John 4

1 When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John,

2 (Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,)

3 He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee.

4 And he must needs go through Samaria.

5 Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.

6 Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.

7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.

8 (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)

9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?

12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?

13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:

14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.

16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.

17 The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband:

18 For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.

19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.

20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.

21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.

22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

27 And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her?

28 The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,

29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

30 Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.

31 In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat.

32 But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of.

33 Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat?

34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.

37 And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.

38 I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.

39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.

40 So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days.

41 And many more believed because of his own word;

42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

43 Now after two days he departed thence, and went into Galilee.

44 For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet hath no honour in his own country.

45 Then when he was come into Galilee, the Galilaeans received him, having seen all the things that he did at Jerusalem at the feast: for they also went unto the feast.

46 So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum.

47 When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.

48 Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.

49 The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die.

50 Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way.

51 And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth.

52 Then enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.

53 So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.

54 This is again the second miracle that Jesus did, when he was come out of Judaea into Galilee.

  1. To do the envangilism for The Lord.

    Vs. 34/

I like chptr 34 it talks about the meat that the Lord has which is to do the will of the Lord. I serve a Mighty God (Jesus).

I love the Lord’s Words for me today. I like the fact that I wake up wanted to read God’s word and reading at night. Thankyou Lord for Your gentle Spirit in my life. Thankyou Lord for directing my paths.
    Bless You,Lord.

  2. 28 The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,

29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

Once we see who Jesus is and what he has and can fo in our lives we cannot contain the news, but we have to share it.

  3. 9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

Jesus revealed to this woman who he was and told her all about herself. The woman wanted to drink of that water that Jesus told her about. Jesus then asked for her husband, which he knew she had a history, this was Jesus way of revealing to the woman what she needed. If we could see who Jesus Christ is we could begin to get our lives put back together with the help of God.
Yes God help me today and save me from myself!!

  4. Kingdom minded

Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

And many more believed because of his own word; (‭John‬ ‭4‬:‭34, 41‬ KJV)

Jesus wasn’t concerned about feeding the desires of the flesh. He was on a mission, and he fulfilled His mission.

We should always be like minded, and fulfill our daily mission. It could be that someone has lost hope, is ill, is scared, or whatever the need is.
As the scripture says “be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.”

    Why am I here?
    What’s my purpose?
    Is my mission accomplished ?

  5. NOT TODAY DEVIL, NOT TOMORROW, AND NO EVER!!!!
I have tried to post for the last 3 times and it has not allowed me to because of a glitch of internet. I will NEVER GIVE UP!!!

As I read our blog today, I say to myself, what a great banquet have you served for us God. There is everything on the table. I usually pick a verse or two that spoke to me but with this for some reason I would have to copy and paste the whole thing so I am just going to tell you in stages what I pricked my heart.

