John 1

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

18 No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

19 And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?

20 And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.

21 And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.

22 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?

23 He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.

24 And they which were sent were of the Pharisees.

25 And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?

26 John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;

27 He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe’s latchet I am not worthy to unloose.

28 These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.

29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

30 This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.

31 And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.

32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.

33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.

35 Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;

36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!

37 And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.

38 Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?

39 He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.

40 One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.

41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.

42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

43 The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.

44 Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.

45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.

47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!

48 Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.

50 Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.

51 And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

  1. v43 The following day Jesus wanted to go to Galilee, and He found Philip and said to him, ” Follow Me.”

JESUS is still seeking and calling for whosoever will take up his cross and follow HIM.
To follow JESUS requires a step of faith and trust in HIS WORD as we submit to HIS WILL
Believing and trusting that HE will keep us in HIS love and care no matter the sacrifice and even sometimes suffering for
    HIS precious NAME.

    iWill Follow JESUS
    iSubmitt
    iBelieve
    iTrust

  2. The Word !!!! 1. IN the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Prov. 8 : 22 2. The same was in the beginning with God. Gen. 1 : 1 3. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. John 5 : 26 5. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 6. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. JESUS YOU ARE HIGH AND LIFTED UP IN MY HEART !!!! I AM VICTORIOUS !!!!

  3. HAVE YOU SHARED CHRIST WITH SOME ONE TODAY??????

Philip found Jesus and could not wait to share Him with his friend Nathanael. I wonder if it was Nathanael the first person Philip ran into or did he think deep in his mind…”wait a minute I have to tell this to Nathanael, he has been waiting for the Messiah all this time”…or was it a chance encounter. I guess it does not matter, the fact remains that PHILIP COULD NOT CONTAIN THE GREAT NEWS, he had to go tell it. It should be the same with us. We should be able to go and tell EVERYONE we encounter about JESUS!!!! He should be our favorite subject of conversation. Tell others what He has done for us. For what He has done for me He will do for you. HE PAID THE PRICE. He paid it in full, life everlasting is what He offers. He forgave ALL MY SINS as far is the east is from the west. That simple…GO TELL IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHARE SALVATION EVERYWHERE YOU GO. TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION, NOW IS THE TIME.

  4. 36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!

    BEHOLD THE LAMB OF GOD!!!!

Many in that day thought Jesus was an imposter or just a good prophet.
John being a follower of God knew immediately when he saw him that he was the Messiah. The lamb that God had sent to the world to give them the power to overcome their sins.
Some of John’s disciples left and begin to follow Jesus, Andrew Simon Peter’s brother. Jesus was here to deliver people from their sins.
Thank God for the lamb of God, that can take away the sins of the people. People are still coming out to discredit Jesus as the Christ. I saw an article yesterday that a book was written to say Jesus and Mary Magdalene had two children together. Not supported by the word of God, Jesus was God manifested in the flesh, you will never see another. It is all in Jesus, all in him, Thank God for a revelation of Jesus Christ.

  5. 12. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

You can have power, but to receive the power, you must receive the Name of the One who holds the power. If you reject His Name, you have rejected Him. There is power in the Name of Jesus!

  6. Verses 1-5 MSG “The Word was first, the Word present to God, God present to the Word. The Word was God, in readiness for God from day one. Everything was created through him; nothing—not one thing!—came into being without him. What came into existence was Life, and the Life was Light to live by. The Life-Light blazed out of the darkness; the darkness couldn’t put it out.”

Same verses NLT “In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.”

In chapter 8 of John verse 12 in the MSG version, the caption reads “You’re Missing God in All This” and the verse says “Jesus once again addressed them: “I am the world’s Light. No one who follows me stumbles around in the darkness. I provide plenty of light to live in.” If you feel like your stumbling around in the darkness of this world, like you don’t fit in anywhere, guess what???? Your missing something….God!

