Luke 24

1 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.

2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.

3 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.

4 And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:

5 And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?

6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,

7 Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

8 And they remembered his words,

9 And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest.

10 It was Mary Magdalene and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles.

11 And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not.

12 Then arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre; and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which was come to pass.

13 And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.

14 And they talked together of all these things which had happened.

15 And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.

16 But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.

17 And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?

18 And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?

19 And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:

20 And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.

21 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.

22 Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;

23 And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.

24 And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.

25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:

26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?

27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

28 And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further.

29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.

30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.

31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.

32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

33 And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them,

34 Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.

35 And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread.

36 And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

37 But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.

38 And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?

39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

40 And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.

41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?

42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.

43 And he took it, and did eat before them.

44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

48 And ye are witnesses of these things.

49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

50 And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.

51 And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.

52 And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:

53 And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

  1. 29. But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.

    30. And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.

    31. And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.

    32. And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

    33. And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them,

    Motivation
In verse 29, they were saying how late it was and how there was no need to travel farther that evening…but by verse 33, after spending some time with Jesus, they were motivated to go all the way back to Jerusalem to tell what had happened. Let’s spend some time with Jesus and not let our motivation fade away.

  2. 31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him;…
41 And while they yet believed not…

Some people believe in the Word faster than others. We must be patient and diligent to continue to present the Gospel to those around us.

  3. 1 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.

He is risen!! Yes Jesus told them over and over, destroy this body and in 3 days I will raise it again. The tomb cannot hold me!
Jesus Christ rose from the dead, after he paid a price for our sins. I am so glad of the power of God to raise Jesus from the dead. We can now have our sins forgiven and live a life free from sin.

  4. Believe other saints in Jesus Name….

Sometimes when a sister tells me something I take it to heart the wrong way. But they are looking out for my soul and are keeping Jesus’s commands. Alot of people think woman dont know what they’re talking about women and men alike. Lord forgive me for not hearing a child of Yours. I will listen to You and then Your servant. We are all of the same faith in Jesus Christ.

Be of good cheer for I give you peace, love and a sound mind…Jesus.

10 It was Mary Magdalene and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles.

11 And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not.

  5. God’s not dead! Verse 5 CEV “The women were afraid and bowed to the ground. But the men said, “Why are you looking in the place of the dead for someone who is alive?” My God’s not dead he is surely alive!

  6. Presence and Presents

    Luke 24:30-31 (KJV Strong’s)
” 30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. 31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.”

Luke 24:33-34 (Amplified Bible – AMP)
“33 And rising up that very hour, they went back to Jerusalem, where they found the Eleven [apostles] gathered together and those who were with them,
34 Who said, The Lord really has risen and has appeared to Simon (Peter)!”

What an indictment against the disciples of Jesus. They walked down the road and spoke with him. Due to his visage being marred above any man they did not recognize him.

However as they heard him speak their hearts burned within them.

Yet it wasn’t until he blessed, and broke the bread that they knew it was him. Nobody blessed the bread like Jesus.

This reveals something about these disciples.

They knew him for the miracles but not for his presence. They knew his presents but not his presence.

Although, Jesus had spent time with Peter. He told him he had the keys to the kingdom. He told him he would build his church on the revelation of who Jesus is. He spoke to Peter daily, and daily Peter heard his words. For over three years he fellowshipped with Christ.

Yet he, Simon Peter, only really knew him for the miracles, and not for his presence.

The most valuable commodity we have is prayer. Our devotion time with God strengthens, refreshes, and helps us to be led by him.

Prayer doesn’t change God’s mind. It changes us. Yet we must be in the prayer for the right reasons. Jesus said whatever we ask he would do it. Later the word explains the stipulations for that prayer.

    James 4:3 (NIV)
” 3 When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.”

We must die to self, die to flesh, and die to our will so that his purpose, plan, and will are fulfilled. This can only be accomplished through spending time in his presence.

    Revelation 3:20 (Weymouth New Testament)
” 20 I am now standing at the door and am knocking. If any one listens to My voice and opens the door, I will go in to be with him and will feast with him, and he shall feast with Me.”

Keep the door open and invite him in. Shut the door so he can’t get out, and spend time with him!

There is only one thing you have that you can give to God, and there is only one thing that God wants from you.

