John 3

1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?

5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?

10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.

23 And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.

24 For John was not yet cast into prison.

25 Then there arose a question between some of John’s disciples and the Jews about purifying.

26 And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him.

27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

28 Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.

29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

31 He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.

32 And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.

33 He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.

34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.

35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

  1. Humbleness

What an example of Humbleness. John could of taken advantage of this situation and grown strong in power but not him. He was humble, he gave all Honor, all Glory, all PRAISE to Jesus Christ. He recognize Jesus as God wrapped in flesh. I think that is the biggest problem with man, they fail to recognize Christ as the ONE TRUE AND ONLY GOD. God open their blind eyes so they might see the True God is you Jesus. In Jesus Name AMEN.

  2. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Jesus Christ came not to condemn us, but give us a life of hope. We must put our trust in Jesus and obey his word. God has made us a way to be saved, we must be born again of the water and the spirit.
We must turn to God and allow him to move in our lives like he wants to. It is time we are filled with the spirit of God, The Holy Ghost moving in our lives.
We should not be condemned but delivered from the sins of the world.

  3. “If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?” One that is unwilling will never hear, and never accept anything other than what they want too, which is all the more why; “He must increase, but I must decrease.” What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  4. 1. There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

    2. The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

Can people tell by what we say and do that we are sent from God, or are we creating doubt because what we do doesn’t line up with what we say? Eventually, people can tell if you really are what you say you are.

  5. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

We were once in darkness, not caring for the light, but once we became one of His we walk in the light of the truth and do his will.

  6. Verse 15-16 AMP “In order that everyone who believes in Him [who cleaves to Him, trusts Him, and relies on Him] may [c]not perish, but have eternal life and [actually] live forever! For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten ([d]unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.”

Verse 36 AMP “And he who believes in (has faith in, clings to, relies on) the Son has (now possesses) eternal life. But whoever disobeys (is unbelieving toward, refuses to trust in, disregards, is not subject to) the Son will never see (experience) life, but [instead] the wrath of God abides on him. [God’s displeasure remains on him; His indignation hangs over him continually.]” Same verse CEV “Everyone who has faith in the Son has eternal life. But no one who rejects him will ever share in that life, and God will be angry with them forever.” When you harden your heart that is exactly what you are doing….”rejecting him”. Every day that the Lord’s mercy gives you, is an opportunity “JESUS today YOU will SAVE me.”

  7. John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily I say unto thee, Except a man be born again (from above) he cannot see the kingdom of God.

    Must be born again!!
    Just Obey!
    Just Do It !!!

Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6.Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior; 7.that being justified by His grace, we should be made hiers according to the hope of eternal life.

  8. 30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

    This is my prayer.

31 He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.

I am just a human, i think human things, i react to things the same as other humans. I was made if the dust of the earth just like every human. I have have been born on this earth therefore i am nothing more than earthly but. GREATER is HE that is within me! And when the GOD OF GLORY comes to dwell inside me that is where the power is because my GOD IS ABOVE ALL!!

    Acts 1:8
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Power to change my circumstances, power to change my thinking, power to move God with my prayers and power to witness to the lost this is the liberating power that he gives me.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Thank God for this word! When i was in the flesh i did fleshly things. But the delivering power of the Holy Ghost says i don’t have to be that way anymore! There is POWER when youre filled with the spirit.

Paul said “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”
When we are filled with the Holy Ghost we should say the same thing about the flesh because we are new creatures in Christ Jesus. So to put away fleshly things would be in order.

Thank you Jesus for you are above all!!!!

  9. Belief is a Verb

    John 3:16 (KJV Strong’s)
” 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

This most widely used, and by far the most popular scripture in today is probably also the most misunderstood.

Many will say “All you got to do is believe and you will have everlasting life.”

However the American word for believe, and the Greek word are different in implication.

The American word for believe means mental assertion, and acceptance. It is the equivalent of agreement, and acknowledgment that something is true. This belief is fruitless, and produces little.

