John 8

1 Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.

2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.

3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,

4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.

5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?

6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.

7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.

9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

13 The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true.

14 Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go.

15 Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.

16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.

17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.

18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.

19 Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.

20 These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.

21 Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come.

22 Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come.

23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.

24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

25 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.

26 I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.

27 They understood not that he spake to them of the Father.

28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

30 As he spake these words, many believed on him.

31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

33 They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?

34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.

36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

37 I know that ye are Abraham’s seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.

38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.

39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.

41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.

42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.

44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?

47 He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

48 Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil?

49 Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me.

50 And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth.

51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.

52 Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death.

53 Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself?

54 Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:

55 Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.

56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.

57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?

58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

  1. 37 I know that ye are Abraham’s seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.

Being Abraham’s seed will not be enough to save us! We must be born again of water and of The Spirit. These people hated Jesus because he told them the truth.
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Not only truth but the son shall make you free.

36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

We need The truth of the son to make us free from sin!
Jesus came into the world to save us from sin.

Studying produces knowledge in which gives you the truth unto your freedom, and keeps his people from bondage or perishing due to lack of knowledge. “Study”……

When you get tired of walking in darkness, the Light of the world is always right there, ready to cast out all your shadows so that you can walk in His light to freedom.

It is difficult for me to understand people that don’t see that JESUS IS GOD!!!!!! It is written so many times in the word you will think they will believe. LORD OPEN THEIR EYES TO THE REVELATION OF ONENESS YOU ARE GOD!!! JESUS IS GOD!!!! ONE GOD, ONE FAITH, ONE BAPTISM!!!!! IN JESUS NAME AMEN.
BEFORE ABRAHAM WAS, I AM!!!!!!! DO NOT BE DECEIVED JESUS IS GOD.

  5. 29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him

Obedience. What Pleasure in the Lord.

This scripture sounds like trust and obedience. I pray that I trust him with my goings and life troubles and obiencedience comes before sacrifice..

  6. They kept demanding an answer, so he stood up again and said, “All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!” Then he stooped down again and wrote in the dust. When the accusers heard this, they slipped away one by one, beginning with the oldest, until only Jesus was left in the middle of the crowd with the woman. Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?” “No, Lord,” she said. And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.” ———- (‭John‬ ‭8‬:‭7-11‬ NLT)

We are so blessed to have tasted of His love, mercy, and grace!!!! Don’t be so quick to speak, or point fingers at others failures(sin). Always be ready to express the love of Christ. Our duty as a body is to nurture, teach, but above all LOVE everyone that they may stay in the church.

“Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults— unless, of course, you want the same treatment. That critical spirit has a way of boomeranging. It’s easy to see a smudge on your neighbor’s face and be oblivious to the ugly sneer on your own. Do you have the nerve to say, ‘Let me wash your face for you,’ when your own face is distorted by contempt? It’s this whole traveling road-show mentality all over again, playing a holier-than-thou part instead of just living your part. Wipe that ugly sneer off your own face, and you might be fit to offer a washcloth to your neighbor. (‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭1-5‬ MSG)

  7. 10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

Thank.you Jesus for not confeming us when everyonekne else was. Thank you Jesus for picking us up off of the floor and setting us free i thank you Jesus. For we don’t deserve your love nor your forgiveness but you are always faithful to both. Thank you Jesus for redeeming me.

  8. Verse 34 AMP “Jesus answered them, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, Whoever commits and practices sin is the slave of sin.” Same verse MSG “Jesus said, “I tell you most solemnly that anyone who chooses a life of sin is trapped in a dead-end life and is, in fact, a slave.” The very thing many people say as to why they don’t serve God…… because they don’t want someone telling them what to do; but, in fact, the devil has them so enslaved that they don’t even realize it. We have to pray for them and lead them into the light of God’s truth.