    YOU

  7. 11 And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not.

I was once told actions speak louder than words. if you only speak the truth but not put it into actions, then no one will believe you as did the apostles to the women. peter put forth actions to see if it was truth.

12 Then arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre; and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which was come to pass.

  8. 45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

It is a marvelous thing to have understanding of the Word. Praying before reading the blog brings to life the Word. Asking the Lord to reveal His Word to us, expecting and looking for the new revelation is exciting.

  9. HOW REVELATION COMES

30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.
31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.

Revelation or the revealing of something is a wonderful thing to witness and even more fulfilling to experience. I always anticipate revelation into the things of GOD. For me it is a daily quest for REVELATION.

REVELATION – a usually secret or surprising fact that is made known: an act of making something known : an act of revealing something in usually a surprising way.

In verse 31 we witness the REVELATION of JESUS is ALIVE to these 2 disciples. What I found interesting is that it happened when JESUS took, blessed, brake and gave them food. The words he spoke were familiar words to the disciples.

The Miracle of PROVISION to the hungry

Mark 6:41 And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all.

    The LAST SUPPER with JESUS

Mark 14:22 And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.

All 3 illustrations include unbelief, food and prayer. To further support this principal, consider:

42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
43 And he took it, and did eat before them.
44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

HOW REVELATION COMES is through our fellowship with JESUS, as we EAT This BOOK we gain revelation and insight into the plan, will and mind of GOD. Fall in LOVE with the WORD of GOD, eat IT, breathe IT, think IT, believe IT, speak IT, obey IT.

  10. THE FRUIT OF REVELATION

52 And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:
53 And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

This passage reveals to me as Pastor who and who is not spending time with JESUS in HIS WORD.

Following REVELATION comes GREAT JOY! Great JOY produces POWERFUL worship services in the Church.

EAT This BOOK and watch the POWER level of the worship services at The POFW escalate.

  11. 5 And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?

6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,

7 Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

8 And they remembered his words,

My God’s not dead! For not even the grave could contain the mighty God I serve!

  12. You cant find a risen savior in a dead place!

45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

Many forgot his words in their moments of grief. Their understanding was clouded by sorrow.

I thank God that in times of grief and sorrow I have the comforter to keep me. We will all have seasons of sorrow and grief but He keeps us in perfect peace when we keep our mind on him.

I cannot speak for everyone but I have learned for myself that it is better to not always try to understand the situation but understand the God that controls the universe.

Lord, I want to know you more!

  13. 46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Jesus rose on the third day, he appeared to the disciples and were surprised to see him alive and well. It takes faith to believe Jesus is alive, the disciples saw him but couldn’t believe it even when he was right in from of them.

Jesus blessed the disciples and asked them to preach in his name to all nations beginning in Jerusalem repentance and remission of sin for it is written.

  14. While they were still taking about this Jesus himself stood among them and said to them Peace be with you. They were startled and frightened thinking they saw a ghost. He said to them. Why are you troubled and why do doubts rise in your minds? Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself. Touch me and see a ghost doesn’t have flesh and bones as you see I have.

  15. Sometimes during times of grief and trouble, such as all these people in this chapter at the loss of Jesus, we too forget the word He may have previously spoken. But we must always remember what He has promised us and what His word has said. We often get caught up in the trouble and forget where our help comes from; I know my help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth, with Him I know I am always safe.

  16. 46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
This passage is a great Jesus name passage that emphasizes that repentence and remission of sins (baptism) shoud be preached in HIS name begginning in Jerusalem. Before this time repentance and remission ( baptism) was by John the Baptist but now after the death of Jesus and the tearing of the veil we now have direct acess to God through Jesus and no longer are we baptized through John the baptist but in the NAME OF JESUS!!

  17. 44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

Two things right here, even the Psalms are prophetic…

Only Jesus , the Holy Spirit in us today, can revel the mysteries of the Word to us today…

  18. 52 And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:

worship will bring you back to the hills of peace and fill you with joy

  19. I SERVE A LIVING GOD!!!!

4 And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:
5 And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?

The first thing that stood up at me was: WHY SEEK YE THE LIVING AMONG THE DEAD???
My God Lives, I serve a God that is ALIVE!!!! Everything in this world is temporary and will die but not my God… You have a problem all you have to do is speak to it, call on the name of the LIVE GOD JESUS!!! He will breath LIFE into any situation. HE LIVES!!!! MY GOD LIVES!!!!!!!