    James 2:19 (KJV Strong’s)
” 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.”

The Devils believe there is one God. However the Devils do not believe in that one true God. They mentally acknowledge the truth of who he is, but there is zero change.

The belief that Jesus is speaking of here in John is a belief with action. It means to trust, entrust, commit to, and credit. It means reliance upon. Not mere credence.

John is not using it as a noun, but as a verb. It is something that is done. It is a lifestyle. IT is obedience to his word. The Greek word is a present active participal meaning it is an action that must be accomplished by the subject.

    John 3:36 (KJV Strong’s)
” 36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”

    2 Thessalonians 1:8 (KJV Strong’s)
” 8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:”

We have many thoughts. But until we do something about the thought it remains hidden. Our belief in God will be manifested through our actions.

  10. decrease.

31 He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.

I must decrease so that He may increase. It has never been about any of us. The kingdom of God is greater than any person, we are but dust of the earth. But as lowly as we truly are in comparison to God we can still point people toward him by exalting him above all else.

  11. 15that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.16″For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.18Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.19This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.20Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.21But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.” NIV

Must be born again of the water!!!!!! Gotta be dunked not sprinkled in the water. Thank you Jesus for loving me when I am unloveable

  12. 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God
Throughout the ages this scripture still stands as one of the greatest proofs of the need of baptism AND spirit in filling. Some have tried to deny the need for one or the other but the truth remains it takes both to be saved!

  13. He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” (‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭36‬ NKJV)

EVERLASTING life!! There is no limit to the things in life that God can do for us. The possibilityes and the grace and mercy is never ending!! Thank you for life. And future and hope you have for me. I’m truly thankful.

  14. KINGDOM EQUATION

30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
31 He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.

GOD in his infinite desire for relationship, created man in HIS own image and after HIS likeness, which indicates that he gave us a measure of HIS power, authority and dominion, which HE possesses INFINITELY. This is the vehicle or process that we are able to exercise our FAITH.

GOD has empowered the heart of man through FAITH in HIM, GOD has empowered the tongue through submission to HIM. We all know and understand that POWER in the wrong hands is very dangerous. This is why it is so important that we understand and practice KINGDOM EQUATION.

    JESUS said:
9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

JESUS is attempting to share the KINGODM EQUATION with Nicodemus, that the way up with GOD is down with self.

A great challenge for Spiritual Leaders is knowing when to decrease that JESUS may INCREASE. John understood that when he had done all that he could, he must decrease his involvement and become a fan of GOD and PRAISE HIM for the VICTORY.

LORD help me to know when to decrease that you may increase, and help me to know when and where to take a stand.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGIve

  15. Who is in your spot light?

29-30 “That’s why my cup is running over. This is the assigned moment for him to move into the center, while I slip off to the sidelines. MSG

29 … this my joy therefore is fulfilled. 30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

Do we get wrapped up in who is in the spot light or the center of attention? I have never been one who desires to be the center of attention. It is quite difficult for me to speak publicly. Those occasions when Pastor calls my name from the platform is awkward and embarrassing for me. I have never desired to be in the spotlight, thus do not understand the conflict some people have with not enough “prime-time” exposure. However, it is obvious that some people crave attention and need the ego stroked just to feel normal, or the Lord would not put verses such as these in His Word.

  16. VS-23
At this time John the Baptist was not yet in prison. He was baptzing at Aenon near Salim BECAUSE THERE WAS PLENTY OF WATER THERE.
Because there was plenty of water there confirms in baptzing you have to go under the water instead of sprinkle on top of the head. why would people travel for miles on foot to water to be baptized if sprinkle was ok?

  17. 30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

31 He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.

I must decrease so that God can increase. We all are in this world and all have an earthy body, but that does not mean that we are of this world, because greater is he that is in us than he that is in this world! Just because we are in this world does not mean we confined to the things in it , it is our choice to choose to seperate ourselves from this world! Lord I want more of you and less of me!!

