Jesus to heal his servant , he had received the miracle but he was not converted his mind about who Jesus was until he listen his last words and last breath!
    Testimony makes believers!

  37. 25 And it was the third hour, and they crucified him.

26 And the superscription of his accusation was written over, The King Of The Jews.

The price has been paid, the blood of the Lamb shed, and where the accusation of the enemy becomes more alive than ever. The King of the Jews not only arises and comes in all power but as King of kings and Lord of lords. He is coming in all dominion and power and victory will be His. King of all nations Jesus!

  38. Sometimes, it is best to remain silent…………..there is a time & season for everything! Ecclesiastes 3:7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

5 But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marvelled.

    “……………”……………………………………………………………………………………….

  39. 37 And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.

38 And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.

39 And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for loving us. Thank you for the gift and power of the Holy Ghost. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to come to you. Thank you for Blood Sacrifice . Lord Jesus, praise be to the ONE TRUE GOD! Hallelujah!!

  40. Jesus Crucified !! 22. And they bring him unto the place Gol’- go- tha, which is, being interpreted, The place of a skull. 23. And they gave him to drink wine mingled with myrrh: but he received it not. Matt. 27 : 34 24. And when they had crucified him, they parted his garments, casting lots upon them, what every man should take. 25. And it was the third hour, and they crucified him. Matt. 27 : 45 26. And the superscription of his accusation was written over, THE KING OF THE JEWS. THANK YOU JESUS FOR DEATH, BURIAL, AND RESURRECTION !!!!

  41. 34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
35 And some of them that stood by, when they heard it, said, Behold, he calleth Elias.
36 And one ran and filled a spunge full of vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone; let us see whether Elias will come to take him down.
37 And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.

Thank you jesus for what you have done.
