John 14

1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?

10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.

12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?

23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.

25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.

30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.

31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

  1. 9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?

    Show Yourself to me JESUS!

I pray that You radiate Yourself to me Jesus.
I pray that Your Glory will manifest in me always Jesus. I repent of my ill doings, ill thoughts etc.
I pray Jesus that I will bring light to this lost generation (Jerimiah 19).

Let me follow You, Jesus in everything You want me to do.

    ipray…in Jesus Name…amen.

  2. 15. If ye love me, keep my commandments.

    21. He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me:
and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

    23. Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words:

    31. But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do.
    Arise, let us go hence.

Don’t just tell Him you love Him, show Him you love Him by keeping His commandments; and to be the example, He showed us that He loves the Father by keeping His commandment.
He never asks us to do anything that He hasn’t already done.

  3. “Let not your heart be troubled.”

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭1-4, 27‬ KJV)

  4. Fear Not for our Jesus will come for us SOON VERY SOON.

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Yes! The world is in chaos, and yes, times are getting tougher and tougher; but fear not Our Lord JESUS got it ALL under control. He will NEVER LEAVE US NOR FORSAKE US. He has a mansion prepared for us.

  5. Verse 1 AMP “Do not let your hearts be troubled (distressed, agitated). You believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely on God; believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely also on Me.”

Verse 6 AMP ” Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.”

Verses 15-17 AMP “If you [really] love Me, you will keep (obey) My commands.
And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever—The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you.”

Verse 27 AMP “Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]”

Don’t be troubled, believe in, adhere to, trust in and rely on God. Love Him, keep His commandments and He will give you a Comforter, The Spirit of Truth and a Peace that only He can give……Wow, what else can you ask for? My daughter has a shirt that says “Know God, Know Peace…….No God, No Peace”.

  6. 23, “Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.”
24, “He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.” (KJV)

“Because a loveless world, said Jesus, is a sightless world. If anyone loves me, he will carefully keep my word and my Father will love him – we’ll move right into the neighborhood! Not loving me means not keeping my words. The message you are hearing isn’t mine. It’s the message of the Father who sent me.” (MSG)

1 John 2:3, “And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.”
1 John 2:4, “He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.”
1 John 2:5, “But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.”
1 John 2:6, “He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.”

If we truely know and love the Lord, we will Keep His Commandments and be Obedient to His Word. Then the Father will come and dwell within us and love us.

Thank You JESUS for the Holy Ghost!

  7. 27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

What is peace to you? To me, peace is the ability to endure hardship, outlast heartache and overcome adversity. I have recently found peace. It is amazing in its simplicity and power. In the midst of some of the worst heartache and turmoil praying for and accepting peace has calmed the winds of the storm. It was not instant. It took effort on my part; how can I be any different than the disciples?

Mark 4:38-39 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

I had to wake up Jesus!

  8. 15″If you love me, you will obey what I command.16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever–17the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.18I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. NIV
If we have Jesus what more do we need. Jesus is all I need when all the world is falling apart around us.
I like the verse Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD your God, he it is that does go with you; he will not fail you, nor forsake you. KJV Deut. 31:6
The Lord will not forsake us, but we forsake him. When things are going wrong we are crying out to God and then as Pastor said yesterday when we get a blessing we don’t know who God or church is. God help us to praise him in the good and bad times.

  9. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

Jesus prepared a way for us! The way of truth that will lead us to him. I am thankful everyday for the truth that God revealed to me! Without truth no one could come to God, we need to be brought to the knowledge of what God expects from us.
We know Jesus went and he left us a blue print of how we should follow. He even said it plain enough and the way you know.

20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

The truth of the oneness of God is here for us in these scriptures.
    TRUTH, TRUTH, TRUTH

  10. The Holy Ghost

    John 14:26 (KJV Strong’s)
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

When God filled us with his Spirit we received an amazing gift.