Jesus is sitting by the well as this woman comes to draw water. The first thing that happens is God speaks to her about what is important to her in that specific moment WATER. He is so wise, we should follow His example as we meet people and talk with them, find what matters to them on that specific moment. When ALL else fails ask, more than likely they will get excited or find a moment to vent. Jesus speaks to her about water. This woman comes to the well late in the day, must likely about noon, all the women go early to the well with their huge vases upon their heads and smaller bucket like on their hand, some have a yolk on their necks with one vase on each side. It is not easy work but a necessary for all women to do their house work and chores. She had to wait until they were all gone. They made her feel unwanted, unloved, they gossip about her, dragged her to the trash, and no one helped her. That is why it is important that when sinners come or backsliders we MUST SHOW LOVE, WE MUST BITE OUR TONGUES DO NOT GOSSIP, DO NOT LOOK UPON THEM WITH JUDGING EYES. The truth, the word of God will prick their hearts and set conviction in, our looks, our tongues of gossip, just sets condemnation and that will not bring anyone to repentance. SO PLEASE POFW BE AWARE OF HOW WE TREAT OUR WOMEN OF THE WELL. Jesus sat there and ask her for water (may be to see if she had a serving heart) or just to test her about her being a Samaritan or just to make the point that Him being a Jew consider her an equal. No matter the reason, He asked for the drink…she was surprise of this Jew willing to drink out of her vase. She was obedient, test #1 passed; then Jesus spoke to her about her husband, may be to see since she was a decedent of Jacob she was a liar, but she spoke the truth, test #2 passed; Jesus then begins to speak to her about the blessing that He has prepared for her by talking about the water He has for us. A water that you will thirst no more, a living water, that can flow in you, THE HOLY GHOST. She was excited, she could be liberated from the gossips, she will never have to go to the well again; but wait that’s not what He meant! None the less, she received it and immediately you know what she did with that living water living in her??? She went to EVANGELIZE the whole town. She ran to tell everyone, “YOU MUST COME SEE THIS MAN CALLED JESUS” What an invitation, simple, come see; I wonder what will happen if all of us in POFW will tell everyone we encounter, “You must come see this man of God, he speaks with truth, passion, determination, their worship is out of this world, they energy in their Praise invites God’s anointing, and the people, they care, they are friendly, they love with an AGAPE LOVE… Come see this man of God. I could take you there. You know what happened when she went and told them, they began to come to Him. We should follow Christ example find something they are excited about or something they are in need of, if you can figure it out ASK, must likely they will tell you if anything they will see someone they can vent to about there problems and guess what you have the solution for no matter what it is the solution WILL ALWAYS BE CHRIST JESUS. What a great Harvest and it came from an ADULTERER FORNICATOR. God can use ANYONE for HIS GLORY. HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then, come the disciples to offer Jesus meat to eat. Our Jesus said, not thank you I am full….He is full of the banquets of His Word. Sweeter than honey, better than any bread, and meat to sustain us. Next time you are fasting stay in His Word more and more and you will feel no hunger. I know the demands of this world sometimes make things difficult, we have our jobs, our chores, etc. All you have to do is follow His word
Psalm 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. Read your word before you depart from work, at break time, any time you get an opportunity, the rest of the day meditate on what you read, Praise Him with all your might even if is only humming, sing it in your mind and heart with passion and strength. He Loves YOU!!! He will feed you His word and HIS WORD WILL SUSTAIN YOU IN YOUR FAST.

Then comes Galilee, Jesus refers to this as a place where He will get NO HONOR… Why, you may ask? Must likely because home is where they know you from the start, they watch you grow, they know your family, and as the scripture say “Can any good come out of Galilee?” God’s plan is perfect in every way, He had to trust, it was the destiny that was drawn for Him so, He goes. A man from Galilee come to find Him in the path, crying, pleading, interceding for his son. Jesus looks at him and thinks, He has only done one Miracle in Jerusalem, “turning the water into wine at the wedding”, now He is asked to do another. The first one He did for His mother, now He is doing it for a father that is hanging to any hope to save his son. I have felt that desperation and it has no explanation. This father comes to Jesus with his request. Jesus answer: just go he is well. The father had so much faith that he didn’t continue to plead and beg, he went, and before he got to the house, he is met by a family member with the good news HE IS WELL. FAITH WHAT A POWERFUL THING. RELY IN GOD FULLY WITH FAITH THAT HE WILL BRING YOU THROUGH ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING.

  6. 28 The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,

29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

30 Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.

39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.

    42. And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

To be true believers, we have to experience Him for ourselves, not just live off of the experiences of others.

  7. 23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

AMEN! Worhship with clean hands and a pure heart is how we worship in truth for his word says be ye holy for i am holy. I want to be holy inside and out i want to be like Jesus to walk like him, to talk like him to, to love, think and live like him. In Jesus name

  8. Satisfying Soulwinning

The disciples came to Jesus asking if he was hungry. However Jesus was already full. He wasn’t thinking about food.

34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
    (John 4:34 KJVStrongs)

The disciples asked if he had some other meat, but Jesus took the time to clue them in onto what was satisfying him.

35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
    (John 4:35 KJVStrongs)

Jesus took the time to witness, and win a soul. Through his actions with the woman at Samaria a riptide brought many more people to him.

39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.
    (John 4:39 KJVStrongs)

I enjoy a big thick juicy steak, a thrilling story, and time spent at six flags. All of these things are good, but not eternally significant. Jesus wants us to be satisfied, and filled with his spiritual food.

Soul winning is the Lord’s meat. Soul winning is what compelled, and motivated Jesus. He was busy all the time. He hardly had time for anything because his focus was entirely on souls.

Jesus only prayed for himself when it was aligning himself with the will of the Father. He knew he would be provided for so he just let it come. Jesus prayed, and then he went looking for sheep.

Every once in awhile he would take a break from soul winning, and teach his disciples, and do a miracle.