  9. 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Why? What is it about that the truth that sets us free? Is it the simple knowledge of good and evil, right and wrong? I believe so. Jesus is giving us the keys to freedom. If we know the enemy is the father of lies and his goal is to destroy us we know where we stand at all times. No matter what we say we are doing, where we claim to be it is the truth that cannot be denied to Jesus. He knows the intent of our heart and thus knows the truth behind our every word and action.

  10. He that is of God hears God’s word, ye who is not heareth not.

When you walk in the spirit you can hear the voice of God so much clearer than those that are bound to the physical world.

  11. Never alone

    John 8:29 (KJV Strong’s)
” 29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.”

    Matthew 28:19-20 (KJV Strong’s)
” 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

Our lives should never be empty, void, or boring. We should never feel completely alone, and left out. Jesus said that when we please him we will not be left alone.

When we please God we experience his presence 24/7.

    How do we please God?

Following his commandments. Doing what he says. And purposefully seeking and developing a relationship with him.

    Jeremiah 29:11-13 (KJV Strong’s)
” 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. 12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. 13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”

We are truly never alone when we focus and seek God for God. When we read his word, not for a message, but to know him more. When we pray, not for stuff, but to know him more. When we work as fellow laborers we know him more.

Make it all about Jesus and everything will fall into place.
Make all of it and then add Jesus and everything will fall apart.

Matthew 6:33 (Amplified Bible – AMP)
“33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these thingstaken together will be given you besides.”

  12. 34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

This scripture is pretty straight forward. There is no need to look for a mysterious meaning. Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. A servant must do what their master say or suffer the consequences. The devil is not your friend, no matter how he tries to make you believe that. A servant is also bound to the one he serves. God calls us friend. I would much rather be a friend of God then a servant to sin.

  13. 37 I know that ye are Abraham’s seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.

When we disobey His Word and sin it’s like putting Christ on the cross over and over again. The greatest part of this whole chapter is how openly and boldly the mercies of God is revealed to us. In stead of casting stones at those that are wrong let us be as Christ. Let us get on our knees and write in the ground. You may ask what to write? Write the truth of His Word and mercy for those that are living in sin. That at the moment they decide to turn their heart and face towards God they have you to help them. Im not encouaging you to water down the gospel just become the gospel. The “Good News” speak truth but positively. Pray for them and in your prayer time is when you let God rewrite their life.

If there’s ever been a hour that this world need prayers it’s now.

  14. THE POWER OF SPEAKING SAND

Intriging to me that at the writing finger of JESUS in the sand the Pharisees heard it. I have read what someone has written in the sand, but never have I heard what was written in the sand. Probable is the fact that they are the same experience. The pharisees most likely read what was written in the sand and the message was so strong that it was screaming at them. However we cannot exclude the possibility that the ground did speak.

However the case, we witness the results of speaking sand, GRACE stood by while MERCY showed up. The LOVE of JESUS delivered this guilty soul. The aged question has been, “what did JESUS write in the sand?”, I don’t know all I know is that it was POWERFUL and SUCCESSFUL.

May the LORD GOD of heaven and earth help us to hear HIS voice today in whatever form or method HE desires to speak to us.

  15. 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.

    Amen.

  16. 9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

Elders can see and realize things sometimes for many reasons that others cannot see or take longer to understand..

  17. 28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

We need to do things that please The Lord not go against him.

  18. 10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

I’m thankful for such a merciful God for when we were living in darkness he brought us out! Lord you can use me to be a light unto this world!

  19. What is my reflection showing?

19 Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.

Can this be said of us also? When people see us do they see Jesus, or do they see our pride, our selfish ways, our fleshly desires? God has called each of us to die daily out to ourselves so that we might become more like Him. We must take on His characteristics and for of us that means, uprooting our own ways and thoughts to become like Him. I must be like Jesus and I must be Jesus to those that I meet on a daily basis. I must decrease that He would increase in me!

  20. 54 Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:

Jesus didn’t honor himself, he honored God. But Jesus is God isn’t He? Yes. Jesus is all God and all man. Jesus submitted His flesh to the spirit and by doing so he put the will of God first and God honored him in the flesh. Jesus lead by example. We today are filled with the Holy Ghost but we still have our flesh. Our challenge is to submit our flesh to the spirit everyday and put God first. By abasing our flesh and exalting God by lifting him up and obeying him we honor the father and in turn he will honor us.