  7. 47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!
48 Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.
49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel
.50 Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.
51 And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

Before we were called God knew exactly where we were. Before we even knew him or knew that we would meet him he already had plans for us. When we believe and stretch our faith we will see the glory of God unfold right before our eyes

  8. 29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Behold the Lamb of God!! The only way, truth, and light; He had come to bring salvation to all those who seek after Him. Wow! What a mighty and worthy God!

  9. Jn 1:32-34 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him. And I knew him not:but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.

There is a definite sign that you are born of your parents. Usually the Doctor sees you first as he is delivering you from your mother. There is pain associated with birth, it is miraculous in its happening. Nine months of pregnancy, and preparation precede the birth. Then a beautiful newborn that must be talked to, comforted, and nourished is come into the world.

There is also a definite spiritual sign that one is born into the kingdom of God. The mother must carry the child, there must be travail, and then a delivery. Then the child must be nourished, comforted, held, and taught.

The same way that Jesus was confirmed is the way new born babies are confirmed. There is baptism in water, and a voice cries out “this is my beloved son.” The spirit bears witness to this crying Abba, Father.

Now the work begins. Playtime, diaper changes, mess clean ups, nurturing, feeding, sleeping, napping, affection.

Constant supervision. Any parent knows this list is much bigger, and grows.

Our newborn babes in the church need the same things. We must work with them, help them, feed them, nurture them, care for them, and encourage them. Clean up messes, forgive quickly, and love immensely.

  10. 48 Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.
Jesus sees each of us and knows exactly where we are. Yielding ourselves to his will is what is best. He is calling each of us to fulfill his purpose in our lives.

  11. 29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Now behold the lamb that was born into sin that we may live again! Thank you Jesus for the precious Lamb of God!

  12. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. (‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭5‬ NKJV)

The darkness doesn’t want to see the light nor do they want even try to understand it. They world is full of darkness a lot of people run from the truth and light.

Jesus answered and said to him, “Because I said to you, ‘I saw you under the fig tree,’ do you believe? You will see greater things than these.” (‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭50‬ NKJV)

    You havnt seen nothing yet!

  13. 50 Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.

    We haven’t seen nothing yet.

If we think we’ve seen it all. Not even close. Our church has been blessed to see many great things. Yet it doesn’t compare to what is about to happen.

  14. 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

Just as John was the forerunner of the Christ, we have been chosen to bear witness of the coming of this same Messiah. Also recognize that he did not take glory for himself. He represented the light, but he always pointed everything to the one coming after him. We too must point everything to Jesus. He is the one who receives all the glory.

  15. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

I really enjoy the comparisons between darkness and light. Most rooms in a home have darkness (shadows). No matter how many lights or their brightness of the bulbs, if there are objects in the room there likely will be shadows. Light is the dominant force. Light pierces the darkness.

Imagine for a moment a completely dark room; no visible light. Now, suppose there is a light bulb in the ceiling in the center of the room. Turn on the light with the faintest flicker of power. That light can be seen from everywhere. The more power is supplied to the light the more the darkness is defeated. The same experiment does not work in opposite direction. If the room is completely filled with light and a shadow is introduced it not only not perceived but in most cases not even visible.

When we are focused on the light and we close our eyes we can still see the image of the light in complete darkness. The same goes for Jesus. If our focus is set on Jesus, in the event we are tested with completely darkness we can still see the Lord; just in a different way.

  16. THE CHAPTER THAT BRINGS JOY

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

On Monday the LORD revealed that REVELATION brings JOY. Today in John Chapter 1 we find the greatest REVELATION of the New Testament, that JESUS is GOD! The 4 verses above have brought me MORE JOY than possibly any other in the WORD of GOD, due to the REVELATION of SALVATION in the name of JESUS.

Knowing that when we pray to the Father, we are praying to JESUS who holds all POWER in Heaven and in earth. Knowing that there is ONE NAME to call on in times of need. Knowing that GOD loves me enough to become frail like me to save me and show me the way to overcome sin and forgive transgressors.

I am forever thankful for the REVELATION of who JESUS is.