10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
    (Luke 19:10 KJVStrongs)

Seek here means to seek in order to find to seek a thing to seek [ in order to find out] by thinking, meditating, reasoning, to enquire into to seek after, seek for, aim at, strive after to seek i. e. require, demand, to crave, demand something from someone
    ( STRONG)

    What are you hungry for?

  9. 23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

23 But the time is coming – it has, in fact, come – when what you’re called will not matter and where you go to worship will not matter. 24 God is sheer being itself – Spirit. Those who worship him must do it out of their very being, their spirits, their true selves, in adoration.MSG
It’s time we be true to ourselves and to GOD with true worship. It’s time we search our hearts and get out what don’t belong and let God dwell in our lives. We gotta have our own relationship with God, we cannot live off the blessing and skirt tail of others.

  10. THE LAW OF THE HARVEST

37 And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.
38 I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labors.

Obvious to those that have ever planted a garden or a field of crops we understand that if we are going to invest the resources (time, talent and treasure) in sowing the seed we are wise to be as well prepared to harvest the field. Few are going to plant a garden and invite the community to come and harvest it. This principal appears to be the plan that JESUS has laid out here in John 4.

We must understand as the disciples, JESUS is speaking in the spirit realm.

23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

In the SPIRIT any harvest we are blessed to receive it because of someones previous prayer, another spreading the word. We are BLESSED by the harvest of the prayers of previous generations and now the same responsibility is bestowed upon us to lay up Spiritual heritage for those that will come after, the LORD tarrying.

JESUS established this Kingdom principal so that when we are BLESSED and walking in HIS favor that we do not attempt to take credit for the success. But we can ever be grateful for a previous generation that gave themselves to prayer, bible study, and evangelism and that we would invest the same in the coming generations.

Thank you JESUS for all that labored before The POFW was ever a Ministry in this area. Thank you for the HARVEST that you have bestowed on us and the HARVEST that you have prepared for us.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  11. 23: But the time is coming–indeed it’s here now–when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. NLT

It’s time for us to be to True Worshippers; inside and out!

  12. but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” The woman said to Him, “Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw.” (‭John‬ ‭4‬:‭14-15‬ NKJV)

I want to have living water in me to show how great is the lord. Water of everlasting life!!! Thank you Jesus. For your love. Let me be a light. When they look at me they see you.

The cry of a sinner. A cry that we all have begged him for. Thank you Jesus for redemption.

  13. 50 Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth.

53 So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house
The faith displayed by this man is awesome. he so believed God that he would do what he requested that he did not seek proof from Jesus but simply “went his way” after God spoke heading over his son! God’s work and promises are true. If he said it we can believe it all we have to do is just “go our way” and receive our miracle!

  14. 23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

Now is the time to worship him! You don’t have to wait till your at church to worship him, you can worship him now! God is seeking for true worshipers!! Lord create in me a clean heart so that I can worship you in truth!

  15. 9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

I know in my life and I’m sure in the life of many other people, we wonder why God asks us of things in our lives, that we feel like we don’t deserve it or that God can bless someone else with special gifts and talents, but he just called us to an ordinary life, but God tells us that is not the case!

When the Samaritan woman asked Jesus why he asked her for a drink of water, his answer was, if that knewest WHO I am then you would be asking me for a drink.

We need to stop thinking on who we’re not and start thinking on who God is! How great is our God? We all know how great he is, we are all childs of God, called to do great and wonderful things in his name! It’s not about who we are but who God is and what he has given to all of us.

All he asks of us is to do one thing in this verse: Ask him for a cup of living water! And he will give it to you and allow to give a cup of living water to other people who are thristy.

  16. 28, “The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,”
29, “Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did; is not this the Christ?”
39, “And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.”
40, “So when the Samaritans were come unto him they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days.”
41, “And many more believed because of his own word;”
42, “And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.”

1 John 4:14 says, “And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.”

We need to be Exited and Full of the JOY of the Holy Ghost. When we Testify to others about what God has done and is doing and invite them to “Come,” they will follow and not just believe because of what we say, but experience JESUS for themselves. That they too can know that Jesus Christ is the Saviour of the world.

Be Full of the JOY of the Holy Ghost today and Testify!