  18. 30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

Oh how I want to be transparent, I wish this was as easy as it is to type. Yet it isn’t, we live in a world of acknowledgement, achievement awards, and pride. Even on Facebook you can tag yourself in your own picture? What’s the point?

To be transparent is a true burden, I never want to be a bushel to the light of Jesus. To be a hindrance to the move of God, or a break in the chain. Never want to be to caught up in my own life, instead of the bigger picture. He must be the increase in our life, I must decrease daily.

2 Corinthians 4:5-6New Living Translation (NLT)
5 You see, we don’t go around preaching about ourselves. We preach that Jesus Christ is Lord, and we ourselves are your servants for Jesus’ sake. 6 For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ.

In order to be transparent, we must be like Christ.
Filter what your allowing IN; cause what goes IN will come OUT.

    Philippians 2:5The Message (MSG)
5-8 Think of yourselves the way Christ Jesus thought of himself. He had equal status with God but didn’t think so much of himself that he had to cling to the advantages of that status no matter what. Not at all. When the time came, he set aside the privileges of deity and took on the status of a slave, became human! Having become human, he stayed human. It was an incredibly humbling process. He didn’t claim special privileges. Instead, he lived a selfless, obedient life and then died a selfless, obedient death—and the worst kind of death at that—a crucifixion.

a true Christian – like Christ – transparent

1 Peter 1:16King James Version (KJV)
16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

“More, Holy Spirit” – Covenant Worship

    Holy Spirit break us
    Come and overtake us
You’re the one we’re living for
    Holy Spirit lead us
    To the heart of Jesus
There is nothing we want more

Teach us how to live beyond ourselves
Let everything we say and do
Bring glory to Your name and bless Your heart
God Show us how to love like You

Strip away my pride and selfishness
Take me back to my first love
Falling on my knees, now I confess
    You will always be enough

    We want more

    I decrease
    As You increase
    It’s all about you
    It’s not about me

  19. 30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

Without Him we are nothing. Too many times we profess Him, but we are caught up in our own self righteousness and our ways, and our actions speak nothing of His likeness and His characteristics. We must example what we say we are and that should be evident in everything that we do.

They say they longer you are married the more like you’re spouse you become. The same should be true about our relationship with Jesus. The more we decrease and He increases within us, we should be transparent and He should be seen at all times. We must work on this every day by dying out to the our will and our flesh. The is no room in these last days for self. Thus the reason Paul said, I die daily.

  20. And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. (‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭19‬ NLT)

Why would you want to walk in the dark then you can’t see the great things that God has made and us doing.

  21. 30 He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less.
31 “He has come from above and is greater than anyone else. We are of the earth, and we speak of earthly things, but he has come from heaven and is greater than anyone else. (NLT)

Less of me and more of You Jesus! You are so great and highly exalted above all!

  22. John 3:4 How can someone be born when they are old Incidents asked surely they cannot enter a second time into their mothers womb to be born. Jesus answered very truly I tell you no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.

  23. 11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

Jesus includes himself with His disciples here saying “we speak” and you choose not to hear and receive what we tell you.

As we all quest for more heavenly knowledge, we must also gain in earthly knowledge. Every time that Jesus tried to explain the supernatural/ spiritual, He used the physical/ natural to do so.

If we too do not receive the knowledge that is forwarded to us, via Pastor, the evangelist, prophets, teachers, the Word, Science, how are we suppose to have any sort of a grasp in how truly AWESOME Jesus is?

  24. AMPLIFIED
10 Jesus replied, Are you the teacher of Israel, and yet do not know nor understand these things? [Are they strange to you?]
11 I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, We speak only of what we know [we know absolutely what we are talking about]; we have actually seen what we are testifying to [we were eyewitnesses of it]. And still you do not receive our testimony [you reject and refuse our evidence—that of Myself and of all those who are born of the Spirit].
12 If I have told you of things that happen right here on the earth and yet none of you believes Me, how can you believe (trust Me, adhere to Me, rely on Me) if I tell you of heavenly things?