    Matthew 25:34
” Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:”

  21. 31 Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings.
32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

34 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin.
35 A slave is not a permanent member of the family, but a son is part of the family forever.
36 So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free. (NLT)

I am so greatful for our God who is so forgiving and sees past our sin to bring us salvation. We have a choice and if we chose to commit a sin I thank God we are not forever bound by it but instead we also have the choice to chose the salvation He has brought us. Thank You Jesus for a chance to be free from sin and alive in You!

  22. Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (‭John‬ ‭8‬:‭31-32‬ NKJV)

Know his word and every day you will feel free. Know his word when they try you you can know the truth. Know his world and you will be connected to his heart for the rest of your life.

    We are truly free indeed.

  23. And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,

This parable reminds us not judge our brothers and sisters and forgive others as Christ forgave us. When Jesus asked who have ever sinned there was both young and old that came forward and they realized what point God was making. Don’t think your better than anybody else because you think what you’ve done isn’t as bad as someone else. SIN IS SIN. See it the way God sees it!

  24. 31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

The continuance in the word of God is what makes us his disciples not just a one time thing counter or one time breakthrough but having that personal daily church experience.

  25. Cast a Stone !!!! 1. JE’-SUS went unto the mount of Ol’-ives. 2. And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them. 3. And the scribes and Phar’- I-sees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, 4. They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. 5. Now MO’-SES in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? 6. This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Je’-sus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. 7. So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. Deut. 17 : 7 THANK YOU JESUS !!!! GLORY TO YOU LORD !!!! WE HAVE OVERCOME !!!!!

  26. 58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

Exodus 3:13-17 is where God speaks to Moses, refering to Himself as I am, and assuring the Israelites that He will spite Egypt.
It is undeniable who He is. It’s remarkably how delusional the Jews are to the point they deny ever being in bondage. So, I can understand what kind of blinded people Jesus is dealing with. What I had trouble recalling was when Jesus said “56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.” I believe Jesus is speaking of in Gen 22″4On the third day Abraham raised his eyes and saw the place from a distance.” Abraham was told to go and sacrifice his only son Isaac, to a place he would guide him. On the third day he found the place the Lord wanted him to go, and told his servants to stay behind with the donkey and worship. Abraham was on a mission for revelation and was ready to rejoice. The Jews could not stand the light of Jesus’ revelation to him, Jesus did say that they were of this world, and proceeded to stone Jesus. However, Jeusus went “through the midst of them, and so passed by.” I’m convinced that if light like the revelation of Iam was right in from of someone and they couldn’t see it, then it can breeze right past you and you could never catch it. Wisdom cries aloud like Proverbs 1 20-25 yet they refuse to hear her, or perhaps are too far away spiritually in the world that they are deaf to the truth revealed and repeated in this chapter.

  27. “Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.” They heard, yet they heard not. One that truly hears will do what sayeth the word of God (Jesus), whereas one that hears not, will not. One that wants life will do what the word of God says, and heed the man of God. What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  28. 51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.

What this verse means to me is that little by little our father in Christ says unto us as men that we need to keep his word in us that keeps us in victory and that we shall never see death !! In Jesus name amen !!

  29. 10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

Jesus is forgiving and loving he gives many opportunities to make things right and turn away from sin. Thank you Lord for mercy and grace.

  30. 12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people, that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness and into his marvellous light.

1 John 1:5-7 This then is the message which we have heard of him and declare unto you that God is light and in him is no darkness at all.

If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in darkness, we lie and do not the truth.

But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus Christ his son cleanseth us of all sin

  31. Put the stones DOWN!

So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

We are very quick at times to judge what we don’t understand. I would say that most of the time people genuinely don’t mean to do wrong but it is circumstances that lead them into sin. We were all born into sin and shapen in iniquity so who can really judge? I believe we are quick to judge because it seems to cover up our shame. We have to put the stones down and take up a burden and a love for people. Quick to Love and Slow to Judge.