  20. “And they remembered his words”. Their present season had hindered their memory, until what God (Jesus) had said was remembered. No matter how it may appear one must remember what the word of God, and what the man of God says, shall happen. As such one should praise him (Jesus) for his words, now! What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!
    ahoo

  21. 46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

48 And ye are witnesses of these things.

49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

Acts 2:2-4 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.

  22. 5, “… Why seek ye the living among the dead?”
6, “He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,”
7, “Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.”

Romans 4:25 says, “Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.”

Romans 6:3-11 says, “Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we be dead with Chirst, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Jesus overcame sin, death, and the grave. He is not a God of the dead, but of the living. When we repent, get baptized in Jesus Name, and are filled with the Holy Ghost, we become dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God. He becomes the God of our heart and lives, and this is when we really start living.

  23. And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. (‭Luke‬ ‭24‬:‭49‬ KJV)

God is faithful, and He fulfills all his promises.
We see here as the very desciples had a hard time to believe.  They were sadden because of what had happened and this is the same way that many of us may feel today.  What does the bible say, and what promises are there for you in your need?  I am so thankful and joyful that the promise of the Holy Ghost is given to us.  One thing that just jumped in my mind is how God reminds of His beautiful faithfulness every time we pray in fills us with His Spirit.  What promise are you waiting on?  Can you now believe the Word and His promises every time you pray through and are filled with His Spirit evidenced by speaking in tongues know for sure that is a promised fulfilled and that should be a reminder that as just as you are getting filled you will be answered on the prayer for the promise that you are standing on.  It takes faith to recieve the Holy Ghost so as it takes to get your promise.  When you pray to God in tongues it should be the reminder of God’s faithfulness to His promises.  Our prayers should be that he opens our understanding to the scriptures and reveal Himself to us in the middle of every situation in the middle of our lives.

  24. He is here.

16 But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.

I have myself in this position. Not knowing what to do yet Jesus was always there with me. The best example is when my dad pasted away. I didn’t know what to do. I felt lost. Hopeless. Helpless. Yet through it all Jesus was right there. Even though I didn’t see him or sometimes feel him. I knew he was there. When we go through life’s tests and trials. Just know God is there.

  25. 25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:

If God said it was going to happen then why don’t you believe him. God can’t lie.

  26. iLove to eat the Word

15 And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.

16 But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.

As I studied these scriptures this morning, I ran out of time to comment. The amazing thing in this scripture is the ability of the supernatural realm to cover the eyes of those in the physical realm. In this particular passage it is the Lord that covers or “Holdens” the eyes of the disciples. In other scriptures, it is the enemy that blinds the minds of the people.

    New Living Translation
“satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:4

The Word of God, in this chapter is walking and talking to the disciples and penetrates their hearts. Their hearts were burning while their eyes and minds are blind.

    Hebrews 4:12
    (12) For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

The Word will always penetrate the heart first. What a person does with that burning in their hearts will determine whether they will see or not. Continual ignoring of the heart will cause the heart to harden and sight will be almost impossible.

2 Corinthians 3:14 But the people’s minds were hardened, and to this day whenever the old covenant is being read, the same veil covers their minds so they cannot understand the truth. And this veil can be removed only by believing in Christ. 15Yes, even today when they read Moses’ writings, their hearts are covered with that veil, and they do not understand.

16But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.

  27. 5 And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?

6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,

My God is not dead he’s alive.😉

  28. 45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

Everything we do in word & deed-do all in the name of Jesus! Baptism is in his name! Jesus had to open his disciples eyes -even after traveling and learning from for 3 years. We also need to pray for revelation of his word. Anointed preaching, teaching and reading is what we must have to understand…then hide his word in our hearts so that we do not sin against him!

  29. A body made of flesh

42 They gave Him a piece of a broiled fish; 43 and He took it and ate it before them
    (Luke 24:42-43 NASBStr)

Jesus was in the flesh and ate food. We will be made like Him. In heaven, we will be able to eat and drink as well. We will not be ghosts. Can’t wait for the marriage supper of the Lamb!