We have to give whole heartedly in everything we do, we have to give Jesus our trust, we need to rely on HIM at all times.
TESTIMONY: Last night after church, Jude was playing around with Elijah, fell and hit his head on our brick fireplace, his head was gushing out blood and immediately I got a wet paper towel and starting praying(AND so was the rest of the family that was witnessing his cut) until the blood stopped and within about 30 seconds it stopped gushing out THANK YOU JESUS FOR HEALING MY BABY!!!
I trusted and believed that God would take care of him(AND HE DID), Jesus is our healer.

    AMP
16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten ([d]unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.
17 For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.
27 John answered, A man can receive nothing [he can claim nothing, he can [f]take unto himself nothing] except as it has been granted to him from heaven. [A man must be content to receive the gift which is given him from heaven; there is no other source.]
28 You yourselves are my witnesses [you personally bear me out] that I stated, I am not the Christ (the Anointed One, the Messiah), but I have [only] been sent before Him [in advance of Him, to be His appointed forerunner, His messenger, His announcer].
29 He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the groomsman who stands by and listens to him rejoices greatly and heartily on account of the bridegroom’s voice. This then is my pleasure and joy, and it is now complete
30 He must increase, but I must decrease. [He must grow more prominent; I must grow less so.]
34 For since He Whom God has sent speaks the words of God [proclaims God’s own message], God does not give Him His Spirit sparingly or by measure, but boundless is the gift God makes of His Spirit!

We all have a purpose to witness to the unbelievers and those who seek the truth just as John said “but I have [only] been sent before Him [in advance of Him, to be His appointed forerunner, His messenger, His announcer].
WE NEED TO ANNOUNCE GODS GREATNESS AND BE HIS MESSENGER ALWAYS IN EVERYTHING WE DO!!! AT ALL TIMES, NEVER FORGET HIM!!
Thank you Jesus for your knowledge and understanding!!!

  25. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

31 He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.

The only way to live this Christian life is to know our place.  To lift God up and humble ourselves.  Who we are and everything we have is because of Him.  Every good gift comes from above.  All things were by Him and for Him.  The only reason why we can carry out the tasks that come before us is because of His Spirit that empowers us.  A humbling experience for us should be life itself.  Then we know who is in control when situations happen.  Every great man of God knew their place and held a fear for the the Lord.  We must enjoy the previlege to be His vessels and bring him honor.  Whatever great thing we do, we do it empowered by the Holy Spirir, therefore it was not me, but Christ in me.  There is a saying that has been spread and marketed on Christian atire; “I am second”.  John knew exactly what he came to do.  He came to prepare the way for the Lord.  Do we know what our place in the kingdom and our duty is?  As John describes a position of that to come and serve.  A servant prepares for His master.  So are we privileged to serve.  Thank you Jesus for every small and great opportunity to serve you.

  26. 28 Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.

John had every opportunity to exalt himself to those closest to him or at least claim some recognition for his role as the fore runner to Christ, yet he did not. Instead he instructed and taught that he must decrease so Jesus could increase. After all, he knew that Jesus was Messiah-sent from heaven. John understand that he also needed salvation no matter what role he played in the kingdom. We all have a role to play for his kingdom and cannot get caught up in who is the greatest or the least in his kingdom…rather we should be honored that he has given us a role to play & see it as a privilege to be part of it!

  27. 2 .This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God: for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him”
    3. Jesus answered and said to him, ” most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he can not see the kingdom of God,”
I always read these passage but I did not payed attention to the question and the answered. Nicodemus never asked”How can I be saved?
He knew the law,he knew the past signs of God, he knew about a messiah, but he was lost in the knowledge. He was not know God.
Jesus knew his concern about salvation and He answered that He needs to born again, his knowledge and traditions were not enough to go to heaven.
    Open my heart Lord!