He is our comforter. The word comforter means

(Olive Tree Enhanced Strong’s Dictionary) g3875. παράκλητος paraklētos; an intercessor, consoler: — advocate, comforter.
    AV (5) – comforter 4, advocate 1;
summoned, called to one’s side, esp. called to one’s aidone who pleads another’s cause before a judge, a pleader, counsel for defense, legal assistant, an advocate

(Vine’s Complete Expository Dictionary) parakletos (παράκλητος, 3875), lit., “called to one’s side,” i.e., to one’s aid, is primarily a verbal adjective, and suggests the capability or adaptability for giving aid. It was used in a court of justice to denote a legal assistant, counsel for the defense, an advocate; then, generally, one who pleads another’s cause, an intercessor, advocate, as in 1 John 2:1, of the Lord Jesus. In the widest sense, it signifies a “succorer, comforter.” Christ was this to His disciples, by the implication of His word “another (allos, “another of the same sort,” not heteros, “different”) Comforter,” when speaking of the Holy Spirit, John 14:16. In 14:26; 15:26; 16:7He calls Him “the Comforter.” “Comforter” or “Consoler” corresponds to the name “ Menahem,” given by the Hebrews to the Messiah.

The Holy Ghost pleads our cause, stands in the gap, intercedes, counsels, teaches, and reminds us quietly. He comforts, and counsels. He is God almighty within us helping us make it through the life to the other side!

  11. If ye love me, keep my commandments. -John 14:15

The scripture often talks about Abraham’s faith, it describes to us how he followed after God. It lets us know how he held on to God’s promise. He was obedient to the word of God.

Why? Was it simple for the promise? I believe it was more than the promise I believe it was because of Love?

And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of: -Genesis 26:2

And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; -Genesis 26:4

Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws. -Genesis 26:5

I think Abraham’s love for God brought about obedience in his life.

  12. THE COMFORTER

In a troubled would with a deceptive society and lives filled with opposition, we need HELP. The foresaw our day as well as every other generation prior to ours and knew that we could not survive without SPIRITUAL help.

A true disciple of Christ is easily seen in times of trouble, the fruit of our walk in the Spirit is the power and presence of the Holy Ghost, the comforter. Understanding the benefits of the Holy Ghost in our lives should inspire us to seek MORE of HIM.

Comforter – 3875. parakletos, par-ak´-lay-tos; an intercessor, consoler: — advocate, comforter.

JESUS teaches us here in John 14 that TROUBLE should not be an end to our serving, ministry or hope. He teaches us that FAITH in, total reliance on HIM will empower us to Keep Digging through TROUBLE because of the BLESSING.

1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

PROOF THAT JESUS IS THE HOLY GHOST

15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
    16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

PROOF THAT JESUS IS THE FATHER

8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?

    Thank you JESUS!

  13. John 14:23 Jesus replied anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them and we will come to them and make our home with them. Anyone who doesn’t love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own they belong to the Father who sent me. All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Advocate the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my nname will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I said to you.

  14. 18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Wikipedia states that “Fathers” are protective, supportive, and responsible toward their children. Why would our heavenly Father be expected to do anything less.

Growing up, we would get so caught up in the discipline and correction to understand the actual lessons our fathers taught us.

Did I want to kill the bugs? No.
Did I want to take the trash out? NO!
Did I want to learn how to change a tire? No.
Did I want to build fences, and dig post holes? No.
Did I want to learn how to drive in Downtown Dallas Traffic? No.

Yet if I took all these learning experiences with a negative attitude I’d never be who I am today.

Now with a positive attitude I learned how to stomp on the Devil’s head just as I had to kill those bugs. Just like I took the trash out, I now know how to empty the trash in my life, removing carnality. As I learned to change the tire, I realize that in times we will be down and messy, but there’s always someone there who will come to help you. Digging the post holes was never fun, but just as Pastor preached last night; Just Keep Digging. Learning to drive in downtown Dallas traffic not only taught me how to handle any traffic situation, it taught me a patience.

Just as my worldy father taught me all the ways to live, our Heavenly Father will test us to mold and form us to who He needs us to be. Although in times we will feel like they have left us to crash and burn. The word stated “I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” just be patient and wait on the Lord.

  15. Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it! (‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭14‬ NLT)

All you got to do is ask in his name.