  32. iLove to eat the Word

30As he spake these words, many believed on him. 31Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

In order to become and remain a disciple of Jesus, we must continue in the Word of God. That’s why it is so important to get our new disciples into a HBS. It is the only way that they will learn the truth to become free.

  33. Truth

10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

We cannot afford to get stuck in our past. Sometimes to leave it behind, we must confront the reality of our situation and let the lies be disproved by shining the truth of the Word on it. The intimidation of condemnation over the past can enslave our present and destroy our future; the way out is to allow the Lord’s salvation to extend to us in every way over our past and surrender it all to Him that it would not hold us captive any longer.

    John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

  34. 31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

We have been taught this before, and here we read it “again”. To be a disciple of The Lord we have to continue in His word. Without the Word of God we cannot or know truth. We cannot know Him. He is truth and it is only Jesus, the Truth, that can set us free.

  35. 12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Amen! When people see us they should notice something different because of the way we talk, look, and relate to things. Even though we live in this world we know that we are not from the world and shall not be like the world. This world has nothing for us.
My husband and I were once eating at restaurant when a man just randomly comes us to us and asks us yall go to church right and we said yes and asked which one? And as we told him and talked to him I was thinking Hallelujah, thank you Jesus for being the light and salt of this world 🙂 Because without us even talking to him or having eye contact he noticed the difference that was in us and wanted to know what was different. To me this is the proof that we are followers of Christ 🙂 because it says “those who follow me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life 🙂

  36. V58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

JESUS CHRIST IS both the cause of and the reason for everything .
The I AM of the Old Testament is also
” For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily” Colossians 2:9

v19″ If ye has know me, ye should have known my Father also.

And we can have life everlasting through HIS PRECIOUS NAME… JESUS !!!

Ooh ooh there goes the stones.

Rev.1:8. I Am Alpha and Omega the beginning and the ending saith The Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty .

  37. Anyone who belongs to God listens gladly to the words of God. But you don’t listen because you don’t belong to God.” (‭John‬ ‭8‬:‭47‬ NLT)

This is a good reminder (for me) of when you live against the word of God you’re basically stating you want nothing to do with Him. If you truly love Him, you will want to follow His word. You will have a yearning to be closer, to know more and make Him happy…

Like any relationship it will be work but if it’s true selfless love (which is what God has for us, he’s just wanting it in return) then nothing else will be able to compare..

    God is love

  38. I Am

    V 58

This is one of the eternal names of God, proving that He existed before Abraham (Ex. 3:14-15 Mic. 5:1-2 Jn. 1:1-2

In EX when God reveals himself as I am it is the hebrew verb that translates to mean to be. God is self sufficient and simple is.

Here, Christ applies that name to himself revealing his diety.

  39. Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. (‭John‬ ‭8‬:‭31-34‬ KJV)

So thankful for the Word that is true and pure. It’s my foundation and my guide.

  40. “Where is your father?” they asked. Jesus answered, “Since you don’t know who I am, you don’t know who my Father is. If you knew me, you would also know my Father.” (‭John‬ ‭8‬:‭19‬ NLT)

God is his father. There’s only one God.

  41. John 8: 48 the Jews answered him aren’t we right in saying that you are a Samaritan and demon possessed? I am not possessed by a demon said Jesus but I honor my Father and you dishonor me. I am not seeking glory for myself but there is one who seek s it and he is the judge. Very truly I tell you whoever obeys my word will never see death.

  42. 26 I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.

Jesus had a prayer life connecting him with God and he did nothing or said nothing except what he received from God to do. We must not forget how much time in prayer Jesus himself spent so that he know where to go and what to speak so that the will of his Father would be done. Even as God in the flesh, his humanity had to be overcome. He did not come to judge, he came to speak the Word and his word will judge us.