  28. 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
Lord thank you for giving your son to save me and the world! 🙂
19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.
I want to be a light for you Jesus! Even when this world has gone into darkness I want to be a light and stand out for you! 🙂

  29. vss. 4-5 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Sprirt, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

The scriptures tell us that Nicodemus came to JESUS by night. He was hungry for more than miracles . He was hungry for TRUTH which is JESUS’ doctrine the salvation of his soul.
JESUS said to Nicodemus that the new birth consists of water and Spirit.

Peter preached this same doctrine which involes repentance, baptizim in the name of JESUS CHRIST ( the water birth) and in the in filling of GOD’S Spirit ( the Spirit birth)
Which empowers us with salvation and change our world for the good.
iLove my Holy Ghost my Comforter❤

HIS SPIRIT WILL help us endure ALL difficulties, obstacles , offences ,disagreements and circumstances .
The Holy Ghost will give us greater understating of who HE IS, and lead us in our daily lives to become more like HIM.
HE Dwells in our hearts, and some sweet day we will live and reign with CHRIST forever., because we have become part of GOD’S family and we belong to HIM.

    .

  30. 15, “That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.”
16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
17, “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”

2 Peter 3:9b says, “… but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
1 Timothy 2:4-6 says, “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.”

It is not the will of the Lord for anyone to perish or to be lost. Matter of fact, he made a way for all mankind to be saved, when Jesus gave himself a ransom for all mankind. He wants people to repent, be saved, and come to the knowledge of truth, but the only way this can happen is if they BELIEVE that HE IS THE SAVIOUR!

  31. Second Fiddle

29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

To “play second fiddle” is obviously not many people’s first choice, but there is blessing found in playing the part God has for us. Beyond the obvious of obedience, there is particular joy that we will only find in walking in the will of God. No matter what role we play (first chair, second, last, etc), there is nothing that can be better than doing God’s will for us.

    Psalms 16:5-6
5 The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.

6 The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.

  32. iLove to eat the Word

13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

This scripture is a mystery to some Trinitarians for the simple fact that it was Jesus that was speaking. He says the son of man had both ascended and descended and sits in Heaven. Jesus is God in all through all and can be in more than one place at one time!

  33. 30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

This is a true saying for is all. We must decrease so he can increase. We must put ourselves aside and do his will. By ding his will. We are able to be blessed and one of the ways we are blessed is by getting to do our desires as long as it’s in his will. Decrease to increase.

  34. Walking in the light and the truth is our only way Jesus give us direction in 66 books on how to get through this world so we can be with him for ever. Now it is our job to show others how great it is living by his path

  35. Lifted up

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

    John 12:32
And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

We sing the song… Lift him up and we dance and worship but the thought often goes through my mind of how we lift him up to the cross each time we fail him.

This scripture is referred to as lifting him up in praise and worship but it is really talking about him being lifted up to be crucified a horrible death to pay the ransom for our souls.

Jesus knew that the only way that we could be with him is if he be lifted up.

I sing the song a little different in my heart. I know that when he was lifted up on the cross it was the only way I get into heaven. I am drawn to him because he purchased me at Calvary and I am just giving him what he bought.

He was lifted up, then he was risen, now he has descended, and soon he will return

  36. This is a very important chapter as it shows us how to get to heaven. In this day and time we need direction on how to get to heaven. Jesus is that way.

  37. He must increase, but I must decrease. [He must grow more prominent; I must grow less so.] [Isa. 9:7.] (‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭30‬ AMP)

More of you Jesus. Lord, you are the most and the only important thing in my life. My prayer is that everything you use me to do, that those around me only see, hear and feel You. You must increase.

  38. Born of the water?

5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
    (John 3:5 ESV)

There are many interpretations of what this water is and I want to briefly discuss three. They are as follows: 1) the natural birth, 2) born of the word of God, 3) water baptism.