  16. iLove to eat the Word

God wants to be glorified. I know that is a simple statement, but the fact of the matter is, when there are great miracles that are taking place and the dead are being raised, and the blind are able to see, these are the miracles that glorify God.

Jesus says, “12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”

It is the will of God for the endtime church to rise up and do greater works than these. The one thing we lack is humility. Once we embrace the Spirit of humility, God will be able to trust us and He will receive all the Glory.

  17. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. (‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭2‬ NKJV)

Song from when I was youngster:

“Come and go with me to my fathers house come and go with me to my fathers house! It’s a big big house with lots and lots of food. With a big big yard where we can play football. ”

And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. (‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭13‬ NKJV)

Everything I do I want it to glorify you!

“If you love Me, keep My commandments. (‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭15‬ NKJV)

Just a simple request. But we find outselfs struggling with these simple things. God help me. I need you.

  18. 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

I am thankful that the Lord allowed me to receive Truth. We have been chosen by the Lord to carry the gospel, to know the truth, to allow the truth to liberate us from the world, separate us from sin, and be part of the chosen generation, royal priesthood. The world cannot receive this Truth unless a spirit of revelation be given to them. I am thankful God chose me.

  19. 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

We don’t have to be afraid God sent the Holy Ghost to be our comforter, to protect us and to bring us peace. Thank you Jesus for the Holy Ghost! I will forever rejoice in you!!

  20. THE PROMISE

    16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.

    THE CONDITION
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

it’s easy as 1.. 2.. 3.. we just need to have faith and keep a positive attitude

  21. 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him

Jesus clearly emphasizes the oneness of God again in these verses and makes it clear that prayer is to be in the name of Jesus and that no one can come unto the father except it be through him

  22. 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

    Amen.

  23. NLT 9 Jesus replied, “Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and yet you still don’t know who I am? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking me to show him to you? 10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me. 11 Just believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. Or at least believe because of the work you have seen me do.

Having a relationship with Jesus will let you know and feel who the Father is. You’ll be able to feel, see and hear God in your presence. Like the verse says, just believe in Jesus and he will guide your ways.

  24. Trouble

27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Just because we encounter trouble doesn’t mean our heart must be troubled. As Pastor preached, our circumstances do not have to dictate our attitude. Trouble will come, but God has promised us peace that passes understanding and joy unspeakable. Our lives can be a reflection of His victory no matter what we face.

    2 Timothy 2:12
If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us

  25. 31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

How can we know or show that we love?  The Lord Jesus gave us a great illustration;  to love is to obey.  When we love someone we attentively listen to what they have to say.  And if the one we love asks something we do it right away and willingly.  Love it’s an emotion that causes us to get out of our prosaic lives and do that which we think so difficult, or impossible.  Now obeying what they say is just a sign of the love. Why?  Because we want to please the one we love.  There is a great joy in pleasing and wanting to do what out loved one wants.  Obeying is just a matter of love.

  26. 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Jesus is our Lord and our savior! Through him comes our salvation in Jesus name.

  27. John 14:9-10
Jesus *said to him, “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works.

In this passage Christ lets us know that if we see him we see the father. The father incarnate in the form of the son. Christ is both father and son. Father in Spirit; son in Flesh.

  28. 17. “The Spieit of true , whom the world canon it receive , because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him; for He dwells with you and will be in you.
    18. ” I will not leave you orphans; I Will comienza to you.
Jesus my Lord was talking about himself(Spirit) coming inside of us and not leaving His church orphan but empowered because we have Now His Spirit!!!
The apostle John explained more in detailed about Who is God, maybe He passed more time with Him?

  29. 1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

I trust my father with my life,I never have to worry about having my heart be troubled because our God gives us a winning attitude through our battles. I that believes my God that can do anything through my life that shines his light in my path to victory an no matter what kinda of storm I go through God is my Rock and strength

I will keep digging and digging with my shovel that my God provideith me to shovel my way to blessings !!! In Jesus name Amen !!!