  30. He is risen

5 And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?

6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,

If your looking for Jesus you have to look up. He’s not in a dark low place.
He’s not going to be found in depressions or holes. If you really seek him you will need to look no longer in the pit. He is above. He is over. He is risen. When you seek him lift him up and be lifted up with him and there you will find him.

    Psalms 24:
7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

  31. 49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

Tarry for the promise. It’s so easy to expect a promise to show up immediately but sometimes we have to wait for it. Tarry means to linger in expectation or to abide or stay in or at a place. We can expect a promise from God to come to pass but if we give up and walk away we miss out on what God has for us.

  32. Disappointment, sadness and confusion reign in the lives of Jesus’ two followers as they travel down the road. They must be wrestling with the horrifying events of the last few days- and the astounding report of Jesus’ ressurection. They explain that they g ad hoped Jesus woyld “redeem” Israel (vs 21). A literal translation of the word “redeemed” is “set free.” These two men long for Jesus to establish a physical kingdom, to throw off the strangling Roman rule and to free Israel. However, they have a shortsided view of what Jesus ultimately has accomplished. He not only establishes a kingdom over which will reign then, now, and forever but for those who respond to his offer of freedom, he also removes sin’s stranglehold and frees them to become citizens of his spiritual kingdom. He redeems us in a way that still stuns and awes us with his Holy Ghost today.

  33. 30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.
we are to bless our food before we eat always. If we can’t pray over our food and thank God for that what makes us think God will bless us with bigger things? Thank God for the same things and he will bless us with bigger things.

  34. And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? (‭Luke‬ ‭24‬:‭5‬ KJV)

So many times we go looking for JESUS is dead places. We can’t find him in this dead world. We can’t find him in some dead church. We can’t find him in some dead saints, the ones that are still breathing. Why not?— because he is alive. We MUST look for JESUS among the living! We can find him by looking among those repented, JESUS name baptized, Holy Ghost filled saints that get out there and DO SOMETHING in the kingdom. You know, the ones that don’t just look like a wart sitting on a frog. We can find him in a church that diligently seeks after himwith prayer, fasting, and Bible reading, loves people with the love of Christ, and applies the Bible to their daily walk with Jesus.

Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. (‭Matthew‬ ‭22‬:‭36-40‬ KJV)

  35. v. 6″ He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee,

The resurrection reveals that death is not final, for JESUS CHRIST conquered death, hell, and the grave.
    Thank you JESUS!!!

  36. 25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:

This is how we act sometimes when all we have to do is BELIEVE!!!! Believe is the remedy to get what we have prayed for….

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Mark 11:24

IN YOU I TRUST JESUS!!!! I am so thankful and grateful that you died on the cross for me. You created me to worship and praise you and this is what I’m going to do Jesus in the good and the bad. No matter the trail I am going thru you are always there and will always be there because of my BELIEVE!!! I am a conqueror 🙂

  37. Expectations

1 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.

2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.

What do we come expecting? Death? Or the promises of God? No matter what we walk through in life, we must keep our trust and faith in God. When we allow His promises to be alive in us, we can take hold of resurrection power that conquers the power of death and unlocks the abundance of life in Christ.

    John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

  38. Stone rolled away !!!! 1. NOW upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulcher, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. Matt. 28 : 1 Luke 23 : 56 2. And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulcher. 3. And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Je’-sus. 4. And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: 5. And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? 6. He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Gal’-I-lee, 7. Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. I Love You Jesus !!!! You are the lifter of my head !!!! Praise ye the Lord !!!! You are Holy !!!! Your Majesty !!!! Thank you for saving my soul !!!!

  39. As they sat down to eat, he took the bread and blessed it. Then he broke it and gave it to them. Suddenly, their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And at that moment he disappeared! (‭Luke‬ ‭24‬:‭30-31‬ NLT)

Sometimes God has to break some things or some people in order to get their attention and show them truth.

  40. Then He [thoroughly] opened up their minds to understand the Scriptures, (‭Luke‬ ‭24‬:‭45‬ AMP)

My prayer is that He would continually open up my mind to understand the Scriptures.

He replied, “You are permitted to understand the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven, but others are not. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them. (‭Matthew‬ ‭13‬:‭11-12‬ NLT)