    1) The most unlikely interpretation to be accurate is that Jesus is talking about a natural birth. The premise behind the argument is that one must actually be born and given life in order to even be born again. Thus, one must be born naturally and spiritual, i.e. of water (natural birth) and spirit (spiritual birth). This is unlikely to be the intended meaning. Jesus states, “you must be born again,” after rebuking Nicodemus for thinking of an earthly birth.

    2) Finis Dake postis that his is to be born of the word of God. He states in his commentary on John 3:5, “Water is used in a figurative sense of salvation (Jn. 4:14; Isa. 12:3), of the Spirit baptism (Jn. 7:37- 39), and of cleansing by the Word of God (Jn. 15:3 Eph. 5:26). Since men are cleansed and born again by the Word (Jas. 1:18; 1Pet. 1:23), it is clear that being born of water means being born again by the Word of God.” I am in full agreement with what he says; however, his interpretation is not complete.

    3) The third and most likely correct interpretation is that being born of the water is referring to a water baptism. It is written, 25 I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you. 26 And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules. (Ezekiel 36:25-27 ESV) Thus, we see baptism in water and spirit is promised to us in the OT. We are born again in a figurative sense by the word of God. The word clearly states, 16 He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. (Mark 16:16 NASBStr) Belief and baptism seem to be tandem. It is also apparent that baptism was assumed to be part of the promised covenant by the Jewish leaders in that they mistook John the Baptist for the Messiah. We have heard it preached over the pulpit numerous times that the blood of Jesus Christ is applied to our lives through baptism. This is foreshadowed throughout the OT, especially in Exodus by the application of the blood on the doorposts prior to the Exodus. It’s shown to us on the cross as well. Many who opposed water baptism as essential quickly point to the thief on the cross with Jesus as not being baptized(I pointed out a few fallacies in this argument in a previous blog), yet they do not make note of what poured out of Jesus on the cross. It is recorded by John that, 34 But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out. (John 19:34 NASBStr) The fact that blood and water came out is no medical mystery. Neither is it a mystery spiritually. Christ’s sacrifice on the cross mixed blood and water prior to Acts 2:38. It is sufficient proof that these two collaborate with one another. We apply the blood sacrifice of Christ onto our lives by being buried with him in baptism.

  39. He must become more important while I become less important.” (‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭30‬ NET)

So true, GOD must be center of my life, in all that I do.

For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. (‭Acts‬ ‭17‬:‭28‬ KJV)

  40. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. (‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭19-21‬ KJV)

  41. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

When you open yourself to sin and darkness in your life, it also brings you out of the light and into the shadows, which is exactly what the enemy wants you to do, and he wants to trap you there. But if you feel like you are trapped in the darkness, the answer is Jesus.

When Jesus appeared to Paul on the road to Damascus, he told Paul why he appeared to him in this verse, and is the answer to us trying to seek the light

Acts 26:18 To open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is within me.

  42. Enter In
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

The Bible says to enter Hid gates with thanksgiving and His courts wiyh praise. (Psalm 100:4) This is the principle we use while here on earth to excite our surroundings and enter into His arms.

Yet this world is not our everlasting home. We must also gain wisdom from the word of God and prepare to enter His everlasting Kingdom. We must be born again of water baptism in the name of Jesus and recieve the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in toungs.

  43. 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Unbelief sets in when Jesus spoke about being born again. I pray every lost soul gets born again.

  44. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Wow! Hallelujah! I pray for those that do not believe in you that they may be able to open their eyes and see everything that you have created and done for us was because you love us. Thank you Jesus for your mercy and lead us to those who are lost 🙂

  45. Born Again !!!! 1. THERE was a man of the Phar’-I-sees, named Nic-o-de’-mus, a ruler of the Jews: 2. The same came to Je’-sus by night, and said unto him, Rab’-bi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3. Je’-sus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4. Nic-o-de’-mus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? 5. Je’-sus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spir’-it, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. I AM VICTORIOUS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS !!!!