  17. The Samaritans

9 Therefore the Samaritan woman *said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask me for a drink since I am a Samaritan woman?” (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)
    (John 4:9 NASBStr)

The Samaritans believed themselves to be the descendants of the northern tribes, who had been exiled in 722 b. c. by Assyria. In 2 Kings 17, however, the Samaritans are described as a mixed group, composed at least partly of pagans whom the king of Assyria had brought into the land from other nations. In Ezra 4 the Samaritans appear as troublemakers for the Jews who were seeking to reestablish themselves and their temple in the land following their return from exile.

This group did not identify itself with Samaria so much as with Mount Gerizim, near Shechem, which its members claimed was the place God had chosen for his sanctuary (see Dt 12:5, 11, 21, 26; 14:24–25; 16:6; 17:8; 18:6; 26:2). They believed that Israel had become apostate as soon as the sanctuary had been moved away from Shechem (“ Map 4”), during the time of Eli, the priest. The Samaritans rejected Jerusalem’s special place in God’s plans, and the ongoing tension regarding the proper place for the sanctuary of God is evident in John 4:20. Samaritans believed in the God of Israel, acknowledged Moses as his prophet and the Pentateuch as his revelation, and looked forward to the day when he would send the “prophet like [Moses],” as he had promised (Dt 18:18). They did not accept or acknowledge any Old Testament writings beyond the Pentateuch as canonical. (scripture)

The Jewish high priest and ruler John Hyrcanus destroyed the Samaritan sanctuary on Mount Gerizim in 128 b. c., and tensions between Jews and Samaritans remained high throughout the first century a. d. Samaritans scattered bones in the Jerusalem temple during Passover in a. d. 6–7 and in a. d. 52 massacred a group of Galilean pilgrims on their way to Jerusalem (Josephus, Antiquities, 20. 6. 1 and Wars, 2. 12. 3). Typically Jews would avoid passing through Samaria when traveling between Judea and Galilee. The Jewish accusation against Jesus that he was a Samaritan and therefore demon- possessed is consistent with the strong anti- Samaritan sentiment that motivated the destruction of their sanctuary; Jewish writings from this time (such as Sir 50:25–26, Jubilees 30:5–6 and the Testament of Levi 7:2) attest to this hostility (see also Jn 4:7–9). Samaritans were considered apostates and idolaters (based in part on Ge 35:4) and were viewed as more likely than Jews to be demonized. Jesus, however, apparently regarded the Samaritans as a genuine, albeit misguided, subgroup of the covenant people.

Garrett, Duane, Kaiser Jr., Walter C., “The Samaritans,” from “Archaeology Study Bible Notes,” Olive Tree Bible App., John 8:1 note.

  18. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

I worship my god with full spirit and full truth with the love and faith that heith provideith for me.I will be truthful and faithful to my God with every praise in jesus name amen !!!

  19. John 4:31 Meanwhile his disciples urged him. Rabbi eat something but he said to them. I have food to eat that you know nothing about. Then his disciples said to each other could someone have brought him food. My food said Jesus is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work. Dont you have a saying. It’s still four months until harvest? I tell you open your eyes and look at the fields. They are ripe for harvest.

  20. 11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?

Too often we oberve life with our physical eyes, and put too much trust in them. The Simaritan woman could physically see that Jesus had nothing to draw up a drink of water with, and that the well was deep. In her unbelief she asks Jesus where this living water is hiding. She believed in Jesus only after he revealed her wayward love life. How much should it take a saint of God to believe, and trust in him? We have free reign access to the living water of the Holy Ghost. Yet, drinking from it becomes a challenge just like the ones the Simaritan woman saw like time, and attitude all take stage. Jesus reached out to the Jewish people first and said to her that if she knew the gifts of God, which is His Holy Spirit then she would have given him a drink. Could we have recognized who Jesus was if we were in the Simaritan womans shoes?

Isa 55:8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD.

  21. 23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

God is looking for His people to sacrifice their all and worship Him wholeheartedly in spirit and truth. Worship Him in spirit and truth!

  22. “So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.” The father did as God (Jesus) had told him, as such his son lived. Although one may not understand, one is wise to heed the Lord (Jesus). What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  23. 26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

He has come and has risen. He that knowers all things. Jesus is coming again for a church that readys themselves. Be ready. It’s about to go down.

  24. iLove to eat the Word

22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

Jesus pretty much says, “Hey, You guys don’t even know what you’re worshipping. You guys are totally wrong and we are right.” If you think about it, its like a Pentecostal talking to a Baptist and telling them that we’re right and you’re wrong. Today, many Pentecostals and Baptists alike would think that might be wrong…but what would Jesus say? “22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship:”

  25. v4 And he must needs go through Samaria.