Ephesians 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, = JESUS

John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

There is POWER in the name of JESUS!

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  17. In the beginning was the word and the word was with GOd and the word was God. He was with GOd in the beginning. Though him all things were made without him nothing was made . In him was life and life was the light of all mankind.

  18. Baptized in the Name….Jesus!

    Vs31/
We that are baptized in Jesus Name, are not only have Jesus’ Name over our spirit but By His Spirit.

Thankyou Lord, for baptizing me in Your Holy Name and Your Glory and presence in my life also.
    Bless You Lord.

  19. 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
I’m thankful for the Word !! I’m Thankful for a God that loved me enough to save me and to give me His word to use as a map to go by to get to Heaven! I want to hold the word close to my heart do that it can’t be stolen from me, because it is my way out of this sinful world!

  20. 25 And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?

    26 John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;

27 He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe’s latchet I am not worthy to unloose.
John had such a special calling. He recognized that he was not the Christ but did everything he could to promote Jesus’s coming. He like Jesus was conceived of the Holy Ghost he like Jesus preached he like Jesus had people baptized in his name. but he understood he was there to prepare the way for Jesus not to be Jesus… That’s why Jesus said there was not a greater man born of a woman than John the Baptist.

  21. 47. Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said of him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whim is no deceit!”

Beautiful testimony about Nathanael from Jesus before men.
He was not aware of his conduct to be seen for others, he just wanted to be right with God, doing was just supposed to do it, or be.
The Lord himself is going to declare in plane light whatever with do.

Matthew 5:29 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matthew 6:6 ” But you when, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly’

  22. 4, “In him was life; and the life was the light of men.”
5, “And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”

Eph. 5:8 says, “For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:”
Col. 1:12-13 says, “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:”
1Peter 2:9 says, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, and holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.”

His LIFE is my LIGHT!! JESUS living inside of me makes my life a whole lot Brighter. Thank You JESUS that you delivered and called us out of darkness and into your MARVELLOUS LIGHT.

  23. “For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.” What was given by Moses was final. What came by God (Jesus), allowed one to repent, change and make ready for one’s own finale. What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  24. His, from the beginning of time.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭12-13‬ KJV)

We were made for greatness in His kingdom! We are not to be weak defeated Christians. But powerful, anointed men and women of GOD!! You got to be sick and tired feeling defeated, or nothing is going your way, sucking your thumb feeling as if everyone you know is against you. Where’s your sword at, are you not filled with the power of the Holy Ghost?!!
If so, or you say you are use that power to fight the sly devil, which has no power over you. And if he does….. Well you’ve given him that power over every core of your being!
Pray the word of The Lord into and over your family and life.

    Not today devil!!!!

JESUS TODAY, YOU WILL SAVE ME!!!!

  25. vs 14
    The Living Bible Paraphrasd
And Christ became a human being and lived here on earth among us and was full of loving forgiveness and truth. And some of us have seen his-glory of the Son of our Father.

  26. In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. (‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬ NLT)

God is the word and the word is God. If God can’t lie then the bible can’t lie because the word is God.

  27. iLove to eat the Word

(I must start writing these for breakfast instead of supper.)

As I read the blog this morning, the impression that I received the greatest was, “In him was life; and the life was the light of men.5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”

The Word is positive and is Light. The greatest impression for me to walk away with this morning was that whenever we are negative we spread darkness and whenever we are positive, we spread the Light and we spread hope.

  28. 49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.

POFW-we haven’t seen anything yet! We are
truly at the brink of seeing great things in God! We will see miracles, cancers will be healed and POFW will have that ‘Red Cross’ on it as Bro Mahaney said tonight. We will be the place for souls to to receive what they need from God…we’ll become a hospital of sorts…a sanctuary. We will have more of his glory because we are seeking his face & then his presence will fill the house, miracles will happen! MORE!

  29. Ministry

    John 3:30
He must increase, but I must decrease.

    Matthew 17:11-13
11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.

12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.

13 Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.