  30. As I read this passage, my mind started to rattle about the “Trinity” doctrine v. the “oneness” of God (mind you, I was raised under the “Trinity”).The idea of worshiping three gods is too much to handle. I remember growing slightly confused because I couldn’t comprehend who exactly I’m suppose to pray to. Then bam! The Truth came! There is One God over all, not three “persons” over all. Thank you God (so happy i don’t have to say “gods” haha!) for that wisdom. Repeatedly the Bible shows the truth, yet we are blinded. Oh goodness. And yet the generalized “Christian” American is offended when other countries view America as a polytheistic country. Under the “Trinity” doctrine so wildly proclaimed, those who believe in that are polytheists, technically. I wonder how many of those know that about their own doctrine? Again, Lord, I praise for the truth You have given us!

I have longed for the dwelling places Jesus hints at in verses 1-4. Reading those today brought to mind this quote from C. S. Lewis- “If I find in myself desires which nothing in this world can satisfy, the only logical explanation is that I was made for another world.” Can I get an amen to that?!
19 …”because I live, ye shall live also.” We were created in dependence upon God, the Provider. What a humbling reminder!

  31. “Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” The Lord (Jesus) enlightened them why the world could not see. One should first pray for clear vision, and then for those that may be blinded. What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  32. vss.18-19 I will not leave you comfortless:
    I will come to you.

19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me; because I live, ye shall live also.

HE would leave, but HE soon returned yo live in our hearts
Thank you JESUS for the Holy Ghost our comforter
YOUR WORDS OF FAITH and comfort in our times of uncertainty and in need . In those moments when we realize that our situations are beyond our control.

    iRepent
    iPray
    iPraise
    I Rejoice

  33. 21 The person who has My commands and keeps them is the one who [really] loves Me; and whoever [really] loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I [too] will love him and will show (reveal, manifest) Myself to him. [I will let Myself be clearly seen by him and make Myself real to him.] (AMP)

Hallelujah! Keeping and obeying his commandments=loving Him! Loving him=Being loved by God!

Keepeth-to attend to carefully, take care of
    to guard
metaph. to keep, one in the state in which he is
    to observe
    to reserve: to undergo something

So let’s keep guarding the commandments because that is proof that we love God. So if we don’t keep His commandments we don’t love God. Wow what a revelation! Thank you Jesus for your daily bread 🙂

  34. 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

I am so blessed to have the comfort of God in life.Knowing from the darkness I once lead. Being naïve and I unknowledge of his word.As I walk in this world I”m greatful to my Father no matter what kind storm I may go though he is my mountain.Theres days in my life if it not for the comfort of God. My ignorance would have got the best of me.Thank You Lord for your Confort in my life,Most of all in my heart.

  35. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭16-18, 21, 27‬ KJV)

JESUS knew what was going to happen he. Was comforting his disciples before hand because me knew they would need his word sod encouragement. Be like JESUS and go encourage someone today.

  36. 13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

What an awesome God we serve. Jesus has the power to turn any circumstance around. Thank you Jesus for allowing me to shine for you.

  37. 18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Jesus said that he would not leave us confortless, that he would come to us. As the Holy Ghost ( the Conforter)he would be able to come to us.
The word confortless comes from the word
ὀρφανός orphanós which means orphan or parent less or fatherless.
The disciples knew he was the Father, that’s why with all authority he could say he would be able to come to them.

  38. 12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

If we only had the faith to believe, what marvelous things we could do in the Name of Jesus.

  39. 9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?

10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.

This entire chapter explains to us who Jesus is and that we should receive his spirit-the Holy Ghost. The disciples couldn’t grasp it all while Jesus was still with them, but afterward his resurrection, they did understand like he said they would. Today we can see the entire story completely and do not have to wait for it to unfold and be revealed-we have it before us. Jeus is the mighty God & the Prince of peace!

  40. 27) Peace I leave you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

  41. Mansions !!!! 1. LET not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. John 14 : 27 2. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. John 13 : 33 3. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 4. And whither I go ye know, and the w2ay ye know. 5. Thom’-as saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6. Je’-sus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Jesus is the only way the truth and the life !!!!