JESUS was and always is drawn to our needs and what our souls thirst for.

    iNeed
    iThirst
    iRepent
    iPray
    iPraise

The sacrifices of GOD are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart , O GOD, thou wilt not despise.

  26. Outward

9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

The woman knew that Jesus was a Jew because of his dress. She knew he was seperate. He never said he was Jewish just that he was thirsty. People should be able to tell what you belong to by what you look like. The pilot of American Airlines wears his uniform so that everyone knows who to talk to about the flight and everyone knows he’s the one that is suppose to be behind the cockpit. As we should look like we are serving God almighty.Your outward appearance will also change people’s response to you. I went with my uncle to buy a car one time. He had 30k in his truck cash to buy a new one, but he was dressed in worn out overalls and work boots. We drove up in an old farm truck with dents all over it and he got out looking at trucks. No one came to help us for a long time. When they did he told them which truck he wanted and they hesitated a little but took him to the finance office. After setting there for a while he realized that they were talking about financing it but he explained that he had cash. They said Sir we will not accept a check for 30k for the truck, you will have to get some financing. After much explaining he finally got through to them that he had 30k in cash locked up in that old
Farm truck. When he got back with the money all their attitudes changed
Dramatically and they treated him with much more respect. He looked like an old poor farmer who didn’t have 2 pennies to run together but that man just retired with millions in the bank. I understand humbleness but we as servants of the most high should look our best for him. Let people see the Seperation before they even know you

  27. 9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

ThAnkYoU God for living me for who I am. No matter what I did or who I am you still give me a time.

  28. 9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

The thought that jumped on me was, how did the wan know he was a Jew? Was the way he spoke? Or the way he looked? Can it be soo with us that people should be able to identify right away Jesus in us.

  29. Soon a Samaritan woman came to draw water, and Jesus said to her, “Please give me a drink.”

The woman was surprised, for Jews refuse to have anything to do with Samaritans. She said to Jesus, “You are a Jew, and I am a Samaritan woman. Why are you asking me for a drink?” Jesus replied, “If you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to, you would ask me, and I would give you living water.” (‭John‬ ‭4‬:‭7, 9-10‬ NLT)

It doesn’t matter your level of status or the color of your skin, God will use whomever He chooses. Let’s all work together, God has a message and He wants us to reach the world, there is no room for prejudices

  30. Verses 23-24 MSG “It’s who you are and the way you live that count before God. Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth. That’s the kind of people the Father is out looking for: those who are simply and honestly themselves before him in their worship. God is sheer being itself—Spirit. Those who worship him must do it out of their very being, their spirits, their true selves, in adoration.”

Same verses AMP “A time will come, however, indeed it is already here, when the true (genuine) worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth (reality); for the Father is seeking just such people as these as His worshipers. God is a Spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (reality).” The time if NOW to worship Him in spirit and in truth.

  31. 3 He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee. 4 And he must needs go through Samaria.

It was important for Jesus to go through Samaria because someone was going to be at the well that had a need, and was going to be instrumental in telling of the miracles that was happening through Jesus. He could have taken another route that maybe was more pleasing to Him to travel. He could have been caught up in His own agenda, but no, He allows the Spirit of God to lead Him, and thus a need was met.

Whose agenda are we following today? Ours? God’s? Another gods?
We must die daily to our flesh and keep our attitude and spirit under subjection to HIM that we might be of use to the Master. The souls of people in the Region of Fort Worth depend on spirit filled, Apostolic believers.

  32. 14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Amen 🙂 springing water that will be reaching out others for his kingdom. People that will be delivered in Jesus name, miracles happening right before our eyes, and people getting healed and renewed. The water that is everlasting because it brings to you new life, breathe of fresh air, and eternal life with the Lord 🙂 thank you Jesus for this everlasting water!

  33. Faith Against Circumstance

Sometimes we have faith for the miraculous but what we hope God will do, isn’t what He does. Our faith must not be hinged upon God answering in a certain way but in the reality of who He is. Then, it will no longer be all about the signs and wonders but about God touching our situation and making Him Lord to answer however He sees is best.

    Proverbs 3:5-6
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

  34. Water !!!! 13. Je’-sus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: 14. But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. 15. The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw. JESUS you are Amazing !!!! JESUS you are KING of kings !!!!