John did not seek a position but ministry. He wasn’t looking for a name for himself, no title, but to do the Lord’s will. We cannot fall into the trap of attaching ministry to a title, rather we should attach it to the will of God. If we will decrease that God would increase, we can experience true ministry in doing His will.

  30. 29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

I’m glad I can praise a God that forgives me of my sins.

  31. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

Reminds me of a old song “Jesus is the light that shineth in me” Our salvation is not just for ourselves but it also draws others to HIM.

  32. “Among you stands one you do not know.” (vs 26) Some of the pharisees had been sent to question John. All the whille Jesus was literally among them. John knew Jesus was soon going to reveal himself. The pharisees on the other hand were so spiritually blind and caloused hearted they didnt see it for temselves.. the religious could not detect Jesus, the Lamb of God. John urges the people to see Jesus as the Lamb of God as Jesus approaches (vs 29). He knows that he is the fulfillment of all the ormer pophecies and all the former wsys of atoning in the OT through animal sacrifice. Jesus is the perfect sacrifice, the perfect “Lamb of God” who takes away the sin of the world.”

  33. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

I have friends that think we do too much for the church or we are missing out on things of this world. They don’t comprehend the work has the best pay and benefits. He gives us an eternal retirement plan that is unmatched. Brother Mahany said it tonight, they have to Get in Christ Jesus for themselves before they can comprehend the light.

  34. Nathanael saith unto him,Whence knowest thou me? Jesusanswered and said unto him,Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, Isaw thee. Nathanaelanswered and saith unto him,Rabbi, thou art the Son of God ;thou art the King of Israel. Jesus answered and said untohim, Because I said unto thee, Isaw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.

A great thing about faith is seeing it happen before it even is.  Bishop Foster, a couple of Sundays ago preached about you gotta get the picture and here is a great example for it.  Jesus saw who his next disciple was its almost as if by faith he already knew.  The same way we must have a vision and see the things and believe God for them.

  35. But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name–[Isa. 56:5.] (‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭12‬ AMP)

So thankful for the privilege to become a child of God.

  36. 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light

Right when I read this verse I saw how each and every one of our names can be replaced where is says John. God has made us to be a witness for this world and to testify God.
I have never been lead by the Holy Ghost to so many different people in my life, what an amazing experience it is!

  37. 50 Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.
51 And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

Once again… BELIEVE:) all we have to do is believe and we shall see greater things. When we believe and see greater things our faith will grow and see even greater things and so on. Our faith is everything that is why the devil always wants to knock us out and try to make us believe that its not possible or just to good to be true. But I serve a God that is GREAT, MIGHTY, POWERFUL and that NOTHING IS TO HARD FOR HIM!!!!!! Just believe 🙂 Hallelujah in Jesus Name

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

  38. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭12-13‬ KJV)

Power is the Holy Ghost. You have to believe on his name, is like being baptizedh in his name? It’s like the birth process, but God choose them. It’s God’s will that none should parish that is shunned be saved

  39. 21 And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.
22 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?
23 He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.

As I read this last night, I saw that John the Baptist had absolutely no interest in having a title. Although he knew that he was prophesying about Christ, he still refused to be called a prophet, and stuck with ” I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness”…

  40. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Thank you God for putting yourself into a fleshly human body and dwelling among us so you could save us from our sins and unrighteousness.

  41. One God; One Person.

    John 1:33-34
” I did not recognize Him, but He who sent me to baptize in water said to me, ‘He upon whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining upon Him, this is the One who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.’ I myself have seen, and have testified that this is the Son of God.””

Jesus baptized us with the Holy Spirit. Joel 2:28 says God does. We understand these two are not different. Jesus is Jehovah in the flesh.

  42. He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him. (‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭10‬ NLT)

So many are lost and have no clue.. Even when God was walking on the earth People didn’t recognize Him, imagine the amount of disbelief there is with the world today. We need to reach out to the lost..

  43. 50 Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.

Jesus knows everything and what is in our heart. I glorify you Lord , I believe in you Jesus .
